Capítulo 47

Yan hope angrily retorted, "When did I ever spit?!"

Ah Heng stepped back, her expression grave—"Now, with you as the center, water molecules are spreading..."

The boy, enraged, said, "I shouldn't have saved you! You speak Mandarin so fluently, you brat!"

Aheng wasn't buying it, shrugging—"I'm self-taught, it has nothing to do with you. Besides words starting with 'Mom' and 'Nanny,' what else have you taught me…?"

Yan hope shrugged, angrily—"Eat noodles, eat noodles! I'm starving!!!"

The person cooking noodles at the stall was a young girl, who looked to be about fourteen or fifteen years old.

"Is this girl a child laborer?" Yan hope whispered to Aheng.

"Pah! How dare you talk like that? You're the child laborer, your whole family are child laborers!" the little girl said disdainfully.

Yan hope pouted – “Are you even eighteen yet? Show me your ID card, household registration book, business license, and health permit!”

"Why should I show it to you? Who do you think you are?!"

"Why should I tell you who I am? Who are you to tell me who you are?!"

"What kind of lunatic came here in the middle of the night? Are you some kind of troublemaker?!" The girl was furious.

Ah Heng stepped forward and smiled, "Little sister, one bowl of noodles, no dried shrimp, and extra crispy pork."

He then glanced at Yan hope.

How old is she? How can she argue so fiercely with people? She's completely mentally unsound.

Yan hope blinked his big eyes innocently, whistling and looking up at the sky.

Meanwhile, the little girl glared at Yan hope, then turned around and started cooking noodles. A moment later, the glistening noodles, all the toppings, and the bubbling bone broth were deftly added to the pot.

"It smells so good." After a while, Ah Heng smelled the aroma of noodles all around and smiled.

"I'm not bragging, but the noodles we make are the best on this street." The little girl said proudly, placing the bowl of noodles in front of Aheng.

"Wow, that's amazing! I'll have to try it today." Ah Heng smiled and handed Yan hope a soup spoon and chopsticks.

The little girl was very perceptive; she picked up another set of bowls and chopsticks, and before leaving, she didn't forget to snort at Yan hope with her nose.

"Aren't you annoying people?" Ah Heng sneered.

Yan hope used chopsticks to roll up the noodles and spread them into a spoon, each strand glistening with color.

He handed the spoon to Aheng and said casually, "This little girl is just like Lin Wanwan when she was little, just as fierce."

Ah Heng was stunned for a moment before taking the spoon and unconsciously putting it into her mouth. The chewy and fragrant noodles were delicious.

He lowered his head and ate his noodles with gusto. In the dim light, his profile was faintly shadowed, making his features somewhat indistinct.

Ah Heng looked at the scene and felt that it seemed familiar.

Oh, right, she first saw him at the breakfast stall at the alley entrance, and it was this profile view of him too.

However, back then, the boy's hair was long, almost reaching his neck; now, it's short and thin, only reaching his ears.

"Ugh, he ate hair again." Ah Heng sighed, took out a handkerchief, and wiped the soup off the stray hairs on Yan hope's forehead.

"Having a lot of hair is such a hassle." Yan hope raised his smooth forehead, smiled, picked up a piece of crispy pork from the bowl, and put it to Aheng's lips—"Eat."

Ah Heng smiled, cautiously took the meat with another pair of chopsticks, and only then dared to put it in her mouth.

"Tch, are my chopsticks poisonous?"

"...There's saliva in it."

"..."

These past few days, Yan hope has been following behind A Heng like a tail, seemingly wanting to say something but holding back.

"Is something the matter?" Ah Heng asked, trying to remain calm.

"Hengheng..." A bright smile appeared on her face.

"Speak properly!" Ah Heng got goosebumps all over.

"Uh... Ah Heng, you should know what day it is the day after tomorrow, right?" He became serious for a minute.

"What day? Of course, it's the day to go back to school and pick up your report card!" Aheng declared confidently.

"What? How come I didn't know we'd be picking up our results the day after tomorrow???" Yan hope exclaimed in horror.

Ah Heng sniffed – “I remember you were tearing up books and folding paper airplanes back then.”

"This world is so cruel to me, to let me hear such terrible news on such a joyous day..." Yan hope burst into tears.

"What's the big day? Are you getting engaged or married?" Ah Heng leaned closer, her eyes sparkling.

"Pfft! It's my birthday!" Yan hope rubbed his hair and pointed angrily—"As my daughter, you don't even know it's my birthday? This is heartbreaking!"

"Oh, then go suffer in the living room, don't stay in the kitchen, it's so hot." Ah Heng laughed nonchalantly.

"Hengheng!!!" My damned daughter, Wen Hengheng!!!

"roll!"

When I received my report card, oh, I heard it was on someone's birthday. A group of classmates gathered around, whispering among themselves.

"Hey guys, what do you think? Is Yan, the beautiful lady, looking so melancholy today? Is it because she didn't do well on her exam or because she broke up with her boyfriend? Come on, place your bets! Hurry up!"

"I'm betting a steamed bun on a breakup."

"I bet a whole steamed bun on the exam, and I still didn't do well!"

"A pile of candy, and heartbreak!"

"Two Oreos, didn't do well on the test."

"Let's make funny faces, the three of us. We're definitely heartbroken. Didn't you see the undercurrents between Yan hope and Rou Si?"

Wearing high heels, Rou Si sneered as she walked by—"I'm a four-year-old ice pop, the house, I take all!"

"A bunch of clueless idiots, don't they know it's Yan Yaojing's birthday today and no one gave her a gift..." A certain Rou Si was exasperated.

When she said "someone," her phoenix eyes glanced slightly at Aheng.

"Oh." Everyone scattered like birds and beasts.

It's someone else's family matter, not some scandalous affair, why are you meddling in it!

"Aheng, you really weren't prepared?" Yan hope felt a dark cloud hanging over his head.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot by accident," Ah Heng replied softly.

Xin Dayi chuckled to himself.

"Laughing my ass!" Yan hope roared.

Xin Dayi retorted indignantly, "Tch! You're so capable, why don't you yell at Aheng? I even gave you a game console, and now your two months' worth of pocket money is gone!"

Yan Xiliang chimed in, "Hey, watch your Chinese! You're the one who broke my game console. This is compensation, not a gift, you know?"

"Stingy." Da Yi suddenly remembered something and said, "Lu Liu's mother has set up a table at Shangri-La today to celebrate your birthday and wants you to go early."

Yan Xi immediately frowned – “I’m not going, Aheng made lunch.”

Ah Heng said leisurely, "We're out of rice, so we didn't cook today..."

Siwan, who had just received her report card, came over and smiled, "Let's go, Yanxi, Aunt Lin has been preparing this for days."

Ah Heng glanced at Yan hope indifferently, then walked forward with Si Wan.

Yan Ximo reluctantly took a step.

When we arrived in Shangri-La, the scale of the banquet was no less impressive than the last one, and perhaps even more so.

Lin Ruomei was still wearing a white cheongsam with bright red plum blossoms adorned with silver threads, and white pearl earrings, exuding gentleness and nobility.

"The birthday boy is here." She smiled and stood up to greet Yan hope.

Just as Aheng lifted her left foot, Yan hope stepped in front of her and said with a light smile, "Aunt Lin, thank you for your help today."

Siwanda Yidu were somewhat surprised.

Lin Ruomei looked at Yan hope, her eyes just glancing at Aheng out of the corner of her eye—"Today is your birthday. Uncle Yan went to America. Auntie was worried that you two kids wouldn't be able to cook well at home, so she asked the chef here to make some of your favorite dishes."

Two? Yan hope glanced at Si Wan, who mouthed – My mom said so.

Da Yi looked around, a forced smile on his face—"Oh, Aunt Lin, you even bring bodyguards to your meal."

Lin Ruomei smiled faintly, waved her hand, and the leading secretary led a group of burly men in black clothes and sunglasses out.

The secretary, who had appeared refined and gentle, gave Yan hope a deep look as she left.

Aheng subconsciously lowered her eyes, and Yan hope's left and right feet were once again in that overlapping and intertwined position.

As everyone took their seats and the waiters served the food, Lin Ruomei smiled and said to Siwan, "Look, look, Aheng is such a beauty. Her looks are a combination of the best features of your parents."

Siwan looked at her younger sister and smiled—"Yes, Grandpa, Dad, and Mom all dote on her very much."

Ah Heng smiled and said, "Not at all, Aunt Lin, you're too kind."

After the cake was served, Siwan Dayi lit the candles, and Yan hope made a wish.

Lin Ruomei smiled gently and sweetly—"Baby, tell Auntie what you wished for."

Yan hope grabbed a piece of cream and threw it at Lin Ruomei's face, laughing freely—"I wish that Yan hope could live a few more years before I go crazy. Aunt Lin, what do you think of this wish?"

Siwan Dayi was stunned, at a loss for what to do as he looked at the elegant and graceful Lin Ruomei with her face covered in cream, which looked ridiculous and laughable.

“Sweetie, this wish isn’t good.” Lin Ruomei smiled, gently wiping away the cream, her eyes full of tenderness. “You’ve always been a crazy child since you were little.”

Honey, you're behaving like a childish doll, playing a clumsy prank.

Seeing that Lin Ruomei wasn't angry, Siwan kept trying to suppress something that frightened him. He tried to cover up his mistake by grabbing some cream and throwing it at everyone.

Dayi was a simple-minded and mischievous girl. Before long, she turned the entire private room upside down, splattering cream all over the place.

Yan hope was the birthday boy, and the cake had three layers, so in the end, he almost looked like a snowman, with a large dollop of cream stuck to his hair, face, and even his eyelashes.

Ah Heng laughed so hard she couldn't stand up straight, but Yan hope wiped a sticky, sweet mess all over her face.

The door to the private room opened, and the man who looked like a secretary walked in, carrying a black camera.
