Heavenly Book The Great Void - Chapter 4
Weiwei pursed her lips dismissively and comforted him, "Don't be afraid, it's far away, they can't hear you. Don't be afraid."
Lin, the skinny guy, finally managed to swallow the "egg," his eyes rolling back in his head. Catching his breath, he pleaded in a tearful voice, "Miss, please don't tell anyone that Tianyuan Apartments is going to collapse! If the reporters and residents hear this, President Gao will eat me alive!"
Song Yu also stepped in to smooth things over: "Weiwei wouldn't talk nonsense, Vice President Lin, don't worry. We're here this time to prevent any problems from arising and to ensure that Tianyuan Apartment doesn't collapse."
"You have a way?" Lin the Skinny stared at Song Yu suspiciously.
"Of course our company has a solution!"
Song Yu added the word "company" to her statement in order to shirk responsibility later, since Qiqi was coming in the afternoon anyway.
"Okay, I'll keep you company this morning and wait to see your company's brilliant moves."
Song Yu could only remain silent, pretending to be composed and confident.
The three of them stopped in the lobby of Building C of Tianyuan Apartment. Lin, the skinny man, asked Weiwei politely, "This...Miss, may I ask your surname?"
Weiwei waved her hand: "Just call me Weiwei."
"I don't know why our Tianyuan Apartment went bankrupt?"
Lin the Skinny suddenly asked.
Weiwei immediately realized that this was a very serious, difficult, and challenging question.
"But I, Miss Weiwei, always face problems head-on!" Weiwei thought to herself.
"Because...because...it's very simple, because the Fenghe Water Garden in front of you collapsed!"
Lin the Skinny sneered: "Is this your company's theoretical basis?"
Because Song Yu was standing next to Weiwei, she couldn't even give her a meaningful look, and could only watch helplessly as Weiwei was about to cause trouble again.
Why would she force herself to answer questions she didn't know? How foolish!
Song Yu regretted coming with her.
"This..."
Weiwei's eyes darted around, and she smacked her lips, saying, "Well, secrets of heaven cannot be revealed..."
Song Yu was overjoyed, thinking, "Thank goodness, what do you know? Don't bother explaining."
"However, since you're so eager to know—"
Weiwei's tone changed, and Song Yuxin felt a chill.
Weiwei spoke eloquently: "The reason Fenghe Water Garden collapsed was because of the river's 'reverse bow evil'. This evil energy is very powerful. It's like someone is aiming an arrow at you every day. You never know when, if you're not careful, whoosh—plop—an arrow will pierce your heart, and you're over."
Weiwei made a bow and arrow shooting posture, then pointed her finger at Lin Shouzi's chest.
Lin, the skinny man, instinctively flinched, muttering, "'Reverse Bow Sha' was already resolved by us...we resolved it long ago. Tianyuan Apartment is entirely blue, and the building is 'wood' shaped..."
Upon hearing this, Weiwei was surprised that Lin Shouzi knew this, which was quite remarkable! She had no choice but to add, "It's not bad that there's only the 'Reverse Bow Sha', but the worst part is that Tianyuan Apartment faces the 'Great Void'!"
Weiwei caught Lin Shouzi shudder. She became smug: "'Great Void,' you know? It's a famous ominous sign in the feng shui world. How did you guys end up with it? Tsk tsk."
Lin, the skinny man, took a deep breath, calmed down, and said, "Since your supervisor, Qiqi, sent you out, there must be a solution, right?"
“Of course…” Weiwei said casually, “There’s always a solution to everything in this world!”
Song Yu was desperate.
Lin, the skinny man, heard a glimmer of hope and said, "You two sit on the sofa for a moment, I'll go and report the situation to our General Manager Gao."
After saying that, he turned around and got on the elevator.
After the elevator doors closed, Song Yu couldn't hold back any longer: "Weiwei, will you die if you don't talk? Will you die if you don't brag? Even Supervisor Qi Qi couldn't solve this 'major crisis,' and you think you can cure it? You'll be making a name for yourself here, but don't drag me into it. I'm going back to eat my work lunch!"
Weiwei was taken aback. She had thought that Song Yu would help her, but unexpectedly, Song Yu wanted to distance herself and run away.
She slammed her hand on the sofa, her brows furrowed in a cold glare: "Song Yu, don't be ungrateful! I'm only doing this for our pride. If we just slink back like this... this is our first mission together as a couple!"
The usually taciturn Song Yu slapped the sofa without backing down: "Get this straight, it's you who wants to show off, not me! Don't you know that the key to the internship is to avoid mistakes rather than strive for merit? Don't cause any trouble later, or you'll be in deep trouble!"
Weiwei huffed and puffed, putting on an indifferent attitude.
Song Yu turned her head away and remained silent.
As soon as the elevator doors opened, Gao Jinze strode out.
Lin, the skinny guy, followed closely behind.
Upon seeing Weiwei in the distance, Gao Jinze felt uneasy and slowed his pace.
Song Yu got up to greet her, but Weiwei remained seated on the sofa—this sofa was indeed much more comfortable than the computer chair in her office. She had wanted to sit on it in the apartment lobby last time, but unfortunately, she hadn't had the chance.
"I thought your Supervisor Qiqi was here too."
Gao Jinze made no attempt to hide his disappointment and disgust towards Weiwei. Fortunately, Weiwei was naturally immune to other people's dislike.
"You live in this building?"
Weiwei asked curiously.
"Ah, I've been busy these past few days, so I'll be staying here temporarily."
After answering, Gao Jinze felt that he didn't need to answer her at all.
"Hmm..." Weiwei frowned, her face grave, and said with deep sympathy, "It's not easy. Knowing the building was going to collapse, they still dared to live there! They're a developer with a conscience and a sense of justice!"
Song Yu and Lin Shouzi were both stunned by Weiwei's words, not to mention Gao Jinze.
He regretted rushing downstairs without asking any questions after hearing that people from the Prophet Company had come. It was a shame to waste the congee with preserved egg and lean pork that he had just cooked himself—Shanghai was nothing like Guangzhou, where there were places to have morning tea everywhere. Gao Jinze was a very picky eater and attached great importance to breakfast, so he had to cook it himself.
As he went downstairs, he was still fantasizing about inviting Qiqi upstairs to drink the porridge he had just cooked—how heartwarming that would be! Unfortunately, this silly girl's antics had ruined his appetite. She's truly his nemesis, destined by God to prevent him from eating properly. Last time at Shuyou, she ruined his lunch...
His dissatisfaction was written all over his face: "Who said this building is going to collapse? The fact that I dare to live in it is proof that the building is safe!"
Song Yu secretly admired his boldness and shrewdness. Perhaps only in this way could the suspicions of the Tianyuan Apartment owners be quelled, and the media that were focusing on the building collapse could not stir up trouble, thus gaining a lot of sympathy.
At this moment, a large group of television reporters swarmed into the lobby of Building C of Tianyuan Apartment, and several Tianyuan Apartment owners followed behind a television reporter with wavy hair and a green silk dress, chattering incessantly.
Several security guards from Tianyuan Apartment tried to pull the residents away, but the cameras were constantly filming them, so they didn't dare to make any big movements. Verbal persuasion was of course ineffective and only added fuel to the fire.
Gao Jinze frowned and asked Lin Shouzi in a low voice, "Did I have an appointment with a reporter this morning?"
Lin, the skinny guy, was sweating and whispered, "No, these reporters from Oriental TV somehow barged in, especially the station's top host—Cai Yini! Don't mess with her, her sharp tongue can leave you speechless!"
Gao Jinze angrily said, "How many times have I told you not to let reporters in like this? You go and deal with them, and remember not to say anything out of line!"
After saying that, Gao Jinze turned around and hurriedly walked towards the elevator.
Lin, the skinny man, greeted Cai Yini with a warm smile. Just as they were about to exchange pleasantries, a resident next to Cai Yini suddenly shouted, "Reporter Cai, that person is Gao Jinze!"
"Mr. Gao!"
Cai Yini's voice was so light and melodious. It cut through the chaotic noise of the crowd and reached Gao Jinze's ears alone.
Just then, the elevator doors on the first floor opened.
Gao Jinze did not immediately step inside.
Can I ask you a question?
Cai Yini stepped forward.
Her voice became clearer and more pleasant as a result.
Gao Jinze slowly turned around.
Everyone crowded around Cai Yini.
For a moment, Gao Jinze thought that the girl in front of him was Jolin Tsai!
Two years ago, he met Jolin Tsai at a 60th birthday party for a major real estate developer in Hong Kong. Her song "Wild Game" was wild, unrestrained, and full of energy. Her dance skills and singing were impeccable, and he still remembers it vividly.
The female reporter in front of me, although not dressed in such an extravagant way, had a striking resemblance to Jolin Tsai in her wavy hair, wild eyes, large breasts, and slender waist.
What's more, their names are so similar!
Even sound.
The kind of sound that can penetrate surrounding noise without being very loud, reaching the depths of a person's heart directly through the eardrum.
The elevator doors on the first floor closed automatically because no one had entered for a long time.
"sure."
Gao Jinze smiled at Cai Yini in a friendly manner.
Then, he made a "please" gesture, pointing to the sofa where Weiwei and Song Yu were sitting.
Song Yu tactfully stood up.
In fact, he breathed a sigh of relief as soon as the TV crew came in. He could slip away in the chaos; Gao Jinze and Lin Shouzi were already too busy dealing with the reporters.
It will be good to go back and explain to Qiqi and Zhou Haisheng.
He couldn't pull Weiwei away; she remained seated on the sofa.
In fact, ever since Cai Yini came in from outside, Weiwei's eyes have been glued to her face, never leaving her for a moment.
Song Yu is from Shanghai, so of course she knows Cai Yini, the currently popular TV host.
He certainly enjoyed seeing her too, and he was very excited to meet her in person. However, he was too embarrassed to stare at her like Weiwei did.
Weiwei stood up.
Song Yu walked towards the door.
Weiwei didn't follow Song Yu, but instead—went straight to Cai Yini. Cai Yini, with a professional smile on her face, calmly walked to the sofa, ignoring Weiwei.
As they passed each other, Weiwei grabbed Cai Yini's hand holding the microphone with both hands!
"Today really is a lucky day for Capricorns. I wasn't wrong. Jolin Tsai, I love you so much! I can sing a few lines from all your songs!"
Gao Jinze, Lin Shouzi, security guard Xiao Wei, and the TV station's lighting technician all reached out their hands towards Weiwei at the same time.
Weiwei was completely unaware that the four hands on her back and arms couldn't pull her away at all.
"Give me your autograph. Also, I did a tarot reading; you and Edison Chen never slept together, and your zodiac signs aren't compatible either—one of you is a Libra, and the other a Virgo..."
Weiwei swayed violently, shaking off Gao Jinze and Lin Shouzi's hands, and said to Cai Yini with a flushed face, "Idol, please give me an autograph, I will always support you!"
Five seconds later, Weiwei was still taken away by security guard Xiaowei.
Tsai Yini, unfazed, said gracefully, "Little sister, I'm not Jolin Tsai, but you don't need to be disappointed. I think that apart from fame, I'm no worse than her in any way."
