A man walked in. He had delicate features but a sinister air about him. He squatted down in front of me, hooked my chin, and stared at me intently.
I was so nervous that he fed me a pill, which I had no choice but to swallow.
My head was buzzing.
"Li Yongye will come to save you, and my elder brother..." The voice seemed to float away, as if coming from a very distant place. He was clearly right in front of me, so why did his voice sound so far away?
"I'll make sure you don't reveal any secrets you know when Li Yongye rescues you. I don't think you're really stupid." He finished speaking and left.
I was experiencing hallucinations. Time no longer mattered to me; I was sometimes lucid and sometimes confused. I couldn't remember eating; occasionally I felt someone feeding me, but when no one did, I didn't know.
When I was lucid, I thought a lot. The relationship between Yuepo and Yongye was probably more complex than just being poisoned. Yongye seemed to care a lot about Yuepo. What was their relationship? I just couldn't figure it out.

He really heard me. He looked down at me, his eyes red with anxiety, grabbed me, and leaped onto the stone platform. He handed me over to someone else, then jumped down again.
I was so anxious, I felt like I couldn't catch my breath. How could he leave like that? How could he abandon me?
The moonlight was so bright that I could hardly see anything else, and the sounds were so far away from me.
The cool water splashed on my face. Was it raining?
"Rose, open your eyes! I am Eternal Night! I'll take you home!"
I want to open my eyes, yet I can't bear to shatter this dream. Brother Yongye, is this a dream, or are you really in front of me? I can't tell anymore.
"Okay, I'll take you home. I'll marry you when we get back. Rose, stay awake. We're going back to Anguo right away. I've always loved you, I've never stopped loving you, do you hear me, Rose!"
It really was a dream. Brother Yongye would never say such sweet words to me. In my entire life, besides my parents and brothers, the person who has been the best to me is His Highness the Crown Prince.
I don't like him, but if Brother Yongye were even half as good to me as His Highness the Crown Prince, I would be completely satisfied.
