Kapitel 253

Returning to Hogwarts is like returning to home.

Fred and George were still debating where Hao Yun was going to take them that night, and they were distracted during dinner.

After the banquet, the four academies left the restaurant one after another.

Back in his dorm room, Hao Yun prepared the security camera and patiently waited for midnight to arrive.

At eleven o'clock, Fred and George sneaked into Hao Yun's room.

"Come on, let's go for a night stroll. Now you can tell us where we're going!"

Under Fred's persistent questioning, Hao Yun stopped hiding the truth.

Do you know about the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin?

Fred and George shook their heads, indicating they didn't know. Hao Yun rolled his eyes. Such important information, and you two didn't even know it?

"The Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin is said to have been left behind by the founder of Slytherin. Inside, he left behind a terrifying monster. When the successor appears, the Chamber will open and purge those whom Slytherin deems unworthy to learn magic."

Fred's eyes widened. The Chamber of Secrets! Slytherin! The Heir! This was intriguing.

As for the monster, the two of them automatically ignored it.

"Have you found this secret room?"

Hao Yun nodded. Of course he knew, but he had been too lazy to go before.

(Note: Actually, he was worried that he couldn't defeat the serpent monster.)

"Let's go! We need to get there quickly."

Fred and George were extremely excited; they had never imagined that such a hidden place existed within Hogwarts Castle.

Led by Hao Yun, the three of them went to the washroom.

Finding the faucet with the snake pattern, Hao Yun lowered his head and said "Open the door" in snake language.

The language of Parseltongue was something Hao Yun obtained by devouring Voldemort's soul; it was an unexpected bonus.

Rumble!

A large hole appeared in the wall, and the twin brothers excitedly peered inside.

Let's go!

He kicked the two men down, and Hao Yun then jumped in as well.

The three slid through the circular water pipe, and Fred and George cheered.

Wuhu!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The three landed and crashed into a pile of bones.

Wow! So many bones! Do you think there might be human bones inside?

Fred kicked the scattered bones around him and turned to look at Hao Yun.

"Probably not."

Hao Yun shrugged. He didn't care if there were any human bones or not; he was going in to find the snake monster anyway.

Hao Yun took out three pairs of sunglasses, put one on himself, and threw the other two to Fred and George.

"It's so dark here, why do we need to bring this?"

George looked at the dark sunglasses and clearly didn't really want to wear them.

"You don't have to bring it if you want to die. There's a snake monster inside that's lived for a thousand years. Anyone who sees it will die."

After Hao Yun finished speaking, the two of them quickly put on their sunglasses.

These three pairs of sunglasses were all meticulously crafted by Hao Yun. They can block the snake monster's murderous gaze, and even if they cannot block it, the monster will not die; at most, it will be petrified.

"Okay, no problem."

Fred and George hid behind Hao Yun without the slightest remorse.

During the holidays, they took Hao Yun out to play and witnessed him kill a fire dragon that appeared out of nowhere.

That was a dragon, a creature that even adult wizards would find difficult to deal with, but in Hao Yun's hands, it was as easy as killing a chicken.

A sword flew out, cleaving the opponent in two.

Fire Dragon, dead!

"Is it the basilisk monster coming?"

Fred listened to the crackling sound and asked cautiously.

Hao Yun nodded. It was indeed a snake monster; it had spotted them and was crawling towards them.

The sound grew closer, and Hao Yun stopped in his tracks.

"You guys stay hidden and don't come out yet."

Fred and George quickly crawled into the pipe next to them and stood inside, watching Hao Yun.

Hiss!

The basilisk has arrived; its enormous head is already outstretched.

Hao Yun tried to communicate with it using snake language.

Hello, can you understand me?

The basilisk raised its head and hissed.

"sure!"

The basilisk's dim, yellowish eyes stared at Hao Yun, scrutinizing him from head to toe.

"Who are you? Why have I never seen you before?"

This is the Basilisk's territory, the place the founder of Slytherin left for it to live and reside.

Chapter 311 The Clever Basilisk

"Slytherin sent you to guard this place. Did he give you any tasks?"

Whether in books or in movies, the basilisk is always portrayed as a villain, a monster that only knows how to kill.

"A mission? Why would you think that?"

The serpent monster looked at Hao Yun with a puzzled expression, not understanding the meaning behind Hao Yun's words.

"Could it be that you are Slytherin's chosen successor?"

The man and the snake communicated incessantly with hissing sounds, leaving Fred and George, hiding in the pipe, completely bewildered.

"No, I just came in out of curiosity. If you didn't have a mission, why did you kill a female student more than ten years ago?"

Faced with Hao Yun's questioning, the basilisk's expression was slightly strange.

"That was just an accident. A guy who claimed to be the heir to Slytherin came to wake me up. I had just woken up from my sleep, and my mind wasn't very clear."

“I was talking to the heir when I suddenly heard a scream. Startled, I instinctively activated the ability that came with my eyes, and then the girl died.”

The basilisk's Death Gaze is an active skill that it can choose whether or not to use.

“That heir ordered me to kill minor wizards like you, but I refused his request and then fell into slumber again.”

The basilisk spoke calmly, after all, it was a snake that had lived for thousands of years.

Based on the basilisk's description, Hao Yun concluded that what it said didn't seem like a lie.

Do you have any further questions?

Hao Yun shook his head, walked up to the snake monster, and touched its scales. They were very hard, almost like steel.

"Could you take me to where you live? I have two friends there. Is it alright to bring them along?"

The basilisk nodded, indicating that it was okay.

"Fred, George, come out."

Upon seeing Hao Yun beckoning, the two men stepped out in fear. Looking at the serpentine monster over twenty meters long in front of them, their legs trembled uncontrollably.

Hello!

The two forced a smile and waved to the basilisk.

The basilisk glanced down at the two of them, then turned and swam towards the secret chamber.

The three followed behind and soon arrived at a huge secret chamber.

On the walls of the secret chamber were carved statues of the founders of Slytherin. Hao Yun watched the basilisk crawl in and out of the statue's mouth with a fascinating expression.

This is where I live.

The basilisk crawled into the statue's mouth, with half of its body dangling outside, looking rather lazy.

"I'm going to put some small things here. That guy who claims to be the heir will be coming again soon. I hope you won't kill anyone this time."

The flying sword was drawn, and the stone pillar in the secret chamber, which the two people could barely encircle, was directly cut in half by the flying sword.

The basilisk narrowed its eyes, finally understanding Hao Yun's purpose: to show off.

Given the power of the flying sword, the basilisk knew very well that its scales wouldn't be able to stop it.

“Slytherin has never said there is any heir. I rarely leave here except to hunt.”

Hao Yun retrieved his flying sword and installed four cameras inscribed with formations in the secret room.

Using the jade in his hand, Hao Yun was able to remotely control the array in the camera to monitor everything inside the secret room.

After the formation was installed, Hao Yun observed the snake monster. This guy was very abnormal, with an unusually high IQ.

Hao Yun circled the basilisk with his divine sense and was certain that it was a purely magical creature. Could it be that it was intelligent because it had lived for a long time?

Having lived in this world for so long, Hao Yun has only ever seen one highly intelligent magical creature: Hagrid's eight-eyed spider.

However, that spider was dying, and its offspring were not as intelligent as it was.
