The small restaurant was doing good business, with only a few seats left. Ma Xiaoniu found a seat near the door and began to observe his surroundings. While his emotional control was impressive, it didn't seem to be very useful for investigating cases? Or perhaps I hadn't found the right approach?
The food in Myanmar was quite good, blending the characteristics of several countries' cuisines while maintaining its own unique style. Ma Xiaoniu ate with great relish, making loud smacking noises as he ate. But the smacking sounds he made drew stares from others. "Has this guy not eaten in years?" they wondered.
Emerging from the small restaurant, I wiped my mouth. Ah, it feels so good to be full! Come to think of it, I haven't really tested this ability since I gained it, have I? Hehe, I'll find someone to try it out on. Sorry for now.
The streets were getting busier now, with people coming from the south and going to the north, and there were so many monks! I wonder if half the men in Myanmar are monks? Just then, five monks came from a distance, talking and laughing. The tall, thin monk in the middle had a dignified appearance and looked like a highly accomplished monk.
Looking at the tall, thin monk, Ma Xiaoniu silently chanted in his heart: "Awesome! So sad!"
The tall, thin monk with a dignified appearance was walking and laughing, listening intently to the conversation of the four monks beside him. Suddenly, he stopped, his expression shifting from sunny to somber. In just a few seconds, he began to sob, tears streaming down his face like a stream. Then, without a second thought, he plopped down on the road and burst into tears, sobbing uncontrollably, tears shooting from his eyes like two fountains.
The other four younger monks who were with him were dumbfounded. Why did he suddenly start crying? And why was he crying so hard? Are you sure you're not sick? The four monks looked at each other, stunned, not knowing what to do.
Pedestrians on the street stopped and began to whisper among themselves.
"A product of the system, indeed extraordinary!" Ma Xiaoniu thought to himself. Judging by the fountain-like effect of those tears, if she cried any longer, she'd probably drown! Of course, Ma Xiaoniu wasn't one to kill indiscriminately, but he didn't know how to stop it. It seemed like none of the abilities the system extracted could be stopped! The system truly treated life as nothing!
Fortunately, after half an hour, the monk finally stopped crying, although he had fainted from crying. But at least he stopped, right? The other four monks hurriedly lifted the tall, thin monk and quickly walked away, perhaps to the hospital.
As the crowd dispersed, Ma Xiaoniu prepared to leave as well, when suddenly he caught a glimpse of a figure in the crowd out of the corner of his eye. Hmm? That's right! It's him! The guy who followed him yesterday! Ma Xiaoniu glanced over casually, and this time he saw clearly: a dark-skinned man with a pointed chin and a buzz cut, looking to be in his thirties. ===Chapter Twenty-Three===
When the other person saw Ma Xiaoniu looking over, he quickly turned around and looked around. Ma Xiaoniu didn't look at him much, and after getting a clear look, he continued walking towards the end of the street. Sure enough, just as Ma Xiaoniu had expected, the guy followed him again.
After several twists and turns, Ma Xiaoniu arrived at a deserted alley. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the other person peeking out from the alley entrance.
Ma Xiaoniu continued walking deeper into the alley, and when he reached the end of the alley, he vanished in an instant.
Tunchin was from Puwang City. His family was poor, and he spent his childhood hanging around the city. He joined the underworld at twelve, but Tunchin had limited talent for it, remaining a low-ranking soldier until his thirties. Yesterday, Tunchin was drinking at home when he suddenly received orders to follow and investigate a newly arrived Chinese man. Frustrated but helpless, Tunchin obeyed. He easily found the Chinese man and followed him. Everything was going smoothly until, halfway through, he suddenly experienced a sharp stomachache and soiled his pants. Tunchin was utterly bewildered; when had he ever soiled his pants? With no other option, he had to end the surveillance and return home.
Thunchin came out early this morning, thinking he might never find that Chinese man again. Unexpectedly, a monk suddenly burst into tears in the street, and then he saw the Chinese man again by chance, so he followed him all the way to this alley.
The alley was rather dimly lit. Tunchin was following the Chinese man when suddenly, his vision blurred and the Chinese man vanished. Tunchin was bewildered and looked around. Just then, he heard footsteps behind him. He quickly turned around and saw that the Chinese man had somehow appeared behind him and was now looking at him with a cold smile.
Tunchin stared blankly, feeling like his brain wasn't quite working.
"Speak! Who gave you permission to follow me?" Ma Xiaoniu's face was icy cold.
"What the hell?" Tunqin threw a punch at Ma Xiaoniu. Ma Xiaoniu blocked it with his arm, then kicked out from below, landing squarely on Tunqin's stomach. Keep in mind, Ma Xiaoniu had significantly increased his physique, making him far more physically capable than most. Even against a strong man, Ma Xiaoniu was confident he could take him down, let alone Tunqin, who was as thin as a monkey. Tunqin was kicked more than two meters away, one hand on the ground, the other clutching his stomach, cold sweat pouring down his face.
"Great job, Duo-Le!" Ma Xiaoniu pointed at Tunqin.
Tunqin was dumbfounded. "What the hell? I don't understand Chinese, but are you sure you're speaking human language?" Just as Tunqin was about to get up, a strange laugh welled up from within him. He couldn't help but chuckle, then suddenly covered his mouth, stunned for a few seconds. Suddenly, an even stronger laugh emanated from the depths of his soul. Tunqin's eyes widened in fear, but he couldn't hold back any longer; a series of "ha-ha-ha" laughs squeezed out from between his fingers. In just a moment, Tunqin's face turned bright red, and he had no choice but to release his hand from his mouth. This time, it was like a flood bursting forth, and he burst into wild, maniacal laughter, rolling around in pain. Cold sweat poured down his forehead, and his eyes were filled with unspeakable terror, making him look extremely eerie. In less than half an hour, Tunqin lay sprawled on the ground like a dead fish, foaming at the mouth, his eyes rolling back, his body occasionally twitching, and a faint "ha-ha-ha" sound emanating from his lips.
Ma Xiaoniu was speechless. The effect was so strong; it had almost killed Tunqin. How could he ask him anything? Helpless, he could only lean against the wall and wait. About an hour passed, and Tunqin remained motionless. Afraid he had died, Ma Xiaoniu went over and touched him. His body was warm; he had vital signs. Ma Xiaoniu breathed a sigh of relief. If he had died in one go, wouldn't he have been completely helpless?
He kicked Tunqin, but there was no response. Helpless, Ma Xiaoniu went out and bought a few bottles of frozen mineral water, unscrewed the caps and poured them on Tunqin's face. Stimulated by the cold water, Tunqin groaned and opened his eyes.
"Will you talk now or not? If you don't, we'll have to experience it again?" Ma Xiaoniu leaned against the wall, his face filled with murderous intent.
Tunqin shuddered, his eyes filled with fear as he looked at Ma Xiaoniu, his voice weak: "happy, happy, Xilun Kingdom"
Uh… Ma Xiaoniu remembered. He couldn't understand Burmese, and the kid in front of him clearly couldn't speak Chinese either. Scratching his head, Ma Xiaoniu took out his phone and translated the three characters "Zhao Dongming" into Burmese for Tun Chin. Tun Chin's eyes widened instantly when he saw the three characters "Zhao Dongming," then he suddenly thought of something, hesitated for a moment, and then shook his head.
"Looks like you're going to have to suffer the consequences?" Ma Xiaoniu could tell Tunqin was lying; his change in expression just a moment ago said it all. This guy definitely knew about it! But Ma Xiaoniu couldn't let Tunqin do it again, otherwise Tunqin would really be dead, and if Tunqin died, he'd be like a headless fly again. So Ma Xiaoniu deliberately glared fiercely, then made a few random gestures, pinched his fingers together, mumbled something incoherently, and was about to point at Tunqin.
Tunchin quickly shook his head, his expression complicated, then looked at Ma Xiaoniu and nodded.
"Good! You know what's good for you!" Ma Xiaoniu breathed a sigh of relief. Damn, he almost gave himself away. He then continued translating "Take me to Zhao Dongming, don't try anything funny, or you're dead" into Burmese on his phone for Tun Chin to see. After reading it, Tun Chin forced himself to stand up, then clutched his stomach with one hand, glanced at Ma Xiaoniu, and staggered towards the alley entrance.
Ma Xiaoniu followed at a distance, watching as Tun Chin strolled out of the alley and led Ma Xiaoniu to the vicinity of the Fire Temple. Then, Tun Chin stopped walking. Ma Xiaoniu was suspicious; he had been inside the Fire Temple himself, and everything seemed normal! Ma Xiaoniu glared at Tun Chin, then translated "Where is the Fire Temple?" into Burmese on his phone and showed it to him. Tun Chin looked at it, pointed inside the Fire Temple, then squatted down and drew a Buddha image with his finger, then drew a circle behind the image.
"Hmm? Does that mean the door is behind the Buddha statue?" Ma Xiaoniu nodded, then translated "Follow me" into Burmese on his phone and walked straight ahead. Tun Chin hesitated, but finally gritted his teeth and followed Ma Xiaoniu. After arriving at a secluded corner, Ma Xiaoniu looked around to make sure no one was watching, then teleported behind Tun Chin and slammed his arm hard against the back of Tun Chin's head. Tun Chin's eyes rolled back, and he collapsed to the ground unconscious.
Ma Xiaoniu glanced at Tunqin, then unhesitatingly unleashed several of his emotional control abilities on him. This way, even if Tunqin woke up later, he would be in a state of ecstasy, and if he didn't die, he would be severely injured.
Having resolved the matter with Tunchin, Ma Xiaoniu teleported away, reappearing behind the Buddha statue at the Fire Worship Temple. The statue was over two meters tall, but Ma Xiaoniu wasn't worried about being exposed. He looked around and noticed a round lid at his feet, clearly hollow underneath. It seemed Tunchin hadn't lied; there was indeed space below. However, he couldn't teleport down directly. Who knew what was inside? If he teleported into a crowd, he'd be committing suicide, especially since these drug dealers were armed.
The only option now is to secretly remove the lid, but there's a monk standing close to the left of the Buddha statue. If we move the lid and it makes a noise, we might disturb him. So let's get rid of him first.
"Awesome! So powerful!"
The simple-minded monk looked at the worshipper before him—a young woman in a pink dress, sweet-looking and stylishly dressed, truly a sight to behold! Just then, the simple-minded monk suddenly felt a surge of anger rise from the bottom of his heart and quickly fill his entire body. Then, without thinking, he reached out and slapped the pink-clad young woman hard across her delicate face.
"Slap!" The sound was crisp and pleasant. The pink-clad young woman was slapped back a good two meters, then her eyes rolled back and she fell to the ground.
The monks and worshippers around were dumbfounded. What the hell was wrong with him?
Instead of feeling relieved, Han Yu felt an even greater surge of anger. He quickly stepped forward, straddled the pink-clad woman, and began slapping her repeatedly across the face. The monks reacted, chanting "Amitabha!" and rushing forward to pull Han Yu away. But this action only made things worse; Han Yu changed his target, delivering a solid slap to the fat monk closest to him.
"Smack!" The sound was pleasant and melodious. The fat monk who had been hit was enraged. "You think you can bully me?" he thought. He swung his arm and charged forward, engaging the simple-minded monk in a fight. In no time, the entire temple was in chaos, monks and worshippers rolling around, slaps on the left, kicks on the right, a chaotic brawl. Of course, all of this had nothing to do with Ma Xiaoniu. He had already taken the opportunity to pull open the lid and enter below. Under the lid was a slanted passage, deep and dark, its destination unknown. Ma Xiaoniu slowly walked forward, and after about forty or fifty meters, light appeared ahead.
Outside the passageway was a huge room, roughly the size of a football field. Many white lab benches were laid out on the floor, each containing white powder. People in white lab coats were working on the benches, while numerous men in black, armed with guns, moved about. The walls of this large room had many doors, clearly leading to other spaces.
Ma Xiaoniu frowned. Such a spacious area was extremely unfavorable for hiding, and with so many doors around, how was he supposed to find them? Besides, after a while, people would inevitably come and go through the passageways, and how would he hide then? Forget it, he'd better give them a big gift first.
"Awesome! Rage!" A skill is unleashed on you by a man in black wielding a gun. The man in black, who was patrolling, pauses, then suddenly raises his pistol and fires two shots at the white lab coat on the lab table. Blood splatters everywhere, and the wounded lab coat falls to the ground. The gunshots instantly cause chaos, and the other lab coats quickly crouch and hide under the lab table. Meanwhile, the other men in black draw their pistols and fire at the one who fired. The one who fired is no match for so many hands and is riddled with bullets in an instant. ===Chapter Twenty-Four===
"Awesome, Duo-Le!" Another skill was unleashed on a tall, thin man in black. Still on edge after what had just happened, he was cautiously observing his surroundings. Suddenly, an uncontrollable laugh erupted from him, and the tall, thin man in black couldn't help but chuckle a few times. The other men in black around him, startled by the laughter, trembled and simultaneously pointed their guns at the tall, thin man in black.
"S!" A purple-faced man in black waved his hand, then mumbled something to the tall, thin man in black. The tall, thin man in black covered his mouth with his hand, his eyes filled with fear, but his body trembled, and he could occasionally chuckle through the gaps in his hand covering his mouth. The purple-faced man in black's thick eyebrows shot up, and he raised his pistol and fired two shots. The tall, thin man in black laughed again and fell to the ground.
The purple-faced man in black frowned, looking around. The other men in black also wore expressions of fear, afraid they would be next. The purple-faced man in black looked around but found nothing unusual. He mumbled something, and the men in white coats crawled out of the lab benches to continue working. The other men in black, though uneasy, had no choice but to continue their patrol.
Ma Xiaoniu frowned, "Damn, I can't handle you anymore!" "Awesome! Joy, Anger, Sorrow, Happiness!" He unleashed four skills on the purple-faced man in black. The purple-faced man in black, who had been pacing with a frown, suddenly beamed with joy, his eyes gleaming with excitement. His body trembled with excitement, his steps light, his arms outstretched to the sides, and he seemed to bloom with joy. The other men in black were dumbfounded. How could he have gone from a gloomy face to a beaming smile? But this was good news; their boss was happy, which only brought benefits. The other men in black also brightened up, grinning from ear to ear.
