Finding Chen Xuanzang was a piece of cake for Li Yao.
Unless Chen Xuanzang is already dead!
Because Li Yao possesses a divine eye that can see through all things and perceive thousands of miles.
In fact, he also used his Heavenly Eye to search for the whereabouts of Five Finger Mountain, but he found nothing.
Therefore, he can only place his hopes on Chen Xuanzang now.
He and Xiaobai rode on the back of the yellow bird, and then activated their Heavenly Eye.
On his forehead, beams of light swirled, and soon a vertical eye appeared.
His vertical eye sharpened as he began to scan his surroundings.
After searching for a while, he finally found Chen Xuanzang.
In the midst of towering mountains, Chen Xuanzang was walking with a dejected expression, carrying a pile of what appeared to be Buddhist implements on his back.
However, these magical artifacts have no spiritual energy whatsoever; they are just ordinary mortal objects.
Chen Xuanzang's hair was a mess, like a chicken coop.
At that moment, he was holding a stick in his hand, leaning on it as he walked listlessly, looking just like a beggar.
However, Li Yao noticed that Chen Xuanzang was surrounded by a faint, multicolored Buddhist light.
As expected of the protagonist of this world, he constantly possesses great fortune and is secretly protected by Buddhism.
Behind Chen Xuanzang, there was another figure, who followed closely behind him.
That figure is Miss Duan.
This Miss Duan is truly devoted; Chen Xuanzang has repeatedly stated that he will not marry her.
However, Miss Duan persisted and wouldn't let Chen Xuanzang go.
In the original storyline, at the suggestion of one of her followers, Miss Duan planned to change her image and play a charming and alluring woman to confess her love to Chen Xuanzang.
As a result, they messed things up and caused Chen Xuanzang to misunderstand Miss Duan.
After that, wherever Chen Xuanzang appeared, Miss Duan would also appear.
This was clearly not a coincidence, but rather Miss Duan had been secretly following Chen Xuanzang.
Just like now.
Because Chen Xuanzang's cultivation level was very low, he was completely unaware that Miss Duan was following him.
Li Yao noticed that Chen Xuanzang was constantly on his way, as if he were searching for something.
A thought struck him: Could it be that Chen Xuanzang was looking for the Five Finger Mountain?
In the original storyline, the process of Chen Xuanzang searching for the Five Finger Mountain was portrayed very simply.
It's a very simple map, marking Chen Xuanzang's starting point and the words "Five Finger Mountain," then connecting them with an arrow to represent Chen Xuanzang's journey to find Five Finger Mountain.
Although this process only lasts a few seconds in the movie, in reality, Chen Xuanzang spent several months on it.
Because Chen Xuanzang had virtually no magical abilities, he could only walk.
Moreover, Wuzhishan is located in a mountainous area, and its exact location is almost unknown to most people.
If Chen Xuanzang hadn't been the protagonist of this world, probably no one would have been able to discover the exact location of Wuzhi Mountain.
After traversing mountains and rivers, Chen Xuanzang finally found a long-abandoned dilapidated temple.
Although the temple is dilapidated, the remaining ruins show that it was once a large and prosperous temple.
Upon seeing this, Li Yao's heart stirred.
He still remembered that in the original story, Chen Xuanzang's master instructed him that Wuzhi Mountain was near a dilapidated temple.
Could this be the dilapidated temple?
At this moment, Chen Xuanzang searched the dilapidated temple but did not find the huge Buddha statue that his master had mentioned.
Feeling somewhat disheartened, Chen Xuanzang went to a water vat in a dilapidated temple to wash his face.
While Chen Xuanzang was washing his face, he noticed that four characters were projected onto the surface of the water from the inner wall of the vat:
A mirage!
Suddenly, Chen Xuanzang had an epiphany.
Chen Xuanzang immediately went to the gate of the dilapidated temple, sat cross-legged, closed his eyes slightly, and began to meditate.
At this moment, a faint Buddhist light shimmered around Chen Xuanzang.
Suddenly, Chen Xuanzang opened his eyes and looked into the distance ahead.
What had been a desolate landscape of towering mountains in front of them suddenly changed.
At this moment, it has become a continuous mountain range, and in front of the mountain range appears a lake stretching for thousands of miles.
At the same time, Li Yao also noticed this unusual change.
The mountain range was reflected on the lake, forming a unified whole with the lake surface.
If you look at this mountain range and its reflection on the lake together, it looks like a giant Buddha statue lying on its side on the lake!
This Buddha statue is about 1,300 zhang tall and about 256 zhang wide, as if it were naturally formed.
The Buddha statue gleamed with gold, exuding an aura of solemnity and reverence.
Wuzhishan!
Li Yao's heart stirred.
This must be Wuzhi Mountain!
This Five Finger Mountain has always been hidden by Buddha, and even Li Yao's Heavenly Eye could not find it.
Clearly, this was a deliberate formation set up by Buddha to prevent demons from rescuing Sun Wukong, concealing the Five Finger Mountain and making it impossible for anyone to find it.
This is why Wuzhishan has always remained just a legend, and no one has ever found it.
As the pilgrims chosen by Buddha to retrieve the scriptures, Chen Xuanzang and Sun Wukong were guided by Buddha step by step to reach the Five Finger Mountain and find Sun Wukong.
Therefore, as soon as Chen Xuanzang arrived here, the formation here was automatically dispelled because of him.
In this way, Wuzhi Mountain was revealed.
Li Yao was thus able to discover the traces of Wuzhi Mountain.
In the original story, Sun Wukong was suppressed by Buddha in a cave beneath a lotus flower on Five Fingers Mountain.
Li Yao quickly scanned the area and soon spotted a patch of lotus flowers.
These lotus flowers were not growing in the pond, but among a pile of rocks.
These lotus flowers are extraordinary. Their petals are like white jade, and their leaves are as green as jade. They shimmer with Buddhist light, and a faint mist rises up, enveloping the surrounding area in a rich spiritual aura.
Even though they were thousands of miles apart, Li Yao could still sense that these lotus flowers, surrounded by Buddhist light, formed a sealing array that enveloped an area of hundreds of miles.
Soon, Li Yao discovered a particularly eye-catching lotus flower, beneath which seemed to lie a cave.
However, this lotus flower emitted layers of mist, containing powerful spiritual energy, which prevented Li Yao's Heavenly Eye from penetrating it.
As a result, Li Yao was also unable to investigate the situation inside the cave beneath the lotus flower.
It seems that this Buddha is no ordinary being, having set up numerous restrictions that prevent anyone from investigating Sun Wukong's situation.
Li Yao did not forcibly break these restrictions, but decided to observe them first.
The fact that Tathagata could set up these restrictions, which even his divine eye could not see through, is enough to show that the Tathagata in this world is indeed extremely powerful.
He'll assess the situation first!
At this moment, Chen Xuanzang had already discovered Wuzhi Mountain.
He was extremely excited and quickly set off towards Wuzhi Mountain ahead.
Although the Buddha statue looked very close to the ruined temple, as if it were right at the temple's entrance.
However, in reality, the Buddha statue was dozens of miles away from the dilapidated temple.
After traversing mountains and valleys for several days, Chen Xuanzang finally arrived at Wuzhi Mountain.
Chen Xuanzang quickly found a patch of lotus flowers.
Like Li Yao, Chen Xuanzang's gaze was also drawn to a particularly eye-catching lotus flower.
Chen Xuanzang hurried over, reached out and parted the lotus flowers, discovered a cave, and jumped down.
Chen Xuanzang held an oil lamp in his hand, trying to see the situation inside the cave.
Suddenly, a dark figure appeared out of nowhere and pounced on Chen Xuanzang, rubbing against him in a clumsy manner, as if he had seen a beautiful woman.
Moreover, the dark figure emitted a series of eerie "hehehe" laughs, which startled Chen Xuanzang so much that he almost dropped the oil lamp in his hand.
Unexpectedly, the dark figure kept rubbing against Chen Xuanzang.
"Get out of the way! Get out of the way!"
Seeing the dark figure constantly creeping closer, Chen Xuanzang quickly took a few steps back, creating distance between himself and the figure.
Then he said, "I've come to find Sun Wukong."
"Me! Me! Me!"
"Sun Wukong, Sun Wukong, Sun Wukong!"
"The Great Sage Equal to Heaven, Sun Wukong!"
The dark figure grinned, laughing incessantly with a fawning expression, jumping around while pointing at itself.
"You are Sun Wukong?"
Chen Xuanzang raised the oil lamp in his hand, and by its light, he looked the dark figure up and down.
The dark figure was wearing a tattered gray robe covered in mud.
The dark figure was half bald, with only a ring of hair around its head that cascaded back. Its face was covered in dust, making it look like a savage.
Chen Xuanzang felt a sense of doubt.
Shouldn't Sun Wukong, the mighty king of demons, be a fierce and awe-inspiring figure?
