Kapitel 27

"Do you like painting?" Zhu Yao asked as she steered the small boat forward.

"I like it." Yu Nan said with a hint of disappointment, "I used to really enjoy going to galleries, art exhibitions, museums and the like."

"And now?"

"Now, no one will go with me."

Yu Nan lowered her head, looking dejected, as if recalling something unpleasant.

"If you want to go in the future, you can ask me to come with you." Zhu Yao wisely didn't ask any further questions. "Unemployed people have a lot of free time."

Hearing Zhu Yao's words of comfort, Yu Nan seemed less depressed.

"You'd better be careful about the world depicted in the painting."

Yu Nan had a mischievous smile on her lips.

Suddenly, a crocodile leaped out of the water and attacked the little boy.

Zhu Yao reacted quickly and dodged the attack.

More and more crocodiles appeared on the lake, all eyeing the little boy menacingly.

"Falling down will take you to a completely different world!"

Zhu Yao simply put the controller down, "I'm a little curious about what would happen if I were pulled down by the crocodile."

Yu Nan stared at Zhu Yao in astonishment. Why was she starting to give up?

Yu Nan said regretfully, "I...haven't done it yet!"

Zhu Yao chuckled, picked up the controller, and began to dodge the crocodile's attacks. She was almost pulled down several times, but managed to get through unscathed each time.

Immediately afterwards, another colored object appeared on the screen, besides the red sun.

It is a string of golden ears of wheat.

"Whether to enter the rice paddy world."

"Is this a happy ending?" Zhu Yao decided to ask the game planner next to her.

“Yes,” Yu Nan nodded, “This is one of my favorite endings, so go ahead without worry.”

The screen emitted a white light, and the little boy arrived at a field of wheat. In the middle of the wheat field was a red shrine, and a red fox was rolling around in the rice paddy.

"This is... my friend!"

This lonely journey through the world has finally found companions for the little boy.

Zhu Yao controlled the little boy to walk towards the red fox. When the red fox saw someone coming, it darted into the shrine and disappeared.

Zhu Yao wanted to enter the shrine, but couldn't find the entrance.

"that…"

Yu Nan suddenly reached for the controller, "The rest of the content isn't finished yet..."

Zhu Yao suddenly realized.

It seems that yesterday, before playing "Send Us to the Moon", Yu Nan was in the Rice Field World.

"By the way...doesn't this little boy's clothes move?" Zhu Yao asked, voicing her question from yesterday.

Yu Nan took a deep breath.

"You'll know how once you make it."

That's true... this game isn't finished yet.

“There are still relatively few worlds available right now,” Yu Nan added. “I plan to make it like Minecraft, where players can create their own worlds and invite others to play.”

"Of course, we'll also be doing more in the basic world," Yu Nan said wistfully, "It's a long and arduous road ahead..."

"Take your time. You've done a great job by yourself."

"Yes," Yu Nan nodded seriously, "I feel amazing!"

Wow, this person is actually praising himself!

“Speaking of which…” Zhu Yao suddenly had a thought, “If the game we played yesterday was like a movie, could there be a game like a novel?”

I need to find some inspiration; I'm about to hit writer's block on my novel.

“Yes,” Yu Nan said, starting to search on her phone. “I’ll recommend a few for you to try.”

Yu Nan didn't want to watch Zhu Yao play a text-based adventure game; it had no gameplay element whatsoever and was simply a novel-like narrative.

Zhu Yao looked at the game descriptions recommended by Yu Nan with great interest, and then selected a few that interested her.

One of the games, which tells the story of Jill working as a bartender in a cyberpunk world, piqued Zhu Yao's interest.

Most importantly, it's said that there are lesbian scenes in it, and the female lead has an ex-girlfriend.

It's decided, this is it!

"This game..." Yu Nan was a little surprised to see Zhu Yao's choice. "I really liked it back then, it's worth playing."

Zhu Yao could see that there were only two unfinished achievements.

"Go ahead and play. It would be even better if you could help me complete the achievements."

Yu Nan got up and went upstairs, leaving Zhu Yao downstairs alone.

Upon arriving at the studio, Yu Nan discovered a message on her work account from "Wolf Knife" of Liji Studio.

Wolf Knife is a modeler and game streamer at Liji Studio. She and Knife were close before she left her brother's studio.

[Wolf Knife]: Is Yu Miao still busy lately?

[Wolf Knife]: I'll keep it short.

[Wolf Knife]: It seems like you've been written into a novel.

Yu Nan: ? ? ?

Chapter 25: So Many Lesbians!

[Yu Miao]: What novel?

[Wolf Knife]: Hehehe, I won't tell you!

[Yu Miao]: ? ? ?

[Yu Miao]: Then why did you look for me?

[Wolf Knife]: I'll tell you when I'm in a good mood, dear sister.

[Yu Miao]: Tell me first, what novel?

【Wolf Knife】: Your favorite supernatural novel.

[Yu Miao]: ? ?

【Wolf Knife】: It's a novel with ghosts, the kind that's really scary.

[Yu Miao]: ...

Yu Nan closed her laptop, completely bewildered.

How could I possibly have anything to do with supernatural novels!

Yu Nan went downstairs to her studio and decided to continue working.

As soon as she turned on her computer, she remembered what Lang Dao'er had said. Lost in thought, she didn't even notice that she had clicked the wrong software.

Finally, Yu Nan returned to her bedroom as if giving in, and began to frantically plead with Lang Dao'er in the chat box.

[Yu Miao]: Please, sister!

[Wolf Knife]: Read

[Yu Miao]: Dear sister, do you want to play Miyazaki's Ring?

[Wolf Knife]: ! The one that was pre-ordered?

[Yu Miao]: Yes, dear sister, remember to check your email. I've already bought it for you.

[Wolf Knife]: Yu Bao, mwah! That author is called Yao Yao Ling, she's serializing on Donggua Literature Network, just read her currently serializing flop novel!

Yu Nan opened her phone and searched for 110.

Surprisingly, she's an author who writes supernatural yuri novels, and her most notable characteristic is that she's very unpopular.

Yao Yao Ling's latest novel has a very long title: "The Director I'm Protecting Is Actually a Feng Shui Master."

The titles of online novels these days are so weird, some have a whopping 13 characters long!!

Yu Nan clicked on the first chapter.

The protagonist, Lin Luo, is a young Taoist priest who works an office job during the day and deals with spirits and ghosts at night. A fierce ghost lives in her newly rented apartment and chases her all the way to her workplace.

That day, the director happened to be working overtime, and there were only the two of them in the company. A fierce ghost cursed them both.

When Yu Nan saw the ghost in the rented room, she put her phone down.

The book says: The emptier the house, the easier it is for ghosts to move in.

Yu Nan silently thought about her own big villa.

The book says: the more people in a house, the more lively it is; conversely, the less people in a house, the easier it is to attract ghosts.

Yu Nan shivered. Before, she lived alone, but now that Zhu Yao was there, there were only two of them.

The book says: Daytime is the time for human activity, and nighttime is the time for ghosts and spirits. Since ancient times, humans and ghosts have not interfered with each other, until the invention of the electric light allowed humans to encroach on the time of ghosts at night, so the ghosts decided to take revenge on those who stay up late.

As a night owl with her days and nights reversed, Yu Nan almost never sleeps at night...

The book also says: Don't look at anything related to ghosts or spirits at midnight, or ghosts will be watching you!

Yu Nan was really scared, so she simply stopped watching, took the elevator back to the basement, and snuggled up next to Zhu Yao.

Zhu Yao was mixing drinks and chatting with customers in the game when she gave Yu Nan a strange look.
