Глава 21

Back home, Ma Xiaoniu was still nauseous; it was absolutely disgusting! The superpower was good, but it was just awful! Ma Xiaoniu decided he would never use that skill again today!

After a thorough wash, I opened my laptop in the living room. I logged into the Demon Forum and posted the case. Soon after it was posted, the number of replies increased rapidly.

"Ugh! What is this?"

"Holy crap, I was eating! Oh my god!"

What is that dark thing?

"Upstairs, M-field poop."

"That's terrible! Isn't this a bit too much?"

"What's so terrible about it? It didn't happen to you!"

"Holy crap, that's ruthless!"

"A demon, it really is a demon!"

"How the hell did that happen?"

"We are the MY District Public Security Bureau of X City. You devil, you have one hour to turn yourself in, or you will face the consequences!"

"Hehe, upstairs!"

"Same as above!"

"Same as above!"

...

In the office of the Criminal Investigation Brigade of Fengxian County Public Security Bureau, Sun Weiran stared at the post that had just been published on the Demon Forum with a livid face.

"Bang!" Sun Weiran slammed his hand on the desk, sending his laptop flying high into the air. The other members of the office were startled, but they all lowered their heads and went back to their work.

"They're fucking arrogant! A series of crimes! A series of crimes!" Veins throbbed on Sun Weiran's forehead, his anger overflowing. "And we...we were completely helpless! Completely helpless! It's simply...it's simply..."

Xiao Jin, standing nearby, handed him a glass of water. "Sun, calm down. We've already asked our superiors for help with the 'Demon' case, so why are you so angry?" (The recent encoding issues motivate us to update faster; please exit reading mode if you'd like. Thank you.)

===Chapter Twenty===

Sun Weiran's eyes widened: "The lives of the people are paramount! Although the case has been reported, we cannot stand idly by!"

“But Mr. Sun, look at these dead people. They were either murderers or arsonists, or they committed all sorts of evil deeds. I feel like they were done by demons… uh…” Xiao Li’s voice trailed off as he spoke, because Sun Weiran was glaring at him fiercely.

"Bullshit!" Sun Weiran slammed his hand on the table again, looking around. "Although these victims deserved to die, punishing them is the state's business! It's our public security's business! What right does that devil have to punish them?! Besides, if that devil has solved the case, what are we, the Fengxian Public Security Bureau, doing? Just sitting around doing nothing?!"

Everyone in the office kept their heads down, and no one answered. Sun Weiran looked dejected, picked up her water glass, took a sip, and gazed out the window. Perhaps it was time for her to retire…

...

Opening the case submission area, there are currently several hundred cases submitted, but Ma Xiaoniu still can't complete many of them! It's all because of this darn time limit! Fortunately, the time limit has now been changed to two days. If the time limit increases accordingly as the level increases, then eventually all these cases will be completed!

What worries Ma Xiaoniu is whether, with the extension of the time limit, the draw will become once every two days.

I casually browsed through the posts, got bored, closed my laptop, and went to bed to read.

Time passed midnight without us realizing it, but there was still no response. It seems that as the task time extends, the extraction time also extends accordingly.

...

The next morning, Ma Xiaoniu got up early, washed up, and went to the yard. Stretching, he suddenly felt bored. He'd had daily tasks lately, and now that they were gone, he felt like he had nothing to do. Ma Xiaoniu thought of the manure spot again. "Could it be that this skill can only be used on humans?" he wondered.

Ma Xiaoniu's eyes lit up; perhaps he could give it a try. He sat down on the stone bench in the yard, silently chanting "pitter-patter" towards the jujube tree. After about two seconds, the tree suddenly trembled, the trembling becoming increasingly violent, until it was like a sieve. A while later, specks of dark green sap began to seep from the tree's strong branches, as if it were sweating or bleeding. The dark green sap increased, gradually dripping down the trunk. Ma Xiaoniu quickly retreated into the house, knowing that the jujube tree's canopy was now exceptionally large, covering his neighbor's house and even his neighbor's house.

The dark green liquid dripped more and more, gradually wetting the ground. However, unlike rain, which is transparent, the liquid was dark green. So in just a short while, the entire ground, including the roof, seemed to have been dyed and turned dark green.

The shaking lasted for about half an hour before finally stopping, and the dark green sap gradually decreased until it disappeared. Looking at the jujube tree again, it seemed as if something had changed. The originally gray bark had become moist and even had a sheen, and the newly sprouted leaves appeared even greener. In short, the old jujube tree, which was already several decades old, seemed to have regained its youth in an instant.

It can actually revive plants? This is practically a miracle for some sick plants!

A knocking sound rang out at the door, followed by the voice of their neighbor, Uncle Ma: "Hey, Xiao Niu, are you home?"

Ma Xiaoniu quickly ran over and opened the courtyard gate. There stood Uncle Ma, a man in his sixties or seventies, whose hair had turned dark green, and whose body was covered in green and black patches, as if he'd been splashed with paint. Even his face looked like it was covered in flowers. Ma Xiaoniu immediately understood what had happened and quickly invited Uncle Ma to sit in the living room.

Uncle Ma gave a wry smile and shook his head: "I won't go in, but Xiao Niu, you really need to take good care of this jujube tree. It might have gotten sick! Also, you'd better prune the branches. I don't mind, but those branches are really a nuisance; they're sticking out into the house!"

Ma Xiaoniu quickly smiled apologetically: "Okay, Uncle Ma, I'll go get it trimmed today!"

Uncle Ma nodded and shuffled towards the village entrance, not caring about his appearance. After Uncle Ma left, Ma Xiaoniu looked at the messy courtyard and gave a bitter laugh. He brought it all on himself!

It took me over an hour to clean the yard. As for the roof, well, it should be fine after the next rain, right? Next up is Uncle Ma's yard. Uncle Ma is in his sixties or seventies, I can't exactly ask him to clean it, can I? Besides, it was our own jujube tree that caused the mess, so we have to clean it up ourselves!

It took another two hours to tidy up Uncle Ma's yard and his neighbor's yard. Next, they pruned the branches. Ma Xiaoniu hadn't expected the jujube tree, which had been given a growth-enhancing spell, to grow so lushly. Many branches drooped down to the roofs of other people's houses, and some longer branches even stretched into the houses through the windows. Luckily, the people of Ma Village were quite kind; otherwise, wouldn't there have been a huge argument?

Without any special pruning shears, he had to go home and grab a vegetable knife. Then, taking advantage of the fact that no one was around, he teleported up the tree and stood on the trembling branches. Although Ma Xiaoniu knew he had the teleportation skill and would be fine, he was still a little shaky. It seems his fear of heights hasn't been completely eradicated.

Stepping on the thicker branches and gripping the twigs in his hands, Ma Xiaoniu crawled forward step by step. He would cut off any long branches he saw with a single stroke. With several points added to his physique, Ma Xiaoniu was noticeably stronger.

"Little Niu! Be careful!" Uncle Ma's neighbor, Ma Dazhuang, and his wife, Zhou Yunyun, called out from below. Ma Dazhuang, true to his name, was as strong as a bear, but not very bright. His wife, however, was shrewd and quick-witted. The couple were of the same generation as Ma Xiaoniu and usually addressed him by his first name.

"Alright! Dazhuang, you two didn't go to work today?" Ma Xiaoniu said as he chopped tree branches. Ma Dazhuang and his wife worked in a small factory in Caoxiang.

"Alas! I'm afraid I won't be able to work anymore!" Dazhuang sighed as he sat by the stone table in the courtyard. His wife also looked sorrowful.

Ma Xiaoniu stopped. It seemed that Dazhuang and his wife had encountered some difficulties.

"What happened, Dazhuang? Tell me."
