Geistergeschichten - Kapitel 9

Kapitel 9

Upon hearing that eerie breathing sound, Zhang Wen felt a chill run through his body, and an unprecedented sense of terror surged into his heart. A terrible intuition told him not to turn around; he even instinctively felt that if he turned around, he would die! In an instant, Zhang Wen felt as if the muscles in his neck were tense, and he couldn't move at all. His whole body seemed to be frozen, and he stood there blankly with the towel on his face. He didn't even have the courage to look outside at the large mirror above the sink.

His whole body froze, overwhelmed by fear, and he remained motionless. It had only been a few seconds, but it felt like hours had passed!

Then, suddenly, out of some inexplicable impulse, he turned around abruptly and saw that An Li had appeared behind him at some point. She was leaning against the door with a blank expression, staring straight at Zhang Wen. Zhang Wen felt that the air around him had become unusually cold.

Only then did Hu Zhangwen finally breathe a long sigh of relief, a huge weight lifted from his heart, and his tense nerves finally relaxed. "Anli, you almost scared me to death!"

"Is that so?" An Li stared at him coldly, her face deathly pale, reflecting a fleeting icy light under the lamplight, making Zhang Wen inexplicably dizzy!

At the same time, Zhang Wen also felt that An Li's voice was eerie and seemed to echo!

"Why couldn't I see you just now, Anli?" Zhang Wen turned back to wash his face.

"I want to play hide-and-seek with you! I want to give you a surprise!" At this moment, An Li's cold, pale, and gleaming face revealed a strange, seductive smile. She raised her warm, snow-white arms and reached out to Zhang Wen, embracing him tightly. In that instant, Zhang Wen felt that An Li's eyes seemed to have a strange, dazzling quality! Before he could think further, An Li's seductive eyes flashed with captivating charm. Zhang Wen, involuntarily, became confused, as if bewitched, and kissed An Li as they walked towards the bedroom... Under a dark sky filled with the impending storm, the straw-hatted man from the flower shop was on the mountain road halfway up the mountain opposite Zhang Wen's villa area. He was looking down at the upscale villa area. When he saw the roof of Zhang Wen's house, his expression immediately changed drastically!

It was too late to rush down now. The man in the straw hat quickly jumped to a grassy, protruding hillside by the roadside. He had to act immediately! Otherwise, it would be too late!

Zhang Wen suddenly woke up at some point, still savoring the pleasure of his orgasm. The lovemaking he had just had with An Li was so intoxicating; he had never experienced such joyful, excited, and intoxicating lovemaking before!

"Anli, how come you're so amazing today!" Zhang Wen felt lazy and comfortable all over. He turned over naked on the bed, wanting to hug Anli again. He hugged Anli's body on the bed, "Ouch!" Instantly, he felt a burning sensation on his arms, as if something like boiling oil was burning him!

He let out a horrifying scream and sat bolt upright. When he looked closely, he couldn't believe his eyes. The sleeping Anli beside him had turned into a huge swarm of terrifying white maggots, which were buzzing like bees and wriggling around!

---Magpie Bridge Fairy

Reply [34]: Oh my god, so this is the terrible thing that Zhang Wen touched with his hands! Zhang Wen found that his arms were covered with the juice of white maggots, which was extremely disgusting. It was obviously the juice of these maggots that burned him!

"No!" Zhang Wen screamed in terror, leaping naked from the bed and rushing out of the bedroom. At the same time, the white maggots on the bed behind him miraculously burst into flames, instantly turning into a yellow bed of fire—a truly horrifying sight!

"No!" Zhang Wen screamed as he rushed into the bathroom, quickly turning on the faucet. Large sprays of water gushed out. Zhang Wen put his hands in the water, trying to wash away the insect residue, but suddenly a strong smell of blood hit his nostrils. Zhang Wen quickly looked down and was so frightened that he screamed again. My God, what was that water spraying out of the faucet and splashing onto his hands? It was large clumps of bright red human blood!

Terrified, Zhang Wen rushed naked into the living room. At the same time, a chilling woman's laughter echoed throughout the living room. All the lights, chandeliers, televisions, and appliances automatically turned on, and the fans began to whir wildly. Various lights rapidly increased to their brightest levels amidst a terrifying whistling sound, emitting a hissing sound of extremely high voltage. Then, with a series of "bangs," the blindingly bright lights and chandeliers, unable to withstand the voltage, exploded one after another, instantly shattering into millions of fragments that scattered like a torrential downpour! Zhang Wen screamed and fell to the ground.

With a "whoosh," a huge, long floor-length curtain automatically flew off the glass wall and rolled straight toward the naked Zhang Wen!

The curtain, emitting a terrifying laugh, conjured a human shape in mid-air and flew towards Zhang Wen's neck, intending to hang him!

Zhang Wen screamed and tumbled into the kitchen next door. A gargoyle wrapped around Zhang Wen's heel fluttered below the curtain. Its human-shaped head snarled and pounced down, opening its cloth mouth to bite Zhang Wen's foot.

"An Zhangwen let out a horrifying scream as blood splattered out from the bite wound like rain. My God, it's as if the curtain has become a living thing!"

Almost simultaneously, Zhang Wen, amidst screams and pain, reached forward and picked up a gleaming kitchen knife from the stove.

"Die, you demon!" Zhang Wen roared, his cleaver flashing coldly as he swiftly sliced the humanoid curtain in two. "Ouch!" The curtain let out a strange scream, and the two halves, as if lifeless, fell to the ground, emitting white smoke, turning back into two large pieces of curtain fabric riddled with small holes, still emitting lingering smoke—utterly eerie!

Zhang Wen screamed and flung away the tattered curtain that was still wrapped around his feet. He quickly grabbed a few clothes from the bathroom and dressed in a disheveled manner. At the same time, he heard a series of eerie, synchronized "hahaha" laughter and "thump-thump-thump" footsteps coming from the direction of the stairs on the second floor, like a band of ghosts coming downstairs. It was extremely terrifying!

Zhang Wen rushed into the living room and looked towards the stairs. Good heavens, he could hardly believe his eyes! The terrifying laughter and footsteps were coming from a large group of incredible ceramic figures that seemed to have come to life! It was the large collection of ceramic art and plaster sculptures that he and An Li had kept on the second floor!

Suddenly, dozens of ceramic objects—including ceramic bottles, teapots, ceramic tigers, the God of Wealth, immortals, children's figurines, and ceramic eagles—seemed to come alive. They emitted eerie, terrifying laughter, their eyes flashing red light, and they descended the stairs with synchronized, thumping footsteps, all staring menacingly at Zhang Wen. Accompanied by plumes of eerie white smoke billowing from beneath their feet, they walked towards Zhang Wen.

Bathed in white smoke, they appeared extremely grotesque and terrifying! One of the plaster man heads even emitted bursts of crying sounds, its eyes flashing red. At the same time, all the windows and doors in the entire living room seemed to go mad, opening and closing automatically with a series of eerie "hahaha" laughs, as if countless hands inside the villa were opening and closing them! It was utterly terrifying!

At the same time, with a "splashing" sound, large clumps of bloody, terrifyingly bright red human blood suddenly erupted from the white wall on the north side like a flood, cascading down and instantly reaching the ground. With a horrifying sound, it splashed onto the sofa and coffee table, staining everything in its path red in an instant, a truly terrifying sight.

At the same time, a deafening thunderclap and a terrifying bolt of lightning, so bright it was blinding, ripped through the sky and illuminated the horrifying scene inside the room through the floor-to-ceiling glass wall! Simultaneously, a torrential downpour began outside, like a flash flood, engulfing Zhang Wen's villa in a massive downpour!

With a "whoosh," a ceramic eagle that had been descending the stairs suddenly took flight from the ground, its eyes flashing red. Incredibly, it soared through the air and viciously swooped down on Zhang Wen. Good heavens, it's going to attack Zhang Wen!

"No!" Zhang Wen screamed and swung his knife at the ceramic eagle. With a loud "bang," the ceramic eagle was struck by the knife and exploded instantly. Zhang Wen screamed again as the invisible force of the explosion sent him flying straight backward into the air, landing several meters away on the ground. The knife was knocked out of his hand by the shockwave.

At the same time, the ceramic army composed of dozens of ceramic and plaster statues, which sang a sinister and terrifying song, also descended to the ground. Leading the charge was a ceramic vase that was a meter tall. It swayed and charged menacingly toward Zhang Wen, which was extremely terrifying!

The large projector TV in the living room also turned on automatically, revealing a terrifying blood-red light. With a whoosh, several huge, twisted red streaks shot out from the blood-red TV screen and rushed towards Zhang Wen.

"No!" Zhang Wen screamed, trying to stand up, but was struck by the blood-red light threads. With a "whoosh," the light threads, like giant tree root octopus tentacles, wrapped around Zhang Wen and slammed him against the wall. At the same time, the red light of the light threads dimmed, and the thread that had pinned Zhang Wen to the wall transformed into a giant tree root tentacle covered with suction cups, looking like a giant hand. A ball of white light then flew out from the root, transforming into tentacles that firmly bound Zhang Wen's hands. Zhang Wen was stuck to the wall, his powerless legs struggling half a meter off the ground.

At the same time, terrifying "hoarse breathing" sounds emanated from the blood-red television, sounding like a gigantic, living monster. Zhang Wen was terrified.

---Magpie Bridge Fairy

Reply [35]: At the same time, the terrifying resurrected ceramic army made a series of orderly footsteps as they walked toward Zhang Wen, who was attached to the wall by the red light tree roots! The two handles of the ceramic vase leading the way transformed into two terrifying ceramic ghost hands inexplicably. The sharp kitchen knife, as if receiving its command, spun up from the ground and flew into its hands automatically.

"Hahaha," they walked menacingly and frantically towards Zhang Wen. A terrifying flash of white light streaked across the stormy sky, instantly illuminating the entire living room in bright white. The ceramic vase that rushed to the front raised its kitchen knife high, ready to slash at Zhang Wen.

"No!" Zhang Wen screamed in despair as he was being sucked in, thinking he was going to die this time.

Just at this critical moment, suddenly, a faint, rhythmic, eerie sound of copper bells, "ring-ring-ring-ring," instantly rang out from all directions of the living room, extremely piercing! Before Zhang Wen could understand what was happening, with a deafening boom, the large television emitting red light and a booming sound, as if instantly attacked by the invisible bell sound, automatically exploded into a huge ball of fire, shattering into millions of fragments that scattered like a waterfall in all directions, illuminating the surroundings!

At the same time, with a "whoosh," the giant tree root hand that extended from the television seemed to lose its life in an instant, falling straight to the ground with a "whoosh," and after the smoke cleared, the giant tree root hand turned into a pool of foamy green liquid!

At the same time, Zhang Wen slid off the wall and onto the ground. Ignoring the red and green sticky liquid still clinging to his bra, he lunged at the nearest window like a madman.

The army of ceramic plaster statues in front of him also stopped automatically, motionless. The ceramic vase with the cleaver raised high in front of Zhang Wen also froze. They seemed to lose their lives instantly at the sound of the bell, motionless, and then, one after another, they exploded automatically with "bang," "bang," "bang," and "bang." The fragments flew everywhere like raindrops. In an instant, the group of ceramic vases, ceramic children, generals, gods, tigers, and so on, which had turned into demons by flashing red light, were all blown into millions of fragments in the explosion, flying all over the living room like a rain of fragments, which was extremely terrifying!

At the same time, with a "bang," Zhang Wen also flew through the glass window, shattering it along with the rain of shards of glass, which tumbled into the torrential rain outside. In an instant, the oncoming downpour soaked him completely. As if possessed, he ran out of the yard and headed straight for the highway outside the villa area... When he reached the highway, thunder rumbled and lightning flashed continuously. The rain roared down like a waterfall from the sky, and the deafening roar of the rain and thunder completely drowned out Zhang Wen's screams.

He screamed and waved to the passing vehicles in the torrential rain. The dense, slanting downpour made it impossible for him to open his eyes, and his vision was blurred. The only response to his waving was the spray of water from passing cars that splashed high into the air!

"You all die!" Zhang Wen roared, his mind in disarray and his body covered in mud from the splashing water and mud. Only one thought flashed through his mind: he had to fly away from here!

With a "whoosh," a police car with its bright lights flashing came to a sudden stop in front of Zhang Wen, splashing high amounts of water in the rain.

With a loud bang, the car door opened, and Zhang Wen could hardly believe his eyes. Inside, driving, was Zhu Mingshi. Looking at Zhang Wen, who was soaked to the bone, Zhu Mingshi's face showed unprecedented terror. "Brother Wen, what... what happened?"

"Go! Go..." Zhang Wen screamed, ignoring his soaking wet clothes, as he leaped into the back seat of the car, shouting hysterically. He could only repeat the words "Go!" in his excitement!

Startled, Zhu Mingshi quickly closed the car door and drove away, the car speeding towards the rain and mist like an arrow.

"Brother Wen, I came here specifically to see you."

"Hurry up...hurry up..."

"Brother Wen, two hours ago someone found a seriously injured woman on the north beach. She might be your wife, so I drove here to find you. Let's go to the hospital now!" Zhu Mingshi looked at Zhang Wen in the rearview mirror with a look of surprise.

"What?" Upon hearing this news, Zhang Wen, sitting in the back, jumped up and bumped his head on the roof of the car. His face showed unprecedented fear, a chilling sense of terror washing over him. Good heavens, who was An Li, whom he had just encountered at home? Was she a demon in disguise? Did demons really exist? The thought sent a chill down his spine. He couldn't help but recall the terrifying scene from earlier. He froze, his eyes wide with terror, completely absorbed in a sea of fear and shock. He sat stiffly in the car, utterly oblivious to what Zhu Mingshi in the front was saying.

Meanwhile, Zhu Mingshi, driving at high speed ahead, gripped the steering wheel and muttered, "It's strange, Brother Wen, I've called you more than ten times, but I can't get through..." Zhang Wen was completely stunned, staring blankly ahead, utterly oblivious to what Zhu Mingshi was saying! He was completely numb... In the heavy rain, on a undulating hillside opposite Zhang Wen's villa area, a man wearing a straw hat stood solemnly in a patch of grass. He held a copper bell in his left hand, and his right hand formed a lotus mudra, with two fingers of the mudra holding a yellow talisman with cinnabar mantras. He chanted, "Prajnaparamita, Prajnaparamita..." His eyes were closed, focusing his spirit. The copper bell in his left hand swayed back and forth with the chanting, emitting a series of invisible, divine "ring-ring-ring" sounds that pierced through the continuous roar of the rain and scattered towards the Zhang Wen villa complex standing below the mountain.

At the same time, with a "whoosh," the talisman he was holding in his right hand seal spontaneously burst into flames in the pouring rain, turning into a ball of yellow flames. The straw-hatted man stood alone on the hillside in the rain, exuding a terrifying aura!

With a loud bang, suddenly amidst the pattering rain, a fierce, eerie wind, carrying with it a terrifying, invisible, immense magical power, surged like a flood from mid-air towards the grassy hillside where he stood.

The straw-hatted man instantly formed a protective mudra with his right hand and frantically shook the copper bell in his left hand to block the attack. With a deafening roar, the eerie, invisible wind carrying terrifying magical power swept past, and in an instant, the straw hat worn by the middle-aged man was blown off its back by a terrifying magical force, flying six or seven meters into the air, still ablaze. The copper bell in his left hand also exploded automatically with a "crack," and the burning talisman in his right hand instantly exploded in the rain, turning to ashes! It was like a scene from a slow-motion movie!

With a deafening roar, the tombstone behind the middle-aged man was instantly blasted to smithereens by the magic, hundreds of fragments flying everywhere in the rain like a fountain! The grass around him was also blasted up by the terrifying, invisible magic in the howling wind, the blades of grass flying everywhere like a nightmare, falling in all directions with the rain, it was absolutely terrifying! If it were an ordinary person, they would have exploded instantly, their body shattered in the wind.

---Magpie Bridge Fairy

Reply [36]: "Hahaha" Before the middle-aged man could recover, he heard a sinister, echoing demonic laugh behind him in the rain. His ears rang and his head felt hot. He quickly chanted a protective spell to protect himself and turned around to look.

Good heavens! Sometime during the night, an eight-year-old boy, seemingly out of nowhere, was riding a small bicycle, hovering in mid-air about half a meter above the grass behind him, staring fiercely at the middle-aged man. The boy's expression had become incredibly ferocious and terrifying, and a slowly rotating, menacing red cloud of light clung to the back of his head, making him appear utterly frightening!

"You brat, who told you to meddle in other people's business?" The little boy on the bicycle pointed his finger fiercely at the middle-aged man, but what came out was a heavy, terrifying, echoing devilish adult voice.

"The Buddha is merciful, and good and evil are clearly distinguished. You demon, you have indiscriminately killed ordinary people and violated the rules of heaven. Of course, I must intervene!" Looking at the child riding a bicycle suspended in mid-air, the middle-aged man instantly realized that the one speaking to him was not the child, but the eerie vortex-shaped glowing red cloud behind the little boy! Clearly, something terrifying in this demonic cloud was attached to the little boy.

"Hahaha," the little boy let out a heavy adult laugh, then in an instant, the adult voice changed into a sinister woman's voice, "What would happen if I bit my tongue and committed suicide right now?" The little boy grinned and stuck out his red tongue, which was extremely terrifying!

Good heavens! The demon possessing the little boy was trying to kill him by biting off his tongue, in order to threaten the middle-aged man.

"Spare this child! He is innocent. If you dare to kill this child, I will immediately use the Nine Yin Burning Body Technique to perish together with you, you monster!" the middle-aged man shouted sternly.

"Hahaha," the little boy let out a sinister, womanly laugh. "Fine, we'll see!" As soon as he uttered this eerie sound, with a "whoosh," the red cloud behind him instantly transformed into a long, dazzling red ribbon of light, shooting out from his back. It soared straight into the torrential rain clouds and vanished without a trace in the sky! Utterly bizarre!

Meanwhile, the little boy, along with his bicycle, fell straight down from mid-air back into the rustling grass after losing the red cloud, and collapsed unconscious on the ground.

Braving the torrential downpour, the middle-aged man rushed to the little boy's side, picked him up, and saw that the boy's face was deathly pale. He immediately pressed his palm against the boy's head, secretly channeling his inner energy into the boy's body. Wisps of white smoke rose from where his hand was pressed, demonstrating the depth of his skill! The little boy's pale face began to regain its color and vitality, and he slowly woke up. He opened his eyes, panting, and became awake.

"Little guy, are you alright?" the middle-aged man asked.

When the little boy woke up, his face was full of terror. He murmured to himself, "Uncle, uncle, it was so scary just now. A monster with a red glow rushed towards me. It wanted to eat me, it wanted to eat me..." Clearly, this was a fragment of his memory before he was possessed by the demon hidden in the red cloud.

"I'm scared, Uncle, I'm scared, Uncle, what just happened?" the little boy cried. Clearly, he couldn't remember what had happened after being possessed by that terrible demon.

"Don't be afraid, little brother, the monster has been driven away by your uncle. You don't need to be afraid anymore." After channeling his inner energy, the middle-aged man helped the little boy up.

"Go home quickly, take a shower, and get a good night's sleep." As he spoke, the middle-aged man pulled a triangular amulet from his pocket and handed it to the little boy. "Wear this, and you won't be afraid of monsters anymore!"

"Thank you, Uncle!" The little boy took the money, then drove off. Before leaving, he waved goodbye to the middle-aged man reluctantly before riding away home.

After the little boy disappeared from the middle-aged man's sight, the rain began to subside. The middle-aged man stood blankly in a patch of messy, scorched grass, then suddenly knelt down helplessly. A trickle of blood flowed straight from the corner of his pale mouth. My God, it turned out that when he faced that terrifying gust of cold wind, he had been attacked by an invisible demonic force and seriously injured.

He gasped for breath, thankfully he hadn't let the demon see that he was injured, otherwise, he couldn't even imagine the consequences!

Only one thought flashed through his mind: what exactly was that demonic spirit in the red cloud? How could it be so terrifying and frightening, with its cultivation and magic far exceeding his expectations?

In a large hospital on the outskirts of the New Territories, Zhang Wen and Zhu Mingshi frantically rushed up the stairs to the third floor. The dim, cold stairwell lights flickered as they ran, and the atmosphere became extremely tense.

When they rushed to the emergency operating room, the rescue operation had already been completed, and a doctor was writing a report nearby. Zhang Wen immediately rushed up and asked, "How is the seriously injured woman you found on the beach? Doctor?"

The doctor looked up. "You are...?"

Zhang Wen hurriedly said, "I am her husband," while showing his police officer ID.

"She was just resuscitated and is currently in the intensive care unit. However, her condition is very serious and frightening..." The doctor's face showed a look of horror!

"How about it?"

"I have never seen anything like this before. Her entire body is covered in sores, some of which have turned green, and even her internal organs are rotting, as if she has been poisoned! Forgive my bluntness, but you should prepare for the worst!" the doctor said solemnly.

Twenty minutes later, in the intensive care unit, Zhang Wen and Zhu Mingshi, dressed in green, came to An Li's bedside.

Zhang Wen used his gloved hands to open the sheet. My God, it really was his wife An Li inside. Her face had become terrifying, and her whole body was covered with dense, festering wounds. Sterilized white cloths covered her entire body, making her practically skinless. Her skin color had also turned green as if she had been poisoned, making her extremely eerie and terrifying!

"Anli, what's wrong? What happened?" Zhang Wen asked. He felt that Anli's entire body was covered in festering wounds, as if she had been bitten by something terrible!

Anli, whose face was already rotten beyond recognition, slowly opened her eyes. She opened her mouth in pain, trying to speak, but she couldn't utter a word. She could only let out a terrible whimpering sound, and tears streamed down her face. She would never be able to speak again.

Zhang Wen noticed that An Li's face was covered in bruises and her eyes were filled with extreme fear and terror. Clearly, she had encountered something terrible before the incident!

"Don't die, don't..." Looking at his wife's body, so badly ulcerated that even the bones and blood vessels were exposed, Zhang Wen couldn't help but cry like a child. An Li looked at Zhang Wen in anguish, tears streaming down her face as well.

Suddenly, Anli's body began to tremble violently, as if completely out of control. Zhang Wen was so frightened that he took a few steps back. He saw that Anli's festering face showed an unprecedented expression of pain, and she groaned in a terrifying "ah-ah" sound. All the festering wounds on her face, hands, and body were inexplicably throbbing and vibrating up and down on their own, which was extremely horrifying! Anli screamed and tossed and turned on the bed.

"What's wrong with you?" Zhang Wen was so frightened that he was completely stunned.

---Magpie Bridge Fairy

Reply [37]: "Giggle, giggle, giggle!" With a terrifying sound, Anli's wound on her left arm suddenly turned outward, and a small black spider crawled out of the wound along with the flowing green liquid. Then, other wounds on her body also opened up one after another with a "giggle, giggle, giggle" sound, and spiders crawled out from more and more wounds. It was extremely terrifying! Soon, it quickly spread to her whole body, and there were spiders everywhere. In an instant, they crawled all over Anli's body like ants. It was extremely terrifying!

This unbelievable scene startled Zhang Wen and Zhu Mingshi so much that they took several steps back. "How could this be?" Zhu Mingshi screamed in horror.

"After Anli, covered in crawling spiders, let out a final scream, her head turned to the left, and she remained still. A large gush of black liquid instantly flowed from her nose, mouth, and ears. Incredibly, her skin rapidly dissolved after the horrifying black liquid oozed out, turning into a large pool of blood that spread in all directions. At the same time, even larger spiders emerged from the blood and flesh, crawling away in all directions. Poor Anli, she had died a gruesome death on the spot!"

Zhang Wen walked up in a panic and pulled back the sheet. My God, the festering wounds all over his wife's body were slowly dissolving and decaying, turning into large clumps of greenish-black blood. Large swarms of black spiders were flowing out with the blood. My God, from the open wounds, it was clear that An Li's body cavity was full of spiders. They swarmed from An Li's body onto the bed like ants!

"Call a doctor right now!" Zhang Wen screamed sternly. Zhu Mingshi, terrified, scrambled outside, yelling, "Doctor! Doctor!"
