My First Husband After Transmigration - Chapter 98
Li You shook his head: "When have you ever finished talking? If you don't finish, I'll definitely be curious, and if I'm curious, I'll have to investigate for you. Can't you let me have a few more months of free time?"
“Alright,” He Bi nodded without pressuring, then suddenly raised his voice, “I’ve heard about Qin Rushui of Rushui Pavilion…”
Li You quickly waved his hand: "Stop!"
He Bi indeed stopped.
Li You looked at him with a headache: "It's been so long. Actually, when it comes to her, nobody in the world believes me, but now even you don't believe me?"
I believe you.
"You only speak to those who do not believe."
"I can choose not to say."
"But I'll help you investigate the case."
"yes."
He Bi actually admitted it, and without even changing his expression.
“You think I’m afraid?” Li You glared at him. “Actually, it wouldn’t hurt to let her know.”
Without thinking, He Bi was about to speak again.
"Stop!" Junyi's face immediately showed even more headache. "I mean, it wouldn't hurt to let her know, but it's still a bit troublesome."
He Bi nodded: "It's good that you understand."
Li You lifted the curtain and looked inside before turning back to look at him: "You find it very easy to blackmail your friends. Don't you feel ashamed?"
“Thinking that you also threatened me, I feel no shame at all,” He Bi said slowly. “Your old man probably won’t tie you up again. If so, wouldn’t you be too idle? No woman likes a lazy pig.”
"I'm a lazy pig, but I'm busier than you."
"You also like investigating cases."
“But I also need to get married and have children,” Li You straightened up and stared at him seriously. “As a descendant of the Li family, I am both intelligent and filial, so naturally I should prioritize the important matters of the Li family. Besides, cough... how could she bear to let me run around with you and work so hard to investigate cases?”
He Bi glanced at him, about to speak—
Behind them, the curtain of the car door was suddenly lifted, and a head popped out: "What case? Tell me about it."

--(over)--
Thank you for your encouragement and support all this time... and for all the insults (I was extremely reluctant, but at least I had to type them out, so it was still a lot of work).
To those who were tricked into clicking on this page, I sincerely apologize.
Thank you to those who like to add points, but please note that copied content will be deleted by the system. I understand that typing is troublesome, so if you're willing, adding two or three chapters is fine. Longer reviews would be even more appreciated :)
I read every single review.
Friendly reminder:
If you're not in the mood to listen to my rambling, and you have no questions that need explaining, please skip to the last three lines.
If you are in a good mood but still have questions, please continue reading—
(Love, friendship, family) —
Unfortunately, although this story is titled as a romance, I couldn't help but write more about friendship and family.
In this flamboyant era, the status of love has been elevated to a high level, so there's no need for me to embellish it. Of course, I still wrote it, along with my own humble opinions.
Novels and television dramas have always depicted "love suicide" with sacred praise, but I find it quite distasteful. Call me unromantic if you will, but the living are the most important people, and what we need most is to cherish and care for those who are alive.
While dying for love is a beautiful thing, no one wants it to happen to them in the first place.
In my heart, sincere friendship and true love are comparable. Yet nowadays, there are always more people who complain about their friends than those who praise them.
Have we forgotten something? Making friends isn't about getting them to do things for you.
It's often said that "a friend in need is a friend indeed," but if your friend only brings you a tattered piece of clothing, you might not be so angry if you could understand that it's because he had no charcoal to give.
There are no perfect friends in this world. If someone makes an exception for you, you should feel happy and grateful. Why ask for too much?
Whether it's romantic love, family affection, or friendship, to obtain the most genuine kind, we need each other's understanding, tolerance, and dedication.
Don't you think so? :)
(People and Life) —
Although this book is about revenge, it's not very meaningful. Haha, deep-seated hatred is not common in modern society. I can only hope that after reading it, readers can try to let go of their obsessions in certain matters and be more tolerant of each other. I think that will make them much happier. :)
As for the male protagonist in the story, he is not perfect, consisting of two "gods" and two "humans". Almost all of them have a lot of flaws, but when these people get together, they can accomplish many great things in the martial arts world.
Ultimately, I gave the female lead to Li You because I admire his optimism and attitude towards life. Although it's a bit realistic, one doesn't have to live in the shadows all the time.
Life is about being happy; what's the point of being sad and heartbroken every day?
Moreover, having someone understanding and tolerant by your side, whether a friend or spouse, should be a blessing. (This is also why I asked the female lead to forgive Li You. Li You didn't really cheat; if He Bi had died, I believe he would have stayed by her side for a night. In life, it's common for couples to neglect each other when they're in a bad mood. If, as some friends say, you never look back after making a small mistake, how will you maintain your family in the future? There are limits to mistakes, and growing old together requires the joint effort of both partners. Of course, this doesn't apply if your husband is known as a "henpecked husband." This is just my personal opinion; please feel free to disagree.)
Deep down, I actually prefer the tragic character of Nangong Xue. Because of his role, I was severely criticized by my friends, and the price I paid was not small.
To harm innocent lives in the name of revenge—if the same situation were applied to us, many people would indeed choose to live a life of ignominy, and perhaps even live a good life.
All I can say is that it's because they are not Nangong Xue.
Li You and He Bi understood, so when he committed suicide, they did not try to stop him. Perhaps such behavior would not be understood by others, but there was already enough mundane reality of friendship, and there was no need to add it to Nangong Xue's burden. He didn't need it.
Haha, life is inherently mundane, so feel free to imagine and fantasize :)
(Three explanations)
Regarding the female protagonist's dream, I initially wanted to explain it as her experiencing a time warp, which gave her a stronger sense of events at a specific point in time. However, I later realized that this explanation was too cliché and I was too embarrassed to write it down, so I simply omitted it. :)
As for comparing Hei Shilang and Nangong Xue, the assassin did kill more people, but he also lost his family, friends, reputation, and status, and his life was filled with darkness. I think Nangong Xue cannot be compared with this kind of person.
Or perhaps, at that time, people merely regarded assassins as weapons, which was a tragedy for them as well. This is precisely why Wuhua was destined to die while Zhongyuan Yidianhong was able to live.
Justice at that time was minimal and had not reached the level of modern justice. As Li You said, if you want true justice, you must be an enemy of certain people. If you can't, then you can only follow the small justice before you—a life for a life, while weapons can be overlooked.
This issue needs no further explanation; many friends already understand it. For those who don't, I can only wish that you will one day travel back in time and gather all the heroes for a symposium on the topic of "the issue of abolishing the assassin profession."
Some people blame He Bi. Strictly speaking, He Bi did work for the court, and what he maintained was only a small amount of justice. But in a society without great justice, if even small justice is abandoned, wouldn't things be even more chaotic?
Therefore, I don't think he did anything wrong.
Just as there are loopholes in the law, what would be the consequences if we stopped obeying the law because of that?
The greater people's understanding, the greater the justice; justice resides in the hearts of the people.
(Friendly reminder) --
I don't write for a living. My job is already tiring enough; if I had to use scheming techniques in my writing, I'd probably be exhausted by now. "Easy to write, easy to read" is the ideal I strive for. Therefore, my stories feature ordinary female protagonists and intelligent characters, but never overly complex or deep-seated schemes. There are no characters constantly weighing pros and cons; I don't have the time, inclination, or inclination to create such characters. Perhaps I'm just too tired of reality. I never write about utterly evil villains, and I will continue down this path. If any of you are unfortunately shocked by this, I apologize in advance. :)
The next one might be a comedy; I feel uncomfortable writing too many serious dramas.
(grateful)--
In short, thank you for reading this book, and I sincerely thank all the friends who have supported me all this time. Even if there were any unpleasant experiences while reading, I hope you can all wave goodbye and say bye-bye with a relaxed attitude :)
Thank you to Bu Luo Luo Luo, Dong Shu, and Cai Cai for the long comments!
Extra Chapter: Such Bullying (Li Yang's Extra Chapter)
The author has something to say:
To be honest, I've never written a side story before, and I'm actually a little unsure of myself—if you guys don't like it, I'll delete it :)
I managed to get one for Li Yang for now, but getting one for Nangong is a bit difficult.
"...Let's do it here."
"Have you thought it through?"
Okay.
"No going back on your word."
Two children, a boy and a girl, were squatting facing each other in the yard. The girl was sweet-looking, and her bright green dress made her look even more lively, like a tender sapling in spring.
The boy was a little older, around ten years old. His handsome face was framed by a purple robe, and his eyes were bright as water. His long, fine eyelashes curled slightly upwards, making him look very playful.
He glanced casually at the ground, picked up a small stone, scratched it, and then threw it away: "Hurry up, it's your turn!"
The girl pouted: "I need to think about it slowly..."
Just then, a roar rang out: "You little rascal!"
Upon hearing this, the girl couldn't help but giggle: "Brother Li's name is clearly Li Hao, how come he's become a scoundrel again?"
The child glared at her, quickly stood up, brushed off his clothes, and laughed, "You go back first, my mother is looking for me, no more playing today!"
The girl asked reluctantly, "When will we gamble again?"
"Tomorrow or the day after is fine, I'll come see you when I have time... Hurry up and leave, don't let my mother see us, she doesn't like you all hanging around me."
"Brother Li keeps his word, I'll be waiting for you."
Yes, yes, yes.
The girl then happily left.
In the blink of an eye, a pretty but fierce-looking young woman hurriedly walked down the corridor and stood in front of the child with a stern face. The child immediately rolled his eyes and obediently lowered his head.
Where is your sister?
"She was fighting with Brother He, who said her cartoon drawing was ugly."
“What’s wrong with cartoons? They just don’t know how to appreciate them!” Yang Nianqing glared. “She’s only seven years old, how could she possibly beat He Ping? Aren’t you going to help her?”
“Uncle He was there too, so Brother He didn’t dare to fight back,” the child laughed. “When I came over, he was being chased by his sister and had nowhere to run, so he jumped onto the top of the pavilion.”
"That's more like it," she said, relieved, but then remembered something else. "You call him 'uncle'? You should call him Uncle He!"
He said he was older than his father.
"Nonsense! Your father is older than him. Didn't you see He Ping call your father 'uncle'?"
The child muttered, "That's in front of Dad, Brother He wouldn't dare not call him that."
She threatened, "Whom do you listen to?"
