As Master Ouyang got up to leave, Su Yuyin helped him to the door.

"Father, may you rest in peace!"

"Hmm!" Fortunately, he didn't choose the wrong person for this girl. If he had given her to the third brother, wouldn't that have ruined her life?

As night fell, a dark figure sneaked into the bedroom behind the Plum Residence. Su Yuyin opened her eyes alertly:

"who?"

"It's me, Ouyang Tianyu," he said in a low voice.

By the moonlight, she saw a man standing in front of the bed. From his familiar scent, she knew it was Tianyu.

"Why are you still here? Weren't you leaving?" she asked.

"I'm leaving to investigate a case in Yangzhou."

“You have plenty of reasons to leave. You could say you’re going to Yangzhou for sightseeing. Why go through all this trouble to put on an act?” This is the one thing Su Yuyin just doesn’t understand.

"You're right. It just so happened that someone needed to be arrested that day, so I had to act out this scene with Yixuan. Later, I just went along with it and used this excuse to leave the capital." Acting is exhausting, and he didn't want to either!

"Yixuan?" She guessed right. "You really are close to him. Is he your friend?"

"Yes." It's the same as using one identity to cover up another.

It was all planned out of the blue. If Ouyang Tianyun knew all this, he would be furious. "If your older brother finds out that this was all a setup, he won't let you get away with it!"

Ouyang Tianyun left the bedroom and went to the backyard to practice his sword. Every day at this time, he would see his wife, Su Yuyin. "Young Master!" The maid who was sweeping the floor was startled when she saw Ouyang Tianyun and quickly called out, wondering why the young master, who had never been to the backyard before, would be here.

"Huh?" Ouyang Tianyun snapped out of his daze and realized he was already in the backyard. "What's wrong, young mistress? Are you sick?"

The eldest young mistress is ill?! I haven't heard anything about that. "Young master, I didn't know."

"What? You don't know? How do you serve the young mistress?" Ouyang Tianyun shouted angrily, his voice suddenly rising. He shoved aside the servants blocking his way and strode into the house, nearly bumping into Xiao Fei, who was carrying a full basin of water.

"Ah!" Xiao Fei screamed, just as the water was about to splash onto Ouyang Tianyun...

He deftly dodged aside, not letting a drop of water splash on him, and headed straight for the inner room.

Su Yuyin was awakened by the noise outside. She rubbed her eyes and glanced outside. Sunlight was already streaming into the room, so it seemed she had slept in late today.

Tianyu should have left the city by now. She couldn't sleep last night after he left, thinking about many things. Her parents, colleagues, and friends must be heartbroken because of her death. She suddenly realized that Tianyu had made himself so infamous that everyone wished he would disappear as soon as possible. If he really died one day, at least her family would have one less thing to grieve for.

The Ouyang family will probably never know what Tianyu did for them...

As she was meditating with her eyes closed, a large hand touched her forehead. She suddenly opened her eyes and jumped up reflexively. When she saw who it was, she breathed a sigh of relief and glared at him unhappily. You have to knock before entering someone else's room! Does he have no manners at all?

"What are you doing? You ran into someone's room without a word, you scared me to death!"

"I didn't see you when I was practicing my sword today, so I thought you were sick and came to check on you." Ouyang Tianyun withdrew his hand, relieved to see that she didn't have a fever. "Didn't you sleep well last night?"
