Capítulo 35

An Xin didn't move, her voice cold as she said, "If you dare touch me, he's dead!"

"Ah!" Butler Miao suddenly cried out in pain. His sharp claws stopped an inch in front of An Xin. The strong wind lifted her bangs, revealing a pair of unusually cold and clear eyes, which made Wei Pu pause abruptly.

An Xin raised her eyelashes and looked coldly into the doorway. She saw a handsome man walking out quickly, followed by a young man with red lips and white teeth. He was fair-skinned and had a calm and unhurried pace, as if he were there to watch the show.

An Xin's eyes flashed as she glanced at the young man's attire. The fabric was luxurious, no less than what that bastard Yan Zhen wore. He had a white jade pendant on his slender waist, its light shimmering, clearly indicating its high value!

"Young Master Zhiyuan, please save this old servant!" Butler Miao was both shocked and frightened, and his head was covered in sweat.

Feng Zhiyuan glanced at An Xin with slight surprise, then swept his gaze over the servants lying scattered on the ground, his eyes darkening as he coldly asked, "Who are you? Why are you causing trouble and injuring people in front of my Feng residence?!"

An Xin said coldly, "I want to see my father, An Youwei!"

Feng Zhiyuan's expression suddenly changed slightly.

An Xin narrowed her eyes slightly, observing the changes in his expression.

"Your father has already left!" Feng Zhiyuan's eyes flashed, then he looked at An Xin. "Release Butler Miao and leave as soon as possible, or I will definitely hold you accountable!"

An Xin raised an eyebrow and asked, "When did my father leave? Do you know where he went?"

Feng Zhiyuan said calmly, "How would I know where I went an hour ago?"

An Xin sneered, "An hour ago? I was here an hour ago, yet I didn't see my father at all!?"

Feng Zhiyuan's expression changed slightly, and he said with a hint of impatience, "He left through the back door!"

An Xin sneered, "My maid is waiting at the back gate, but why haven't I seen my father? Could it be that my father is still a guest at the Feng residence, and the young master doesn't want him to leave?"

Dewdrop stared blankly, wide-eyed. An hour ago, she hadn't been at the back door; an hour ago, they were still on their way! But she knew that her mistress must have a reason for saying that, so she decided to remain silent.

Feng Zhiyuan's expression changed, and he said with a hint of anger, "I said I'm leaving, and I'm leaving! If you continue to cause trouble, don't blame me for being ruthless!"

Behind Feng Zhiyuan, the young man looked at An Xin with slight surprise, then suddenly laughed and said, "An Youwei? Is that the minor official who was demoted to a commoner?"

Feng Zhiyuan's face suddenly turned pale, and he hurriedly said, "Yes...yes, young master."

An Xin narrowed her eyes slightly. Who was this young man? Feng Zhiyuan was so respectful to him; his identity must be extraordinary. An Youwei's demotion was no secret, but how could a stranger know about it?

The boy looked at An Xin. He was a handsome young man, clearly born with a silver spoon in his mouth. His skin was so smooth it looked like it could be squeezed to release moisture. He was also looking at An Xin with great interest.

“Perhaps An Youwei has been kept as a guest by one of the elders in the family. Zhiyuan, Zhen… I think this girl must be anxiously searching for her parents. You should send someone to look for her again.”

Feng Zhiyuan stared at the young man in shock, then gave An Xin a strange look. A hint of panic flashed in his eyes, but he still said, "Yes."

"Miss An?" A surprised voice came from above. An Xin looked up and saw Feng Yi walking over, looking both surprised and delighted, as well as puzzled. "What are you doing here? I've been looking everywhere for you... Butler Miao... what happened?"

An Xin shoved Steward Miao aside, wiped the blood off the hairpin, and casually stuck the copper hairpin in her hair. She said, "I stayed at the inn last night to investigate a case. My parents were worried and, upon hearing that I was with you, rushed here to find me. They haven't returned yet. I thought they must have been invited by the Feng family, so I hurried here to see you first and ask if my parents were there. But this servant was spouting nonsense, insulting and cursing me, saying, 'How could we commoners like us see Young Master Feng?' I was so angry that I beat him up. Then Steward Miao rushed out and tried to take me to the authorities without any regard for the facts. Luckily, Young Master Zhiyuan showed mercy, and I wasn't actually sent there. You've come at the right time!"

An Xin hadn't even finished drafting a single piece of writing when Feng Yi stopped, frowned, and said angrily, "Butler Miao, Miss An is my honored guest. How dare you be so rude to your guest? Do you want me to tell Grandpa?"

Butler Miao's face turned pale; he truly had no way to express his bitterness!

Feng Zhiyuan was speechless.

Feng Yi breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, "It's alright. Their rudeness will be dealt with according to the family rules. You rarely come here, so please come inside with me."

Feng Zhiyuan's expression changed, and he hurriedly said, "Third brother, why aren't you coming to greet our distinguished guest?!"

Feng Yi was taken aback and looked at the young man to the side. The young man was completely unfamiliar to him. He couldn't help but look at Feng Zhiyuan strangely. The young man said, "No need. Miss An, please come in as well."

An Xin glanced at the young man, feeling something was off, then looked at Feng Yi and said, "If anything happens to my parents, I won't consider our relationship."

Feng Yi was taken aback, then said, "If it were at the Feng residence..."

An Xin said calmly, "I hope so!"

Feng Yi's eyes flashed and he said, "Are you worried about Lin'er?"

An Xin remained noncommittal.

Feng Yi paused for a moment and said, "Although she is mischievous, she shouldn't do anything outrageous, so there's no need to worry."

An Xin fell silent. Behind her, Lu Zhu's face turned pale with fright. She felt even more that her young lady was truly fearless, daring to cause trouble even at the Feng Manor, and lying in broad daylight in front of everyone without even blushing!

The Feng family mansion is large and prosperous, with flowing water and winding corridors, lush flowers and trees, a magnificent sight.

The young man lagged a few steps behind and walked alongside An Xin, saying, "Miss An, I've heard you've solved several difficult cases. With such talent, it's truly a pity you're staying in Huanan Village."

An Xin glanced at him expressionlessly and said, "Is it a pity to stay anywhere?"

The boy suddenly smiled, revealing his neat teeth, and said, "Would it be alright to stay in the capital?"

An Xin said expressionlessly, "Not interested!"

Feng Zhiyuan couldn't help but hiss, "Insolence!" How dare you speak to me like that! This is a grave disrespect, punishable by beheading!

The boy glanced at Feng Zhiyuan, then smiled and said, "Why? Isn't the capital city much more fun than here?"

An Xin said coldly, "Play? Young masters born with a silver spoon in their mouths naturally don't understand the hardships of ordinary people. They can't even afford to eat, how can they have time to play?"

Feng Yi frowned slightly. He didn't know who this boy was, but his intuition told him that he was unlikable and always bothering An Xin. He just couldn't stand it!

The boy was suddenly speechless.

An Xin ignored him and casually glanced at the girls around her, all of whom were staring at her with shining eyes, or more precisely, at the boy beside her.

Sure enough, outstanding people are always the focus of attention wherever they go. An Xin couldn't help but think of the lines "lotus in the clouds, flowers on the roadside, the moon rises over the southern border, and the sunset glows over the western region".
