The Stunning Prime Minister - Chapter 13
"Brother Xuanyuan, are you really going to let this cute animal sleep on the streets?" He held up Xiao Qing and waved it in front of Yu Zhou. "Cute?" Yu Zhou swallowed hard; Yuan Yang's aesthetic sense was truly questionable. "If Brother Xuanyuan doesn't mind, then let Xiao Qing keep you company." Yu Zhou was utterly speechless. He quickly shook his head and said, "No need. I think Xiao Qing is more suitable for you." Yu Zhou felt he had chosen a strange roommate.
"Brother Xuanyuan, then I'll be with Xiaoqing. Don't regret it." Yuan Yang reminded Yu Zhou again. Yu Zhou thought Yuan Yang was quite long-winded, so he quickly nodded and said, "I won't regret it."
"That's good!" Yuan Yang said with a smile, gently rubbing Xiao Qing's head with her fingertips.
"Then, Brother Yuan, you can sleep on the left. I'll sleep on the right," Yu Zhou suggested, looking at the two clean beds, but his eyes remained fixed on Xiao Qing. "Okay!" Yuan Yang said, and just as he was about to sit on the bed, it suddenly collapsed. Yu Zhou was incredulous. The bed collapsed. Then he looked at the innocent-looking Yuan Yang.
"Brother Yu, my bed is broken," she said with a hint of regret, while also looking at Xiao Qing with a pitiful expression. Yu Zhou knew it was broken; how could she not have seen such a big bed collapse? But what was he going to say next?
"So what..." Yu Zhou now has no choice but to jump into the pit.
“If Brother Yu doesn’t mind,” Yuan Yang said, her eyes fixed on Yu Zhou’s bed. “How about we share a bed?” Her eyes were full of calculation. Sharing a bed would be discovered very quickly. “Brother Yu, what do you think?” she asked again, putting Yu Zhou in a dilemma. Refusing would be unreasonable, but agreeing would easily lead to exposure. “Is it that difficult for Brother Yu? Xiao Qing has always thought you’re a good person, and she really wants to thank you.” Yuan Yang placed Xiao Qing in front of Yu Zhou again. “No.” Yu Zhou felt uneasy looking at Xiao Qing. He had no choice but to agree.
"Thank you very much, Brother Yu." He put Xiaoqing down.
"You're welcome," Yu Zhou said with a wry smile. She seemed to think that he had deliberately damaged the bed. Yu Zhou's sixth sense was indeed correct; Yuan Yang channeled her inner force into her hand, pressing down on the bed frame, making it appear as if it were collapsing. Without martial arts skills, Ran wouldn't have been able to sense it at all, and even with Yu Zhou's excellent hearing, he couldn't perceive it without inner force.
“Then Brother Yu, won’t you come bathe with me?” Yuan Yang said, pointing to the towel. Yu Zhou coughed a few times and said, “Cough cough cough, I’ve had a bit of a cold lately, it’s not good for me to take a bath.” “I see, that’s even better then, hot springs can cure illnesses.” Yuan Yang said with a kind expression.
"Well, Brother Yuan, you should go first. I'm allergic to hot springs." Yu Zhou racked his brains and finally came up with a plausible excuse. "That's a pity," Yuan Yang said regretfully, a faint, almost imperceptible smile playing at the corners of his eyes. Xiao Qing followed Yuan Yang, trotting happily out of the bamboo house.
"Young Master, I'll be leaving now." Yingxue, who was standing outside the door, suddenly said. "Yingxue, I have something to ask you." Yu Zhou had to get to the bottom of this. She recognized Yelü Longxu from his appearance.
"What's your relationship with Yelü Longxu?" Yu Zhou cut to the chase without beating around the bush. Ying Xue's eyes widened in surprise. Looking at Yu Zhou, she said, "Young Master, I don't know what you're talking about." Her eyes darted away. Her fingers gradually turned white. Her teeth bit her lip tightly.
“Yingxue, I can find out. I didn’t because I trust you. Now I want you to tell me yourself.” Yu Zhou stared at Yingxue, hesitated for a moment, and then said.
"Young Master, I really can't say it." Yingxue looked at Yu Zhou in anguish. She knelt on the ground, kowtowing repeatedly to Yu Zhou. One after another, she kept murmuring this sentence.
"Yingxue, this is the last time I'm asking you." Yu Zhou's eyes grew colder. She felt pity and sympathy for Yingxue, but that didn't mean she would condone it. "Young Master, I really can't say," Yingxue said bitterly, her head bowed.
"Fine! You can go back now," Yu Zhou said coldly.
"Thank you, young master." Yingxue stood up unsteadily, her desolate figure stretching long with each step.
Shangwu Academy
"Ye Yan, what's wrong with the young master today?" Meng Tianfang asked Ye Yan curiously. "You idiot, how would I know? Why don't you just ask the young master?" Ye Yan rolled his eyes at Meng Tianfang. One was a man in a blue robe, with flaxen hair adorned with a flawless white jade pendant. He had clear, bright eyes with a touch of childlike innocence, a straight nose, smooth skin, and thin, lovely pink lips—exquisitely beautiful features. The other was a man in black with a bronze complexion, possessing a handsome, angular face, giving off a sunny, fresh, and energetic vibe. Compared to the man in blue, he lacked some of the sex appeal, but possessed a youthful charm.
"You two, shut the hell up! Can't you see what I'm doing?" The fiery red hair was particularly eye-catching, and Lei Li swung the dragon whip at him.
Ye Yan nimbly dodged, while Meng Tianfang blocked with his Moonlit Blade. Upon closer inspection, the man appeared to have a fiery temper, and his features resembled a woman's: clear, bright pupils, arched eyebrows, long eyelashes trembling slightly, fair, flawless skin with a faint rosy glow, and thin lips as delicate and dewy as rose petals. However, seeing his Adam's apple dispelled that notion.
"Lei Li, did you eat gunpowder today, or..." Ye Yan knew he couldn't say any more; if he did, given Lei Li's fiery temper, his life would be in danger. "Wu Yueying, is it her again?" Yelü Longxu, who had been sitting quietly in his seat, was awakened by the noise of the three of them arguing.
"That princess who disappeared more than ten years ago. Lei, you're still thinking about her?" Ye Yan was somewhat surprised. "She's a woman! No wonder Lei is so distracted." Meng Tianfang also suddenly realized.
"Wu Yueying was probably only five years old at the time," Yelü Longxu said, stroking his silver sword with a hint of deeper meaning.
“Moon Shadow, she, Young Master.” Lei Li blurted out, but then stopped himself. “You want to know the whereabouts of Wu Yueying?” Yelü Longxu wiped the blade of his sword, the silver sword gleaming.
"Does Ye Yan also want to know?" Ye Yan paused, then tightened his iron fan. "Shengfeng (Ye Yan's courtesy name) wouldn't dare," Ye Yan said respectfully. "Lei Li, even if he's not dead, I can only give you a warning: if I see her, I will definitely kill her." Yelü Longxu's chilling aura shocked the three of them. Lei Li nodded stiffly. "Come here, Lei Li," a slender hand beckoned, and Lei Li approached Yelü Longxu step by step.
Leaning seductively against Lei Li's shoulder, her cool fingers traced the contours of Lei Li's handsome face. Her slender hand encircled Lei Li's waist, her breath coming in suggestive gasps, her hand slowly tracing the curve of his chin. Reaching his Adam's apple, she gently circled it with her finger, then extended her tongue, swirling it around Lei Li's Adam's apple, leaving a trail of ambiguous saliva. Lei Li breathed heavily, his voice hoarse and alluring, carrying a hint of ambiguity...
"Hehe, Young Master's in high spirits, let's go, you pighead." Ye Yan whispered to Meng Tianfang. The innocent and naive Meng Tianfang blinked knowingly and followed Ye Yan out.
"You pig-headed idiot, look..." Ye Yan said, pointing at the man standing on the rooftop. "Zhan Ge!" Meng Tianfang blurted out.
The man on the rooftop, like a solitary orchid standing alone in the world, wore a face full of sorrow, clutching a bamboo flute tightly in his hand. His bright, clear eyes, with a faint blue tint, shone with a soft, warm light; his straight nose, with its beautiful curve, gleamed with a shimmering luster. His upright back exuded an indescribable desolation.
The wind howled, whipping the hem of Zhan Ge's robes.
The melodious sound of a flute began to play, carrying with it boundless sorrow and lamentation.
The silver-clad man sat in the pavilion, drinking cup after cup of wine by himself. His emerald pupils radiated silver lines, and his almost unpredictable hair color shone with a golden light like that of a general. The corners of his eyes were slightly upturned, and a faint smile spilled from under his eyelashes. His thin lips revealed an imperceptible sneer, and the air was filled with the faint scent of sandalwood emanating from him.
He had a dagger hanging from his waist, with the character '寒' (cold) engraved on it.
"Yan, look! Xiao Han is here too!" Meng Tianfang pointed to the pavilion and exclaimed excitedly.
[A Sleepless Night]
"You're all here." Qin Yan arrived at Shangwu Academy and saw them.
"Dean? What brings you here?" Ye Yan found it strange that the Dean would come today. "Where are Lei Li and Yelü Ren?" Qin Yan looked around and, seeing only four people, began to inquire. Ye Yan looked slightly embarrassed.
"Brother Yelü and Brother Lei have something to discuss. If the Dean has anything to say, I can call them out." They cannot reveal that Yelü is their young master yet, and in front of outsiders, they can only refer to Yelü Longxu as Brother Yelü.
"It's nothing, just about room allocation." Qin Yan smiled, but something felt off, though she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
Xiao Han narrowed his eyes and called out to Zhan Ge on the rooftop, "Tian Qing (Zhan Ge's courtesy name), the Dean is here." Zhan Ge's blue eyes narrowed slightly. He put down his bamboo flute.
"Dean, actually, Tianqing and I are fine together," Xiao Han said with a smile, holding his wine glass. "Then what do Shengfeng (Ye Yan's courtesy name) and Yuanyao (Meng Tianfang's courtesy name) say?" Qin Yan inquired.
"I don't have anything special, as long as this pig's head doesn't snore," Ye Yan said mockingly to Meng Tianfang. Meng Tianfang's face flushed slightly, his anger barely concealed.
"Yelü and Leili will be living together," Qin Yan continued. "Dean, let's arrange it that way," Ye Yan agreed. "That's good then. I'm sorry to inconvenience you, but I'll be going now." Qin Yan said and left in a hurry.
"Xiao Han, aren't you bored drinking alone? Why don't I have a drink too?" Ye Yan tried to take Xiao Han's glass, trying to be charming. But Xiao Han grabbed his glass first and said coldly, "You're not worthy."
Meng Tianfang covered his mouth, laughing until tears streamed down his face. Even the usually quick-witted Ye Yan had been rendered speechless. Seeing Ye Yan's sullen expression, he couldn't help but feel happy.
"You're so heartless! I'm your classmate and friend, after all!" Ye Yan continued, unwilling to give up. But Xiao Han didn't give him any face. 'Crack!' The wine glass and the wine pot fell simultaneously, splashing water and releasing a strong aroma of wine, but only a puddle of water remained.
"Hey, Xiao, you're really wasting your time. Such good wine, and you've smashed it." Ye Yan said with a regretful expression; this wine was a century-old Daughter's Red. "I like it," Xiao Han replied, his smile vanishing from his previous one with Qin Yan, replaced by an icy expression. He seemed unapproachable.
