Kapitel 55

“Li Youran is my girlfriend now, haven’t you heard?” Xiaoxin said.

“Many legends are far removed from the truth, so just hearing about them is useless,” Qu Yun said.

“Now, let me, the protagonist, tell you,” Xiao Xin stood up from his seat, placed his hands on the table, and looked directly at Qu Yun: “Now, Li Youran is mine, understand? My woman.”

"Please say it again," Qu Yun requested.

"Li Youran is my woman." Xiao Xin granted his request.

"Even on both occasions, there was still a complete lack of confidence in her voice," Qu Yun commented.

Shin-chan began to emit a silvery-white light, and snowflakes began to fall from the sky.

It's getting colder, even colder. Youran hugs her arms.

The snowflakes fell for a minute. During this time, Xiaoxin and Quyun kept looking at each other. You Ran was especially worried that they would be unable to resist sharing a kiss.

The kiss did happen, but the victim was You Ran herself.

A minute later, Xiao Xin suddenly reached out, scooped up You Ran beside him, grabbed her chin, and kissed her heavily in front of all the students in the library and Qu Yun.

Due to space limitations, the kiss was a light peck, but it achieved its intended effect.

Xiao Xin let go of You Ran, looked at Qu Yun, and smiled with satisfaction: "If you don't believe what you hear, you should at least believe what you see."

Qu Yun's eyes narrowed, a dark glint flashing within them.

Suddenly, the day after tomorrow arrived, and all the surrounding buildings were covered with a thick layer of ice and snow.

You Ran immediately squatted down on the ground.

Shin-chan lifted her up, a forced smile on his face: "What are you doing?"

"Burning books for warmth," You Ran shivered.

So this is what a battle between two men is like.

Not only You Ran, but other students in the library also suffered, all hunching their necks, forcing the teacher to turn the heating back on.

Just before everyone was about to freeze into ice, Qu Yun, the ice-making machine, left.

He turned and left without saying a word.

Xiao Xin watched Qu Yun's departing figure, then laughed loudly three times. He turned to You Ran and asked smugly, "How was that?"

Leisurely, she gently wiped her lips with her hand, softly uttering a few words: "Your kissing skills are terrible."

Shin-chan: "..."

If there were a pill to undo regrets, You Ran would definitely buy ten or eight boxes of it and swallow them all at once.

If time could be turned back, You Ran would definitely run back to the moment she criticized Shin-chan's poor kissing skills and cut off her own tongue.

Ever since You Ran criticized Xiao Xin's kissing skills, Xiao Xin has been trying to pounce on her and forcefully kiss her to avenge his previous humiliation.

But how could You Ran let such a young brat take advantage of her? Naturally, she fought back fiercely, and the two began a game of chase and hide-and-seek on campus.

Every morning, when You Ran left the dormitory, she would look left and right, because Xiao Xin had once pounced on her from behind like a golden retriever—although she was eventually kicked into the bushes by Xiao Xin with a roundhouse kick.

Every day during breaks, You Ran no longer dared to bury her head in sleep, because Xiao Xin once walked into their classroom and tried to steal a kiss from her while she was sleeping in front of the teacher—although she ended up getting a scalp ruptured from being hit by a thick book by Xiao Xin.

Every noon, You Ran has to be on guard while eating with Xiao Xin, because Xiao Xin once tried to bite her mouth while she was engrossed in eating—although she ended up pouring a pot of hot soup over her head.

Every evening, when You Ran goes for a run, she always keeps her distance from the football field, because the ruthless Xiao Xin once took a basketball and tried to knock her unconscious in order to achieve his evil purpose—although he was eventually knocked unconscious by himself with a fist-sized rock.

And so, You Ran lived in fear every day, having recurring nightmares in which there was only a gaping maw full of fangs.

You Ran was so frightened she almost wet the bed.

Besides dealing with Xiaoxin, You Ran also has to deal with Qu Yun. Even if she's just being delusional, You Ran always thinks that Qu Yun won't give up easily.

So she tried to avoid going to the college office as much as possible. When she saw someone who looked like Qu Yun on the street, she would immediately run back. Even worse, she didn't take any elective courses this semester—fearing that the instructor might be Qu Yun.

If all else fails, I can take it again in my senior year. Let's get through this hurdle first.

Elective courses can be skipped temporarily, but the three lab classes each semester cannot be avoided. After thorough investigation, You Ran chose the three lab classes that Qu Yun absolutely could not attend: biology, psychology, and astronomy.

The second period on Sunday afternoon was a biology lab class. I leisurely arrived at the biology lab according to the schedule, only to find out that today's task was to draw my own blood to test my blood type.

You Ran held the needle, gritted her teeth, and prepared to prick her index finger, but she couldn't bring herself to do it. As time passed by, You Ran became anxious.

While she was engrossed in typing away, someone walked up to her and said, "I'll help you."

His leisurely neck creaked and groaned as if it were a machine that hadn't been used for ten years.

Her hearing was fine; the man in front of her was indeed Qu Yun.

“I’m a good friend of the teacher who taught this class, so I’m here to help him out,” Qu Yun said, tacitly voicing You Ran’s question.

"We have a very good personal relationship, my foot!"

Before she could finish cursing, Qu Yun grabbed her hand with one hand and held the needle with the other, saying in the most serious tone, "I'll help you break it."

No sooner had he finished speaking than a sharp pain shot through his index finger.

"Damn it," You Ran cursed under her breath, "that damn man, he's defiled me twice."

After breaking You for the second time, Qu Yun held her fingers and dripped five or six drops onto the glass.

You Ran felt heartbroken. They really didn't value her blood. Drip so much blood; it was such a waste!

After completing this step, you just need to wait and see which serum, the anti-A or the anti-B serum, can clot your blood.

It was precisely this waiting that was unbearable—Qu Yun was standing right next to him.

You Ran didn't look up, but she could feel that her bangs were about to turn into curly hair under his gaze.

With so many people around, You Ran couldn't afford to make a scene, so she could only say, "Teacher, I don't need your help here anymore. Please go and assist the other students."

"Is that so?" Qu Yun asked.

"Yes," You Ran replied decisively.

"Alright then." Qu Yun took a step forward.

Before You Ran could even feel overjoyed, she saw the table being violently pushed by an unknown force, and then the piece of glass with blood dripping from it, which had been resting on the edge of the table, fell to the ground.

Shattered.

Blood and serum were spilled.

The experiment must be redone, which means that You Ran must bleed again.

Looking at the congealed wound and the needle, and then at the culprit Qu Yun's face as if nothing had happened, You Ran gritted her teeth and said, "Teacher, be careful that the foot you kicked the table with breaks."

To this curse, Qu Yun smiled, glanced at his watch, and said nonchalantly, "It seems your finger will have to break again before I break it."

You Ran was determined not to let him have his way again, so this time she turned to other classmates for help.

Just as I hurriedly dripped the blood onto the serum, the bell rang, signaling the end of get out of class. The rest of the students had finished their experiments, handed in their reports, and left.

Before long, only You Ran, Qu Yun, and the biology professors remained in the laboratory.

"Luckily there are outsiders," I thought leisurely.

But then she saw Qu Yun walk up to the biology professor, whisper a few words to him, and then the only precious outsider left.

"Teacher in charge, you haven't checked my experiment yet, you can't leave!" You Ran said anxiously.

Who would want to stay with Qu Yun?

But Qu Yunyou stopped her, saying, "I'm here for you. Your teacher will stay with you."

Since things had come to this, You Ran decided to sit down and treat him as if he were invisible, neither looking nor listening.

Qu Yun sat down next to her, and the two of them observed the changes on the glass slide together.

After a while, Qu Yun suddenly asked, "Are you and Long Xiang really together?"

"Did you eat last night?" You Ran asked back.

“Yes,” Qu Yun said.

"No wonder, I ate too much and got full." You Ran calmly realized.

"You haven't answered my question yet." Qu Yun was never one to give up easily.

"What's the problem?" You Ran asked again.

"Are you and Long Xiang really together?" Qu Yun asked.

"Did you know? The school beauty and the school hunk from the dorm next door are dating," You Ran suddenly said.

"What does your relationship with Long Xiang have to do with the school beauty and the school hunk dating?" Qu Yun asked.

"If that's the case, then what does my relationship with Long Xiang have to do with you?" You Ran glanced at it.

After saying this, You Ran felt a great sense of accomplishment, so she looked down at the glass shard and savored the moment.

Just as she was savoring the moment, Qu Yun's breath suddenly intensified, instantly enveloping her, and something soft touched her lips.

As if attacked by a wild beast, You Ran instinctively retaliated, biting hard and injuring the tongue that was trying to break through her teeth and enter her mouth.

Qu Yun slowly pulled away from her lips, her slender white fingers lightly tracing the corner of her mouth, and chuckled: "Sure enough, your teeth have become sharp, and your tongue has become shrewd too."

You Ran took out a tissue and disgustedly wiped her lips, which Qu Yun had just touched, and warned, "Teacher, I can sue you."

"I just couldn't help myself." Qu Yun's eyes held a deep smile.

"A good excuse. Please allow me to use it next time I cut off the root of your sins." You Ran stood up and said in a cold voice.

"I'm really looking forward to that moment." Qu Yun's voice carried a touch of gentle tenderness.

Not wanting to say anything more to him, You Ran waited for the experimental results to come out, then quickly filled out the experimental report, threw it on the lectern, and fled the laboratory as if escaping a plague zone.

As he walked briskly, he leisurely wiped his mouth, feeling as if Qu Yun's breath still lingered there.

Unexpectedly, just as she reached the bottom of the laboratory building, someone suddenly jumped out, and the next second, You Ran was pinned against the wall, her lips touching his again.

This time, it was Shin-chan who forcibly kissed her.

After the kiss, Shin-chan wiped his mouth, still wanting more: "How was it? My technique improved this time, right?"

With her head bowed, her bangs obscured her eyes, and the upper half of her face was completely hidden in shadow.

Shin-chan nudged her: "Are you alright? Did you faint from happiness?"

You Ran didn't speak, but frost began to appear around her. She slowly raised her head, her eyes filled with a world-destroying darkness.
