Chapter 8

Extract!

The dark roulette wheel spun rapidly before slowly coming to a stop. A beam of blood-red light shot out from the roulette wheel and into Ma Xiaoniu's mind.

Teleportation: The ability to reach any destination one desires, regardless of distance.

Ma Xiaoniu's fatigue vanished, his eyes gleaming with excitement. Teleportation! And teleportation that ignores distance! Doesn't that mean he can go wherever he wants?

"Today's mission: Demons are unreasonable. Find someone to bully, preferably someone who makes them wish they were never born."

Ma Xiaoniu breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness, it was just bullying. This could be completed quickly. Once the task was finished, he would have plenty of time to play by teleporting tomorrow. Just thinking about it made him feel great.

...

At 6:30 the next day, Ma Xiaoniu got up on time. Although he no longer went to work at the school, he still woke up at this time.

After a quick bite to eat, Ma Xiaoniu sat on the living room sofa and took out his phone to search for forums. He opened his browser, typed "demon" into the address bar, and pressed enter. The phone screen immediately turned dark, and in the center of the dark image was a white skull that took up almost half the screen, its eyes glowing faintly red as it stared intently at Ma Xiaoniu. The image paused for about a second, then the skull disappeared, and the forum page appeared before him.

The entire forum maintained a dark theme, with a banner at the top. The logo in the upper left corner was a white skull, and to the right of the skull were four large, blood-red characters: "Demon Forum." Below these four characters were two lines of smaller, blood-red text: "Managing all the affairs of the world, slaughtering all the people of the world."

Below the banner is the forum section: at the top is the case submission area, below that is the case completion area, and at the bottom is the comment section. Of course, the number of cases in each section is currently zero.

Ma Xiaoniu doesn't need to register; he's already logged in when he opens the forum. His nickname is: Demon.

Clicking the "Publish Announcement" button, Ma Xiaoniu prepares to post an announcement.

“You are an unfortunate person in life, otherwise you would not have come here. Leave your misfortune behind, and leave the rest to me. But if you lie, then even greater misfortune will befall you.”

Click the "Bind Phone" button to set up notifications. If someone posts in the submission area, Ma Xiaoniu's phone will receive a notification.

The forum is over. Next, I need to finish today's tasks.

Director Jia, whose full name is Jia Zhengyi, is the director of the Feng County Education Bureau. In his fifties, he's obese and frequently uses his official position to pressure schools, pushing products and forcing teachers and students to buy them. He also occasionally uses the pretext of job assignments to bring attractive female teachers to his side; what he does with them is unknown. However, Ma Xiaoniu, a teacher for many years, has heard plenty of rumors. It's said that Jia Zhengyi often calls attractive female teachers to his home for "instruction," and afterwards, he threatens and bribes them. The female teachers, fearing for their jobs, can only endure it silently. Of course, the veracity of these rumors is unknown, but Ma Xiaoniu believes there's no smoke without fire. Even if these are false rumors, judging from his pressure tactics and product-pushing, Jia Zhengyi is no saint. Teaching him a lesson isn't excessive.

Teleportation!

Sitting on his sofa at home, Ma Xiaoniu suddenly found himself in a secluded corner of Feng County, not far from the Education Bureau. Ma Xiaoniu certainly wouldn't go looking for trouble with Director Jia so openly; wouldn't that expose his identity? Therefore, he needed to prepare carefully beforehand. First, he needed to get himself some new clothes. In the past, Ma Xiaoniu would have been reluctant to do this, as his meager salary couldn't support a lavish lifestyle. But things were different now. Wang Youcai would be transferring money today; he didn't know the exact amount, but it certainly wouldn't be small! And with the system and his superpowers, making money would be a piece of cake, wouldn't it?

After wandering around the county town for an hour or two, I finally got all the gear I needed. I took my luggage, found a secluded dead-end alley, and changed into it.

He wore a realistic skull mask, with stark white bones and blood-red eyes that glowed faintly red, strikingly similar to the skulls on the demon forum. This mask was something Ma Xiaoniu had painstakingly found, after much effort. He wore a black, form-fitting outfit, like that of an ancient assassin, with a large red cloak trailing down to his ankles. This was no easy find; he'd stumbled upon it in a Cospree shop. He also found a three-meter-long iron chain in the same Cospree shop, which instantly made him appear much more brutal. ===Chapter Eight===

Ma Xiaoniu likes spicy food and had heard that the hot pot in Huoguo County was delicious, but as a teacher, he had classes to teach every day, so he didn't have time. Moreover, spending so much money just to eat a meal was something Ma Xiaoniu, who didn't earn much money, would never do.

After wandering around for a while, Ma Xiaoniu had long lost his way, but what was he afraid of with teleportation? There were many restaurants on the street, dazzling him, so Ma Xiaoniu randomly picked one and went inside.

The hot pot in Huoguo County was indeed delicious, spicy and numbing. After eating it, I was sweating profusely, but felt refreshed. Perhaps this could be one of my permanent residences.

...

On top of the Statue of Liberty in the United States, Ma Xiaoniu sat cross-legged. Actually, it would have felt great to stand up and shout at this moment, but Ma Xiaoniu couldn't do it because he was afraid of heights.

Damn it, seeking thrills really comes at a price. Although Ma Xiaoniu was sitting cross-legged, his lips were still purple and his body trembled slightly. However, Ma Xiaoniu didn't teleport away. If he couldn't even overcome this fear, what would he do if he encountered even more dangerous situations in the future? What if he needed to kill someone in the future?

Ma Xiaoniu suppressed his fear with all his might, then braced himself with his hands on the ground, closed his eyes, and shakily stood up. Standing there, even the slightest breeze made Ma Xiaoniu feel that he could be blown away at any moment. Slowly opening his eyes, he saw an endless expanse before him. Controlling himself, he looked down slowly. On the ground, the roads were like strips the width of a finger, with vehicles the size of mung beans weaving through them. As for people, they were so small that they were almost invisible.

A wave of dizziness washed over him. Ma Xiaoniu quickly closed his eyes, desperately trying to suppress his fear. "Damn it," he thought, "this is just asking for trouble!" But he absolutely couldn't teleport away now, or he'd never be able to overcome his fear of heights again. After a while, Ma Xiaoniu slowly opened his eyes, mustered his courage, straightened his chest, and roared into the wind, "Fuck you! Let the wind rage on! Ah—"

Before the words had even faded, Ma Xiaoniu, his eyes wide with fury, spread his arms and leaped forward with all his might.

The wind howled in his ears, his clothes billowed in the wind, his hair was whipped back, and he could barely keep his eyes open. It was this leap that shattered the fear in Ma Xiaoniu's heart, shattered all the resentment of the past decades, and broke through the barriers and obstacles that blocked his path to the future, making it clear and bright. It was this leap that allowed Ma Xiaoniu to see hope, touch destiny, and elevate his life!

Ma Xiaoniu's rapidly falling figure suddenly disappeared, as if she had silently fallen into the water, and even slight ripples appeared around her.

They reappeared at the summit of Mount Everest.

A fierce wind howled, and before me stretched a snow-covered mountain range that stretched to the horizon.

"So beautiful! This is much more beautiful than those man-made landscapes. Nature truly is a masterpiece! But damn, it's so cold... ouch..." Ma Xiaoniu, arms crossed, jumped up and down while breathing on his hands to warm them. Damn, I miscalculated. I'm outta here!

...

At 3:30 PM, Ma Xiaoniu, who had been strolling around, appeared at Shenxianjia. Ma Xiaoniu had long heard of the beauty and mystery of Shenxianjia, and now, taking advantage of his teleportation ability, he naturally wanted to come and see for himself.

Deep within Shenxianjia, ancient trees and wolf-infested forests stand tall with strangely shaped rocks. Beneath your feet lie decaying branches and rotting grass, surrounded by dense woods, where the occasional howl of an animal can be heard from some unknown direction.

"I'd only heard that Shenxianjia was a remote place, but this isn't just remote, it's a complete wasteland!" After walking about a kilometer with uneven steps, and seeing that the scenery around him remained unchanged, Ma Xiaoniu lost interest and wanted to leave.

"Hey Da Gang, didn't you say there were some good stuff here? We've been looking for ages, and we still haven't seen the good stuff you were talking about!" A voice suddenly rang out from deep within the woods.

Huh? Someone's here? Ma Xiaoniu teleported up to the tree. The tree was so lush that you couldn't find anything unusual looking up from below.

"Brother Qiang, what I'm saying is all true. I saw it with my own eyes when I came here last month. There really were golden monkeys, and more than one at that," a young voice said, sounding like he was in his twenties.

"Okay, let's look around again. Hold your guns. This place isn't just home to golden monkeys, there are also wolves, tigers, and savages. We must stay alert," said the guy called Brother Qiang.

Golden snub-nosed monkeys? These people are here to catch golden snub-nosed monkeys? Golden snub-nosed monkeys are rare animals, this is poaching! And they even have guns! Ma Xiaoniu became even more vigilant and found a thick tree branch to cover himself.

As the footsteps drew closer, three figures emerged from behind a rock four or five meters high. All three were dressed in ordinary civilian clothes. The leader, a man in his forties with a full beard, dark complexion, and a height of over 1.7 meters, was burly and robust. He carried a longbow on his back and held a pistol in his hand. To his left was a man in his twenties, fair-skinned, wearing glasses and appearing refined, but he carried a hunting rifle. To his right was a short, ruddy-faced man with a machete on his back and also a pistol in his hand. The three men walked cautiously, constantly scanning their surroundings. Soon, they passed Ma Xiaoniu's hiding place and their figures were quickly concealed by the dense forest.

Ma Xiaoniu, who was in the tree, casually broke off a branch about the thickness of a thumb, and disappeared in a flash.

The three poachers walked for about ten more minutes when Qiang's ears suddenly twitched. He waved for the other two to stop and then listened intently. Suddenly, an excited look appeared on Qiang's face, and he lowered his voice: "The target is not far to our left. Let's sneak over there, but be careful not to alert them."

The other two also looked excited and quickly followed Brother Qiang, crawling on the ground to move forward.
