Nightmare - Chapter 5

Chapter 5

Upon hearing this, Fu Xiuying immediately became excited: "That's right, that's right, you know that Guanyin appeared to me in a dream?"

Qin Fangcheng thought to himself, "How would I know if Guanyin appeared to you in a dream? It seems this woman is a bit complicated. It's better to make things clear as soon as possible." With that thought, he said, "Sister-in-law, I'm really not your husband. I have a girlfriend, and we're getting married soon. My name is Qin Fangcheng, and it's written on my ID card. You can check it if you don't believe me."

Just then, Erniu tumbled in, saying, "Mom, Mom, I want candy." Fu Xiuying didn't even look up and just said, "Go ask your dad for money to buy it." Erniu immediately ran over to Qin Fangcheng and stretched out a dirty little hand, saying, "Dad, give me fifty cents, I want to buy candy."

"Five cents?" Qin Fangcheng blinked, feeling a mix of amusement and exasperation. He had never used such a small unit of currency in all these years. Looking into the child's pleading eyes, his heart softened, and he said, "Sweetie, put your hand in Uncle's pocket and take out Uncle's wallet."

Erniu agreed and was about to reach out when Fu Xiuying suddenly shouted, "Erniu, don't move! If he doesn't acknowledge you as his father, we won't spend his money!"

Erniu was indeed very obedient to her mother. With a long face and her little dirty hand hanging down in disappointment, she shuffled out the door. Qin Fangcheng couldn't bear to watch any longer and said, "Sister-in-law, why are you doing this? How much does it cost for a child to eat a piece of candy? Give me my wallet."

Fu Xiuying thought for a moment, then walked to Qin Fangcheng's side, reached into his pocket, and took out her wallet. Qin Fangcheng seized the opportunity and said, "Sister-in-law, there's three thousand yuan in this wallet. You saved my life, so consider this money my reward. Could you please make a call and have my friend take me to the hospital? The phone number is..."

Before he could finish speaking, Fu Xiuying pulled a photo out of her money and shoved it in his face with a furious expression: "Tell me, who is this vixen?"

6)

Seeing Fu Xiuying's furious face, Qin Fangcheng was stunned for a moment, then said, "She is my girlfriend Lin Hong, sister-in-law, please listen to me..."

Fu Xiuying ignored him completely, tore Lin Hong's photo to shreds in a few swift movements, and then lay on the bed sobbing: "You heartless wretch, you gave birth to so many children and you didn't care about them, but you had money to raise a vixen. Are you even human? How can you face Guanyin?"

Qin Fangcheng shook his head and sighed helplessly, knowing that this was troublesome. The woman in front of him was clearly obsessed with her husband and had gone mad. She wouldn't let go of any man she had her hands on. The only thing he could do now was to pretend to agree to her request and then find a way to get out of the situation. But he really couldn't bring himself to call this woman his wife right now, so he could only keep quiet and wait for an opportunity.

At lunchtime, the children squatted or stood around an iron pot, making loud noises about what they were eating, but the air was filled with a sour and foul smell. Qin Fangcheng couldn't help but sigh, feeling sorry for these children, living with such a crazy mother and having to eat this kind of pig and dog food every day. It was truly pitiful.

Qin Fangcheng prided himself on his intelligence, but he had truly misjudged Fu Xiuying. This woman was merely foolish and superstitious, clinging to the dream Guanyin had given her. She was perfectly shrewd, in fact, extremely intelligent. She had gone to such great lengths to bring this man home; how could she let Qin Fangcheng simply say he wasn't the father of her children? She had already planned it all out: this man was irrelevant, but her daughters absolutely could not lose their father again.

At lunchtime, no one paid any attention to Qin Fangcheng. At first, Qin Fangcheng didn't mind, since he couldn't eat that kind of sour and smelly food anyway. But by evening, he finally realized something was wrong.

At dinner that evening, Fu Xiuying and her daughters ate around an iron pot. Qin Fangcheng felt extremely hungry and kept swallowing. The sour smell in the air now smelled delicious. He was too embarrassed to ask for food, so he mustered his courage and said to the child closest to him, "Sweetie, come here and get me a glass of water. I'll give you money."

Unexpectedly, the little boy, whose face was so dirty that you couldn't even make out his features, grinned at him and said, "Mommy said that if you don't acknowledge me as your dad, I won't talk to you."

Qin Fangcheng rolled his eyes for a long time, but in the end he didn't have the courage to admit that he was the children's father. So, he didn't eat or drink anything that day.

Qin Fangcheng endured until the following evening, his vision blurring from hunger, his wounds itchy and painful, causing him to groan incessantly. Fu Xiuying, however, pretended not to hear, continuing to chew loudly with the children as usual. Qin Fangcheng, having no other choice, could only comply, calling out in a trembling voice, "Child...his mother."

Fu Xiuying walked over with a smug look in her eyes, chewing something in her mouth: "Honey, did you call me for something?"

At this moment, Qin Fangcheng was truly on the verge of tears. His chapped lips trembled as he said, "Honey, give me some water. I'm dying of thirst."

Fu Xiuying turned her head and called out, "Da Niu, bring me a bowl of water."

Da Niu agreed and came over with a large, rough porcelain bowl, its rim chipped, filled with water. Fu Xiuying took the water, lifted Qin Fangcheng's head with one hand, and brought the rim of the bowl close to his mouth. Smelling the fresh scent of the water, Qin Fangcheng's stomach rumbled loudly. He eagerly leaned forward, his lips just about to touch the rim of the bowl, when Fu Xiuying flicked her wrist, and the bowl of water spilled onto the ground with a splash.

Then Fu Xiuying called out, "Da Niu, take the bowl back. Your dad has finished drinking."

Da Niu came over and took the bowl away. Qin Fangcheng was furious, but dared not utter a sound, for fear of provoking this female devil and having her come up with even more vicious ways to torment him.

On the fourth day of hunger, Qin Fangcheng's mind was in complete chaos. The feeling of hunger and thirst was a terrifying torment. A person's will can be lost due to the decline in physical strength. Not only has the consciousness of resistance disappeared, but even submission has become a survival instinct. Now, let alone asking him to be the father of several children, he wouldn't object to being the son, provided that he is given water and food.

Fu Xiuying's thoughts were quite simple: since Qin Fangcheng was unwilling to be her husband and the father of five children, Fu Xiuying had no reason to support him. So she cut off Qin Fangcheng's food and water. Poor Qin Fangcheng, seriously injured and unable to move in bed, coupled with days of hunger and thirst, completely broke down and suddenly became the father of five children.

Qin Fangcheng becoming the father of five children was merely a temporary measure to survive, and it didn't count at all. Fu Xiuying was equally clear about this, so she still refused to feed him, starving him for four days straight. By the fourth day, his strength had reached its limit, and he couldn't hold on any longer. He asked Fu Xiuying, "Honey, you're too cruel! I'm already this sick, and you still won't let me go. If I really starve to death, what will happen to our children?"

When he said this, he was really afraid that Fu Xiuying would take it seriously and force him to become husband and wife immediately. This trashy woman was so dirty that you couldn't even tell the color of her skin. If that were the case, he would rather starve to death than agree to it.

Since bringing Qin Fangcheng home, Fu Xiuying hadn't gone out to collect garbage again. She sat at home every day, watching the man and listening to his pleas. She coldly smiled, "You still care about these children? If you care about them, why don't you offer to pay for their upbringing? You have money to keep a little vixen outside, humph. Tell me the truth, how long have you been with that little vixen named Lin Hong?" A foolish yet shrewd woman is difficult to deal with, especially one like Qin Fangcheng who is powerless to resist. Fu Xiuying wasn't in a hurry to marry him; he couldn't run away anyway. She only worried about one thing: her children's father's heart wasn't at home. Until she resolved the issue of that little vixen Lin Hong, she would rather let her children's father die of thirst and starvation than back down an inch.

To save his life, Qin Fangcheng disregarded everything and confessed to his shameful affair with the vixen Lin Hong. After he finished speaking, he felt an indescribable regret. He hoped that this crazy woman wouldn't come after Lin Hong; if that happened, things would get really messed up.

However, Fu Xiuying's thinking was completely wifely. She figured that the reason her husband was able to hook up with that vixen was because he had some money that he hadn't handed over to the family. If she confiscated all the money her husband had hidden, that vixen would probably never look at her husband again, and the family would be safe and sound from then on.

“Honey, it’s not that I’m not letting you eat or drink. How could I do something so cruel?” While gently wiping the cold sweat from Qin Fangcheng’s forehead, Fu Xiuying said softly, “I’m angry that you don’t do any housework. Although it’s said that men are responsible for external affairs and women for internal affairs, you don’t contribute a single penny to the household. How can these children grow up on air?”

"Pay money?" Qin Fangcheng seemed to come to his senses a little: "Yes, yes, you're right, honey. I'm such a bad person, how could I forget something so important? How much should I pay?"

“You’re the child’s father, how much do you think we should pay?” Fu Xiuying asked softly.

7)

Qin Fangcheng was speechless for a long time at Fu Xiuying's question. At this moment, he couldn't help but admire the wisdom of this country woman. She had clearly taken him hostage, yet she hadn't mentioned any extortion, forcing him to hand over all his possessions. But his most important thing right now was survival; money was secondary. He immediately nodded and said:

"Honey, I'll do as you say. I was wrong before. From now on, I'll listen to you in everything, whether it's at home or outside."

Hearing that the children's father was willing to hand over all his income to the family to support the family and their five daughters, Fu Xiuying's expression immediately brightened. She even said understandingly, "It's a man's ability to earn a lot of money. If you're willing to use it all to raise the children, I have nothing to say. But it's no use just talking. Do you think that little vixen will let you go?"

"Yes, definitely." Qin Fangcheng nodded hurriedly: "I'm penniless now. Besides my wife, who else would even glance at me?"

"That's not entirely true." Fu Xiuying, however, was full of schemes and tricks, leading Qin Fangcheng step by step into the trap she had set: "With that vixen seducing you, you can take half the word you said and there's still a lot of embellishment left. In my opinion, since you're willing to raise the children, I won't say anything more. As long as you pay for their food and can afford to feed and clothe them, you can do whatever you want. Even if you go back to that vixen, I promise I won't stop you."

"Food expenses?" Qin Fangcheng looked at the simple-minded country woman, his mind becoming increasingly confused: "Then how much should I pay each month?"

"Well, you have to let me calculate it." Fu Xiuying picked up a piece of scrap paper and solemnly lay down on the bed to start calculating. This woman was really selfless. She calculated and calculated the food, clothing, housing and transportation of her five daughters, but she didn't include anything for herself. When she finally finished calculating the accounts, Qin Fangcheng could only see a blur of tears in his eyes.

Fu Xiuying's final calculation was that her husband had to pay 100 yuan for every sip of water he drank from the house and 20,000 yuan for every steamed bun he ate.

Fu Xiuying reasoned that the only reason this man still harbored feelings for that vixen named Lin Hong was because he had some money. She wanted to seize this opportunity to control the money and see how he could afford to support her. Qin Fangcheng, however, didn't understand Fu Xiuying's dedication to the family; he only thought the food was ridiculously expensive. He tried to bargain, but Fu Xiuying ignored him. Finally, Qin Fangcheng resigned himself to his fate and agreed to his wife's demands without hesitation. He closed his eyes, handed over his dormitory key, revealed the location and password of his bankbook, and demanded that Fu Xiuying withdraw all his money in exchange for his freedom.

Fu Xiuying went to Qin Fangcheng's dormitory with a clear conscience, took out his savings book, withdrew tens of thousands of yuan from the bank, first took her five daughters to take a bath, then took them to the mall to change each into a new outfit. Although Fu Xiuying wasn't good at dressing up, the five children were clean and tidy, and seeing them made her feel incredibly loving. Then, she led Fu Xiuying and the children to Qin Fangcheng's bedside, calling out "Daddy" to Qin Fangcheng so he could see them. When Qin Fangcheng opened his eyes and saw his five little angels, his mood instantly brightened.

Fu Xiuying also tidied herself up, hoping that Qin Fangcheng would take a second look at her, but Qin Fangcheng was only thinking about how to leave this place and had no interest in that at all.

Two weeks passed, and Qin Fangcheng was covered in lice. The itching was so intense that this grown man was on the verge of tears. His beloved daughter, San Niu, who was as dirty as a mud monkey, was the closest to her father and the most obedient. Every day, she would use her little hands, which were never clean, to scratch Qin Fangcheng's back. The more Qin Fangcheng looked at this child, the more affectionate he felt. He thought that if he escaped, he would definitely take this good daughter with him.

Escaping was not so easy. Qin Fangcheng's injuries were not serious to begin with, but Fu Xiuying smeared them with straw rope ash and then tied them with a dirty cloth, causing all his wounds to become inflamed and oozing pus. He lay in bed for two weeks, but instead of improving, his condition worsened.

When a person is bedridden and unable to move, nothing is more painful than excretion. Qin Fangcheng had been starving for several days, his digestive system was hyperactive, and he urinated and defecated frequently. Fu Xiuying, however, never complained and took care of him, cleaning up his excrement and urine. Qin Fangcheng truly didn't know whether he should hate this woman or thank her.

Under Fu Xiuying's care, Qin Fangcheng's injuries, after several relapses, finally began to scab over. A few days later, he was able to sit up, and he only needed his leg injury to heal further before he could walk. He remained calm, still pretending to be severely injured, with Fu Xiuying attending to all his needs, from eating and drinking to using the toilet.

As his injuries healed, his mood improved. That day, San Niu was scratching his back as usual. He half-closed his eyes, enjoying the sight of his sweet daughter's adorable little hand, as cute as a cat's paw. He casually said, "San Niu, when Daddy's healed, I'll take you to McDonald's. Have you ever had it before?" San Niu scratched him while replying, "No, I haven't. What's McDonald's?" Qin Fangcheng told his daughter, "McDonald's is American fast food. You can come with Daddy from now on, and Daddy will make sure you eat delicious food every day."

As they were talking, Qin Fangcheng sat up casually and started gesturing at San Niu. Suddenly, he noticed that San Niu was looking at him strangely. He was startled, realizing that the little one had seen through his act of pretending not to get out of bed. He was about to say a few more nice words to coax the child back to sleep when San Niu suddenly turned around and ran out.

Qin Fangcheng panicked and hurriedly lay down again, pretending to be unable to move. After lying down, he realized that he could no longer hide his true intentions and should get up and think of a way to escape. He managed to get off the bed with his hands supporting him on the bed board, but his legs wouldn't obey him. He twisted left and right and fell off the bed.

The door suddenly opened, and Fu Xiuying stood in the doorway with a gentle expression: "Honey, are you alright?"

Qin Fangcheng scratched his ear awkwardly: "This... still won't work, my legs are too weak to stand up."

Fu Xiuying came over and said, "Look at you, how can you get down without someone helping you? What if you fall and get seriously injured? What will I and the children do then?"

"Yes, yes," Qin Fangcheng thought to himself, "Do whatever you want, it's none of my business." But he didn't dare to show it out loud and just kept agreeing with Fu Xiuying.

"Listen to me, go back to bed and get better. Getting better is the most important thing." Fu Xiuying helped him up and gently laid him back down on the bed. She spoke to him softly, "Don't rush, honey. We'll go back to the village in a couple of days. I've already bought a house and paid the fines for the kids. Now no one will dare to bother us. When we get home, let Da Niu and Er Niu help you walk slowly, okay?"

"Go back to the village?" Qin Fangcheng felt his scalp tingling and hurriedly pleaded, "There's no need to go back to the village. I think it's fine for us to stay here. Besides, I still have business to do at my company. Going back to the village would just cause a lot of trouble."

“If that’s how you put it, I can’t force you.” Fu Xiuying’s expression changed, and she turned her head and called out, “Erniu, bring me the claw hammer that your father used to use.”

Erniu agreed and ran to the corner of the trash to find a hammer. She handed it to Fu Xiuying. Qin Fangcheng looked at the hammer with suspicion: "Honey, why are you looking for a hammer?"

"Honey, why are you wearing socks again? It's so hot, they must be stuffy!" Fu Xiuying ignored Qin Fangcheng's question, grabbed his left ankle, pulled the sock off, and threw it on the ground. "Erniu, go wash your dad's socks." Erniu agreed, pinched her nose with one hand, and went out with Qin Fangcheng's socks. Meanwhile, Fu Xiuying raised a claw hammer and smashed it down on the protruding wrist bone on Qin Fangcheng's ankle.

Qin Fangcheng screamed, his body leaping up violently like a fish that had fallen onto the shore, only to fall heavily back down.

8)

Injuring Qin Fangcheng's ankle and forcing him to remain in bed was a desperate measure for Fu Xiuying.

This woman knew perfectly well that the child's father was utterly unreliable. Despite his current smiling and obedient demeanor, more compliant than her own son, he would surely run off to his womanizing city vixen, Lin Hong, the moment he was laid down. So she decided to go all in and make him stay in bed, at least then the children would have a father.

With that hammer blow, Qin Fangcheng felt an intense hatred for this woman. This move was utterly vicious, completely shattering his hopes. If he were to be crippled for life because of it, he would kill this worthless woman sooner or later. Filled with resentment, he refused to say another word to Fu Xiuying. It was pointless anyway. He lay in bed with his eyes closed every day, ignoring Fu Xiuying's apologies and attempts to appease him.

But Qin Fangcheng hated San Niu the most, that little girl who was only four years old. If it weren't for this little thing running off to warn her mother, Qin Fangcheng would never have suffered such a terrible fate. He had treated this child so well, like his own daughter, even thinking of adopting her, sending her to kindergarten, school, and university. But she wasn't his own child; he couldn't truly love her. Qin Fangcheng gritted his teeth in hatred, scaring San Niu into staying away.

But San Niu was still just a child and didn't understand what had happened. She only knew that her father was angry with her and didn't want her anymore. She cried and cried until she was tired and then chased after her older sisters to play, putting the matter aside.

As darkness fell, Sanniu, covered in mud like a little monkey, ran happily back inside, beaming, and shoved her dirty little hands into her father's arms. She had already forgotten about his anger and even wanted to scratch his back. Qin Fangcheng, already seething with rage, saw this filthy little thing coming to join in again, and his anger flared. He yelled at the child, "Get out!"

The sudden shout startled San Niu, who was caught off guard and in the middle of her happy day. She trembled violently at the sound of the roar, and when she saw her father's hideous face, she burst into tears of fear and terror.

Seeing this, Fu Xiuying hurriedly came over and took San Niu away, while also scolding Qin Fangcheng: "Look at you, you're such a big person, why are you scaring the child?"

Qin Fangcheng pretended not to hear and continued to lie in bed sulking.

Unexpectedly, San Niu's father's fright caused her to suddenly develop a high fever in the middle of the night. Her face was flushed red, and she was panting heavily, her nostrils flaring from the rapid airflow. Fu Xiuying was awakened by her child's panting in the middle of the night. She hurriedly turned on the light and panicked when she saw the situation. She pushed Qin Fangcheng forcefully, saying, "Honey, honey, San Niu is sick! Get up and take a look! Think of something!"

"What the hell am I supposed to do?" Qin Fangcheng cursed irritably. "You might as well just smash me to death with a hammer. It would be a terrible thing if I died at the hands of a piece of trash like you!"

Fu Xiuying was a traditional woman who was used to enduring men's beatings and scoldings. When she heard Qin Fangcheng's roar, she was not angry at all, but dared not utter a sound. Seeing that Sanniu was seriously ill, she thought that it was probably because her father's roar at night had scared her soul away. She didn't even bother to put on her shoes and got out of bed to call back the child's soul.

After Qin Fangcheng finished cursing, he was a little scared. He was worried that the old woman might get angry and smash a hammer on his head to fulfill his wish. But after waiting for a while, he didn't see anything. He secretly opened his eyes and was very surprised.

Fu Xiuying was squatting on the ground wearing only a vest and shorts. In front of her was a large, rough porcelain bowl. She held a box of matches in her hand, struck one, and quickly spun the flame around the rim of the bowl while muttering incantations. Qin Fangcheng watched for a while before finally asking out of curiosity, "Why are you doing this instead of telling me to take the child to the hospital?"

Fu Xiuying shushed him, preventing him from making a sound, and continued mechanically striking matches until all the matches in the box were used up. Then she stood up, walked to the bedside, and touched San Niu's forehead: "The fever seems to have gone down a bit." Not sure herself, she picked up San Niu and brought her close to Qin Fangcheng: "Honey, feel it and see if San Niu's fever has gone down a bit."

Qin Fangcheng quickly withdrew his hand: "Do you even need to touch it? What does striking a match have to do with the child's fever? Hurry up and take the child to the hospital to get a shot of Xiaochaihu to reduce the fever."

Fu Xiuying remained silent, put Sanniu down, and rummaged around on the bed, eventually finding a box of matches. She squatted back down and continued striking matches. Watching this utterly ignorant peasant woman's bizarre behavior, Qin Fangcheng sighed inwardly, feeling utterly worthless. He, a civilized man with a modern education, was being tormented by such an ignorant village woman, to the point of wishing for death. He sighed again, twisting Sanniu's flushed face, and couldn't help but touch it. The burning heat on her forehead startled him so much he almost sat up again.

"Honey, stop pretending and take the baby to the hospital right now. You'll regret it for the rest of your life if you delay."

Fu Xiuying stared blankly at a matchstick for a long time before finally saying, "Honey, we're out of money."

"No money?" Qin Fangcheng exclaimed in surprise, "I have more than 300,000 yuan in my savings account, how could I be out of money? You should take the child to the hospital quickly. The amount of money spent is a small matter, but the child's illness is a big deal."

Fu Xiuying sighed softly, "Honey, we really don't have any money left. You have over 300,000 yuan, which is a lot, but think about it: the money for the house, the land for the homestead, the fines for having five children—we still owe them tens of thousands of yuan."

Qin Fangcheng blinked and blurted out, "Damn it, did I owe you something in my past life? You spent over 300,000 yuan in one go. Do you even know that this 300,000 yuan is money I worked hard for over several years to earn? You spent it like water. I'm really impressed by you."

Fu Xiuying squatted on the ground, wiped away her tears, and began to sob softly. Qin Fangcheng really didn't want to deal with this shrew anymore, but listening to San Niu's increasingly heavy breathing beside him, he knew that if the child's fever continued, she would go into convulsions, ultimately delaying the child's treatment. Thinking of the child's tenderness when she scratched his itch and called him "Daddy," he finally resigned himself to his fate and sighed deeply.

"Alright, alright, stop crying, you son of a bitch. Take my dorm key and go to my house. I have a savings book with 200,000 yuan hidden in the closet. It's for paying off debts. Hurry up and take some money out of there to get the child treated. This little devil, you've really gone too far for your father."

Fu Xiuying was secretly delighted, thinking that she had indeed squeezed out this guy's money. Now she wondered how he would use it to support his little vixen. After her initial delight, her brows furrowed again: "It's so late, the banks are all closed. Where are we going to withdraw money?"

Qin Fangcheng was furious: "Why don't you pawn your bankbook at the hospital and beg them to treat the child first? Huh?"

The next day, Fu Xiuying left her eldest daughter at the hospital to look after her youngest daughter while she went to the bank to withdraw money. However, her rustic attire aroused the suspicion of the bank staff, who told her the account holder should come and collect the money themselves. Fu Xiuying was indignant and started causing a scene in the bank. Security guards intervened, taking her to the guardhouse. After questioning her briefly and realizing the situation was escalating, they called the police. Police officers intervened and rescued Qin Fangcheng, who had been imprisoned for over a month, from a shack near the ruins of the International Exhibition Center building.

9)

Hearing this strange situation, Lin Hong was completely taken aback. She turned to look at He Ming, who was also trying not to laugh. The two drove to the hospital. As soon as they entered the ward, they saw three girls clinging to a man with a stubble beard, unkempt hair, and a dark, thin face, weeping. Lin Hong carefully examined him for a long time before finally confirming that the man was indeed Qin Fangcheng.

Faced with this strange turn of events, Qin Fangcheng was utterly speechless with despair. His disheveled appearance left Lin Hong dumbfounded, unsure of what to say for a long while.

Qin Fangcheng was entangled with his five daughters, who clung to his legs every day, crying and calling him "Daddy," begging him to live with their mother and not abandon them to be bullied. In fact, after a month of spending time together, Qin Fangcheng genuinely liked the five children, but that didn't mean he had to go back to the shantytown to scavenge for garbage with Fu Xiuying. Moreover, the memory of Fu Xiuying hitting his ankle with a claw hammer had left a deep impression on him; the mere thought of her terrified him.

All he could do for his five children was to reluctantly stop pursuing legal action against Fu Xiuying, so that the children wouldn't lose their mother. As for the hundreds of thousands of yuan, he could only pretend he had never earned it.

To escape the harassment of Fu Xiuying's five daughters, Qin Fangcheng left Taizhou without even saying goodbye, and remained gone for half a year. When he returned to Taizhou six months later, everything had changed.

Six months later, Qin Fangcheng returned to Taizhou. The relationship between Lin Hong and He Ming was irreversible, and he was speechless with sadness. He was already grateful that Fu Xiuying and her five daughters didn't bother him; he had no desire to fight with He Ming anymore. However, Lin Hong's final choice unexpectedly displeased another person.

This person's name is Zhao Zhuo, and he was a classmate of Lin Hong and Qin Fangcheng in middle school.
