Chapter 48

"Stop making a scene?"

"I didn't make a scene."

"Who's crying so loudly?"

Who is it?

"Are you cheating?"

"As you say, sir, what cannot be seen does not count."

When did I ever say that?

"I did say that."

"when?"

"I did say that." As she spoke, she rubbed her face against his chest, wiping her face clean.

Long Er was aroused by her rubbing against him and aroused by her little rascal behavior, so he took her hand and pressed it against his hot, hard spot.

Ju Mu'er screamed in fright. She tried to pull her hand away, but Long Er held it down forcefully. "Long Ju Shi, you can't just set the fire and run away."

Ju Mu'er realized what was happening, her face turning bright red. Yet, her heart was overflowing with joy. Her Second Master Long still had feelings for her; he liked touching her, and he liked being touched by her.

This filled her with confidence as a wife. Nothing could be more fulfilling for Ju Mu'er than her husband needing her. The coldness of last night had completely vanished, and Long Er's fiery passion and eagerness filled her with joy.

Although she was too shy to look up, and although she felt her face burning hot, she still bravely took the initiative to touch him.

Long Er was aroused by her touch and couldn't resist pulling her close and kissing her deeply.

Ju Mu'er responded to him enthusiastically, but while she could attend to her upper body, she couldn't attend to her lower body. Dissatisfied, Second Master Long took her hand again and whispered near her lips, "Don't stop."

She touched him earnestly and diligently. Her touch was awkward, but bold.

Long Er had never seen Mu'er like this before, and he seemed to have never felt such intense emotions before—soft, tender, and passionate, like water enveloping him, like fire burning him. He suddenly felt that it wasn't just a part of him that was in her hands. It was his entire being, held in her hands.

He could no longer restrain himself and suddenly dragged her into the bathtub. The two were entangled together, separated by the tub wall, and the drag caused them both to trip.

Long Er fell into the tub with a thud, pulling Ju Mu'er down with him. A splash of water erupted.

Ju Mu'er scrambled to her feet in a panic. Her clothes were completely soaked, and her hair was plastered to the back of her head and her cheeks with water. The bewildered and helpless expression on her face had not yet faded, and coupled with her disheveled appearance, it made Long Er burst into laughter.

Ju Mu'er was feeling shy and hot when she was suddenly pulled into the bathtub and almost drowned. She choked on the water twice and before she could understand what was happening, she heard Long Er laughing. She immediately became angry. Since she was in complete darkness, she rushed towards the direction of his laughter without thinking.

Long Er's laughter caught in his throat. Afraid that she might bump into something, he quickly opened his arms to catch her, but she came on strong, landing like a tiger, and pushed him down into the tub.

Long Er choked on several mouthfuls of water. He instinctively pushed himself up and sat up. Now he looked just like his wife, his head and face covered in water. The only difference was that he was gritting his teeth, while his wife looked completely innocent.

"Husband." Ju Mu'er really didn't know what was wrong with Long Er. She just lunged at him and then felt him sink.

"Husband." Ju Mu'er called again, but no one answered, so she reached out to grab him. She touched him and quickly hugged him. "Husband." Why did she get such a big bathtub? It's not like we're going swimming. It's so hard to find someone here, especially for a blind person.

Ryuji ignored her and instead pulled her into his arms and kissed her deeply.

His wife is getting increasingly irritated.

He kissed her and reached out to tear open her wet clothes. The rough action startled Ju Mu'er, causing her to tremble. Long Er soothed her by stroking her back, and his kiss became gentle and lingering.

Ju Mu'er relaxed, and Long Er pecked at her eyebrows and eyes with satisfaction before stripping her naked.

Ju Mu'er blushed and leaned against him. He kissed her and caressed her, and she responded passionately. Remembering the coldness of last night, she reached down and grasped his hand.

Long Er gasped. He covered her hand and guided it. Ju Mu'er blushed and her heart pounded; she felt as if the water in the bucket was about to boil.

The next moment, he suddenly turned her around and made her climb onto the edge of the tub with both hands.

"Husband?" Ju Mu'er was a little flustered. "Let's go back to bed."

"You're all soaked, how can we sleep in this mess?" Long Er bit her shoulder, feeling quite pleased as she flinched from the tickle. He wouldn't go back to bed; this place was perfect for teasing his wife.

Ju Mu'er didn't know how to answer; soiling the bed seemed inappropriate. But that wasn't the main reason she couldn't answer. Her mind was blank, overheating. That familiar force had already filled her.

Ju Mu'er cried out "Ah!" and gripped the edge of the bucket tightly with both hands. This half-squatting, backward-leaning posture was quite strenuous, but Long Er behind her seemed to enjoy it quite a bit, even more excited than usual.

Ju Mu'er bit her lip, but gradually couldn't hold back and finally let out a soft moan.

Hearing her own voice, she felt both shy and embarrassed, and simply rested her arm on the edge of the tub, burying her head to hide. This made Long Er laugh uncontrollably. Ju Mu'er blushed and scratched him with her hand, only to be met with a retaliatory, forceful blow.

She cried out and lay obediently, no longer daring to provoke him. Long Er chuckled again and turned her face to kiss him.

The water gradually cooled, but Ju Mu'er didn't feel cold. Long Er held her tightly, his embrace so warm it felt like it would melt her.

Water splashed everywhere, the sound of rushing water never ceasing. Ju Mu'er listened, feeling her body rise and fall with the sound. Behind her was Long Er's heavy breathing, and a powerful storm was raging through her body, washing over her senses. Ju Mu'er opened her mouth, tensed her body, and in the final moment of climax, she instinctively buried her face in her arms, silencing her sobs.

After a long while, she finally recovered. Long Er took a towel and wiped them both clean, then carried her back to bed. Only then did she begin to feel her legs trembling, probably because she had been squatting for too long. The first thought that came to her mind was how fortunate she was to have practiced horse stance for a while.

The thought made her blush. She really wanted to bury herself in the blanket, but after groping around for a while, she couldn't find it. In the end, Long Er wrapped her up in his arms, and then they were wrapped together in the blanket.

"So you were right beforehand. Your horse stance is excellent." Long Er's words made Ju Mu'er blush. Was he a mind reader or something?

She secretly pinched his waist, and he slapped her bottom. She tickled his calf with her toes, and he clamped her foot between his legs.

The two didn't speak, but just playfully teased each other with small gestures. Finally, Ju Mu'er finished teasing and yawned.

Seeing that she was about to sleep, Long Er began to instruct her: "I have to go out again tomorrow, so don't overthink things."

Ju Mu'er nodded, hugged his arm, and began to find a comfortable position to go to sleep.

Long Er added, "Teach Bao'er to play the zither when you have some free time tomorrow. It's good that you have something to do."

Ju Mu'er hummed in agreement.

Long Er continued, "I have solved Shi Boyin's case today. The Shi family's dinner was poisoned, as was their tea. The poison took effect some time ago, and by the time everyone realized it, it was too late. A servant had diarrhea that day and did not eat, so he escaped. He was the one who discovered the situation and secretly sneaked out of the mansion to report it to the authorities. The prefect sent constables and yamen runners to the scene, only to find that the Shi family's music room was on fire, and Shi Boyin was frantically trying to escape from there when he was caught red-handed."

Ju Mu'er's drowsiness dissipated by half, and she listened quietly.

"The constables said that when Minister Shi collapsed in the music room, he was still breathing. Before he died, he pointed at Shi Boyin, but unfortunately, he couldn't speak. Later, the constables found poison in Shi Boyin's guest room, which matched the poison found in the Shi family's home. Because this case involved a high-ranking official and was of great importance, it was transferred to the Ministry of Justice. Based on the testimonies of the Shi family's servants, the situation at the scene, and various pieces of evidence, the Ministry of Justice investigated for two months, carefully examining all the clues. It was only after the Emperor's personal approval that Shi Boyin was convicted."

Long Er paused for a moment and said, "The result of my investigation today is that, based on the case files and the investigation, there are no problems with this case. Except for what you said, that Shi Boyin received the Emperor's permission to play a piece before his execution, and he used this opportunity to play the so-called 'pleading for justice' for the musicians."

Long Er paused here, and Ju Mu'er asked, "Husband, do you want to confirm today whether my speculation is reasonable?"

“No.” Long Er stroked her hair and replied, “I met with those people today to make sure you weren’t involved in this.”

Ju Mu'er fell silent, her heart overflowing with indescribable emotions.

She hugged him tightly, resting her head on his chest, and heard his heartbeat, "thump, thump, thump," steady and strong.

"Don't think about it anymore." Long Er kissed the top of her head. "Everyone who is not guilty will plead their case. It's just that Shi Boyin has skills that you admire and used methods that you respect. But you don't know the truth."

Ju Mu'er closed her eyes and did not refute. In fact, what Long Er said was very true. She did not know the truth; she only suspected, she only guessed, she only had that feeling.

"Mu'er, you should understand. The enemy is strong and you are weak. If it's not a single, decisive blow that kills instantly, then once the enemy retaliates, you will be doomed. You don't know the truth of this matter, and you have no evidence, so please don't get involved anymore, okay?"

Ju Mu'er was silent for a moment, then couldn't help but ask, "What if I have evidence?"

Long Er calmed down and asked after a while, "Do you have any solid evidence that could overturn the case, even just one piece?"

"No."

Neither of them spoke again.

Then Ju Mu'er couldn't help but add, "But there are many suspicious points."

Ryuji pinched her chin: "Did you listen to what I said?"

"I listened."

"You'll be obedient and well-behaved, won't you?"

"Yes. I'll listen to my husband." Ju Mu'er hugged Long Er tightly and repeated, "I'll listen to my husband."

Long Er stroked her back, looking at her with her eyes closed, seemingly sleepy, and felt a little uneasy. He was satisfied with this wife; her presence made him feel at ease, and he didn't want her to get into any trouble.

The night passed quickly, and the two, who hadn't slept well the previous night, got a good night's sleep.

Early in the morning, Ju Mu'er was still half asleep when Long Er patted her bottom twice. She frowned and muttered her dissatisfaction, but Long Er said, "If you don't get up to serve me, don't blame me for not waking you up."

Ju Mu'er suddenly woke up with a start. Right, she had to help her husband get up.

She sat up, her eyes still a little drowsy. Ryuji handed her the belt and stood by the bed with his arms outstretched, waiting.

Actually, what he called "serving" her was just a formality—making her tie her belt and button her clothes. If she didn't do it right, he would turn around and redo it himself. At first, it was just teasing her, enjoying the fun of ordering her around. But as the teasing went on, it became a habit between the two of them.

If he didn't manage to wake his sleeping wife up early in the morning and give her a good shove, he felt incredibly uneasy. Seeing her rubbing her eyes sleepily and then falling back asleep contentedly would make him smile with pleasure. But yesterday he realized that his wife also felt uneasy if he didn't wake her up.

This realization warmed his heart.

So he handed her the belt and watched her fumble around and fasten it. The whole process seemed too quick. Long Er was dissatisfied; he secretly unbuckled the belt and said, "It's not fastened, it fell off."

Ju Mu'er was taken aback. She touched the belt and fastened it again, this time patting it to make sure it was okay. But before she could let go, the belt came loose and fell into her hand.

Ju Mu'er was stunned for a moment, and that expression made Long Er grin silently.

Ju Mu'er fastened the belt one more time, saying as she did so, "If this belt can't be fastened, it must be because Second Master has gotten fat. His waist is so round that it can't be tied up anymore. What should we do?"

Ryuji's smile froze on his face.

Ju Mu'er continued nagging, "Buying new clothes and belts also costs money. The fatter you are, the more fabric you need, and the more money you spend. What should we do?"

Long Er said loudly, annoyed, "I'm not fat."

This time, the belt was securely fastened around my waist and wouldn't come loose again.

Ju Mu'er stroked the belt with satisfaction and said, "Thank you for your hard work, Second Master." Her tone sounded quite sympathetic towards Long Er for having to wear such an ill-fitting belt. "Should I tell the kitchen to make less oily food for Second Master and more vegetarian dishes?"

She's such a considerate wife, isn't she?

Master Long gritted his teeth: "I'm not fat."

Madam Long nodded, put her arms around his waist, and said in a comforting tone, "You're not fat at all."

Long Er snorted. This shrewish wife of his always found ways to make fun of him. He tossed her back onto the bed, turned, and left.

As men, we never linger in a fight. There's plenty of time to see who's stronger!

As he reached the door, he couldn't help but turn back for another look. She was fast asleep, eyes closed, a smile playing on her lips, clutching her blanket. Long Er watched, a deep sense of resentment washing over him.

What needs to be done today must be done today; a man cannot show weakness!

Long Er strode back, flipped Ju Mu'er over, revealing her pert bottom, and slapped her a few times with his palms, neither too hard nor too light.

Ju Mu'er was shocked and hadn't even reacted before she was beaten. Although it didn't hurt, she still screamed "Ah ah!" a few times, accusing him in a tearful voice, "Second Master hit me! How could you hit me!"
