Er kämpft in allen Himmeln und unzähligen Welten - Kapitel 4

Kapitel 4

Tianheng remained silent, only reaching out his hand in an attempt to catch me. The eldest grandson of the emperor was only three years old at the time, and no matter how strong he was, he could not possibly complete such a difficult task. As a result, he fell down with me, becoming a little cushion.

Although I intended to cause a scene, I always felt sorry for my nephew. In the blink of an eye, I couldn't stop myself, and I was filled with regret. Suddenly, someone leaped up from the side and caught me. Even with my eyes closed, I couldn't mistake that familiar embrace. A sense of relief washed over me, but then I heard a clattering noise beside me. Someone had probably overturned a table, spilling cups and wine glasses in a chaotic mess.

With this commotion, the drumming naturally stopped. Ji Feng held me tightly, which was unusual for him. My cheek was forced against his chest. With my eyes closed, my hearing was very sharp. Amidst the noise, I could even clearly hear the vibrations of his heartbeat.

I knew he was exceptionally skilled in lightness of foot, and that this distance was nothing to him. But I didn’t expect his heart to be beating so fast. Then I realized that he must have been under too much psychological pressure and nervous when he confronted that Mo Kingdom warrior. With that thought, I couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. I put my fingers in my sleeve, thinking that no one would see it anyway, and slowly moved them, finally gently pressing them on his chest.

He didn't speak or move, but he must have felt my touch, because the way he held me loosened his grip and stopped being so strong.

Then, the sound of footsteps approached, followed by the Emperor's voice from above, "Ping An, what's wrong?"

I put on a convincing act, struggling for a long time before finally opening my eyes. I then clutched my chest, feigning near death, and said in a weak voice, "Father, I'm suddenly feeling unwell and have spoiled your mood." As I spoke, I glanced around out of the corner of my eye and saw Tianheng being held in my brother's arms, staring at me with wide eyes.

Alas, have I perhaps cast a childhood shadow on this child's heart? My apologies, my apologies.

"Since you're not feeling well, go back and rest. Summon the imperial physician for immediate treatment. Your father will come to see you later." His voice was calm, and he didn't seem angry. The lights in the hall were dazzling, and I felt blinded by the light when I looked up, so I had to keep my eyes half-closed. Naturally, I couldn't see his expression in the shadow of the beaded curtain.

But since Father has spoken, then Ji Feng and I can leave this place. I frowned, but I was very happy. However, this was the first time in more than ten years that I had lied to my father and brothers, and I felt a little guilty.

The imperial physician arrived in the blink of an eye, standing outside the hall. I was carried out in full view of everyone. In this magnificent Hall of Supreme Harmony, I am probably the first royal woman to walk in but be carried out. I wonder how others will look at me, and I don't know if I will have the opportunity to participate in the banquet again.

But at this moment, I was too lazy to think, and I didn't want to look at anyone anymore. I turned my head to the side and buried my head in Ji Feng's arms, pretending that I didn't exist.

The nanny and maids were already kneeling at the palace gate, their faces pale. When I came out of the main hall and saw their expressions, I couldn't help but close my eyes again.

This has happened every time. Even though I am ill, their expressions always seem to show even more pain than I am. It's really hard to understand.

The imperial carriage was ready and waiting at the foot of the white jade steps. Just as my large entourage was about to set off, the voice of the imperial eunuch suddenly came from behind, high-pitched and shrill, piercing my eardrums.

"By imperial decree, Princess Ping'an shall return to the palace first, while guard Ji Feng shall enter the hall to continue the duel."

I couldn't believe my ears for a moment. I looked up, intending to rebuke him for his nonsense, but a sudden numbness went down my spine and my body went limp. Ji Feng placed me in the carriage and turned to leave. I was frantic, unable to speak or move, so I could only glare at him. He remained expressionless until he finally glanced at me before turning away. The gauze curtains fell, and everyone else was waiting outside for me to depart. Half of his body was inside the curtains. He didn't speak, but simply reached out and gently ruffled the top of my head.

Hai: In the next chapter, let's continue to torment Ping An! *clapping*

Ping An: Guards, drag him away and beat him to death!

Chapter 12

As the imperial carriage departed, I remained seated inside, unable to move, and heard footsteps on both sides, along with the occasional greeting, "Your Highness, Princess."

I was extremely anxious the whole way, but I couldn't make a sound to stop those damned servants from turning back. I wondered what was going on in the main hall, and my mind was in complete chaos.

The surroundings gradually quieted down, probably because we were getting close to my residence. When I was a child, the imperial physician said that my body needed quiet rest and could not tolerate noise. Therefore, my father arranged for me to live in a secluded corner of the Imperial Garden, where there were few people except for those around me.

As I was wondering how the imperial physician would conclude my inexplicable fainting spell, the carriage suddenly lurched and plummeted into the air. My heart skipped a beat, but a powerful force rose against the current, catching the carriage and bringing it to a silent landing.

The curtain was lifted, and a strange face peeked in. I stared wide-eyed at him. It was a man dressed as a eunuch, with ordinary features but incredibly bright and lively eyes. He grinned at me and said, "You're awake?"

"Xiao Jin, get her out of here." There was another voice outside, chillingly cold. He turned around to speak.

"Brother, she's awake."

The carriage moved, and then the gauze curtain was swept open, revealing a familiar face. It was the old imperial physician who had been hanging around me for many years. I was so shocked that my eyes almost popped out of my head, but he didn't care at all. He reached out and quickly tapped me twice with his fingers, moving like the wind.

I gasped. The old imperial physician was extremely formal. For many years, he had even taken my pulse through a canopy outside the tent. When he spoke to me, he would prostrate himself on the ground, not daring to raise his head. Today, he had dared to be so rebellious and defiant. I was so angry that my blood seemed to run cold. I hated that I couldn't move. In my anger and shame, my eyes almost spit fire.

"She's been acupunctured; let's just take her away like this." The old imperial physician spoke, but his voice wasn't as old as I had imagined; it actually overlapped with the cold male voice I had heard earlier.

The little eunuch immediately responded and reached out to drag me away. His movements were rough, and I glared at him, wanting to call him a daring servant and slap him again, but my body wouldn't obey my commands, and in the blink of an eye, I was dragged away.

I fell heavily to the ground, the pain bringing tears to my eyes. There were no lights in the Imperial Garden, but the moonlight was bright. As far as I could see, the old nanny and all the maids and guards lay sprawled on the ground, all silent.

No matter how sheltered I was, by this time I understood my situation. When my father ascended the throne, he made many enemies. Although the palace was heavily guarded, there were always treacherous officials who came to seek their deaths. My elder brother once described to me the fate of several blind assassins who tried to kill him, nothing more than being cut into pieces and minced into mincemeat. He said this while I was eating dumplings, which made me spit out a dumpling into my little nephew's bowl, and we both felt disgusted to death.

As the Crown Prince, my elder brother is the target of everyone's hatred, so it's not surprising that he's being targeted by thieves. However, I live a secluded life and have never left the palace. Many people in the common people don't even know that the royal family has a princess named Ping An, and they don't understand why these two blind thieves would come after me.

It's one thing for them to come looking for me, but they had to choose a time when Ji Feng wasn't around. Ever since Ji Feng became my servant, we've been inseparable for the past few months. I never imagined that today, after just a brief separation, I would be captured by these two traitors. It's utterly hateful.

The ground was cold, and I was so angry that my heart was burning, I didn't feel the cold at all. The carriage stopped in a shady spot, and all was quiet. Suddenly, I heard footsteps in the distance. I looked up and saw two eunuchs carrying a dark blue sedan chair.

The carriage overturned, and my maids lay scattered on the ground. If anyone saw this, it would surely alarm the imperial guards. I was overjoyed. Before I could even figure out the origin of the carriage, the little eunuch who had dragged me off the carriage went up to me and patted the first eunuch on the shoulder, laughing.

"Why are you so late? We've been waiting for you."

It turns out that these treacherous officials and villains are all in groups. I rolled my eyes and was completely dejected.

Hai: Monsoon, something's wrong, something's wrong!

Narrator: You... are you looking for death?

Chapter 13

I was shoved into a sedan chair. The seat was hollow and the space below was narrow. The little eunuch was rough and forced my head down. I was unable to move and could only glare at him all the way. Before he closed the seat, he looked at me and smiled, saying, "This daughter born to the dog emperor has big eyes."

I was so angry I was practically fuming, my teeth chattering. All I wanted to do was slap that bastard hard. The moment that thought crossed my mind, his fingers, which were bent behind his back, trembled slightly. I was suddenly overjoyed, wondering if the acupoints Ji Feng had just pressed were starting to lose their effectiveness. But then everything went black. He had already pulled the seat cover down behind him, and the sedan chair moved slightly. I guessed that the old imperial physician, who was pretending to be weak, had gotten in.

The area under the seat was completely dark, not a breath of air could get in, and that damned servant had put me in an extremely uncomfortable position. The thought of that old man's butt sitting right above me made me grit my teeth.

But a small act of impatience can ruin a great plan. Right now, the only part of my body I can move is my fingers. My tongue has regained some feeling, but it feels numb. I don't know how loud a sound I can make even if I try my best. Besides, once the sedan chair starts moving, there is complete silence on both sides. The place I am in is, to put it nicely, a paradise on earth. To put it bluntly, it is a desolate wilderness full of flowers. Even if I make a sound, I guess the only people I can disturb are these traitors. I will only be humiliated for no reason.

With that thought, I calmed down, curled up in the darkness, slowly closed my eyes, and listened carefully to the sounds outside the sedan chair, while also thinking about the monsoon.

Strangely enough, his face was even clearer in the darkness. He looked the most ordinary, standing silently beside me. His hair had grown long and was simply tied up, black and soft, right next to my hand.

My nose stung, and I gritted my teeth and held it in in the darkness, barely daring to breathe.

Three hundred and twenty-seven, three hundred and twenty-seven, I must be safe and sound, I absolutely cannot die.

The sedan chair swayed and bumped along the way. The environment I was in was too harsh, and my posture was also bad. I was hunched over, which made me feel short of breath and my chest tight. I almost fainted, so I had to bite my tongue hard to keep myself awake.

The taste of blood gradually filled my mouth, but the pain became more and more numb. I began to feel dizzy, but then I heard voices in my ears, which immediately excited me.

The sedan chair stopped, and someone spoke, "Which palace are you from? Come over and show your passes for entering and leaving the imperial city."

I was overjoyed to find that we had arrived at the palace gate. My tongue, which had regained consciousness, slowly licked my teeth. The taste of blood made me even more alert. I took a deep breath with all my might, looked up, and opened my mouth to shout.

But suddenly a great force pressed down on my head, as if a thousand pounds were pressing down on me. My breath caught in my throat, and I immediately lost consciousness, knowing nothing more.

It took me a lot of effort to open my eyes again. My eyelids were heavy, my body was cold, and I felt as if I were submerged in water, without any warmth at all.

My first reaction after I was finally able to see was to be furious. All around me was desolation, with tattered, earthen-yellow curtains hanging everywhere. I was thrown onto a dusty table, with a corner of a broken roof above me. Rainwater fell straight down on me, soaking me to the bone.

Looking at those two thieves, they were all gathered around a fire in a dry place. I immediately slammed my hand on the table. Before I could even raise it, someone came over. His face was completely unfamiliar, but his eyes were darting around. It was that little eunuch with the thieving eyes.

I raised my hand halfway and slapped him across the face. He didn't even turn his head; he just floated back a step like a ghost and laughed.

"Oh my, this little guy is pretty fierce."

I opened my mouth, my voice hoarse, and even I found it unbearable to hear, but at least I managed to say something.

I said, "You scoundrel, I will cut you into a thousand pieces and chop you into mincemeat to make dumplings for the imperial physicians."

Hai: I left a message, rolling around, rolling around.

Chapter 14

He laughed, turned around and said, "Brother, come over and listen to her talk, it's so interesting."

That cold voice rang out again, "Take her to the car, we still have a long way to go."

I remembered the voice. I turned around to look, but there was no sign of the old imperial physician. Instead, a young man stood up and walked over to the table where I was lying.

Light streamed through the dilapidated temple roof, and the broken doors allowed faint morning light to filter in. The fire was dying down, and the various lights blended together, creating an eerie atmosphere. His face was blurred in this light. I had been unconscious for too long and was afraid that I was seeing things, so I tried to look at him for a long time without making a sound. He didn't speak either, but just looked down at me, probably thinking that my silence was because I was afraid of him.

I was surprised because the man was still wearing the old imperial physician's clothes, and his voice was one I could never forget. But his face had become smooth and beardless, with cold, hard lines. He was so beautiful that he had no life in him, like a stone sculpture.

I stared at him, my eyes widening, gasping for breath. Finally, he couldn't hold back any longer and asked me, "What do you want to say?"

I answered, saying only two words.

"monster."

The face above my head suddenly made a strange expression, while the little eunuch next to me reacted much more strongly. After hearing what I said, his face contorted, and after a moment he finally couldn't hold back and burst out laughing, clutching his stomach and bending over.

This man can change his voice and body in a single day, what else could he be but a monster? Ji Feng even called me a monster, he should really come and see for himself what a monster is.

He turned to look at the little eunuch, who immediately fell silent, clearly terrified of him, and then reached out to pull me away.

Now that I am able to move, how could I let this scoundrel touch my body again? I immediately braced myself on the table with both hands and backed away, then kicked him with my foot.

"Who gave you permission to touch me? Get lost."

He wasn't annoyed at all, and said with a grin, "Your Highness, please cooperate a little. If my elder brother has to do it, you'll be dizzy for half a day again."

He shouldn't have said anything, because once he did, I was reminded of the humiliation I had suffered before, and I glared at the man fiercely again.

"Monster, what evil magic did you cast on me before?"

He had already turned and walked away, and upon hearing this, he didn't even turn his head back.

That hateful little thief was incredibly fast. I had barely finished speaking when he pulled out a strip of cloth and rope. I tried to kick him, but I missed. Instead, he dragged me off the table and I landed on the ground with a thud. My head hit the corner of the table, and I saw stars. He then twisted my hands behind my back and tied them tightly with the rope.

I have never suffered like this in my life. Today, it happened again and again. Fortunately, I reacted quickly and immediately understood the difference between inside and outside the palace. It seems that it is useless to act like a princess with these scoundrels. It's okay, a royal woman can bend and stretch. Since being tough doesn't work, let's try another way.

As I struggled, I said, "Hey, you, I'm talking to you, don't go! You were ordered to kidnap me, weren't you? How much did those traitors give you? I'll give you double! Release me now, and since this is your first offense, I'll let it go and reward you with a thousand taels of gold and a thousand acres of fertile land. How about it?"

He stopped, turned around and gave me a cold look. I was secretly pleased, but then I heard him ask, "You're negotiating with a monster?"

I was furious when I heard this and struggled even harder. The little thief couldn't hold me down and I was able to break free. In a flash, I saw the monster flying over and sealing my acupoints with lightning speed.

My vision went black instantly, and I couldn't move my hands or feet, but I could still hear the little thief talking.

"Brother, her body is so weak, won't constantly sealing her acupoints damage her blood and make her unable to catch her breath?"

"It's alright. I don't know who subdued her acupoints earlier, but they only used half their strength and didn't even touch her blood vessels. Afterwards, I just used my internal energy to knock her unconscious. Now that the acupoints are sealed, she'll be fine."

"I see." The little thief suddenly realized, "No wonder she was able to move in a few moments before. She almost messed things up when leaving the palace. Luckily, my brother found out in time."

"What are you babbling about? Hurry up and change your clothes, the manor is already waiting." The monster refused to say anything more, and then there was the rustling of clothes being put on.
