Der Fall des Geisterboten – Die Geschichte einer Seele, die den Körper verlässt - Kapitel 20
"You also hate being deceived?"
"Um."
"Hate war?"
"That's right!"
Yin Ming paused for a moment, then said, "Then you must really hate me."
The river shrimp was stunned for a moment. "Huh? What do you mean by this?! I've already been very loyal in helping you, why are you talking like I owe you something?!"
Yin Ming shook his head. "You don't owe me anything." He let go of her hand and said, "Miss He, I'm leaving tomorrow."
The river shrimp frowned. "What does this mean this time?"
Yin Ming smiled and replied, "I've been hesitating about whether to listen to my father and do something ambitious. But now I know. You have your ocean, and I should have my own place to call home..."
The river shrimp suddenly felt very uncomfortable. It didn't understand why this person kept talking nonsense that was incomprehensible to it.
The sorcerer's voice grew closer from not far away.
The river shrimp gritted its teeth and shouted, "This is how it should be! Do you want to stay by the pond forever?!" It pushed him away, "You are human, I am a demon. A hundred years from now, I will still be in the pond, while you will only turn into withered bones! You should have had some ambition long ago!"
Yin Ming lowered his head. "A hundred years..." He smiled. "Is it really just a hundred years more?"
The river shrimp turned its head and said, "Keep going crazy! I can't be bothered with you!"
After saying that, it leaped away.
The voices of the sorcerers gradually faded away. But his words still echoed in her mind: "Just one hundred years more..."

Chapter Twenty-Nine
The fairy in the pond waited until dawn, but the river shrimp still hadn't returned.
Blackfish couldn't help but sigh, "Well, there's only one truth..."
Carp continued seriously, "Shrimp and Yinming eloped..."
The inquisitive crab asked, "What is eloping?"
The blackfish and the carp answered earnestly at the same time, "Good children don't need to know."
The catfish poked its head out, "Hehe, speaking of eloping, I once..."
"Old Catfish! Don't change the subject!!!"

Just as the demons were making a ruckus, the river shrimp strode back, rushed into the pond, took out all its savings, and ran out of the pond.
"Pack your valuables?" Blackfish asked in surprise.
"In such a hurry?" the carp asked in surprise.
"Could it be..." the two fish exclaimed simultaneously, "that they're really going to elope?!"
The river shrimp shot a sharp glare at them, and the carp and blackfish immediately went on the defensive, but they didn't get the punches and kicks they expected.
The river shrimp said fiercely, "Elopement my foot! I'm going to the Great Lake for a bloodbath! Damn it, I'm not happy!" After saying that, she headed straight for the Great Lake with a murderous aura.
"Poor Grandpa Panlong..." the crab said sympathetically, biting its claws.
"I want to go too," the dragon murmured to itself, clutching its claws.
"Idiot, you're doomed if you go with us!" the blackfish and carp shouted to stop them.
"Why?" Chi blinked its innocent eyes and asked.
The carp seemed to be deep in thought, and said, "When a woman is provoked, she can do things that are outrageous and utterly cruel. That's why we say, it's better to offend a petty person than a woman..."
The blackfish chimed in, "Don't worry, everyone, it's not crazy. It just got into studying these things after being dumped by the koi girl. It's alright, it's alright..."
So the demons continued to ignore the carp.
"Why do you think the shrimp hates Brother Yinming so much?" the crab asked.
The blackfish and the carp exchanged a glance. "Hmm... we think it hates all people."
"Hmm, shrimp seem to only like the ocean," Chi said after thinking for a moment.
"That's not the point!" the carp sighed.
"But why do shrimp like the ocean?" the crab asked curiously.
All the demons shook their heads in unison, then looked at the catfish.
The catfish spoke leisurely, "Finally, you want to hear my ramblings, huh? Hehe~ So, it was a long time ago, in autumn, the River God—you've all heard of the water god of the great river, right?—was on an autumn outing and came here, where he met a shrimp who had just cultivated into a demon."
"Wow, it's a love story!" Blackfish's eyes lit up.
The catfish glanced at it. "Sorry to disappoint you, no... Later, Uncle He started talking to it, recounting his past experiences at the sea. He said things like, 'Looking eastward, one cannot see the end of the water,' and 'Sighing at the vast ocean.' The shrimp, being young at the time, said, 'I've never seen the sea, I don't understand what you're talking about.' Uncle He then lectured it, saying, 'A frog in a well cannot be told about the sea, for it is confined by its limited knowledge; a summer insect cannot be told about ice, for it is bound by its limited understanding of the seasons; a narrow-minded person cannot be told about the Way, for he is bound by his teachings...'"
The black fish was furious. "Hmm, I don't understand what it means, but it must be swearing!"
The carp was also furious, "That's right, that's right! It's not shameful to have never seen the sea, what kind of Uncle He is he, daring to curse people!"
The crab got angry, "Damn it! The master said we can't use passive-aggressive tactics!"
Chi Congzhong was also furious, "They even used classical Chinese, that's outrageous!"
The catfish nodded in agreement, "Yes, yes! That's how the shrimp was discouraged. From that day on, it trained day and night, all for the sake of going to the sea. Alas, how tragic, how lamentable..."
"Sigh..." All the demons sighed in unison.
"Actually, shrimps are too stubborn~" the catfish laughed, "As long as you're happy, it doesn't matter if you don't go to the ocean~"
“That’s right!” the blackfish and the carp nodded.
"Yeah, I've never seen the ocean, and I'm doing just fine!" the crab said happily.
"I'm happy just to have a pond," Chi said contentedly, remembering his position as a water official.
"Huh? Could this be why the frogs don't leave that well?" the blackfish suddenly said.
The catfish swam over, patted it on the shoulder, and said, "Congratulations, you've attained enlightenment!"
"Oh~" the blackfish exclaimed excitedly.
"Congratulations, Blackie!" the carp swam over, moved.
Blackfish, tears welling in its eyes, exclaimed, "I'm so excited! Thank you everyone, thank you! First and foremost, I want to thank Old Catfish for always keeping the conversation flowing; you gave me tremendous inspiration. I also want to thank Crab and Idiot for their unwavering support; without you, I wouldn't have any of this. And lastly, I want to thank my dearest Carp; without you, I have nothing! Carp…"
"Heizi..." The carp also had tears in its eyes.
"Carp!"
"Heizi!"
"Carp!"
...
The catfish twitched its lips, turned around, and said, "Let them be moved, then we'll continue."
Suddenly, its expression changed. "Never mind, I have something to do, I'm going out for a bit." With that, it transformed into human form, went ashore, and left.
The black carp and the carp were somewhat puzzled, as were the crab and the dragon.
"Kuroko, ignore him, let's continue!" the carp said. "Kuroko..."
"Carp..."
"Heizi!"
"Carp!"
...
...
The catfish walked into the bamboo forest, smiling as it spoke, "Long time no see, what brings you here?"
In the bamboo grove stood a man who looked to be around twenty years old.
The catfish squinted at the handsome, otherworldly man with exquisite features. "As expected of a celestial being, he's truly different."
The man's expression was calm, his eyes as deep as a still pool. "You flatter me." He glanced at the catfish. "Are you still insisting on using this body?"
The catfish patted its back, "Hey...we fairies have to keep a low profile..."
The man didn't delve into the matter further, but instead asked, "Recently, the demons in your area have been quite restless; they even broke into the General's mansion last night."
"It was an accident, purely an accident!" the catfish immediately explained.
"You said the same thing last time," the man said calmly. "Although we know each other well, it's not right to do it repeatedly."
The catfish smiled ingratiatingly, "I know, I know."
The man sighed softly and said, "It's good that you really know. Tell them not to associate with people so casually, to avoid causing trouble."
"Okay..." Catfish was just agreeing when someone suddenly ran into the woods.
Upon seeing them, the newcomer was startled. He immediately lowered his head and respectfully said, "Master..."
The man's expression remained calm. "Tingcong, at this hour, instead of cultivating in the temple, what are you doing here?"
Ting Cong immediately explained, "Chopping wood, Master."
The man walked over and patted the bamboo leaf off Tingcong's shoulder. "When did you learn to lie?"
Ting Cong remained silent, staring blankly at him.
The man sighed, "If you need to chop wood, go ahead. Come back soon."
Ting Cong felt as if he had been granted a pardon, immediately thanked him, and ran off. As he left, he glanced at the catfish with a puzzled look.
The catfish smiled at him and waved.
"I didn't discipline them properly, so please excuse my poor behavior," the man said in his usual calm tone.
"The fox is going to become human..." the catfish sighed.
“I know,” the man replied.
"You..." The catfish wanted to say something, but didn't say it.
