Die drei Geistergeschichten von Jinzhong Zwei Tai Sui zerstören die Stadt - Kapitel 19

Kapitel 19

Amid Mina's terrified screams, her husband swung his scimitar and forcefully slit the enemy's neck. Dracula's blood spurted out.

At that moment, Quincy roared with his last remaining strength, stood up, lunged forward, and plunged the hunting knife in his hand into Dracula's heart.

The vampire's life force rapidly faded, yet he still possessed enough strength to throw Quincy onto the snow. Then, Dracula, still standing proudly, glared angrily at the distant horizon visible only to him, blood gushing from his heart and throat. With a mournful gait, he turned away from his enemy and retreated towards the chapel entrance.

Mina swiftly grabbed Quincy's Winchester rifle and rushed forward to stand between the dead demon and her victorious friend. To their surprise, she pointed the gun at her own husband.

For the first time in hours—or perhaps days—the murderous expression on Huck's face softened.

"Mina!"

His face was horribly distorted, becoming like Dracula, the embodiment of death, and he turned to look at her.

“Mina?” His tone was full of tender affection.

She stared painfully at the dying demon for a long time. Then, as Dracula looked away and retreated back into the chapel, Mina slowly followed him. She still held her gun firmly to the group of men.

In a tense tone, she asked the four men standing in the snow, "When my time comes, will you treat me the same way? Will you?"

Arthur wanted to rush towards her and try to take her weapon, but Hack, who already knew the situation well, stretched out his arm to stop him.

"No, let them go. Let her go."

Hao Xin nodded in understanding.

Mina slowly backed away, following Dracula into the dark chapel. Her resolve to resist these people remained unwavering until it was all over.

She slammed the heavy door shut from the inside, right in front of them.

Outside the door, Hausin let the weapon he had just picked up fall to the ground again. Facing the chapel, he was unsteady on his feet from exhaustion, and bowed his head to pray silently.

Huck suddenly shouted, "What's in there?"

Howsin looked up again. "That's the chapel."

No one asked him how he knew, nor did anyone ask him where the dried blood on his fur coat came from; Huck simply accepted his answer in silence.

The old professor bowed his head in prayer once more: "Let him rest in peace...let him sleep in tranquility. We've all become God's madmen."

Meanwhile, Jack Schwartz held the dying Quincy in his arms; no doctor could help him anymore.

When Mina opened her eyes again, the face of the man beneath her was lifeless. It was a young, serene, and handsome face.

Mina slowly rose and walked towards the tightly closed chapel doors. At that moment, Jonathan, unable to wait any longer, forcefully pushed open the doors, rushed inside, and embraced his wife. From her husband's joyful expression, Mina knew her forehead was as flawless as snow. The vampire's red curse had vanished, and the prince warrior had found peace.
