Глава 132

Fang Bai smiled and said, "Journey."

After saying that, Fang Bai took the globe from Ji Yuning's arms, carried it around the coffee table, and finally placed it steadily on the empty space between the coffee table and the TV cabinet.

The red wooden floor complements the blue accents.

Fang Bai straightened up and waved to the person on the sofa, "Auntie, you've put it away."

Ji Yuning walked up to Fang Bai, paused, and said, "You chose it yourself."

Um?

Wasn't this what you were supposed to do?

Fang Bai was about to retort when Ji Yuning grabbed his hand.

Fang Bai thought it would be like before, just a few laps and that would be it.

Who knows…

Five minutes later.

Fang Bai asked softly, "Xiao Ning, is it okay now?"

Ten minutes.

Fang Bai said, "Xiao Ning, Auntie is a little dizzy."

Three more minutes passed.

Fang Bai said sadly, "Ji Yuning, I'm tired~"

This time, Ji Yuning finally stopped. She turned to look at Fang Bai and asked, "Are we still going?"

"stop--"

Unable to bring himself to say "take a break," Fang Bai shook his head and said, "No, thank you."

She thought Ji Yuning was just playing around, but she didn't expect her to be so serious and even more stubborn than usual.

Ji Yuning seemed not to understand Fang Bai's meaning, and she pressed, "What do you mean?"

Without even thinking, Fang Bai said, "I'm not leaving."

“Okay,” Ji Yuning replied, “Then you can get a refund.”

Fang Bai was taken aback, then smiled and said, "Auntie didn't buy a ticket from you?"

Ji Yuning pursed her lips: "It's your travel ticket."

Fang Bai's breathing slowed down. "Hmm?"

What's the meaning?

Ji Yuning did not let go of Fang Bai's hand; instead, she followed the direction of his hand and hugged him.

She looked down at the silver chain around Fang Bai's neck, her cool voice tinged with a hint of weakness, "Fang Bai, I don't want you to leave. I'm so afraid that you'll leave and never come back."

The arms around her waist were not as tight as before, but rather loosely wrapped around her, giving her no feeling of being restrained. However, the hands clasped together at her lower back firmly protected Fang Bai in place.

It is possession, and it is respect for Fang Bai's ideas.

It was reluctance, a selfish desire not to let Fang Bai leave.

Fang Bai patted Ji Yuning on the shoulder and comforted her, "No, of course Auntie will come back."

Ji Yuning paused for a moment, then said, "Beibei misses you."

Fang Bai blinked, wanting to see what Ji Yuning was going to say.

After Ji Yuning finished speaking and saw that Fang Bai did not react, she added, "Aunt Wu too."

“He Ziyan…” Ji Yuning stopped talking.

Fang Bai raised an eyebrow: "Xiao He?"

Fang Bai called out several names, but he only called out He Ziyan's name. Ji Yuning felt a pang of jealousy, but she still said, "Yes, she asked me for your address several times, but I didn't give it to her."

Ji Yuning said softly, like a child tattled, "She said she's going to hit me, you have to protect me."

Fang Bai thought about the scene and almost laughed, "Why not give it to me?"

Ji Yuning thought Fang Bai wanted her to give out her address so that He Ziyan would come looking for her. Her face darkened, and she said in a less than pleasant tone, "She used to like you."

Fang Bai was surprised: "You...know?"

How did Ji Yuning find out?!

Wasn't it just her and He Ziyan there that night? Or did He Ziyan tell Ji Yuning?

Ji Yuning said softly, "I know everything."

Fang Bai snapped out of his daze, smiled, and said, "What else do you know?"

Ji Yuning and Fang Bai looked at each other, their eyes flashing, and she whispered, "I also know that besides them, I miss you very much."

Before Fang Bai could react, Ji Yuning leaned closer to her and whispered in her ear, "Fang Bai, come home with me."

Chapter 99

Having navigated the business world for three years, Ji Yuning had developed a high alcohol tolerance, even if she was initially terrible at drinking.

She was indeed drunk at first, completely drunk, and didn't even know how she got back to her apartment complex. She was able to find her building accurately only because of the deep impression she had in her mind.

Ji Yuning would write down the floor number every time she went up a floor, afraid that she would miscount and not be able to find Fang Bai.

When she reached the last half-staircase, Ji Yuning suddenly stopped.

She stood on the landing, looking up at the closed door, seemingly so far yet so close. She knew that if she just walked up there, she could return to Fang Bai's side, but she had no strength left in her body; even taking a single step was difficult.

She was tired and needed to rest.

Ji Yuning slowly squatted down and sat in the corner. Her body, exhausted from several days of hard work, relaxed at this moment. She bent her legs, wrapped her arms around her legs, and fell asleep with heavy eyelids.

She didn't know how much time had passed when Ji Yuning heard a very noisy sound. The sound grew louder as it approached, pulling her out of the heavy clouds. Her eyes were so heavy she could barely open them. Ji Yuning could only grope her way in the direction of the sound. After she touched something cold, the sound stopped, and she opened her eyes.

Ji Yuning didn't fall into the clouds again. She looked at the things in her hands and waited.

The phone rang again, and Ji Yuning answered it instinctively.

The voice that reached her ears was soft and familiar, making her happy; the other person's voice made her feel comfortable. So, she subconsciously answered whatever the other person asked, but soon she could no longer hear their voice, and the screen that had been lit went dark.

It was very dark around her, so she tucked her head into her arms, closed her eyes, and waited for the light.

Then came a loud bang, which made Ji Yuning tremble. Her eyelids slowly opened, and she looked up.

A person stands in the light.

The other person was wearing a plain-colored long dress, with her long hair clipped behind her head. She was elegant and intellectual, but her expression showed a hint of surprise.

He seemed to be frightened by her.

Then, the path she was too lazy to walk, the other person ran down.

They came to her carrying light.

“…”

Later, she went back to her room and started spinning a globe. Although Ji Yuning was still a little drunk, she was more sober than before.

She heard Fang Bai call her name and say she was tired, and she heard Fang Bai say she wasn't leaving.

So now she looked at Fang Bai and whispered, "Fang Bai, come home with me."

Fang Bai's eyes sparkled under the light, but after hearing Ji Yuning's words, she lowered her eyelids to block out some of the light.

So much so that she didn't see Ji Yuning gradually approaching her, and by the time she realized it, it was too late to avoid her.

The two light touches on her right cheek carried a faint scent of alcohol, mixed with the other person's refreshing lemon fragrance—not unpleasant at all.

The strawberry scent that I could smell during the day is gone.

Fang Bai sniffed it carefully.

But now doesn't seem to be the time to smell Ji Yuning's scent; rather—

She was kissed by Ji Yuning.

Unlike when she kissed Ji Yuning, she made two "cheep cheep" sounds. Ji Yuning's kiss was so light that if it hadn't landed on her face, she wouldn't have even realized she had been kissed by Ji Yuning.

It was that kind of cautiousness without consent.

This light kiss was even more mesmerizing than the arms that tightly encircled her waist.

Fang Bai was stunned for a moment before he realized why Ji Yuning had kissed her. If Lu Xia kissed her because she wanted Ji Yuning to help her, then what would little Ji Yuning do if she wanted Lu Xia to do something for her?

Lu Xia will meet her.

So Ji Yuning kissed her.

Just like when she was coaxing Ji Yuning earlier.

So what does Ji Yuning want her to do?

Just as Fang Bai was thinking of the question, Ji Yuning gave her the answer, "Auntie, will you come home with me?"

Fang Bai's lips parted slightly, unsure of what to say. She could only turn her gaze away and break free from Ji Yuning's embrace.

"You've had too much to drink, you should rest first," Fang Bai said.

Fang Bai continued, "I tidied up the side bedroom so you could sleep there when you come, so you wouldn't have to squeeze into the same bed with me."

Ji Yuning looked at Fang Bai and, hearing her change the subject, knew that the other woman was avoiding the issue.

This actually made Ji Yuning less anxious to know the answer.

Fang Bai's attitude wasn't as resolute as it had been in the afternoon. Instead of sternly saying no to her, he chose to divert her attention, which could only mean that Fang Bai was hesitant.

Ji Yuning knew that if she asked Fang Bai a few more times, he would see her true thoughts and tell her the answer.
