Kapitel 107

She rested for a while, composed herself, and began to dig for the key to the red dress with almost reverence. Although her hands were still trembling and she felt conflicted, she had no room to back down.

She gripped the key tightly in her hand. "Dad, can I trust Zhengwei? Can he? He would never betray me, right? After all, he's the father of this child in my belly. I'm willing to trust him this once."

Her thoughts began to wander. Thinking about going to find Yi Zhengwei later, her heart started pounding. It seemed like they hadn't seen each other for half a month. She had driven him away in a fit of anger.

“Dad, am I being too greedy? I want both his benefits and his loyalty and trust.” But why does she feel he can do it?

She kept rambling on and on until lunchtime was over before Song Qing finally got up to leave. As she got into the car, she coughed slightly. The mountain wind wasn't strong, but it was still a bit biting. Was it because her heart wasn't as resilient as before?

After safely descending the mountain, she turned on her phone, only to find Yi Mantian calling one after another. She called back, "Dad, you guys have lunch first. I have something to do, I need to go see Zhengwei."

Yi Mantian chuckled, his initial irritability vanishing completely. "Alright, alright, go ahead. He's been so busy lately that you can't see him all day. You and he can have a nice meal together, don't rush."

“Yes, Dad.” Song Qing smiled.

Upon arriving at the bank, she went straight to Yi Zhengwei's office. It was lunch break, and Lily was fast asleep at her desk, not even hearing her enter.

"Looks like she's been really busy lately," Song Qing thought to himself, looking at Lily's tired face.

Upon entering the office, I found it completely empty. The break room was also empty; the beds were neatly made and cold, as if no one had slept there in a long time.

Lily finally woke up and, upon seeing Song Qing, quickly wiped away her drool and apologized, "I'm sorry, Chairman Song, I failed in my duty."

"It's nothing. Where did Zhengwei go?" Song Qing had just called his cell phone, but it had already been transferred to the secretary's desk.

"Here's the thing, we've taken on the IPO planning for several large companies. Mr. Yi is very busy and has a lot of social engagements. The heads of the companies are all staying at the Feilong Hotel. For the convenience of his work, Mr. Yi has been resting there during lunch and evening recently."

Song Qing frowned and said "Oh".

"Should I call them and ask them to call Mr. Yi back?"

"No need, I'll go find him and tell me his room number."

Chapter Fifty-Eight: I Want More of You

"First, you are denying my work ability; second, it is my duty to share the burden with my wife, and I cannot say that I am just going through the motions, but that I must do my job."

- Yi Zhengwei

Feilong Hotel is located in the city center. At noon, the surrounding area is still bustling with activity. There are all kinds of facilities for eating, drinking and entertainment nearby, making it a great place to entertain important clients.

As soon as she entered the elevator, she felt extremely unwell; her stomach was growling. She covered her lips and gagged a few times, probably because she was too hungry; she already had a sensitive stomach.

Song Qing found the room and rang the doorbell. Yi Zhengwei took a long time to open the door, his tone unfriendly. His hair was disheveled, his face颓废 (颓废 is a difficult word to translate directly, but it implies a state of listlessness, decadence, and a lack of refinement), and he wore a robe loosely tied at the waist, its chest wide open, revealing a surprisingly sexy and extravagant air. His body, just out of bed, looked exceptionally warm and approachable; his eyes were misty, and even his slightly furrowed brows were remarkably handsome. Song Qing looked up at him and smiled slightly, "It's me, Zhengwei."

Yi Zhengwei gave her a cold look, his voice still hoarse from being half asleep; he had stayed up until 3 a.m. last night.

He nodded slightly, turned around and went back into the room. He hugged his neck and leaned against the headboard. It looked like he was going to fall asleep again if she didn't say anything.

Song Qing shook her head helplessly, saying it was impossible not to feel sorry for him at this moment. She helped him lie down, covered him with the blanket, and went to the bar to boil water. She saw a bread machine at the bar, opened the refrigerator, and saw that there was some bread inside, so she took it out, cut a few pieces, and carefully arranged them. After the water boiled, she heated two cups of milk.

Once everything was ready, she carried the plate to the coffee table beside the bed. Looking down, she saw that Yi Zhengwei was already awake, his eyes sparkling.

She smiled sheepishly, "I went to Yangmingshan today and it got late, so I didn't have time to eat." She had originally wanted to ask Yi Zhengwei to go to a restaurant with her, but seeing how tired he was and how he had entertained clients, she figured he must have already eaten, so she decided to just grab something quick and easy.

Yi Zhengwei stretched and sat up, leaning against the headboard. "Call me sooner rather than later. I can wait for you." He really couldn't understand this woman. After not seeing her for half a month, she was acting all well-behaved, but the expression on her face when she was angry at him for leaving home was gone.

Song Qing shook her head. "You have so many things on your shoulders right now, it's not good for you to make do with me."

Upon hearing this, Yi Zhengwei smiled at her and beckoned to her, saying, "Qing'er, come over here."

As soon as Song Qing sat down, he pulled her into the bed, placed his hand on her lower abdomen, and gently asked, "How have you been feeling lately? Have you been letting our baby go hungry like this often?"

Song Qing chuckled. "No, Dad and Aunt Zhou were the first to scold me, but because of him, my temper has become a bit bad." She secretly made excuses for her previous behavior.

Yi Zhengwei looked down at her; at this moment, she was no different from a child.

"I heard you've taken on several big projects. Can you handle Power One?" Song Qing asked with great concern.

Yi Zhengwei frowned, tapped her nose with his finger, and chuckled, "First, you are denying my work ability; second, it is my duty to share the burden with my wife, and I cannot say that I am just going through the motions, but that I must do my job."

Song Qing nestled gratefully into his arms, his warm breath making her drowsy. "Dad woke me up at seven this morning to play ball, and he stayed up very late last night looking at the restructuring plan, but I couldn't tell anyone..."

"Okay, I'll call my dad and tell him later."

"Also, the new orders are coming in soon, and I need to organize a meeting between the technical and production departments."

Yi Zhengwei frowned. Song Qing had never talked to him about new projects before, so he didn't respond for a moment.

"I think I need to go to the factory sometime; we can't afford any more accidents this time," Song Qing continued.

"No, I promise," Yi Zhengwei quickly replied.

"Qing'er, are you hungry? I'll take you to get a good meal." He patted Song Qing's sleepy face. How could she fall asleep so quickly? Before, no matter how he called her, she wouldn't sleep, as if she had a grudge against sleeping.

Song Qing snuggled into Yi Zhengwei's arms like a koala, looking both greedy and reluctant. After a while, she pouted, covered her lips, and yawned.

This made Yi Zhengwei smile knowingly.

"Okay, I'm really hungry."

"Hmm, wake up, I'm going to wash my face." Yi Zhengwei released Song Qing and got out of bed.

Looking at his tall and reassuring back, Song Qing suddenly jumped off the bed and hugged him from behind.

"Zhengwei, come back to sleep." At this moment, she needed him so much, but how could she say it?

Yi Zhengwei froze. He was always helpless with the docile and obedient Song Qing, just like when Song Jingmo died. During that time, Song Qing was like this now, clinging to him almost every day, needing him so much that he had begun to have expectations of her. But what was the result? After the funeral, Song Qing completely forgot about him. He rushed home from Cambridge that day, but didn't see Song Qing, and couldn't get through on the phone. Without thinking, he drove up the mountain again. It had just rained that day, and the mountain road was full of mud. He trudged up the mountain, constantly searching for her. How anxious he was! In desperation, he went to the Song family with his last hope, but what did he see? Song Qing was unharmed, practically running out, with unchewed food in her mouth and her lips greasy, standing there looking at his disheveled state. At that moment, he really wanted to yell at her. What did she take him, Yi Zhengwei, for?
