The Ruthless Female Forensic Doctor's Husband-Destroying Story - Chapter 38

Chapter 38

Chapter Forty-Five

The autumn moon was full, hanging high in the sky, and the night was cool and still. A gentle breeze rustled through the leaves of the grapevines, casting dark shadows in the moonlight.

Xu Shirong was about to sit on the lake rock by the small pond in the corner of the courtyard when she suddenly noticed someone already sitting there with their back to her, legs bent. Judging from their back, the figure resembled Qingyu. Seeing that she was sitting there motionless, seemingly preoccupied, Xu Shirong didn't want to disturb them. Just as she was about to turn around and quietly go back into the house, she accidentally kicked a pebble, startling the person in front of her.

Qingyu turned her head and saw that it was Xu Shirong who came out. She was both surprised and a little frightened. She quickly stood up and gently called out, "Madam."

Seeing that she had been discovered, Xu Shirong smiled and walked over, sitting down on the lake rock. The rock was large enough for two people to sit on, and she patted the rock next to her, gesturing for her to sit down as well.

Qingyu quickly shook her head.

Seeing that she didn't sit down, Xu Shirong didn't force her, but just smiled and said, "I couldn't sleep, so I came out for some fresh air because the moon was nice. Can't sleep either?"

Qingyu smiled slightly and said, "Ever since I came here with Madam, I've lived a life of luxury, without having to worry about anything. How could I not be able to sleep? I just came out to admire the moon because it was so beautiful. I didn't expect to run into Madam."

Xu Shirong noticed that her gaze was slightly evasive when she spoke, suggesting that her words might not have been entirely from her heart, but she didn't find anything wrong with it. It was only natural for a girl like her, stranded here, to find sleepless nights and have her past memories stirred by the moonlight. Not to mention Qingyu, even she herself often secretly thought of her family and past. It's just that now, these things seemed as distant as a dream.

Xu Shirong's thoughts sank for a moment as she stared blankly at the silver moon reflected on the pond. Qingyu, standing beside her, remained silent.

A small snakehead suddenly leaped out of the water, then plunged back in with a splash, never to resurface, only breaking the calm surface of the water, creating ripples that shattered the full moon.

Qingyu smiled and then said softly, "It rained a few days ago, and the pond was full. I don't know why, but these snakeheads appeared. These days, the sun has been shining brightly, and the water has receded. Only the places where the water was overflowing are still covered with circles of duckweed, which looks quite interesting."

Xu Shirong looked up and saw that there were indeed traces of duckweed on the wall of the pond, a round circle that was clearly visible under the moonlight.

Xu Shirong stared at the circle of duckweed marks, remaining silent for a long time. Suddenly, an idea flashed through her mind, her eyes lit up, and she abruptly stood up, heading towards her room. Seeing that Qingyu beside her was startled, she suppressed her joy and smiled, "Thank you for waking me up. The night is a bit chilly; you should go back and rest early."

Qingyu was initially startled by her, but when she saw Xu Shirong thanking her with a smile, she became somewhat puzzled. Just as she was about to ask again, Xu Shirong turned and left. Qingyu stared blankly at her retreating figure as she hurriedly disappeared into the corridor, her skirt fluttering in the wind. Recalling the elegant face she had seen in the moonlight, glowing with a luminous jade-like hue, she sighed deeply, a slight sadness settling over her face, and slowly returned to her room.

Xu Shirong returned to her room, not even lighting the lamp, and climbed back onto the bed. Ignoring Yang Huan's sound sleep, she knelt beside him and called his name several times. Seeing no response, she pushed him forcefully a few times, finally managing to open his eyes. Using the bright moonlight streaming in through the window, he immediately saw her kneeling beside him. Without thinking about why she was still asleep in the middle of the night, he mumbled a couple of sounds, then pulled her close, patting her back and mumbling, "Sweetie, go to sleep. We're going to the beach again tomorrow..."

Seeing that he had closed his eyes again while speaking, Xu Shirong suppressed a laugh and reached out to pinch his nose. Yang Huan couldn't breathe, so he opened his eyes again and saw her smiling face, looking quite mischievous. He immediately perked up, stopped sleeping, and suddenly rolled over, pinning her beneath him.

Xu Shirong let out a soft cry of surprise. Seeing that his head was already pressing down on her, she hurriedly reached out to stop him, but her hand was grabbed by his mouth. She felt something wet and soft on her fingertips, which she thought he had licked. She quickly pulled her hand back and chuckled and scolded in a low voice, "The dignified county magistrate has become a finger-biting Ah Fu!"

Afu was a yellow guard dog kept by the gatekeeper. Yang Huan, far from being annoyed by the scolding, chuckled and said, "Today I'll show you how powerful Afu is!" He then straightened up, straddled her, pinned her legs down, and began tickling her waist and armpits. Xu Shirong was ticklish and couldn't escape, laughing until her strength gave way, and she begged for mercy. Yang Huan then chuckled and withdrew his hands, pretending to roll off. But somehow, he lost his balance and fell straight onto her, his face landing heavily on her chest.

Yang Huan buried his face in her ample chest, rubbing and pressing it a few times. He took a deep breath, guessing she was about to speak, and then hurriedly raised his face, looking innocent, and said, "It was an accident, an accident. Please don't be angry, my wife."

Even if Xu Shirong was truly furious, she was speechless at this moment. Moreover, far from being angry, she had felt all the blood rushing to where he had pressed against her, her heart pounding like a deer's. Afraid he would notice, she quickly pushed him away, sat up, smoothed her hair that had fallen loose from their earlier playful antics, and composed herself before saying seriously, "Stop fooling around. I woke you up because I have something serious to tell you."

Yang Huan was still savoring the soft, bouncy touch of where he had just fallen, his mind preoccupied with how to pretend to fall on her again. He couldn't hear anything else and just absentmindedly uttered two "ohs".

Xu Shirong was annoyed when she heard him respond absentmindedly and noticed that his eyes seemed to be staring straight at her chest. She pulled his ear and scolded him in a coquettish voice, "I'm talking to you, what are you thinking about!"

Yang Huan exclaimed in surprise. Seeing her serious expression, she had long lost the carefree attitude she had when the two of them were laughing and joking. He knew there was no hope, so he could only sigh, suppress his budding feelings, and look up at her.

Xu Shirong smiled and slowly said, "Didn't you say before you went to sleep that you've been surveying suitable sites for building the foundation these days? The tides are unpredictable, so it's indeed difficult to decide in a short time. But I have a trick that will guarantee you a perfect foundation, without any mistakes."

Yang Huan then realized what was happening, tilted his head and looked her up and down several times, but didn't say a word.

Xu Shirong knew he was somewhat skeptical of her words, so she didn't keep him in suspense and smiled, "It's currently the middle of the month. During the peak flood season, you should mobilize the coastal people to scatter rice husks (used for feeding pigs) all over Mei Beach. When the high tide comes in, the rice husks will be carried in by the waves. After the tide recedes, the rice husks will adhere to the sand, forming a winding, continuous line of husks..."

Before she could finish speaking, Yang Huan, who had been listening intently, suddenly interjected, "Driving piles slightly upwards along this chaff line will yield a new embankment site!"

Xu Shirong remained silent, only nodding approvingly.

"How did you come up with such a brilliant idea! My goodness, my wife, you are too...!"

Yang Huan didn't finish his sentence, but stared at Xu Shirong for a while before suddenly hugging her tightly and kissing her face repeatedly.

His earlier rubbing against her chest might have seemed somewhat deliberate, but this kiss was genuine and heartfelt. Xu Shirong sensed his joy, and being embraced and kissed passionately, she knew there was no escaping it, so she could only let him kiss her to his heart's content. When he finally released her, she saw him still smiling at her, looking rather dazed. Suppressing the sweetness welling up inside her, she exclaimed, "You kissed me, but why did you get my face all saliva on me!"

Yang Huan scratched his head, chuckled, and stretched out his sleeve towards her, saying, "I'll wipe it for you now."

Chapter Forty-Six

As Yang Huan spoke, he actually rolled up his sleeve to wipe her face, but Xu Shirong slapped his hand away. She pulled out a handkerchief from under her pillow, wiped her face, and suddenly remembered that she had given him a handkerchief to wipe his neck after he got drunk and made a scene at Xianle Tower last time. She hadn't asked for it back yet, so she casually asked, "Do you still have the handkerchief I used to wipe the rouge stains off your neck last time? Give it back to me."

It was just an ordinary handkerchief, with only her name embroidered in the corner, something she had hastily done to practice when she had nothing else to do. Hearing it was lost, she grumbled twice, then yawned and said, "It's late, go to sleep. Didn't you say you had to get up early tomorrow?" With that, she lay down facing inwards.

She was drifting off to sleep when she suddenly felt someone move her back. Turning around, she saw that Yang Huan was still awake, lying outside with his eyes wide open, gently poking her back with a finger.

"My dear wife... I am your husband, and you are my wife... right?"

When Yang Huan saw her turn around, he hesitated for a moment, and finally asked in a low voice.

Xu Shirong's heart skipped a beat; she had a vague idea of his thoughts. Although she had never been married before, after returning to China, her father introduced her to a young man from a family friend who had also studied abroad. After meeting, he seemed to like her, and most importantly, perhaps unfazed by her profession, and pressured by her father, they began dating. However, that relationship ended abruptly in less than a year. The reason was simple: in nine months, she had only kissed him three times, each time only after he initiated it, and she reluctantly agreed. Although he didn't explicitly show dissatisfaction, she knew that perhaps due to her profession, constantly dealing with corpses and specimens, she had completely lost interest in sex; the thought of it made her feel nauseous. So when he finally broke up with her, she immediately agreed, feeling not sadness but a sense of relief.

Now, she found herself here, no longer the forensic pathologist who spent her days handling corpses. She was now the wife of the young man lying beside her. He was a normal man, with normal male needs, which she was well aware of. Having spent so much time together, her feelings for him had long since faded from her former aversion. But to consummate their relationship now? She found it hard to imagine, and a lingering sense of unease still lingered.

Seeing that she was not moving, Yang Huan became bolder. Taking advantage of the dim light, he held his breath and slowly groped his hand under her armpit, tentatively reaching for her chest.

Even through the layer of clothing, the places he touched still felt the warmth emanating from his palm. Xu Shirong shuddered, suppressing the strange feeling rising in her heart, and closed her eyes.

Yang Huan placed his hand on her chest, pausing for a moment. Seeing that she didn't push him away as usual, he was greatly encouraged. He then groped his way into the collar of her slanted inner garment, touching a layer of soft silk material, knowing that he had touched her undergarment.

He was a seasoned player in the art of seduction, yet his hand, which had slipped inside her collar, trembled slightly, and his heart pounded like that of a young man experiencing first love. After regaining his composure, he paused, then gently pulled down, and her undergarment slipped off, revealing her snow-white, soft breasts.

Xu Shirong felt a chill on her chest and instinctively reached for the covers to cover herself, but then felt a warmth as his hand covered her breast and grasped it.

Yang Huan was initially a little cautious, but when he noticed her curled up beside him, motionless, with only her body trembling slightly, as docile as a kitten, his heart was suddenly moved. He couldn't help but reach out his other hand under her neck, turn her around to face him, and kiss her forehead and eyes while kneading the plump, smooth skin under his touch.

Held in his arms, Xu Shirong felt his breathing grow heavier, and she herself gradually found it hard to breathe. Suddenly, she let out a soft gasp. Sometime during the night, his hand had already groped its way down to her panties, reaching between her legs.

Xu Shirong's whole body stiffened instantly, and she subconsciously arched her back to block his hand.
