Capítulo 13

Jiang Shuiyun took the clothes and walked out, closing the door behind her. Yi Jinbai remained silent throughout.

Just as Jiang Shuiyun stepped out, before she could even enter the room next door, Yao Yao Ling came out of her room and glanced at the clothes Jiang Shuiyun was holding. "Captain, did Sister Jin Bai kick you out?"

"No, it's just that I'm short on time and this place is empty, so I came to borrow it for a bit."

Jiang Shuiyun answered calmly.

Yao Yao Ling's gaze swept over Jiang Shuiyun, her eyes narrowed slightly, and she shook her head confidently. "Captain, stop pretending. I've seen it all these past two days. You've been sleeping on the sofa every day. You must have had a fight with Sister Jin Bai, right?"

Jiang Shuiyun didn't expect that her sleeping on the sofa every day would go unnoticed, but this was a private matter between her and Yi Jinbai, and there was no need to report it to others. "Are you done packing? If you're done, go get the car."

"No, Captain, the more you avoid the problem, the more it proves there's a problem," Yao Yao Ling glanced in the direction of Yi Jin Bai's room. "Captain, I'm not taking sides, but Sister Jin Bai has such a good temper. If you two have a conflict, it must be your fault. You should reflect on it, apologize, and it'll be over. Otherwise, if you sleep on the sofa every day, the couple will easily break up if they live apart for too long, you know that?"

"You seem to know quite a bit about this," Jiang Shuiyun said with a half-smile, making Yao Yao Ling feel a chill run down her spine for no apparent reason.

Startled, Yao Yao immediately stopped talking and ran back to her room in a flash. "Um, I haven't showered yet. See you later, Captain!"

Shaking her head, Jiang Shuiyun glanced in Yi Jinbai's direction. This wasn't something that could be resolved with just an apology. How could past mistakes be so easily forgiven? It was too unfair to Yi Jinbai.

Jiang Shuiyun lay in the bathtub, letting the water wash over her nose. Yao Yaoling's words had indeed made her realize a new problem.

Since coming into this world, Jiang Shuiyun felt that her goal was very clear: to make amends to Yi Jinbai and bring her life back to its original track. But what happened after that?

Honestly, Jiang Shuiyun felt that she could never forgive someone who had hurt her so badly. So, once Yi Jinbai's life was back on track, it should be time to cut ties with the person who had ruined her.

Resurfaced, Jiang Shuiyun wiped the water from her face. Her fingertips stung slightly as she realized that the small flower bandage Yi Jinbai had put on her had fallen off after getting wet.

Jiang Shuiyun reached into the water and scooped the small flower out, squeezing out the water, but even then, it wouldn't stick back together.

Jiang Shuiyun placed the flowers on the windowsill above the bathtub, bathed in sunlight. She made up her mind: when she returned Yi Jinbai's life to her, she would take the initiative to file for divorce and let Yi Jinbai leave.

Jiang Shuiyun's absentmindedness while taking a shower led her to realize that she had been soaking in the water for an hour when she heard Xi Rong's loud voice calling for help downstairs.

Jiang Shuiyun hastily dried herself off, put on clean clothes, and walked out while drying her wet hair with a towel. She bumped into Yi Jinbai, who was also coming out of his room, and paused slightly in her hair-drying motion, momentarily stunned.

Today, Yi Jinbai is wearing the dress that Jiang Shuiyun personally picked out. Jiang Shuiyun's feeling that she had her eye on it at first glance was indeed correct; this dress suits Yi Jinbai perfectly.

The soft gauze and pure white fabric, without any extra embellishment, perfectly complemented Yi Jinbai's naturally clean and gentle features, making her look like a landscape painting. Only a touch of light color on her lips served as the finishing touch.

"Teacher Jiang, shall we go?"

Xi Rong's voice brought Jiang Shuiyun back to her senses. Avoiding Yi Jinbai's gaze, she vigorously rubbed her hair and went down the stairs. "You're here. Let's go."

Wow! Sister Jinbai looks so beautiful today!

After Jiang Shuiyun left, Viper and Yao Yaoling pulled Yi Jinbai onto the elevator. Jiang Shuiyun could even hear their chattering. She couldn't help but turn around for another look. Just as she turned her head, she met Yi Jinbai's gaze through the transparent elevator. Her rhythm as she went down the stairs faltered, and she almost twisted her ankle. Fortunately, she managed to grab the railing in time.

Jiang Shuiyun didn't want to know how stupid she looked in Yi Jinbai's eyes, so she quickened her pace involuntarily and didn't dare to look back.

"Teacher Jiang, you're dressed quite casually."

Looking at Jiang Shuiyun's casual black suit and her unkempt, damp hair, Xi Rong had to admit that, paired with Jiang Shuiyun's face, it actually gave off a somewhat carefree and dashing vibe.

"It's quite comfortable to wear."

Jiang Shuiyun absentmindedly rolled up her sleeves, her ears involuntarily drawn to the sound of the elevator doors opening.

Chapter 19

Jiang Shuiyun chatted casually with Xi Rong until everyone got off the elevator and it was time to leave. Then, Jiang Shuiyun casually glanced at Yi Jinbai and said, "We..."

“By the way, Ms. Jiang,” Xi Rong interrupted Jiang Shuiyun, “Ms. Jiang and Ms. Yi, why don’t you take Mr. Shen’s car? Mr. Shen is waiting at the door. It will be more convenient for you to discuss anything on the way.”

Everything was already arranged and couldn't be changed. Jiang Shuiyun and Yi Jinbai exchanged a glance and agreed. They headed out first, while the rest of the people could ride in Xi Rong's car and then drive the shared car in the garage.

As the two walked, Jiang Shuiyun tidied her still-wet hair, looked ahead, and only glanced at Yi Jinbai. "You look very beautiful today."

Yi Jinbai was clearly also quite reserved. "Thank you."

After that, the two fell silent. Fortunately, the yard wasn't big, and they saw Shen Yunyi's car parked at the gate in just a few steps. Shen Yunyi, who had changed into casual clothes, got out of the car and opened the door.

Jiang Shuiyun let Yi Jinbai get into the car first, and Shen Yunyi casually mentioned, "Didn't you just say you had something to ask me? Why don't you sit in the passenger seat?"

"Alright."

Jiang Shuiyun nodded, taking the opportunity to ask Shen Yunyi about technology-related matters.

Shen Yunyi drove, Jiang Shuiyun sat in the passenger seat, and Yi Jinbai sat in the back seat. After everyone was seated, Shen Yunyi remembered something and looked at Jiang Shuiyun, "The bag next to you contains the sheet music that you asked Xi Rong to find. He has been looking for it these past few days, but it hasn't been of any value. I happen to have some, so I brought it over for you."

"Really? Thank you," Jiang Shuiyun looked at the brown bag next to her with some surprise. She opened it and took a look. The sheet music inside looked quite old, but the older it was, the more precious it was. She didn't expect Shen Yunyi to bring so many. "Jinbai likes music, and I wanted to find some for her. These are all too precious. I'll just copy them down and return them to you."

Jiang Shuiyun handed the bag to Yi Jinbai behind her, "Jinbai, I don't know anything about this either, you take a look."

"It's alright, I don't know anything about these things. As long as Miss Yi likes it, that's all that matters. By the way, I've heard that Miss Yi studied music before?"

Shen Yunyi answered the call while driving, glancing at Yi Jinbai through the rearview mirror and nodding.

“Yes, I did study a little, and I graduated from Slulis Academy,” Yi Jinbai said, not expecting that Jiang Shuiyun would ask someone to help her find sheet music. He quickly looked through the bag and found that most of the pieces were very precious and rare, and some might even be original manuscripts. He immediately became nervous. “President Shen, this is too valuable.”

"It's alright, it's no use for me anyway," Shen Yunyi quickly changed the subject. "By the way, what did you want to ask me?"

Jiang Shuiyun turned around and nodded reassuringly. Since Shen Yunyi had said so, Yi Jinbai should accept it. As Yi Jinbai took out the sheet music and looked at it, Jiang Shuiyun heard Shen Yunyi's voice and turned around as well. "It's like this, I've recently become a little interested in science and technology. Do you know anything about this?"

"Technology? Information?" Shen Yunyi glanced at Jiang Shuiyun twice, seemingly hesitant. "You plan to inherit your family's mantle? Didn't you lose your memory?"

"What did my family do before?" Jiang Shuiyun really didn't know what the original owner's family did. They went bankrupt as soon as she arrived. The original text only described the original owner's outrageous deeds and didn't mention the family much.

"You still don't remember? Then why are you still interested in this? Is it really ingrained in your very being?" Shen Yunyi was even more puzzled. Jiang Shuiyun really didn't remember anything, so how could she bring this up so conveniently?

"Stop joking, it's just a coincidence. I've been playing games lately and wanted to try holographic games because the quality of current games is still a bit low."

Jiang Shuiyun needed to find an excuse for his sudden career change, and starting with games was a logical step.

Shen Yunyi got a headache just hearing this. "Holographic technology? Don't even mention it. Everyone's working on holography, but they can't even figure out 3D or VR. If you can really make this work, I'll stick with you."

"What if I really could?"

This wasn't Jiang Shuiyun boasting. After all, she was trained at a top military academy. In that era where technology controlled everything, you couldn't even understand the battlefield without learning some of these things. Besides, what hadn't she researched for training and other purposes? In addition, she now has her own mecha and the intelligent artificial intelligence within it. It's only a matter of time before she can truly create something from scratch in this world.

Shen Yunyi took Jiang Shuiyun's words seriously. After all, the Jiang family was the leader in this field before its downfall. Although Jiang Shuiyun had lost her memory, as the sole heir of the Jiang family, she might actually have something in her hands.

"Let's talk about this later. If what you're saying is true, I'll definitely be the first to invest. But if you already have this in your hands, why are you even playing games?"

Since the Jiang family went bankrupt, when Shen Yunyi first met Jiang Shuiyun, he felt that this person was full of contradictions, contradictory in every way.

"This can't be accomplished overnight. Besides, I still need to play the game. I'm just short of money." Jiang Shuiyun was confident and calmly admitted her predicament. At the very least, she wouldn't give up on her professional e-sports career until she had enough funds. In addition, she didn't like giving up halfway. It's so frustrating not to reach the top no matter which path you take.

Jiang Shuiyun's frankness made Shen Yunyi look at him with even greater respect. He honestly asked himself if he could have done the same in Jiang Shuiyun's current situation.

"By the way, I have a spare piano here. I'll have someone deliver it to you later, so Miss Yi can practice at home."

When Shen Yunyi brought up Yi Jinbai again, Jiang Shuiyun now truly made him want to be friends with him.

Why do you leave everything unused?

Jiang Shuiyun glanced at Yi Jinbai, who was still intently studying the sheet music and hadn't heard the two of them talking at all, and then picked up where Shen Yunyi left off.

"Isn't this just to show off? Put it at the front door so people will think I'm cultured, talented, and musically gifted. It's normal practice. Didn't you also bid a sky-high price for a crystal violin before you lost your memory? In reality, you didn't even know how to hold a violin, but you just hung it at the door for others to see."

Perhaps it was because of their previous friendship in building the pavilion together, or perhaps it was because they had hit it off in their conversation, but Shen Yunyi became more casual and relaxed as he spoke with Jiang Shuiyun.

It seems they really had a relationship before, even knowing what's hanging in their homes. Jiang Shuiyun smiled, "That's true, you don't have a crystal piano there, do you?"

“No, that’s not it. The crystal piano is at my parents’ house, it belongs to my mother. The one at home is just ordinary, it’s okay for casual playing,” Shen Yunyi said with a smile and shook his head. “By the way, about the game, is there any progress? Star Wars is very popular right now, but the game market is still too monotonous. If something better can be made, game fans will welcome it.”

"I don't have any ideas yet, but there's still a lot of room for improvement on the basis of Star Wars. How about this, I'll give you a polished version later to try and see how it goes. That won't be considered copyright infringement, right?"

Jiang Shuiyun had just thought of this and made the suggestion to Shen Yunyi.

"If you can really do it, I'll get you the Star Wars license directly. I have shares in the game's group, so I have a certain amount of influence." Shen Yunyi was quite looking forward to seeing what kind of results Jiang Shuiyun could achieve.

Jiang Shuiyun was relieved. "Don't worry, I won't let you down."

"Okay, by the way, the food you made last time was pretty good. Your cooking skills are excellent. How did you make it?"

"Forget it, it's nowhere near as good as what Auntie makes."

"Those dumplings are delicious."

"It's frozen, and last time you came at the wrong time, I didn't prepare food for you. Jinbai and I were both hungry and ate bread instead."

"I was wrong, I'll bring my own dumplings next time..."

...

Jiang Shuiyun and Shen Yunyi chatted in the front, while Yi Jinbai flipped through sheet music in the back seat. Before long, they arrived at their destination, a private restaurant ordered by Xi Rong. The food was pretty good, but it was relatively niche.

"Jinbai, we've arrived."

Jiang Shuiyun gently patted the sheet music in Yi Jinbai's hand, reminding the engrossed Yi Jinbai to get out of the car.

"Oh, okay."

Yi Jinbai was clearly still in a daze. After putting away the sheet music, he followed Jiang Shuiyun out of the car, looking somewhat confused.

"They're gone."

Yi Jinbai's dazed and confused appearance was particularly endearing. Jiang Shuiyun smiled and held onto Yi Jinbai's sleeve to keep him from getting lost.

"Let's go in first. They should be here soon, no need to wait."

Shen Yunyi glanced at the two people, looked around to distract himself, and then turned and walked inside.

Jiang Shuiyun and Yi Jinbai walked a little slower to catch up.

Just as Shen Yunyi turned the corner, another group of people came from the other side and happened to meet Jiang Shuiyun and her companion.

Jiang Shuiyun didn't recognize these people and walked straight ahead without looking to the side, but was blocked by that group of people.

"Oh, isn't this Miss Jiang? You can come to a place like this? Didn't you go visit your parents who're in jail?"

A vulgar and provocative remark rang out, clearly aimed at Jiang Shuiyun.

Jiang Shuiyun stopped abruptly and looked at the group of people. The two leaders didn't say anything, but it was obvious at a glance that they were spoiled and arrogant. The group of followers behind them were obviously lackeys, perfectly embodying the phrase "a dog relying on its master's power".
