Kapitel 100

As she thought this, her small hands gripped Chu Yao's collar tightly, refusing to let go. When he sat down on the ground with the push, she was pulled into his arms.

"Chu Yao, thank you for coming." Wu Shuang choked up, burying her face in Chu Yao's arms and rubbing against him, refusing to look up.

Before long, her soft sobs turned into loud wailing.

Wushuang felt ashamed, but after completely relaxing from the tension of being in a desperate situation and almost losing her life, she couldn't control her emotions and could only bury her face deeper into Chu Yao's arms.

"Alright, alright, it's okay, don't cry anymore." Chu Yao patted her thin back and gently comforted her.

"You just said that after you win, you'll let me cry in your arms," Wu Shuang said sweetly. Her soft voice was like a gentle brush, instantly melting Chu Yao's heart.

"Alright, alright, then cry, cry slowly," Chu Yao said. "But as long as you cry, don't wipe your snot and tears on me. This outfit is brand new, and it's the first time I'm wearing it today. It would be such a waste to ruin it."

"Is your future queen more important, or a tattered dress?" Wushuang protested.

“Ha,” Chu Yao laughed, “My queen underestimates herself too much, actually arguing over a tattered dress and being so petty.”

Wushuang's crying stopped abruptly, and she suddenly raised her face to glare at him angrily: "You jerk! I hate you! I'm not jealous at all. Go marry your tattered clothes and become your queen. I'm magnanimous and will let you two be together!"

"Hmm?" Chu Yao shook his head and said, "I don't believe it. Just now, the person who was crying loudly because he almost got snatched away from marrying me is now saying that he's willing to let me marry someone else. That's too insincere."

"I'm not crying because I can't marry you!" Wushuang quickly retorted, not wanting to step into a trap.

"Did I say it was you? Why are you automatically taking it personally?" Chu Yao said smugly.

Even though she had lived two lives, Wushuang was still just a sheltered young woman. Of course, she couldn't compare to Chu Yao's cunning mind. Unable to win an argument, she simply acted spoiled and said, "I'm cold. I want to go back to sleep."

Suddenly, Chu Yao reached into her arms and touched her.

Wu Shuang's eyes widened, both ashamed and angry: "What are you doing? Get out! Get out!"

Chu Yao readily complied and quickly withdrew his hand, but when he did, he had a handkerchief in his hand.

"Wipe away the smudges on our Princess's face." He teased as he carefully wiped away the sweat from Wushuang's forehead and the tears from her cheeks, finally stopping under her nose and saying, "Blow your nose."

Blowing her nose in front of her future husband was already disrespectful enough, let alone blowing it directly into his hand. But Wushuang had lost face in front of Chu Yao so much today that she was numb to it and actually obeyed Chu Yao's orders without question.

"Good girl." Chu Yao patted her little head, casually tossed aside the dirty handkerchief, then picked up the fallen hair ornament and hairpin from among the withered leaves, gently tied Wu Shuang's loose long hair back up, and finally picked her up horizontally, saying softly, "We're going home."

Wu Shuang smiled gently, and automatically put her arms around Chu Yao's shoulders.

Then……

A person emerged from behind a large tree not far away.

By the flickering light of the lanterns, Wushuang could tell that the person was Lu An.

When did he arrive?

Was he there when Chu Yao was dealing with Gesang?

Was he there when she snuggled in Chu Yao's arms, acting spoiled and unreasonable?

Anyway, he can see everything now that she's being held like this!

Wushuang let out a "woof" and buried her head on Chu Yao's shoulder. It turns out there's no limit to how embarrassing it can get!

"Don't be shy." Chu Yao chuckled and bounced her around. "Lu An is one of us."

It's only bad when you know someone well.

If you meet a stranger by chance and never see them again, you're not afraid of anything. But if you meet someone you know often, you'll be reminded of that embarrassing moment, and you'll never forget that dark history for the rest of your life.

Wushuang shook her little head listlessly, resolutely expressing her unwillingness to see anyone no matter what.

Chu Yao let her be and then instructed Lu An, "I'll leave the rest to you."

Lu An nodded, decisively tossed the unconscious Gesang onto the horse's back, and led the horse away.

The sound of horses' hooves gradually faded into the distance, and Wushuang remained perched on Chu Yao's shoulder, refusing to move.

Chu Yao nudged her again: "He's gone, let's go too."

Wushuang suddenly remembered something, looked up and said, "Yunmo..."

Yunmo just fell down; I don't know if he's injured.

Chu Yao understood immediately. He put Wushuang down and let her stand against the big tree. Then he walked over to Yunmo, who was lying face down on the ground, and carefully examined her.

"It's nothing," he said. "My bones are fine, just a scraped skin, nothing serious."

After saying that, he took out a piece of candy and fed it to Yunmo, then patted it on the body, and Yunmo obediently stood up.

Wu Shuang felt relieved and obediently opened her arms, waiting for Chu Yao to come and hug her.

Chu Yao was very satisfied with this reaction, so satisfied that he lowered his head and kissed her little mouth.

Wushuang naturally tried to dodge, but unfortunately, her movements were slow and her reactions were too sluggish, so she was kissed squarely on the spot.

She felt as if her mind had exploded, and she was in a daze, unable to feel anything. When she came to her senses, she found herself sitting sideways on Chu Yao's horse, wrapped tightly in his arms by that black cloak.

Wushuang shifted awkwardly, and a warning immediately came from above: "Don't move around, or you'll fall."

She didn't dare to meet Chu Yao's gaze at all, her face lowered, her eyes fixed on the reins he was holding onto Yun Mo, which he had extended from in front of the saddle.

However, Chu Yao did not let her off the hook. He chuckled and lowered his head to kiss her earlobe.

Wushuang was so tense that she felt like a fully drawn bowstring, as if she was about to snap.
