Kapitel 65

"The exam is tomorrow, can you guys be a little more serious? Some of you are still playing on your phones!" Yan Sheng said, glancing at Su Jinning again as he finished speaking.

There's no need to think about who this is meant for.

"Dissing me again." Su Jinning slammed her phone down and slumped onto the table in frustration.

Yan Sheng glared at him, ignoring him, and continued his motivational speech, "Do you know what you're about to face? This semester is the end of your senior year! Am I just playing around with you guys?"

Su Jinning fell into a deep sleep amidst Yan Sheng's bird chatter.

It's not surprising, really; the atmosphere before every exam is always very tense. But he's different. What makes others nervous about exams is just a trivial, unrelated problem to him.

It's something you sit there, randomly select a few options, and then hastily finish.

As expected, all the teachers, just like Yan Sheng, kept handing out test papers for the students to do throughout the day.

A stack of test papers filled Shen Moyu's desk, and scrap paper covered with writing was scattered all over the floor, but he was too lazy to pick it up.

Shen Moyu's hand was sore from writing, so he put down his pen, stretched, and glanced at the progress of his classmates. Most of them were still working on the first few pages of the test, while he was almost finished.

It's really boring.

"Smack!"

The white crumpled paper landed on Shen Moyu's hand again, breaking his boredom.

Every time a crumpled piece of paper landed precisely in my hand, I knew without even thinking who had sent it.

Shen Moyu unfolded the crumpled paper.

The handwriting above is still that familiar, elegant style: Shall we walk home together after school? I'm afraid it will rain, so I didn't bring an umbrella.

Su Jinning's last sentence was indeed the truth, but her real purpose was still the first sentence.

He stared at the line of words written by Su Jinning and slightly parted his lips.

Shen Moyu turned around and happened to see Su Jinning resting his chin on his hand, looking at him. Perhaps he had just woken up, his messy bangs were stuck to his forehead, and he was pouting as if begging, looking a bit like a big dog asking to be taken for a walk.

Shen Moyu laughed at his silly look. She wrote back on the note: Why don't you look for Chen Hang and the others?

As the name suggests, your friends are all here, so why are you looking for me?

The crumpled paper landed on Shen Moyu's hand again: Why are you looking for them? Just tell me if we can go together.

It seemed like he was asking for opinions, but the last punctuation mark was a period. Shen Moyu stared blankly at his previous sentence.

'Why do you need to see them?'

Am I different from them?

Shen Moyu shook her head, which was filled with random thoughts, and instead of replying to him, she opened her phone and sent a message to Su Jinning's chat box.

Not a Fish: [Why pass notes if you have a cell phone? Are you asleep?]

Su Jinning looked at the message from Shen Moyu, then suddenly realized and slapped her forehead, typing, "I really forgot."

Then he added a helpless emoji.

Shen Moyu glanced at Su Jinning, who was secretly chatting with him under the table, and replied with a sly smile.

Not a Fish: [Your head wouldn't even be enough to buy a bowl of fish balls, would it?]

After reading the message, Su Jinning looked up and glared at Shen Moyu with a dark expression, then continued typing with Shen Moyu on WeChat.

That's how the class went.

As soon as the school bell rang, the classroom erupted in a chaotic cacophony of moving desks and chairs and shouting.

Shen Moyu put the last math book in, and subconsciously looked back at Su Jinning, who was still sleeping without moving. She was a little puzzled. Su Jinning, who was usually the first to rush out when the school bell rang, was now still sitting in her seat sleeping.

Didn't you hear the ringtone? That shouldn't be the case.

Shen Moyu slung her backpack over her shoulder and prepared to call him. Just as she was about to reach out, she saw Gu Junxiao already sitting down next to Su Jinning with a big smile on his face.

He froze on the spot, slowly retracting his outstretched hand.

Yeah, they usually go home together, why would he go and join in the fun?

Shen Moyu glanced at the two chatting happily, then gripped her backpack strap tightly, lowered her head, and prepared to leave the classroom.

"Hey top student, the senior basketball team has a friendly match today, wanna come watch with me?"

Shen Moyu turned around upon hearing the sound. Su Jinning was standing there with a smile, but Gu Junxiao was no longer beside him.

If there's a match today, then... Gu Junxiao probably won't be with him anymore.

Shen Moyu pondered for a moment, then breathed a sigh of relief.

But the exam is tomorrow, and he's been very busy lately, so he hasn't had time to review what he's learned. He wants to go back and study.

but……

He looked up at Su Jinning's expectant eyes.

But didn't he call for me? Then I'll go.

Shen Moyu's stern face finally broke into a smile as he walked to Su Jinning's side: "Just the two of us?"

"Wait, I left my phone behind." Gu Junxiao's voice rang out from the side.

Shen Moyu opened his eyes wide and turned to look at Gu Junxiao, whom he thought had already left. His heart suddenly trembled.

He slowly looked at Su Jinning, as if waiting for him to explain.

"Oh no, and Lao Gu too, let's all three of us together." Su Jinning smiled, playing with a basketball in her hands.

Shen Moyu gripped the backpack strap tightly once more, the wrinkles clearly visible.

Why is Gu Junxiao always faster than me?

Why must there be three people?

He lowered his head, his eyes darting away unnaturally.

The atmosphere suddenly became quiet. Su Jinning turned around and looked at Gu Junxiao, who was also lowering his head and not saying a word. She frowned in confusion and asked, "What's wrong?"

Gu Junxiao didn't dare to look up at Shen Moyu. She took out her phone, randomly opened an app, and said in a slightly guilty tone, "Ah, well, I just won't..."

"I think I'll pass." Shen Moyu's face turned cold again. He finished speaking before Gu Junxiao could.

The two of them turned to look at Shen Moyu, their eyes filled with confusion.

Before Su Jinning could even ask a question, Shen Moyu simply glanced at the two of them and turned to leave.

"Hey! Shen Moyu!" Su Jinning took two steps forward, trying to stop him, and the basketball slipped from his hands.
