Capítulo 12

"Please sign for your package, thank you."

After verifying the delivery information, the courier unloaded all the wooden crates from the cart. "Okay, these are all yours. Goodbye."

Jiang Shuiyun blinked. Did she buy so many things?

"Jiang Bai?"

Yi Jinbai repeated the name.

"Yes, that's my new game ID. I used this name when Jiaoyang was teaching me how to shop online."

Jiang Shuiyun lifted a wooden box from the ground with great effort, not forgetting to answer Yi Jinbai's question.

"Let me help you lift it."

Yi Jinbai was taken aback by Jiang Shuiyun's explanation, but seeing Jiang Shuiyun's open and honest demeanor, he didn't dare to think too much about it and reached out to help Jiang Shuiyun.

"No, this thing is too heavy," Jiang Shuiyun put the box down again, panting heavily. How could she let Yi Jin carry something so heavy? What if he bumped into something?

What are you doing?

Just as Jiang Shuiyun and Yi Jinbai were pondering what to do with the pile of wooden crates, Shen Yunyi's voice rang out from the side, and he leaned out of the black car window.

Jiang Shuiyun glanced at Shen Yunyi, then at the box on the ground. Hmm, they've come at the perfect time.

Shen Yunyi, who had offered himself up as a laborer, took off his suit jacket and rolled up his shirt cuffs. "It's just a few wooden boxes, how heavy could they be?"

Jiang Shuiyun, holding Shen Yunyi's coat, nodded in agreement, "Yeah, how heavy could it be?"

"Wow! Jiang Shuiyun, what did you buy?"

Shen Yunyi almost strained his back when he lifted one of them.

"It's nothing. I just overheard Jinbai talking to Auntie the other day and she mentioned that those wooden pavilions are really nice. I also noticed that my yard was bare, so I bought one."

Jiang Shuiyun thought that buying it would mean having a complete little pavilion, but reality seemed to be a little different from what she imagined, and it was also different from the pictures on display.

As soon as Jiang Shuiyun finished speaking, Yi Jinbai and Shen Yunyi looked at her at the same time. Yi Jinbai didn't expect that Jiang Shuiyun would actually buy it after he casually said it. Shen Yunyi looked at her as an idiot.

"This is the first time I've ever heard of buying a kiosk online. You should have told me earlier so I could have found someone to make one for me."

Shen Yunyi felt as if he had rediscovered some of the feelings he had when he was with Jiang Shuiyun before, but this time, although he was angry, he did not feel that disgust. He was even so angry that he almost laughed.

"What can we do now that we've already bought it?"

Jiang Shuiyun also took off her coat and handed it to Yi Jinbai, then rolled up her sleeves and looked at Shen Yunyi, "Come on, I don't believe we can't carry it in."

Jiang Shuiyun stretched her arms; if it weren't for the fact that her physique was significantly weaker after coming to this world, she could have handled these things herself.

After Jiang Shuiyun and Shen Yunyi had exhausted themselves, they finally managed to transport all the boxes to the place where they wanted to build the pavilion. They were almost completely worn out. Yi Jinbai poured them two glasses of water, which allowed them to catch their breath.

After a short rest, Jiang Shuiyun started disassembling the boxes. She refused to believe that she couldn't handle a small pavilion.

When Jiang Shuiyun opened the box, she realized she really couldn't handle it.

Shen Yunyi leaned over for a look and couldn't help pinching his brow. "Jiang Shuiyun, you really are a genius. You even managed to buy a pavilion with an ancient mortise and tenon structure."

Jiang Shuiyun didn't want to talk either, and just stared at the piece of wood in her hand.

"Here are the blueprints."

Just when they were at their wits' end, Yi Jinbai took out a toolbox and an instruction diagram from a box under the wood, which showed all the steps to build the structure.

Jiang Shuiyun and Shen Yunyi immediately went over to take a look. The blueprints were quite clear. With Yi Jinbai directing them while looking at the blueprints, Jiang Shuiyun and Shen Yunyi found the appropriate wood and began to build according to the instructions.

The process was arduous, but at least the three of them found a way to piece the parts together.

"hiss!"

Jiang Shuiyun felt a sharp pain in her finger and gasped. When she released her grip, she saw that a splinter had pierced her finger.

"Did it prick your finger?"

Shen Yunyi, whose white shirt had turned gray, was hammering wood when he heard the noise and looked up.

"fine."

Jiang Shuiyun shook her hand dismissively and prepared to continue, but Yi Jinbai grabbed her fingers.

Seeing Yi Jinbai's slightly furrowed brows, Jiang Shuiyun felt a little flustered, and even her voice became much softer without her realizing it, "It's nothing serious, it doesn't hurt."

"No, you need to remove the splinter from your hand quickly and then disinfect it. Let me help you with it."

Yi Jinbai's attitude was unusually resolute.

Jiang Shuiyun hesitated for a moment before meeting Yi Jinbai's worried gaze, then swallowed her words and nodded in agreement. She then looked at Shen Yunyi beside her and said, "I'll go take care of my wounds. I believe you can handle the rest."

Shen Yunyi sat on the wood and watched Yi Jinbai hold Jiang Shuiyun's injured hand, about to treat Jiang Shuiyun's wound. Then, looking at the pile of wood in front of him, he threw down his hammer and quit.

Jiang Shuiyun and Yi Jinbai went upstairs and watched as Yi Jinbai skillfully found the medical kit, took out the tweezers inside, and offered his hand.

It was clear that Yi Jinbai was still somewhat nervous. Jiang Shuiyun held Yi Jinbai's hand with her other hand and said, "Don't be nervous, I'm not in pain."

Yi Jinbai looked into Jiang Shuiyun's eyes and nodded. He lowered his head and carefully used tweezers to approach the splinter, pinching the exposed part of the splinter. After a slight pause, he pulled it out completely.

Jiang Shuiyun suppressed her cry of pain and let Yi Jinbai disinfect her hands, wash them, and then put a small flower-shaped bandage on them.

Watching Yi Jinbai carefully pinch his fingers, Jiang Shuiyun's expression softened involuntarily. In the past, she had suffered injuries that could be life-threatening, but this was the first time she realized that such a small wound could also be considered an injury, and that someone would seriously worry about it.

Chapter 18

Jiang Shuiyun was so engrossed in looking at Yi Jinbai that she didn't notice that Yi Jinbai had already bandaged her up. When Yi Jinbai looked up, she was caught off guard and met Jiang Shuiyun's gaze.

Jiang Shuiyun snapped out of her daze and just then saw Yi Jinbai awkwardly look away. She blinked and realized what was happening. "Um... thank you."

"It's nothing," Yi Jinbai said, lowering his head and releasing Jiang Shuiyun's hand. But then he noticed Jiang Shuiyun's right wrist. "What happened to your wrist?"

"What?"

Jiang Shuiyun also looked down and realized that Yi Jinbai was referring to the silver thread on her wrist, which was the only thing she had brought with her from her previous life—her mecha.

"This is……"

Before Jiang Shuiyun could figure out how to explain, she heard a commotion below. Taking this opportunity, she said, "I'll go see what's going on outside."

Not daring to look at Yi Jinbai, Jiang Shuiyun hurriedly got up and walked out, lest Yi Jinbai discover something amiss.

Stepping out of the room, Jiang Shuiyun slowed her pace, her left hand covering the silver thread on her right. Yes, she still had a mecha. Mechas weren't just for combat; they had many other uses. The various technologies they employed alone had immeasurable value in this era.

As Jiang Shuiyun walked, she was lost in thought. Just as she reached the entrance on the first floor, she realized that Jian Mang and the others had returned from the gym. Xi Rong was also there, and they were talking to Shen Yunyi.

"Mr. Shen, how can we let you do such rough work?"

As soon as Xi Rong entered the courtyard, he saw Shen Yunyi covered in dust, hammering wood, and almost didn't recognize him.

Shen Yunyi clapped his hands and stood up. "You know that, so why aren't you coming over to lend a hand?"

"Okay, coming right away."

Xi Rong quickly put down what he was holding, took off his coat, and went to move wood with Shen Yunyi. Jian Mang and the others looked at each other, but they couldn't just stand by and watch, so they rolled up their sleeves and got to work.

Jiang Shuiyun leaned against the door with her arms crossed, just as Yi Jinbai came downstairs. "Jinbai, where are the blueprints? We have enough manpower now, maybe we can finish building it in one go."

"Here."

Yi Jinbai took out the blueprints and stood beside Jiang Shuiyun, directing them from both sides. After an hour of working together, a brand-new pavilion was completed.

"Mr. Shen, have some water. Why did you suddenly decide to build a pavilion for us? And you even did it yourself. You're too kind."

After they finished, the group looked at their work. Xi Rong unscrewed the bottle cap and handed Shen Yunyi a bottle of mineral water.

"You're asking me?" Shen Yunyi was still angry and glanced at Xi Rong. "Go ask your teacher Jiang."

"Thank you all so much for your help," Jiang Shuiyun said, carrying a case of water and handing a bottle to each person. "Especially President Shen, otherwise I wouldn't know what to do with this pavilion. I didn't notice it wasn't a finished product when I bought it, and I was dumbfounded when it arrived."

Xi Rong immediately understood, laughed it off, and after saying a few words, changed the subject, "By the way, everyone hasn't eaten yet, right? I just heard Yao Yao and the others say they haven't eaten either. Everyone's been busy all morning, how about I treat you to a meal?"

"Great! I'm starving!" Jiao Yang was the first to respond, and the others followed suit, even discussing where to eat and what to eat.

"Training time is here." Jian Mang's voice interrupted their enthusiastic discussion, and the group immediately became serious.

Jiang Shuiyun stood by and watched. Xi Rong scratched his head and looked at Jiang Shuiyun. Whether or not to eat was up to Jiang Shuiyun to decide.

The training these past few days has been tough. Jiang Shuiyun glanced at the group and said, "Let's take an afternoon off and make it up when we get back tonight."

"Long live!"

"Yay!"

They were all young people in their early twenties, and they could be overjoyed just because of an afternoon off and a meal.

"Teacher Jiang, Ms. Yi, President Shen, what would you like to eat? Let's take a vote and decide."

After Xi Rong finished collecting the opinions of those people, he turned to ask Jiang Shuiyun and the other two.

"I'm fine with anything, but what about Jinbai?"

Jiang Shuiyun didn't know much about food, so she turned to ask Yi Jinbai, who was standing next to her.

"It will be all right."

Yi Jinbai has always been overly convenient, and even though he has become familiar with the others over this period of time, he still does the same.

"I'm not going. I need to go back and change my clothes."

Shen Yunyi dusted off his sleeves, not intending to go over. Mainly, he wasn't very familiar with this group of people, and as the boss, his presence might make it difficult for them to relax.

Xi Rong couldn't really let Shen Yunyi fall behind like this. He was counting on Shen Yunyi to pay for the meal. "It's alright, President Shen. Look, we're all a bit disheveled. We all need to clean up. No rush. The Miracle Team will be heading to the competition soon. This is just to cheer them on. What do you say, President Shen?"

“Yes, let’s go together. I also have something I’d like to ask you about,” Jiang Shuiyun echoed.

Since both of them had said so, Shen Yunyi had no choice but to respectfully agree. The group agreed to set off an hour later and then went back to pack and wash up.

Jiang Shuiyun returned to her room, grabbed her clothes, and said, "I'm going to the next room to wash up."

Yi Jinbai put down the towel in his hand. They had been living here for so many days. Every time Jiang Shuiyun finished training, she would find an excuse to stay until the end and then sleep on the sofa. She would get up early the next morning. They usually took turns washing up. Occasionally, if they couldn't take turns, Jiang Shuiyun would go to the empty room next door. Jiang Shuiyun still took meticulous care of her, but the two of them didn't act like a wife at all.
