Chapitre 79

On Saturday, Su Mo invited her to a concert by a foreign piano master she admired years ago. She'd heard that tickets were incredibly hard to come by after his concert in Jiangcheng, and she didn't know how Su Mo had managed to get two VIP front-row tickets.

Jiang Jianhuan had just returned from a coastal city the day before, and she had been searching for fabric for a coat for many days.

The green she wanted was so rare; it wasn't available in many fabric markets.

When I met Su Mo, she had just gotten off the train and had gone home to take a quick shower and change her clothes.

Because she wasn't sure when she would return, she had to buy a ticket at the last minute, and all that was left were hard seats on the train. Midway through the journey, an elderly woman holding a child couldn't get a seat, so Jiang Jianhuan got up and gave it to her, standing for most of the night.

The performance was about to begin, and many people were entering the concert hall. Jiang Jianhuan spotted Su Mo standing on the steps at a glance.

He was wearing a white shirt and trousers, with a tall and straight figure, his hair neatly combed, revealing a smooth and full forehead, and a fair and handsome face.

The weather was lovely today, and the evening breeze was still a bit hot. He had his suit jacket draped over his arm.

He was just like an ordinary man standing there, waiting for his girlfriend.

"Aren't you afraid of being discovered?" Jiang Jianhuan walked over, observing the surroundings, and asked him in a low voice, while her eyes were glancing left and right.

"I'm scared." Su Mo smiled, took her hand and placed it in the crook of his arm, and the two walked inside hand in hand.

"But I'd rather have a proper date with you."

"Are you crazy?!" Jiang Jianhuan gritted her teeth, looking at him as if he were a lunatic.

I still vividly remember the previous times he was photographed like this, and the overwhelming discussion online. And now he's just standing here so openly. It's insane.

"Are you scared?" Su Mo looked at her earnestly.

"I never care about things on the internet. I'm not a celebrity, just a singer. I just need to do my job and sing quietly."

"If I can't even give you the most basic things, then I'd rather not have this identity."

"..." Jiang Jianhuan didn't know what to say. Su Mo had always been like this, stubborn and proud, never compromising for anything. But he probably underestimated his influence.

"Were you discovered by anyone else just now?" Jiang Jianhuan didn't argue with him about this question, but instead asked a different one. Su Mo thought for a moment.

"Two people asked me for autographs, and I told them to keep their voices down."

"Okay." It's good that it didn't attract a crowd.

"Don't worry, not many people will recognize me," Su Mo comforted her.

Actually, it was already getting dark, and the light wasn't very clear after the sun went down. He was standing next to a pillar, so he wasn't very noticeable.

Moreover, Su Mo rarely appears in public. In previous years, apart from holding concerts, almost no one knew what he looked like unless they deliberately looked for his video materials, but even then, there were very few clear ones.

Very few of his music videos feature him in person; some only show his profile or figure, with no close-up shots or clear photos leaked.

Although he recently accepted many commercial performances and advertisements, brands have been trying to avoid using his full-face photos at his request. Su Mo only had this one requirement when accepting endorsements, and most of them agreed to it; those who were unwilling did not reach an agreement.

So unless you're a die-hard fan, you won't remember what he looks like and recognize him.

There is a certain difference between the real person on camera and the real person off camera. In addition, Su Mo deliberately avoided him, so there are not many people who can recognize him accurately.

Many people have heard his songs, but that doesn't mean everyone knows what he looks like.

The two found their seats and sat down. The seats were very close to the stage, where a piano and other musical instruments were set up and everyone was already in place.

There were some whispers among the audience, but they quickly fell silent after the music started, leaving only the gentle sound of the piano in the entire hall.

The headlamp's light was a warm yellow, soft and comfortable. The seat underneath was soft and spacious. At first, Jiang Jianhuan was still immersed in the excitement and joy of meeting her idol, and was listening to the music with great energy.

In the second half, several piano pieces played softly and ethereally, echoing in my ears and penetrating my mind, as beautiful as lullabies.

As Jiang Jianhuan listened, her eyes involuntarily closed, overwhelmed by an irresistible drowsiness, and she was enveloped in darkness.

Su Mo felt a weight on his shoulder, and the person next to him fell onto his shoulder. He turned his head and saw Jiang Jianhuan with his eyes closed, sleeping soundly.

Her delicate and pretty face clearly showed signs of fatigue, with a faint blue ring under her eyes. A pang of heartache flashed in Su Mo's eyes. She reached out and gently brushed her eyes away, then couldn't help but place a kiss on her forehead.

When she looked up, her eyes met those of the person opposite her. Sitting next to Jiang Jianhuan was a young girl. When she saw Su Mo's face, her eyes widened and her lips parted slightly, as if she was about to exclaim in surprise.

"Shh." Su Mo held up one finger, gesturing to her.

The girl tried her best to suppress her shock and excitement, silently mouthing the words.

"Su Mo!! You are Su Mo!!!"

Su Mo didn't answer, but simply unfolded the suit jacket in her hand and gently covered Jiang Jianhuan with it. She unconsciously let out a soft moan, moved her head slightly, and shifted her position on his shoulder.

The girl next to him was still secretly glancing at him, her attention seemingly shifting from the concert to him. Su Mo felt a little helpless, took out his phone, typed a few words, and then held the screen up in front of her.

You've mistaken me for someone else. Please don't take pictures, thank you.

A complex expression flashed across the girl's face. She scrutinized him for a few seconds, then gave him an "I understand" look before turning her head away, forcing herself to suppress her excitement and try to concentrate on the concert.

Jiang Jianhuan slept soundly, seemingly sinking into a deep sleep and losing consciousness. Su Mo eventually woke her up.

The music had come to an end, and the audience was gradually preparing to leave. She blinked dazedly, and for a few seconds she didn't know where she was.

"It's over, we can go now." Su Mo whispered in her ear. Jiang Jianhuan realized what was happening and immediately sat up straight, her suit jacket slipping off her shoulders.

She stood up with Su Mo and noticed that the girl in the next seat was looking at them with a strange expression. Before she could think about it, Su Mo put his arm around her shoulder and led her out.

My body was still a little weak and my mind was sluggish after waking up. It wasn't until I went outside and felt the night breeze that I truly woke up.

"I'm sorry... I fell asleep just now." Jiang Jianhuan felt apologetic. Su Mo was so busy, but she made time for the whole show and even bought front-row tickets, only to have Jiang Jianhuan sleep through most of the performance.

"It was my oversight; I should have let you rest at home." Su Mo rubbed her head and sighed softly.
