Soon a unicorn radiating pure white light appeared. This unicorn was like a forest sprite, nimbly moving through the woods.
Upon reaching the open space, the unicorn stopped, and the moonlight shone upon it, making its radiance even more sacred.
A pure white unicorn with no stray hairs is sure to captivate many.
Unfortunately, unicorns are usually solitary creatures and do not get close to humans, so they are rarely seen by ordinary people.
"it's beautiful!"
George couldn't help but let out a sigh, and Fred quickly covered his mouth.
They'd been keeping watch for days, waiting for the unicorn to shed its fur. If they startled it and it escaped, they'd have nowhere to turn to cry.
Click!
Fred looked down and realized that he had accidentally crushed a piece of dead wood.
Fred cursed his bad luck and quickly looked up at the unicorn.
The sound of the dead wood breaking alerted the unicorn. It looked around but didn't see Hao Yun and the other two. However, being naturally wary, it decided to leave.
Seeing the unicorn turn and run away, Fred sighed. Oh no, it looks like his allowance will be reduced this year.
"What a pity. Let's go and see if it has left any mane."
When George saw the unicorn disappear, he stopped hiding and ran to an open space to search for treasure.
After searching for a long time, the twin brothers found a few hairs.
This was already a windfall for them; if they sold it to a shop, it would be worth at least a few Galleons.
"Haha, not bad haul! Since you're here too, we'll share some with you after we sell it!"
After carefully putting away the unicorn mane, George generously put his arm around Hao Yun's shoulder.
"No need, you guys found it. I just came to join in the fun. I'm already very satisfied to have seen a unicorn."
Hao Yun rejected George's suggestion; with Hagrid around, he could come into the Forbidden Forest anytime.
"Alright then, the unicorn has run away, let's go explore other places."
George and Fred led Hao Yun on a tour around the perimeter of the Forbidden Forest.
To be honest, these two were quite cunning. They had practically figured out the outer area of the Forbidden Forest, and they led Hao Yun around several dangerous spots.
"That's enough, it's getting late, let's go back."
Hao Yun yawned and urged the two to return to the castle.
The twin brothers were somewhat dissatisfied, having gained nothing but unicorn hair, and secretly thought that they had bad luck today.
"Hey, what's that?"
Just as Fred was about to leave, he noticed a dark shadow flash by in the moonlight in the dark woods.
There's nothing there, you must be mistaken.
George looked in the direction Fred pointed, saw nothing, yawned, and pulled Fred outside.
Of the three people present, only Hao Yun became vigilant, because he suddenly remembered that Voldemort was currently at Hogwarts.
If I remember correctly, this guy comes to the Forbidden Forest to drink unicorn blood.
Could the unicorn that George and his companion discovered be Voldemort's target? If so, what Fred saw earlier was very likely Voldemort scouting the location.
"Hao Yun, let's go!"
Seeing that Hao Yun hadn't moved, George urged him on.
Shh, don't speak!
Hao Yun pulled the two of them behind a big tree and peered around.
George and Fred, seeing Hao Yun's unusual behavior, assumed he had discovered something, so they also looked around.
What did you see?
Hao Yun did not answer George's question because he sensed a sense of unease; it seemed that the three of them were being watched.
"It's nothing, let's go back to sleep."
Hao Yun calmly replied, only to be met with disdain from the twin brothers.
Once outside the forbidden forest, the sense of being watched disappeared. Hao Yun glanced back into the forest and saw a figure flash by on a large tree.
"Phew~"
Hao Yun breathed a sigh of relief, unsure whether to marvel at their good or bad luck, that they had stumbled upon Voldemort on a casual trip to the Forbidden Forest.
"You two shouldn't come to the Forbidden Forest for a while. If you want to collect materials for magical creatures, I can have Hagrid take you in."
To prevent the twin brothers from trespassing into the Forbidden Forest and encountering Voldemort, Hao Yun had no choice but to warn them.
"You know Hagrid?"
When George asked the question, Hao Yun answered it truthfully.
"Well, we have a pretty good relationship. My usual expenses are covered by what I get from the Forbidden Forest."
Chapter 280 Stealing Herbs
Great minds think alike!
George chuckled and gave Hao Yun a thumbs up.
“Since you know Hagrid, that makes things much easier. We usually avoid Hagrid when we run into him. He’s chased us out of the Forbidden Forest several times before.”
Hao Yun glanced at the two of them helplessly. "Hagrid wouldn't care about you if he wasn't afraid you'd die inside."
“The Forbidden Forest is very dangerous. Hagrid is worried about your safety. If you want to go to the Forbidden Forest again, I'll ask Hagrid to take you in.”
George and Fred rubbed their hands excitedly and began discussing the division of the spoils with Hao Yun.
“No problem, from now on, if the two of us brothers go in, no matter how much money we get, we’ll split it 50/50!”
"Alright, let's go back to sleep, I'm so sleepy."
Hao Yun yawned and quickened his pace.
Back at the castle, Hao Yunxin finally felt relieved. Even if Voldemort had lost his mind, he wouldn't have killed the three of them inside the castle.
Back in the Gryffindor common room, Hao Yun lay on his bed and began to think. He realized that he had been so focused on blacksmithing that his brain had become sluggish, and he had actually forgotten about Voldemort.
Voldemort is now possessing Professor Quirrell, presumably primarily for the Philosopher's Stone.
As for the savior Harry Potter, Voldemort probably didn't even consider him a threat.
Taking a deep breath, Hao Yun got out of bed, sat cross-legged, and began to meditate.
There's no use thinking about it now. You have to be strong yourself. As long as you're strong enough, Voldemort will be at your mercy.
Today's experience with the forest ban has given Hao Yun a sense of crisis.
Voldemort is not at his peak right now, but even so, Hao Yun feels that his chances of winning against Voldemort are only 20% to 30%.
This win rate is only possible when attacked by a flying sword.
Clearing his mind of distractions, Hao Yun circulated his cultivation technique, absorbing the spiritual energy of heaven and earth and transforming it into spiritual power.
The spiritual energy in this place is very thin, so even if Hao Yun tries his best to cultivate his technique, his progress is very slow.
As dawn broke, Hao Yun opened his eyes, finished his practice, and exhaled a breath of stale air.
"I have to go steal herbs tonight."
Having made up his mind, Hao Yun took advantage of his free time during the day to scout out the herbal medicine room.
After circling around, Hao Yun located the herbs he needed, memorized their locations, and then left as if nothing had happened.
The daytime classes were boring, and Hao Yun couldn't play with a group of eleven-year-olds at all.
As for the knowledge taught by professors, it is the most basic of the basics.
Having acquired Voldemort's memories, Hao Yun could learn them simply by flipping through a book.
To avoid wasting time, Hao Yun would sit in a corner to absorb the spiritual energy of heaven and earth during class.
After patiently waiting a day, Hao Yun couldn't wait to sneak into the herb room and plunder it.
Hao Yun was very cunning; many of the herbs he stole were ones whose uses Mrs. Sprout did not know.
Mrs. Sprout, who loved flowers and plants, had her treasured collection of many years completely looted by Hao Yun.
The next morning, Mrs. Sprout stormed into the principal's office in a rage.
"Dumbledore, my herb room has been ransacked again! Not only that, but even the flowers and plants I planted have been uprooted. This time, I must catch the culprit no matter what!"
Dumbledore looked at the furious Mrs. Sprout and was speechless at Hao Yun.
Everyone knows that Mrs. Sprout has a very good temper and never gets angry.
Silently apologizing, Dumbledore decided to implicate Hao Yun to appease Mrs. Sprout's anger.
“I know who stole your herbs. I’ll take you to him. I think there must be a reason why he stole your herbs.”
Mrs. Sprout snorted and kicked open the principal's office door without saying a word before walking out.
Dumbledore, seeing Sprout in a frenzy, could only pray that Hao Yun wouldn't be killed.
The two arrived at the Gryffindor common room, where the young wizards, seeing Mrs. Sprout's angry expression, all kept their distance.
"Isn't that Professor Sprout? What happened to her?"
"I don't know, does any of you know what happened?"
The bewildered young wizards shook their heads, and one of them whispered something.
"Let's follow them and see."
A group of young wizards hid nearby, whispering amongst themselves while secretly observing the situation.
Dumbledore led Sprout into the Gryffindor common room and headed straight for Hao Yun's room.
Pushing open the door, the room was empty.
