Capítulo 73

Pedi stood to the side, looking Sehir up and down. He wasn't much younger than him, so why was he so insensitive? Shouldn't this little brat be making a scene right now?

"Can I go out?" Cecil walked steadily to the door and glanced back at Chacha.

Before Paddy could speak, Hall came out of the kitchen and immediately put down what he was carrying on the table when he saw Cecil.

“Master, he wants to go out,” Pedi repeated.

Hall glanced at the weather outside and handed the coat and hat hanging on the hanger to Cecil.

"Young Master, it's fine to just walk around nearby. If you go too far, I'm afraid some people might gossip."

Sehir nodded and put on the clothes that were two sizes too big for him.

As soon as the door opened, Hall grabbed Paddy's ear and said, "Stay put, or I'll break your legs!"

Pedi sighed helplessly, broke free from Hall's grasp, and followed behind Cecil.

It wasn't cold outside, and the coat kept out the wind blowing in from the alley. Cecil pulled his hat down low and walked slowly, step by step, close to the wall.

Pedi, who was standing beside him, got bored and started asking again, "Why did you commit suicide?"

Suddenly, Cecil stopped in his tracks, raised his head and looked at Paddy sideways. Paddy immediately realized that he deserved a beating and quickly closed his eyes to apologize.

"Sorry, just pretend I didn't say anything."

After speaking, he awkwardly opened one eye. Sehir's gaze remained fixed on Chacha's face, as if he were in a daze. It took him a while before he opened his mouth.

"Maybe the rain hadn't stopped at that time."

"Huh?" Pedi looked at Sehir with some confusion.

“It’s nothing.” Cecil turned his head away again and walked slowly.

Pedi felt a little embarrassed and couldn't think of a reply for a long time. After walking halfway down the alley, he suddenly remembered something.

“I remember the person who brought you here; he seemed really worried about you,” Pedi said to himself.

"It was raining really hard that day, the clouds were practically pressing down on us. We weren't supposed to be open, but when I heard it was Cretis, I opened the door, and guess what happened?"

Pedi paused for a moment: "As soon as that man came in, he threatened me with a dagger."

As Sehir listened, the corner of his lips twitched slightly; it was indeed Isri's style.

"What's your relationship with him? I've never seen a nervous person so nervous before." Pedi tilted his head back, recalling how he was at the time.

"What does it look like?" Sehir stopped again as the wind picked up in the alley.

As he spoke, Pedi suddenly became more talkative, moved closer to Cecil, and began to speak in a serious tone.

"When I was being threatened, the man was trembling violently. He was only wearing a thin shirt and was completely soaked, but you, whom he was holding in his arms, were not wet at all."

Just as Paddy was getting so into his story that he was almost moved, Cecil pulled him back to reality.

"Get to the point."

Pedi's eyebrows twitched twice before he regained his composure.

"He held you tightly, not daring to pull hard or relax, his eyes filled with terror and fear, as if the thing in his hands would disappear in the next second."

"After finally managing to get you onto the bed, he was so exhausted that he leaned against the wall and sat down on the floor."

After saying that, Pedi smacked his lips and said, "You know what? He almost got into a fight with my master that night."

Cecil's eyes showed a hint of emotion: "Did he say anything?"

"How do you know what he said?" Paddy asked, somewhat surprised. He replied, "I was in the room at the time and couldn't hear very clearly."

"Is he really worried about me?" Or is he just clinging to this toy he's about to lose?

Upon hearing Cecil's words, Paddy rushed to Cecil, grabbed his shoulder, and raised his voice slightly.

“I swear! Those eyes don’t lie. No one will show their most vulnerable side to others unless the situation is extremely dire.”

Cecil was startled by Pedi's sudden action; his long eyelashes trembled twice in the cold air, but his voice remained calm.

"So, where are they now?"

Where are those people who were so concerned about themselves now?

The sudden question startled Paddy, and looking into Cecil's eyes, he felt a little nervous.

"I...I don't know either, he hasn't come over for the past two days."

Pedi looked away, feeling as if he had done something wrong by being stared at by Cecil.

"Where did you go?" Cecil turned his head back and forth, raising his hand to lean against the wall as if to rest.

Pedi rubbed his messy hair and gave an awkward laugh: "I don't know either."

The hand that had been resting on the wall twitched slightly. Cecil turned around and looked at Paddy again, his gaze softening slightly.

"Let's go back."

Pedi turned to the side and nodded quickly: "Okay!"

He had never experienced such an ordeal in communicating with people before; it was truly agonizing for him.

Looking at his still unsteady steps, a hint of pity flashed in Pedi's eyes.

He didn't know what Cecil had gone through, nor did he know that he had tried to commit suicide, but all sorts of signs were rushing towards him, telling him the truth.

The person in front of him was very lonely.

"Hey!" Paddy called out from behind and ran up to Cecil.

“Let’s be friends,” Pedi said with a smile.

Chapter 122

Sehir looked up at the person standing in front of him, the light overhead making it hard to open his eyes.

"Me?" Cecil asked, opening his mouth in surprise.

“Yes!” Pedi grinned. “With you!”

Sehir looked away, walked past Paddy, and cleared his voice: "I don't need it."

Pedi froze on the spot. By the time he came to his senses and tried to call out to Cecil, Cecil had already pushed open the door and gone inside.

What does "no need" mean? Pedi kicked the trash on the ground aside and walked back with a gloomy face.

-

"Should we take action now?"

Let's go.

The voice came from an inconspicuous carriage; it was a girl's voice, and she didn't sound very old.

The person standing outside was now wearing a brown suit and gold-rimmed glasses, looking like a professor returning from the academy.

"Watch out for the steps." The man stood on the side of the carriage, extended his arm, and bowed respectfully.

The person in the carriage leaned out, her hand, clad in a lace glove, gently resting on the man's arm, her lips slightly upturned.

Thank you.

The girl was wearing a simple beige dress, and her face looked as if she had just recovered from a serious illness. As soon as she got off the carriage, the man did not put his hand down, but kept supporting the girl's arm.

However, no matter how pale her face was, her features remained unchanged. If you looked closely, her eyes were almost identical to those of the current queen.

Already strikingly handsome, he attracted many glances as he walked into the alley. The man maintained a smile, as if he was used to being in the public eye.

The door he had been eyeing for many days was finally in front of him. The man leaned forward and took a step, gently knocking three times with his white-gloved hand.

After waiting for a while, Pedi finally opened the door inside.

"Hello, are you here for a medical check-up or to pick up some medicine?" Pedi asked with a smile as he pushed open the door.

“Your Excellency, we have something to discuss with Duke Cretis.” The man bowed slightly, his voice soft.

Pedi tensed up and turned to call out to Hall.

Seeing Hall approach, the man repeated the same thing again, unhurriedly.

"What are you doing here looking for the Duke?" Hall pulled Pedi behind him without any politeness, looking down at the two strangers.

The man's expression remained unchanged: "We've been observing this for several days now."

Upon hearing the man's words, Hall's expression instantly darkened, and his tone became impatient: "What exactly do you want!"

Just as the man was about to explain, the girl behind him stepped forward and stood in front of him with a smile on her face.

"I'm sorry, you may not be able to make this decision yourself. We need to discuss it with Duke Cretis."

“You…” Hall looked at the girl as if he had seen her somewhere before.

The atmosphere between the two became slightly tense before there was movement behind BaN Hall. Cecil leaned out from the side, looked at the person in front of him, and raised his eyebrows slightly.

Looking for me?

"Greetings, Duke." The girl politely raised her head to meet Cecil's gaze.

“Come in and talk,” Sehir said, making way for them.

Seeing this, the man raised his arm again to support the girl. Unfortunately, Cecil turned around and saw this scene, his eyes not leaving her for a moment.

"Does the Duke have something to say?" the man asked, looking at Cecil.

"No," Cecil replied softly, taking steps toward his room.

Once Sehir sat back on the bed, he looked at the two people in front of him again, his gaze finally settling on the girl.

What is your relationship with the Queen?

The girl didn't bother to hide anything. She sat down on the stool next to her and said, "I am Bonal Irene, and the current queen is my sister."

Sehir paused for a second, then looked up at the person standing next to Bonal Irene, his tone becoming more relaxed.

"There's nothing I can do to help you."

Since they know I'm here, they must have been watching me for a long time, or perhaps they already knew I was here before I even woke up.

“No rush.” Bonar Irene smiled. “Your butler has been missing for two days, yet you’re not worried at all.”

Upon hearing the word "deacon," Cecil's eyes flickered, but quickly returned to calm: "Are you threatening me?"
