Capítulo 82

Yi Zhengwei raised an eyebrow, got out of the car, walked around to the front seat, opened the door for her, and pulled her out. "When have I ever failed to meet your demands?"

Upon hearing this, Song Qing felt a mix of emotions—sour, sweet, and bitter.

When he held her hand, it was icy cold, so he took out his coat from his bag and draped it over her shoulders, then embraced her as they walked slowly down the pedestrian street.

Song Qing stopped at a Louris brand store, pausing to look at the little red-starred rabbit on a low wooden shelf. Its adorable little hands were clenched into fists at its chest, its large face was adorned with two enormous red hearts as eyes, while its mouth was only lightly drawn, and its two ears drooped gracefully to its bottom, making it extremely cute and exquisite.

"This is Lin's latest work, do you like it?"

Song Qing chuckled and shook her head. "Lin is my college classmate. We've been separated for many years, but she sends me samples every year. She's probably too busy this year and forgot."

Yi Zhengwei laughed and said, "So her major wasn't design?"

"Yes, but I envy her. She has found her interests, and what she studies is no longer important."

He wanted to ask what Song Qing's interests were, but seeing Song Qing's ambiguous expression, he didn't say it aloud.

Halfway there, Song Qing bought a cup of milk tea, held it in both hands, and slowly sipped it. They never talked much when they were together, but they never felt awkward.

Yi Zhengwei had this feeling the first time they ate together at the Bamboo Garden.

It wasn't until Yi Mantian called to urge them to go home that they exchanged a smile and headed back. Nearby, a group of boys and girls who looked like students were excitedly screaming.

"Quick, quick, move a little closer."

"Oh dear, you idiot, I told you to move it down a little, your angle is wrong."

"What are you doing? If you're so capable, go and grab it yourself."

It turned out that the group of students were vying to get the Red Star Bunny from the game console. The boy in the middle, who was in charge of operating the machine, was already sweating profusely. He went back and forth several times, but he just missed out on Lin's new game.

Why not buy it at a store?

Yi Zhengwei laughed and said, "Firstly, this way I can get real benefits, and secondly, it's a challenge for myself."

Song Qing approached and found it quite interesting. Then he noticed a computer-based point-based game machine next to it, so the place wasn't as lively. Only five or six people were taking turns inserting coins to play.

Song Qing felt a little curious. She thought the Red Star Rabbit in this game console was bigger and easier to operate.

"Hey, I advise you not to go there. It's a scam. There's no way you can get five points there."

A female student gently tugged at Yi Zhengwei and kindly advised him.

Sure enough, no fewer than twenty people went on the machine, each bringing a lot of game coins, but all of them returned empty-handed.

Yi Zhengwei suddenly asked, "Xiao Qing, do you want to choose one?"

Song Qing nodded, and Yi Zhengwei gestured for her to wait beside him while he went inside to buy game currency.

He handed half a bag of game tokens to Song Qing, taking only one for himself.

Song Qing was secretly annoyed. She took the document with displeasure and said, "Yi Zhengwei, you are an arrogance."

She rubbed her hands together and rolled up her sleeves slightly, as if she wanted to make a big splash. Yi Zhengwei, on the other hand, leaned against the game machine with a smile, the game coin constantly flipping and turning in his hand.

The students, disheartened by the clamping machine, turned to watch, cheering and shouting encouragement, while others remained dismissive.

After using most of her time, Song Qing realized that this was a gamble where nine out of ten times you lose. Every time she reached four points, she would suddenly get a negative number, and her scores would drop. She refused to believe that she had hundreds of chances and couldn't reach the top.

Eventually, she ran out of coins. She was practically fighting for her life against the game machine. After using her last coin, she suddenly slammed the STOP button, angrily exclaiming, "What a big liar!"

Yi Zhengwei looked at her and chuckled to himself; she really wasn't suited to be a gambler.

But he was a born gambler, a born businessman who was destined to invest.

Song Qing stared at the silver coin in his hand, but Yi Zhengwei shook his head. "Let me do it."

It was already past midnight, just past twelve o'clock. The large stone bell in the square struck twelve times with great force. The streets were deserted, but the two of them were completely unaware.

One coin, three chances. Yi Zhengwei didn't press the button easily. He just closed his eyes and thought for a while, as if watching a movie in his mind. Then suddenly, without hesitation, he pressed STOP. Three, two, one. The red star rabbit in the center fell down with a thud. The alarm sounded. Immediately, staff opened the cover for them, gave them the gift, and said congratulations.

Song Qing cheered inwardly, holding the rabbit in her arms through the bag. Although the achievement belonged to Yi Zhengwei, she was still very happy.

She somewhat understood those students; it was indeed much more satisfying than taking out a credit card to buy things in the store.

Yi Zhengwei took her cold hand and led her back.

"Zhengwei, you should thank me for my many failures, otherwise, how would you know when to stop?"

Yi Zhengwei smiled and remained silent. He was good at summarizing and reflecting, and drawing on experience, which was not something everyone could do, but failure was easy for him.

His profession never allows him to fail; his decisions and vision must be ahead of their time, and he cannot simply follow the crowd or blindly follow trends.

This applies to all jobs, but investing demands even more.

A computer is not a human brain. It can grasp the psychology of most people, but not him.

He felt the same way about Song Qing. Even now, he still couldn't figure out why Song Qing would take the initiative to surprise him by coming to pick him up at the airport.

Even after getting into the car, Song Qing's excitement hadn't subsided, and Yi Zhengwei knew she wasn't focused on driving. He wondered to himself, if the other option were ten million, would Song Qing still choose this rabbit?

A woman's mind is indeed hard to fathom.

Song Qing held Xiao Tu's two clasped hands, leaned slightly towards Yi Zhengwei, and smiled with narrowed eyes: "Isn't it cute? Lin's designs are getting better and better. I think I should call and congratulate her."

Yi Zhengwei subtly took out his phone, and in silent mode, captured Song Qing's rare smile.

She will never know that her expression just now was exactly the same as that of Red Star Rabbit.
