Lin Qing watched from a short distance as Cole shouted and yelled. He thought to himself that it was really lucky that this guy survived until the end of the movie.
"Let's get going! Go find my Blood Orchid. Once we get nearby, it'll be time for me to advance it."
Meanwhile, the curly-haired man who had received Bill's call was sailing his boat toward the meeting place with Bill and his group.
"La la la la la la!" The curly-haired uncle steered the ship with one hand, held a bottle of liquor in the other, drank his liquor, sang a song, and felt very happy.
Just one phone call and a simple trip with passengers earns five thousand gold coins. Money is so easy to make!
"Shit!"
Suddenly, the ship shook, and the curly-haired man stumbled, losing his grip on the bottle, which shattered on the deck.
"What is that thing?" The curly-haired uncle stopped the boat and leaned out to look at the water.
All I could see were a few small whirlpools swirling on the surface of the water.
Suddenly, the boat jolted again. The curly-haired uncle steadied himself and hurried to the stern to take a look. He saw a black and yellow python-like body swimming past the stern in the water.
"This is terrible!" The curly-haired uncle stared in disbelief, swearing he had never seen such a large python before.
He immediately crawled and knelt to the front of the control panel, and hurriedly tried to open the box containing the gun.
However, it was too late.
All that could be seen was the giant python climbing its entire body onto the stern of the boat. The python opened its blood-red mouth wide, and with a flick of its head, it bit the curly-haired uncle's legs.
The curly-haired uncle struggled desperately, gripping the control lever and the rudder with both hands, but how could one person's strength compare to that of a giant python!
The standoff lasted less than a second before the giant snake pulled him underwater.
The rudder was turned several times to the right by the curly-haired uncle's strength, and the control lever was also activated. Instantly, the ship roared and sped forward to the right.
"Boom!"
An explosion was heard from the distant riverbank, followed by flames and thick smoke shooting into the sky.
"Oh my god, what is that?"
Oh my god!
What is that?
"Hurry up!" Bill glanced at the thick smoke, ignored the questions from the others, and rushed to the scene of the accident.
Seeing this, the crowd had no choice but to follow and see what was going on.
Bill, carrying a watermelon knife, took the lead and arrived at the scene of the explosion.
"No, no way!" Cole stared in disbelief at the ship after the explosion.
"What happened?" Jordan jumped down from the mound.
“Livingston!” Tran still held a sliver of hope, thinking that the curly-haired uncle might still be alive.
Seeing that all hope of escape had vanished, Gale burst into tears and slumped to the ground in despair.
"Here's the reason: he fell off the ship while drinking!" Dr. Jack angrily smashed a broken bottle on the ground.
“Your friend! What are we going to do now?” Cole yelled at Bill, looking determined to get back at him.
"Search the wreckage and find any usable supplies." Bill shook his head; he had no other choice but to look for anything else useful.
Jordan found a can of gasoline, Sam found a flashlight, and Monkey Xiaogang found a light bulb.
Tran, however, found several fish carcasses left behind by the Lopa tribe, who were descendants of the headhunter tribe.
They were indigenous people who had lived here for thousands of years, and the group prepared to find nearby villages.
Lin Qing immediately followed behind them, knowing that they were almost at their destination.
Later, on the road, they encountered the body of the curly-haired uncle, who had been swallowed by the giant python but was now being spat out.
This made Bill realize that although pythons have territories and there wouldn't be two pythons in one territory, it was currently the pythons' mating season, so there was more than one python.
As soon as Bill and his group entered the Lopa tribe's village, they saw the corpse of a giant golden python lying on the ground, its belly cut open, and inside was a human corpse.
“You said that was the biggest python you’d ever seen!” Sam whispered, looking at the python’s carcass next to Bill.
"It was just now!"
But this one
“Bigger!” Bill answered quietly. Although this one was bigger, the python could still be killed.
“The male snakes must have all come looking for the female snakes,” Tran said to the crowd with a serious expression.
"This is unbelievable!" Cole exclaimed in disbelief.
“They left by boat.” Tran came to the water’s edge and looked out at the lake.
"It's good that they left, but it's not good for us." Bill crossed his arms, somewhat regretful that he hadn't been able to find any Indigenous people to help him.
"Which one is the Man River?" Dr. Jack didn't care at all; all he cared about was finding the Blood Orchid.
“The one on the right, and the one on the left is the Toku River, that’s the fastest route,” Tran replied.
"How long will it take?" Gail asked.
"I'll be able to take a bath in a five-star hotel in just two days!" Bill glanced at the bamboo in the water.
“We don’t even have a boat,” Cole said with a skeptical look.
"We'll build one ourselves." After saying that, he turned and left without paying any attention to the others.
Chapter Five: Rescue
As night fell, the dark forest was filled with the chirping of insects.
Bill and his group used gasoline to light torches and prepared to tidy up the thatched hut and gather some wood to make a bamboo raft.
However, while cleaning up, Dr. Jack discovered a spot where blood orchids were carved.
Dr. Jack no longer wanted to go back and wanted to continue searching for the Blood Orchid.
Jack excitedly called everyone over and told them about his discovery, preparing to have his group continue searching for the Blood Orchid.
"The Blood Orchid was discovered here, on the River Man, near the next bend, which we will pass by," Dr. Jack said excitedly.
It was as if the blood orchid was already in their grasp.
“No, we won’t. We’re going to take the Toku River. If we continue along the Man River, it will take a week to reach the next village. I don’t want to wait that long to take a bath,” Gail said firmly.
Dr. Jack ignored Gail and glanced at Jordan and Sam:
"The decision isn't yours." With that, she folded the map up.
"Jack, you can come back another day," Jordan said to Jack, not wanting to leave for Man River.
"Come back? Come back in seven years? What if the flowers are gone?"
"What if someone decides to cultivate the entire basin? As a result, rice paddies replace the Fountain of Youth."
"This is our only chance, you know that," Dr. Jack shouted at the crowd.
Jack looked at Jordan, staring intently at him: "We've come this far, are you really going to give up?"
“Listen to me, you know I support you, we’ve faced countless difficulties together, but I’m not going into that jungle,” Jordan said, sitting down on the ground and looking up.
He is still very unsettled.
"That's really direct!" Kerr agreed with Jordan's words.
"Thank you!" Gail crossed her arms and agreed with what they said.
Jack listened to what they were saying and glanced at each of them.
If looks could kill, Dr. Jack would have wiped out everyone present.
“This is my adventure; we’re going to pick orchids,” Jack said, enunciating each word clearly.
“No, we’re not going,” Sam retorted without caring that she was Dr. Jack’s assistant.
Everyone refused Dr. Jack's offer, and the raft was ready. They were just waiting to gather some more supplies before setting off to escape overnight.
If Lin Qing remembers correctly, tonight the big black guy Jordan will be bitten by Dr. Jack with a poisonous spider that he caught in the jungle during the day.
Then he was paralyzed, unable to move, and could only watch helplessly as the giant python swallowed him whole.
Dr. Jack is so ruthless that he doesn't even spare his own friends for his own future. Is the giant python scary?
It's terrifying, but sometimes the human heart is even more terrifying.
When Lin Qing watched the movie, he felt that the death of the big black guy Jordan was really frustrating.
If I had the ability to save someone, I certainly wouldn't ignore it. As the saying goes, saving a life is better than building a seven-story pagoda.
A loud "boom!"
Lightning flashed and thunder roared in the sky, and soon a heavy rain began to fall.
Lin Qing saw that it was raining and knew that Dr. Jack was about to make his move.
He knew that the doctor was harming Jordan while it was raining, so he swam toward the hut where Jordan was.
"Hiss~ Hiss!"
A two-meter-long snake slowly approached the thatched hut. Sure enough, as soon as Lin Qing arrived, he saw Jordan holding a satellite phone, ready to call for help.
Don't ask why Lin Qing can understand English; to him, it's just Chinese.
He also asked the system, and the system said that this was its own ability; no matter what language it was, as long as it reached Lin Qing's ears, it would be Chinese that he could understand.
Fortunately, the system has this ability; otherwise, if I were to transmigrate to a world where no one speaks Chinese, I would be as deaf as a deaf person.
Lin Qing even tried to see if he could understand animal language, but to no avail; the system said that only intelligent beings could understand it.
"Think carefully. You're about to become a billionaire. Do you really want to give it all up?" Jack tempted Jordan with money.
"I don't care about money, I just want to live." Jordan ignored what Jack said.
Jack knew it was impossible when he saw Jordan's expression.
Looking at Jordan's physique and then at his own, he wondered, could someone who was just doing research really take down a big black man?
