Глава 5

So we laughed all the way home, I mean, we laughed all the way to Shao Yuzhe's house.

This time, Shao Yuzhe was in charge of cooking, and I was his assistant. Last time when he assisted me, I asked him about it, and he said that because he was single, he had to rely on himself for everything, and over time, he would naturally learn how to do it.

I'm really not used to this atmosphere. Last time there were too many people, and there were always random people coming and going asking when dinner would start. I didn't have time to do anything, so it didn't feel like anything special. This time it's just the two of us, it really feels like a newlywed wedding...

Stop! I can't keep thinking like this! Once I get into the mood for self-suggestion, it'll be a real problem. Emotions are hard to control, especially since I still have some feelings to begin with.

"What are you thinking about?" Shao Yuzhe asked me as he put the last dish on his plate.

"You did a great job! A modern good man. Just wash up, change into a suit, and you're ready to get married." I helped him put the dishes on the table.

"Married?" He paused for a moment, then laughed. "What marriage? I don't even have a girlfriend. Who's going to marry me?"

This sounds familiar; it's like I've said something similar before.

“Our fates are quite similar, and we are destined to be together. Why don’t I marry you? What do you think, Miss?” I jokingly continued, going along with his suggestion.

"Alright, if you don't mind, I'll come to propose marriage on a chosen day." He winked at me and said with a smile.

"Hey, wait a minute, that's not right. 'Proposing marriage' is something the man says. You said you're a young lady, so you can't say that. You're wrong. You're washing the dishes today." Honestly, the answer was so blunt. If we keep joking like this, we won't be able to create any romantic atmosphere at all. I had ulterior motives, and now my first attempt has failed.

"Of course I'll wash the dishes, but compared to the eight people you cooked last time, it's really easy for me." He continued, going along with what I was saying.

"Either I erupt in silence or I perish in silence. I've gotten used to it over the years, and it seems there's no chance for me to erupt anymore. So I'm destined to serve the people for the rest of my life." With a long sigh, I was forced into slavery.

"Actually, this is not bad. In your words, you can just wash up, change into a dress, and get married."

I was about to speak when I realized that if I continued, we would be going back to square one. So I pouted and said, feigning grievance, "Why do we keep talking about the same few things? No, no, let's change the subject."

Shao Yuzhe didn't say anything, but poured wine into the empty glass in front of me, and then into his own.

I then filled our bowls with rice.

They acted as naturally as an old married couple.

So quickly, we've gone from being newlyweds to an old married couple. Haha, I despise myself.

"The two I saw at your house last time, Luo Lin and Jiang Chen, are they a couple?" he suddenly asked.

"Yes, is there a problem?"

"No, I thought it was like that that day, but I didn't dare to ask." He still had that simple smile on his face.

"Do you discriminate against homosexuals?" I asked seriously. Rowling was a very important friend of mine, and if he dared to answer yes, I would drag him out and execute him.

"How could that be? It's just that everyone has a different lifestyle. I've always felt that it's unfair to define what's normal and abnormal based on the habits of the majority."

I nodded to him like a teacher praising a student, which was also our thought, so Rowling remains a very good friend of ours.

"It's because most people are so arrogant that they take it upon themselves to decide what's right and wrong, normal and abnormal in this world. That's why we, their friends, have seen and remembered all the hardships Luo Lin and Jiang Chen have gone through," I explained.

Jiang Chen is a free spirit. She is arrogant, domineering, and looks down on everyone, but she really can't bear to see Luo Lin get hurt. She once stood in the rain with a pained expression and asked me if she had harmed Luo Lin.

Although Luo Lin was cheerful, optimistic, straightforward, and a bit simple-minded, she still felt a lot of pressure at her previous company. She didn't want us to tell Jiang Chen, afraid that she would worry. I think I will never forget the usually energetic Luo Lin lying on my bed with a high fever, grabbing my clothes to stop me from going to Jiang Chen, and pitifully begging me.

I was very depressed during that time. It was like a scene from a romance novel was happening to me. In the end, I advised Luo Lin to quit his job and become a freelancer. I said that's not called escaping, it's called seeking peace and quiet.

As it turns out, my judgment was absolutely correct.

Otherwise, where would Luo Lin get his current chubby, neurotic, and radiant skin?

The tone when asking me to cook wasn't at all defiant.

"Dong, you are such a gentle person." Shao Yuzhe looked straight at me and smiled. I was most afraid of his warm, spring-like smile. It looked so good on his face that it made me blush and my heart race.

"I...I...Of course I'm gentle." Afraid she would notice my blushing, I downed the rest of my drink in one gulp.

He just smiled and poured me another cup.

Then we ate, drank, and chatted, and time flew by. Before we knew it, it was eleven o'clock.

The saying goes, "A little drinking is pleasant, but excessive drinking leads to disordered behavior."

It happened to be nighttime, and the man and woman were alone together.

so...

So Shao Yuzhe said to me that it was too late and I had to go to work the next day, and offered to take me home. I agreed.

Aren't you a little disappointed? Hahaha.

The black car sped along the highway like a wild beast. I opened the window and let the wind in.

"Do you remember when we used to ride our bikes home together in high school because we lived in the same direction?" he suddenly said.

"Of course I remember. Although we were required to live on campus, I would sometimes sneak back home on my bike after the teacher left." It was when I thought of this that I opened the window. The night breeze had a familiar scent that made me feel very comfortable.

"Back then, we talked about all sorts of things, and it seemed like we often took detours, so we always got back very late."

"But I discovered a lot of beautiful places and interesting shops. Considering all that I found, and even though my mom nagged me a bit, it was all worth it."

"Comic book stores, game software stores, anime DVD stores, anime merchandise stores," he said with a smile, listing what I called my "collections." "For a student about to take the college entrance exam, this is quite a waste of time."

"Hey, hey, hey, look, I didn't mention the exam when I bought it, and you didn't act like a student when you borrowed it from me," I retorted, unconvinced.

"arrive."

"You're cheating, changing the subject." I hadn't even realized what he was talking about.
