Amor asesino - Capítulo 3

Capítulo 3

"Ah Cheng, what happened?" Ah Gu gripped Liang Cheng's arm tightly and said tremblingly.

Liang Cheng came out of the bathroom, plopped down on the sofa, and looked at A Gu beside him with a wary gaze.

"Are you really A-Gu? Were you really at work this morning?"

“What exactly happened? Of course I’m A-Gu. Why don’t you call driver Liu and have him prove that I was on duty this morning?” A-Gu said.

Liang Cheng knew that A Gu in front of him wasn't lying. He covered his face with his hands and muttered to himself, "Then, who is she? Who is she?"

"Her?" Agu became alert.

"There was a woman in this room this morning who looks exactly like you; I didn't even recognize her," Liang Cheng said, frowning.

Reply [5]: "It's her! I saw her! She was watching us last night!" Agu cried out in a trembling voice, hiding in Liang Cheng's arms, trembling with fear.

Liang Cheng was always calm and collected, but at this moment, he couldn't figure it out no matter how hard he thought about it. Who was this woman from this morning? Why did she look so much like A Gu? Why was she pretending to be A Gu? Why was she being intimate with him? Why did she switch the dishes with a blood fetus? The more he thought about it, the more questions arose, and Liang Cheng felt a chill of fear creeping over him.

"Do you have a twin sister?" Liang Cheng asked, as if he had just remembered something.

“You know I’m your only precious daughter,” A-Gu said.

“What I mean is, do you have a twin sister who was separated from you when you were little?” Liang Cheng said.

"I've never heard my parents mention this before," A-Gu said after a moment's thought.

"I think this house is a bit strange!" Liang Cheng glanced around the living room and felt that the room seemed much dimmer than usual, and somewhat eerie.

"Ah Cheng, have we encountered a ghost?" Ah Gu was terrified at the thought and hugged Liang Cheng tightly.

"No way, how could a ghost come out in broad daylight?" Liang Cheng reassured her, but a chill ran down his spine. He felt as if something in the room had changed, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.

Something had changed. His gaze shifted from the television to the stereo, then from the stereo to the coffee table, and finally settled on the wall. He finally noticed the change.

Even the boldest man in Liang Cheng couldn't help but gasp in surprise.

On the wall hung his and Agu's wedding photo. Agu, smiling gently, was wearing a wedding dress and holding his right arm. It was a warm and romantic photo. This photo was their favorite. But now, there were two Agus in the photo, one on the left and one on the right, sandwiching him in the middle. The two Agus had the same expression and were wearing the same white wedding dress, as if they were printed from the same mold.

This was quite a shock, and Liang Cheng was so frightened that he almost fell off the sofa.

A-Gu also noticed the changes in the photos. She gripped Liang Cheng's hand tightly, tears streaming down her face, and kept crying out, "How could this happen? How could this happen?"

Liang Cheng stumbled into the bedroom and froze. The entire room was covered with photos of A-Gu, from when she was a baby to after her marriage. Each photo featured two "A-Gus," like inseparable twin sisters. They stood side-by-side, wearing the same clothes, dressed the same, with the same expressions. But Liang Cheng could see that one of the A-Gus, though equally sweet, held a resentment in her eyes that was unspeakable, making it difficult to look directly at her.

Liang Cheng suddenly felt that A Gu in every photo was alive. Their eyes could move, and countless pairs of resentful eyes stared at him, like an invisible net covering him, suffocating him and making it impossible for him to break free.

"Why are you so good to her? This is not fair!" Liang Cheng seemed to hear A Gu speaking behind him, and suddenly turned around. He saw A Gu leaning weakly against the door, her eyes rolled back, her face pale, and she slowly collapsed to the ground.

The doctor told Liang Cheng that he was about to become a father.

This news was a godsend for Liang Cheng. He and A Gu had been married for three years but still didn't have children. The doctor's examination revealed that the problem lay with A Gu. Although Liang Cheng was very disappointed, he treated A Gu even better because he knew that this was probably the only time they would spend their lives together, supporting each other through thick and thin.

Reply [6]: I like ghost stories, why don't you like them?

Reply [7]: "Ah Cheng! Ah Cheng?" Ah Gu called out to Liang Cheng while unconscious. Liang Cheng quickly went over and held her hand. He found that Ah Gu was covered in sweat and looked to be in great pain.

"A-Gu!" Liang Cheng called her name.

"Go away! Go away! Ah Cheng! Don't leave me! Don't leave me!" Ah Gu waved his arms as if trying to drive something away, shouting as he woke up from his coma.

“I’m here, I’m right beside you,” Liang Cheng said.

As soon as Agu saw Liang Cheng, she burst into tears and buried her face in his shoulder.

“I dreamt that she was going to take you away from me, and she said I owed her too much!” A-Gu sobbed.

"Silly woman, this is just a nightmare! No one will take me away from me." Liang Cheng stroked her hair.

“I don’t want to go home anymore, she’s still waiting for us,” A-Gu said fearfully.

Liang Cheng nodded and said, "I've already called the police. I'll be going back with them later."

Agu grabbed him and said, "No, you mustn't go. She'll kill you."

Liang Cheng smiled and said, "Agu, I have some good news for you."

Agu looked at Liang Cheng, unable to think of any other good news.

“We’re going to have a child!” Liang Cheng said.

A-Gu's eyes widened in surprise. The news was too sudden for her; she wasn't prepared at all. Although she had been feeling nauseous frequently for the past few weeks, she attributed it to chronic gastritis and never imagined she was pregnant.

A-Gu was both nervous and excited. The young couple had almost forgotten the terrifying incident they had just experienced and were talking about their future child.

A short while later, the police found Liang Cheng and went back with him to check the house.

About an hour later, Liang Cheng returned to the hospital.

"It's really strange, everything there is exactly as it was, there's nothing there," Liang Cheng said, shaking his head.

A-Gu grabbed Liang Cheng's hand and said, "A-Cheng, I'm so scared. She's not human at all."
