Kapitel 19

However, Zhao Yuan still couldn't get a good night's sleep.

Just as he was about to fall asleep, he smelled an unfamiliar scent coming closer to his desk.

The smell is sweet and cloying; it must smell like a woman's shampoo.

Zhao Yuan lay on the table with his eyes half-open, and then realized he wasn't so sleepy anymore.

A girl did walk over, but she wasn't looking for him; she was looking for his deskmate.

Qin Chu looked at the girl he had met that morning and was a little confused.

This girl probably isn't in their class; she seemed a little reserved as she stepped into the unfamiliar classroom.

She stood in front of Qin Chu, her face flushed, and hesitated for a long time without uttering a sound.

Qin Chu looked up at her: "What is it?"

He remembered that there was a guy next to him who had been stealing chickens in the middle of the night and needed to catch up on his sleep, so he quietly stood up and said, "Never mind, let's talk outside."

As soon as he finished speaking, Qin Chu turned his head and saw that Zhao Yuan, who had been so sleepy that he could fall asleep sitting up, now had bright eyes, and even his long bangs couldn't hide the light.

"You're quick to perk up."

Zhao Yuan thought to himself, "Of course I'm excited if there's something to watch." He looked up at the girl and said, "It's okay, let's talk here."

The girl was so embarrassed by Zhao Yuan's antics that she couldn't say a word.

The students in the class were always most interested in this kind of thing. Dozens of eyes in the room were staring at Qin Chu with great interest, and a few mischievous ones couldn't help but whistle.

In this atmosphere, the girl finally mustered up the courage to put the pink envelope in her hand into Qin Chu's hand.

The whistle is about to sound.

Just then, a classmate heard the girl say, seemingly trying to conceal something, "Senior Cheng Cheng, I heard you're very good at English. Could you tutor me?"

The clamor that was about to burst out was thus swallowed back into the throats of all the audience members.

All the other students looked strange.

Qin Chu's face turned a little green, because he still had a 58-point English test paper hidden in his desk drawer.

Fortunately, the girl used up all her courage after saying those words and turned to run away.

The students watching from behind couldn't hold back any longer and burst into laughter.

"Damn, Cheng Cheng, your English grades are famous now!"

"This girl's patching skills are amazing!"

Qin Chu looked at the envelope in his hand and thought about what the girl had just said, and felt that it was a kind of mockery.

Unexpectedly, this was the result. Zhao Yuan lay on the table, laughing so hard he couldn't straighten his back.

Qin Chu looked at him coldly and smiled, her tone icy: "Do you still want to sleep?"

The translation is: I'll send you to your eternal rest.

Zhao Yuan waved his hands repeatedly and made a gesture of begging for mercy. It took a long time for him to stop.

After laughing, Zhao Yuan looked at the envelope on Qin Chu's desk and suddenly realized something.

Oh, so his deskmate got confessed to.

Class was about to start, so Qin Chu tidied up his books from the previous lesson and put them, along with the letter, into his desk.

Zhao Yuan couldn't quite describe his feelings; perhaps he just wanted to tease Qin Chu. He reached out and pulled out the conspicuous pink envelope.

The envelope smelled nice too; it seemed the girl who confessed her feelings had put a lot of thought into it.

Perhaps the only mistake was inquiring about Qin Chu's English grades.

"Hey deskmate, you're really something... your reputation has even spread to the first and second year of high school." Zhao Yuan shook the envelope, but the seal wasn't on, and the paper inside fell out.

Zhao Yuan looked up at Qin Chu's expression. Unlike other boys who were confessed to, Qin Chu wasn't furious when Zhao Yuan snatched the envelope, and now he didn't seem nervous or expectant when he saw the letter fall out.

Sure enough, his deskmate was his deskmate.

Zhao Yuan's lips curled slightly as he picked up the letter that had fallen onto his lap.

Although he was incredibly curious, he didn't bother to look at the contents of the letter. But the letter was so thin and small, barely the size of his palm, and the content seemed very concise.

So much so that when Zhao Yuan picked it up, he could see the contents at a glance.

Damn it, it's a string of contact information.

No wonder the envelope wasn't sealed; it meant it was for a private chat...

Zhao Yuan's mood, which had just been lifted by Qin Chu's indifferent attitude, suddenly plummeted again.

The news of Qin Chu being confessed to caused quite a stir in the entire Class 1. Even after two classes, on their way to lunch after school, the group was still discussing it.

However, the attitude during this discussion was different from when others were confessed to. Those classmates who were explaining to their brothers would always burst into laughter as they talked.

The students from other classes who were being educated on science, watching the group of people who were laughing so hard they were about to crawl on the ground, not only failed to get the joke, but their expressions were indescribable.

"Don't you all dislike Cheng Cheng in your class?"

Whenever this issue is brought up, all the students in Class 1 are indignant and wish they could explain eight hundred times just how awful Cheng Cheng is.

Hearing this question, the guy who almost laughed himself to death instantly became indignant, pointing at the person next to him and saying, "How can you talk about him like that? Cheng Cheng is such a good person! Let me tell you, it's wrong to ostracize classmates!"

A student from another class, who had only asked casually, remained silent.

Okay, I don't really understand what's going on in the heads of you academic geniuses.

Walking towards the cafeteria amidst the crowd, Wang Peng, not wanting to be a loudspeaker today, overheard all the chatter from his classmates.

When others mentioned Qin Chu being confessed to today, they all thought it must be a misunderstanding, believing that the girl must have mistaken him for someone else, and that there might even be someone else in the senior year with the same name as Cheng Cheng.

But after witnessing what happened at the school gate this morning, Wang Peng understood perfectly well that this female student had obviously come for Qin Chu.

Wang Peng felt that this world was a bit surreal.

He couldn't understand why Qin Chu, after pushing the girl so hard she fell on her backside, ended up receiving a love letter...

What the hell gives them the right?!

Wang Peng struggled with this for two days, and in between, he would often stare blankly at Zhou Sisi's back.

Ultimately, he felt he should learn from Qin and Chu.

The next day at lunchtime, Qin Chu was violently suppressing Zhao Yuan, who was snatching food from his plate. When he saw Wang Peng sitting down with his plate, both he and Zhao Yuan were taken aback.

Compared to Zhou Sisi and Zhao Yuan, Qin Chu was the least familiar with Wang Peng, his impression of him still stuck at the "megaphone" stage. Of course, recently that megaphone seemed to have run out of power, appearing a bit listless.

With "outsiders" present, Zhao Yuan became somewhat more restrained and ate his meal quietly.

After holding it in for a while, he couldn't help but point at the stewed pork ribs and turn to Qin Chu to complain, "Classmate, there's actually cilantro in this."

Qin Chu glared at him: "Were you blind when you bought it?"

Zhao Yuan felt wronged: "When I saw the green color, I thought it was a scallion."

Despite making a sarcastic remark to Zhao Yuan, Qin Chu still swapped his bowl of pickled fish with Zhao Yuan's stewed pork ribs.

Watching the two of them interact so oblivious to everyone else, Wang Peng felt utterly disgusted.

But remembering the purpose of his visit today, he resisted the urge to pick up the plate and leave. He looked up at Qin Chu as if they were old friends and asked, "That day... did you read the letter that girl gave you?"

Upon hearing this, Zhao Yuan couldn't help but look at Qin Chu as well.

Chapter 19 The First World (17)

When asked about this, most people would feel a little embarrassed.

But Qin Chu was different; he always thought that the girl simply came to him for English tutoring.

Oh, and I accidentally went to the wrong person.

So when Wang Peng asked him, he didn't even stop eating: "I saw it."

Wang Peng was somewhat looking forward to the outcome and couldn't help but crane his neck forward: "And then?"

Zhao Yuan had never been interested in this kind of gossip before, but for some reason, he suddenly wanted to know what happened next, and asked along with Wang Peng, "Did you add her contact information?"

"Added." Qin Chu glanced at Zhao Yuan, wondering what was so interesting about it.

Upon hearing this, Wang Peng immediately thought to himself, "Damn it!"

Wow, that's impressive! The girl contacted him yesterday, and they've already exchanged contact information and started chatting today. Who knew Cheng Cheng, who's usually so cold and aloof, was such a Casanova?

It seems he's found the right person.

Zhao Yuan's expression was a little strange because he suddenly realized that Qin Chu hadn't added him on the contact list yet.

Wang Peng was a little excited, and forgetting about his meal, he continued to ask, "What did you guys talk about? How's it going?"

Judging from the level of attention he was getting, it seemed as if he wasn't asking about Qin Chu's romantic history, but rather about his own future with Zhou Sisi.

Looking at Wang Peng's hopeful eyes with confusion, Qin Chu put down the ribs he had picked up, thinking that this man probably wanted to see him make a fool of himself.

“I just told her that my English is not good and that she had the wrong person.”

Wang Peng: "..."

Zhao Yuan buried his head in the bowl and couldn't help but laugh.

Wang Peng came over from afar carrying a plate, clearly unable to accept this situation. After a long pause, he still hadn't given up hope: "Is there really no next time?"

"Yes," Qin Chu answered as decisively as ever.

The spark of hope within him reignited. Wang Peng thought to himself, "Sure enough! How could there be no follow-up?"

Qin Chu glanced at Wang Peng, wondering why the kid was so interested in this matter. Looking at the unfinished food on his plate, he finished explaining what happened next.

She said it was okay and that she could study with me.

Upon hearing this, Zhao Yuan smiled and tightened his grip on his chopsticks.

"Then I sent her a bunch of English materials."

Wang Peng was completely stunned. What the hell was this?

People want to study with you, but the important thing is "you," not studying! Why don't you bring your books and arrange to study together? What's with handing out study materials?
