Der Fall des Geisterboten – Die Geschichte einer Seele, die den Körper verlässt - Kapitel 39

Kapitel 39

"Ah—racism—"

The dragon listened to the commotion and smiled quietly.

The dragon looked at it and smiled.

We'll meet again someday...

...

...

Upon reaching the Taoist temple on the mountain, the demons and immortals saw Tingcong and the fox waiting there.

The fox came up, its eyes wet.

"Idiot..." she hugged the dragon, "After you're reincarnated, you have to come and see us..."

The dragon paused for a moment, then reached out and patted the fox. "Fox, how did you know I was going to be reincarnated?"

The fox sniffed, "All the fairies around here know. A deity being banished to the mortal realm—such a thing happens only once in a thousand years..."

All the demons and immortals looked at the carp.

The carp looked terrified, "No, I didn't tell anyone!!!"

"Carp, I believe in you..." Blackfish grasped Carp's hand and said earnestly.

"Heizi!"

"Carp!"

"Heizi!"

...

"That's enough! The time is almost up!" the black snake said.

The carp and the blackfish immediately shut their mouths and stared at the black snake.

The black snake cleared its throat. "Don't forget, starting today, I'm the new water official of the pond. You all better behave yourselves..."

"We're moving," the carp, the blackfish, and the crab said earnestly in unison.

The black snake looked at them coldly, "If you're not afraid of death, feel free to try."

"Oppose hegemonism and power politics!" the crab shouted.

"Crab! Well said!" the carp and the blackfish echoed.

"Thank you!" the crab replied with a smile.

"I just said the time was approaching! Didn't you all hear me?" Black Snake ignored them and said in an icy tone.

Instantly, all the demons fell silent.

"Those who understand the times are the heroes..." the catfish sighed, summarizing.

At that moment, the gate of the Taoist temple opened. Two boys dressed in blue came out and bowed respectfully.

"Master, please come inside."

The dragon pulled up the dragon and stepped inside.

The carp and the blackfish pulled up the crab and rushed in quickly.

Black Snake frowned and followed.

The frog looked at the catfish, and the two of them sighed in unison before going inside.

Just as Tingcong was about to take a step, he saw the fox standing still, staring blankly at the gate.

"Shall we go in?" Ting Cong asked.

The fox thought for a moment, then shook its head. "I'll wait for you."

Ting Cong smiled and walked to her side. "No need to wait. Anyway, it's nothing for me to do. I'll keep you company."

The fox smiled and nodded earnestly.

She took Tingcong's hand, walked to the side, and sat down.

Neither of them spoke, silently gazing at the Taoist temple. A rainbow gradually appeared in the sky and descended upon the temple. In an instant, all the wind chimes rang.

The fox narrowed its eyes, recalling that sun-rainy day when the wind chimes rang out in a similar way, their sound penetrating to the very core of its being.

“Fox…” Ting Cong began, “Shall we leave here after my coming-of-age ceremony?”

The fox looked at him. "Leave?"

Ting Cong nodded seriously. "Yes." He smiled. "Let's go find that beautiful place..."

The fox squeezed his hand, smiled, and nodded. "Okay."

The two looked at each other and smiled. Such a promise was enough.

At this moment, a white light shot into the sky from the Taoist temple, followed closely by a golden radiance.

The fox watched the two beams of light disappear into the horizon and smiled sadly.

"We'll meet again someday..."

...

The doors of the Taoist temple opened once more, and the demons/immortals walked out with helpless expressions.

"I was wondering why that idiot said, 'This time I'll be quick,' turns out it's because I was reincarnated quickly..." the carp sighed, touching its forehead.

"It really is fast. Before Ni even said 'start,' it rushed out..." Black Fish sighed, rubbing his forehead.

"Such reaction speed is truly rare in an idiot..." River Shrimp sighed, touching his forehead.

"Even the dragon brother can't catch up..." the crab sighed, touching its forehead.

"That gap is at least ten years..." Catfish sighed without touching his forehead.

The fox stood up and walked over. "It's over so quickly?"

The demons and immortals nodded, "That idiot is way too fast!"

The rainbow in the sky gradually disappeared, and the sound of the wind chimes stopped.

All the demons, immortals, and humans sighed in unison. "That was way too fast..."

After sighing, the river shrimp looked at the sky and said, "Alright, I'm leaving now."

"Why?"

The river shrimp chuckled, "Going back to my old place of cultivation to attain human form...what a hassle." It glanced at the carp and the blackfish, "Stupid fish! I'll give you one last look of contempt! The next time we meet, it'll be in the vast ocean of stars!"

"Why the stars and the sea?" the crab asked, puzzled.

"Because it sounds good," the river shrimp replied matter-of-factly.

= =|||

The river shrimp turned around, waved, and said, "Let's go!"

All the demons, immortals, and humans waved their hands.

The blackfish watched the river shrimp's retreating figure, and felt its eyes well up with tears. It turned out, it was impossible to see through it all after all…

"Hey, why are you crying! We men don't shed tears easily!" the carp patted its shoulder and said loudly.

The blackfish looked at it and said, "Carp, then you shouldn't cry either, okay?"

The carp sniffed, "Don't expose me..."

The crab sobbed, "Everyone's gone, the crab will be lonely..."

The frog chuckled, "Little guys, you simply haven't been training enough!"

"Frogs are cold-blooded!" the demons shouted.

"I've always been cold-blooded..." the frog said casually, brushing his hair aside.

“Me too,” Black Snake raised his hand in acknowledgment.

The catfish thought for a moment, "It seems like I am too..."

The fox looked deeply moved, "I'm not cold-blooded, I'm not!"

Suddenly, a group of immortals appeared out of nowhere. A woman dressed as a bunny girl, holding a cassia branch, swiftly stepped forward, stood at the entrance of the Taoist temple, and said with a smile:

"Good morning, viewers. I am Jade Rabbit, the chief reporter of Moon Palace TV. We are now reporting live from the scene of the execution of 'A once-in-a-millennium deity being banished to the mortal realm'!"

After speaking, the Jade Rabbit looked around. "Let's interview the two immortals involved first..."

The crab raised its hand, "Reporter, you're too late! Dragon Brother and Idiot Sister have already left!"

"WHAT???" Jade Rabbit exclaimed in shock. "Impossible! So fast!!!"

The demons, immortals, and humans nodded helplessly. "It's that fast."

The Jade Rabbit froze for a few seconds before quickly recovering. "You're eyewitnesses, right? Can you describe what happened? What were their last words? Do you know the whole story of how they were banished to the mortal realm?..."

A series of questions caused the expressions of the demons and immortals to change drastically.

"Paparazzi, they are truly terrifying..." the carp said, trembling.

"What do we do now, carp?" Blackfish asked nervously, looking at the group of immortals surrounding them.

The catfish stepped forward with a serious expression and said, "Hehe... As for the details, I once..."

The surroundings fell silent instantly, and all the paparazzi listened intently.

"Look, it's Chang'e!" Catfish suddenly pointed to the sky and shouted.

Instantly, all eyes turned upwards at a 45-degree angle.

"Run!" Catfish gave the order and broke through the encirclement.
