Qi is easy to pass on - Chapter 17
"Ximen Ghost Infant?" Old Man Leshui said, feigning seriousness. "He's already been killed by my apprentice." As he finished speaking, a ghostly figure appeared behind him. Upon closer inspection, it was none other than Cheng Long, the fiendish ghost under Zhou Qiang's command. Regardless of whether Old Man Leshui was telling the truth, the three guys in the courtyard were completely demoralized. Now was the time; if they didn't act now, it would be too late. Shi Wei, standing behind Ba Yang, quietly whispered in Ba Yang's ear, "Demon King, you'd better act quickly. We'll handle the fiendish ghost behind that old man. The old guy's blind; you don't need to be afraid of him." With that, Shi Wei jumped back, pulling a large black pouch from his clothes. This pouch was used to collect and train ghosts, perfect for dealing with Cheng Long.
Shi Wei and his junior brother Tai Jingke each held a bag with a rope, chanting incantations. Suddenly, the black bags floated up out of thin air, their openings blowing a strange wind—or rather, a mysterious suction—directly towards the evil spirit Cheng Long. Cheng Long covered his face, slowly shuffled forward a couple of steps, took a deep breath, raised his head, and let out a sinister laugh. He opened his mouth wide, and a ghost relic inside burst into flames. The flames were sucked into the bag by the wind. The two brothers from the sorcery sect quickly threw away the burning black bags. A magical artifact had been destroyed by a mere evil spirit; the two brothers were genuinely resentful.
The two men took two steps back, simultaneously removing their shirts to reveal black cloth shamanic robes with red, blue, and yellow patterns underneath. Old Man Leshui took out his ghost-raising bottle and smashed it on the ground. With a 'crack,' the evil spirits he had been raising emerged. This was a classic case of "what's the use of throwing money away," indicating that Old Man Leshui had no intention of leaving alive. The two evil spirits fought side-by-side with the two shamanic disciples. Meanwhile, Ba Yang completely ignored the two evil spirits, focusing intently on Old Man Leshui, wanting to see what skills the old man possessed.
Unexpectedly, Old Man Leshui spoke first: "Bayang, today I will avenge my master. I've waited a long time for this debt." With that, Old Man Leshui, like a young man, leaped swiftly in front of the mischievous Bayang. Perhaps it was his age and frailty, or perhaps he lacked the strength, but Old Man Leshui slowly raised the Qi-Yi Staff and swung it towards Bayang's face. Before it reached his face, Bayang blocked the staff with his only arm, changing the block to a grab, seizing the other end. Bayang chuckled and said, "Heh heh, I thought you were someone important, but you're just a boastful empty shell." Old Man Leshui's every move boosted Bayang's confidence several times over.
However, he wasn't the only one brimming with confidence; Old Man Le Shui also shared the title. Old Man Le Shui smiled smugly and said, "Trying to outsmart me? Humph." Only then did Ba Yang realize something was wrong. Looking at his hand gripping the Qi-Changing Staff, he noticed he'd unknowingly lost three fingers, leaving only his thumb and little finger. Old Man Le Shui was indeed Old Man Le Shui; no one could outwit him. The Qi-Changing Staff had been given to Le Shui by the Ascetic Master before his death. However, Le Shui hadn't used it much at the time, as he had discovered its potential power.
The Qi-Changing Staff is made from a mixture of yin wood from the locust tree and yang wood from the peach tree. Achieving a harmonious union of yin and yang wood without causing any repulsion is an extremely difficult feat, and coincidentally, one of the elders of the Qi-Changing School knew such a skilled individual. The staff's latent power lies in its peach wood end. When used to strike a ghost, it is incredibly effective, killing instantly with a single blow. No matter how powerful the ghost, it will be injured to some extent by this yin-yang staff. However, the locust wood end is completely ineffective against ghosts, and it is equally ineffective against humans. As the saying goes, every advantage has its disadvantage. Since this staff can be used to strike both ghosts and humans, Elder Le Shui, fearing accidental injury, has sealed the Qi-Changing Staff, never allowing it to appear in the world unless absolutely necessary.
Ba Yang quickly withdrew his arm, then glanced at the three fingers lying on the ground. Enraged, he roared, "I'll destroy all of Hebei!" With that, he kicked Old Man Le Shui in the abdomen. The kick was incredibly fast; although Old Man Le Shui knew he was going to kick him, he couldn't dodge it and could only cover his chest to block the attack. Even so, Old Man Le Shui was still kicked two meters away. Old Man Le Shui immediately sprang to his feet, leaning on his qi-stick and panting heavily. Suddenly, a surge of hot air rose from his chest to his throat, and with a 'pfft', Old Man Le Shui vomited blood.
Ba Yang was also furious at this moment, and didn't care about anything else. He took two or three steps and was in front of Old Man Le Shui again. This time, Old Man Le Shui raised his Qi Yi Staff and dodged. Ba Yang's arm smashed the wooden table behind Old Man Le Shui. Old Man Le Shui was seriously injured. While dodging, he pondered how to deal with the troublemaker Ba Yang.
Outside the house, the two evil spirits were evenly matched with Shi Wei and his fellow disciples, both sustaining minor injuries. However, the evil spirits held a slight advantage. Shi Wei and his fellow disciples, being human, needed rest after strenuous activity, while ghosts were different; they felt no fatigue. Exhausted, Shi Wei and Tai Jingke found a moment to stand back-to-back, panting heavily, as two evil spirits, one on each side, slowly approached them.
Seeing the two evil spirits fighting with increasing ferocity, Shi Wei said to his junior brother behind him, "Junior brother, use the He Shi Bi!" Tai Jingke nodded, and the two of them simultaneously tore open their shirts, revealing two small jade stones hanging on their chests. It seemed that these jade stones, after being subjected to the evil sorcery of the old shamans, had acquired the effect of warding off evil spirits. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been saved for last. Although these two jade stones were small, they emitted a powerful light, causing the two evil spirits to leak out their yin energy and retreat repeatedly. The two evil spirits quickly huddled together, which could reduce the flow of yin energy, so that at least when one of the evil spirits ran out of yin energy, it could rely on the yin energy of the other evil spirit to last for a while.
Shi Wei and Tai Jingke exchanged a smile. They knew that using the jade pendant would be enough to deal with these two evil spirits; why waste so much effort? Shi Wei took out a small weapon resembling a hammer, while Tai Jingke took out a silver bowl. The two straightened up and strode towards the two terrified evil spirits. Seeing the situation was dire, the evil spirit Cheng Long used the power of the ghost relic to spew a ball of fire at the two shamans. This fire was the same one they had used before, and the two shamans, naturally, knew this and wouldn't make the same mistake.
Tai Jingke gripped the bottom of the bowl with one hand, positioning the rim towards the flame. Miraculously, the flame was absorbed by the silver bowl. Tai Jingke and his companion let out a strange laugh, looking disdainfully at the two evil spirits, and said, "Let's see what other ways you have to deal with us." Suddenly, the evil spirit raised by the old man Le Shui let out a roar, like a Russian dolphin's cry, but far more mournful. The sound shook the eardrums of the two witches. Seeing the danger, Shi Wei hurriedly warned Tai Jingke, "Junior brother, quickly cover your ears, be careful not to get hit!" Tai Jingke, upon hearing this, quickly covered his ears as well. ================================================================================= Chapter Fourteen: Forbidden Techniques - The Spirit of Brother Yi - Collected and organized by
There's a folk saying that if you hear someone calling your name behind you while walking at night, you should never turn around, otherwise you might bring a ghost home. This isn't entirely true. If someone has already heard a ghost's voice, it means they're already possessed by that ghost. As for those who seem to hear their name being called but aren't entirely sure, it's likely a natural hallucination created by their ears or brain. It's similar to having a feeling of déjà vu when dealing with certain situations.
Furthermore, the moment a person hears the ghost's voice, their yang energy has already been absorbed by the ghost. The reason why the evil ghost Jackie Chan and Zhou Qiang didn't have a long conversation was that Jackie Chan was afraid of unknowingly absorbing Zhou Qiang's yang energy. There are many types of ghost magic, such as possession, sleep paralysis, and so on. What Shi Wei was worried about was that hearing the evil ghost's cries would cause him to experience physical hallucinations.
However, the howl of the evil spirit only lasted for a few dozen seconds. Shi Wei shook his head and chuckled, saying, "I thought the ghosts raised by the Qi Yi Sect had some special abilities, but it turns out they're nothing special." He then gestured for Tai Jingke not to cover his ears. The two took two more steps forward, but stopped. Suddenly, the trees outside the courtyard began to sway, and scattered yin energy swept towards Old Man Le Shui's house from all directions. In just a few dozen seconds, the walls of Old Man Le Shui's house were covered with ghostly heads, pairs of red eyes glaring angrily at the two people in the courtyard, looking as if they wanted to devour them alive.
Shi Wei and Tai Jingke then realized that the strange cries of the evil spirit weren't some kind of magic, but rather a distress signal. All the old and young ghosts from the surrounding villages had gathered, and what puzzled them was why these ghosts obeyed the evil spirit's commands. This was all thanks to the good deeds Old Man Le Shui had accumulated over decades. Old Man Le Shui had helped most of the ghosts clinging to the wall, or their families.
An old ghost was the first to stand atop the wall. This old ghost was none other than the old man selling sheep intestines that Old Man Leshui and Zhou Qiang had seen at the ghost market. The old man was now completely different from the one they had seen before; his once kind and amiable appearance had transformed into a fierce and terrifying one. He gritted his teeth and shouted, "Mr. Leshui has been kind to us all, and now that Mr. Leshui is in trouble, we cannot stand idly by. Kill these two strangely dressed fellows first!" At the old ghost's command, ghosts and monsters from all directions swarmed forward, pinning the two Wu brothers to the ground, rendering them unable to move.
The howl of the evil spirit was heard not only by the nearby ghosts but also by Old Man Leshui. Having lived with the evil spirit for many years, he naturally knew that the strange cry was a plea for help, and he was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan. Old Man Leshui grabbed a chair next to him and threw it at Ba Yang, taking the opportunity to run out. When he came out, he saw the old ghost giving the order to attack the two witches, so he quickly shouted to the old ghost on the wall, "You all have to leave, or you will all die here. Hurry! There is another demon inside!" Old Man Leshui's words were like a death order, but none of the ghosts wavered. The old ghost wiped away his tears, regained his usual amiable demeanor, and said meaningfully, "Mr. Leshui, these ghost friends are all those you have helped before. They cannot sit idly by. Let this old man repay you with my worthless life."
Suddenly, Ba Yang rushed out of the house, reaching out his incomplete hand to grab Old Man Le Shui's back. Old Man Le Shui, with his years of experience, sensed an evil force rapidly approaching him from behind, but it was too late for him to turn around and defend himself. The power of the Hundred Families Robe was no match for a demon; it was like wearing a bulletproof vest—it might reduce the chance of injury, but no one could guarantee complete protection. At this critical moment, Old Ghost flashed and blocked Old Man Le Shui's back, shoving him away. The result was predictable.
Ba Yang's arm pierced through the old ghost's abdomen, stopping its movement. Ba Yang greedily absorbed the old ghost's yin energy, causing the old ghost's body to gradually turn from a ghastly white to transparent. Old Man Le Shui stood up, using his Heavenly Eye to see the blood-soaked old ghost facing him with a peaceful smile until it disappeared. Old Man Le Shui felt a complex mix of emotions. He took a deep breath, suddenly composed himself, and his veins bulged on his face. Suddenly, Old Man Le Shui roared, "Evil Ghost, come!" He then slammed the Qi-Changing Staff into the ground.
The two evil spirits, roused by Old Man Leshui's commanding roar, soared to his shoulders. Two Qi Transformation Diagrams had appeared in Old Man Leshui's hands; he used the still-damp blood from his lips to make a few strokes on them, then pressed them to his palms and made a strange hand gesture in the air. By this time, Ba Yang had almost completely absorbed the Yin energy from the old ghost. He casually tossed the old ghost's empty shell aside, baring his teeth and glaring menacingly at Old Man Leshui.
The old man immediately affixed two Qi-changing diagrams to the chests of the two evil spirits beside him. A rare thing happened: the two evil spirits' bodies rapidly expanded, their previously withered forms becoming incredibly strong, and their teeth bared. The most astonished was the Demon King Ba Yang, because he felt the Yin energy emanating from the two evil spirits slowly increasing, though not yet surpassing his own. Ba Yang asked curiously, "What kind of Qi-changing technique is this?"
Old Man Le Shui, hands on his knees, half-squatted, panting heavily, another trickle of blood flowing from his mouth. Yet, he still wore a strange smile and whispered, "Qi Yi Forbidden Technique!" The Demon King Ba Yang took two steps back, only hearing the third word Old Man Le Shui utter—'Forbidden'. Regarding the forbidden techniques of the Qi Yi School, the Demon King Ba Yang only knew one: the 'Tower Person Forbidden Technique' once used by the Ascetic Master. As the name suggests, it was a spell that used a person as a vessel to seal demons. The Ascetic Master had subdued him with just this one move; one could imagine how terrifying the word 'forbidden' was in Ba Yang's dictionary.
All forbidden arts are meant to shorten one's own lifespan; the sight of blood flowing from Old Man Le Shui's mouth is a living example. The forbidden art before us, which rapidly strengthens the power of evil spirits and yin energy, is called the "Yin Strengthening Technique." As the name suggests, it needs no further explanation. This kind of magic is inherently against the will of Heaven, equivalent to aiding and abetting evil. If it were learned by bad people, the human world would be in turmoil. Therefore, it was listed as a forbidden art by its founder.
The founder of the "Yin-Enhancing Technique" was the 39th generation leader of the Qi Yi School. Legend has it that he possessed psychic abilities from a young age and often associated with ghosts. This explains why the Qi Yi School couldn't gain widespread recognition. In other words, who would believe the words of a person who talks nonsense all day? However, although he didn't bring great fame to the Qi Yi School during his lifetime as its leader, he did achieve something. This leader had a lifelong fondness for raising ghosts, and over time, he created a technique that could enhance the power of ghosts several times over in a short period of time, which he recorded in the list of forbidden techniques in the *Qi Yi Jing*. This is the earliest form of the "Yin-Enhancing Technique." =================================================================================== Chapter Fifteen: The Paper Ball in the Pit - The Spirit of Brother Yi - Collected and organized by
Ba Yang's surprised expression told Old Man Le Shui the extent of his fear. Old Man Le Shui's lips curled into a smile, he snapped his fingers together, and pointed his index finger at the mischievous Ba Yang. In the blink of an eye, two transformed demonic arrows shot towards Ba Yang. Fortunately, Ba Yang had just absorbed the old ghost's years of Yin energy, restoring some of his strength, and barely managed to dodge the attack. Unfortunately, the two demonic arrows smashed a hole in the floor of Old Man Le Shui's living room. Ba Yang's eyes lit up; inside the hole was an oval-shaped object wrapped in a crumpled piece of paper. Could this crumpled paper contain the Yin Demon? Ba Yang suddenly perked up, and facing the two demonic arrows before him, his fear vanished. The two demonic arrows, completely ignoring the crumpled paper in the hole, focused all their spiritual energy on Ba Yang. Ba Yang waved provocatively, and two more evil spirits stepped forward to fight him.
Old Man Le Shui inwardly cried out that something terrible had happened. These two evil spirits had accidentally knocked out the small bottle containing the Yin-Sealing Demon. In the moment, he couldn't care less about anything else and could only hope that the Mischievous Demon Ba Yang hadn't seen it. Suddenly, screams came from behind him. Old Man Le Shui turned around and a look of guilt appeared on his face.
Just now, when Old Man Leshui used the forbidden technique, the two brothers from the sorcery sect behind him finally touched the 'He Shi Bi' fragment with exorcising effects beneath them. The fragment emitted a yellow light, blasting away all the little ghosts attached to the two men. When Old Man Leshui turned around, he saw the ground littered with the dying little ghosts, some of which had already been pierced and disappeared by the yellow light. Tears finally streamed down his face uncontrollably. Old Man Leshui lowered his head and sobbed, "I, Leshui, am sorry to everyone." The Shi brothers stood up. Shi Wei let out a strange laugh and said sarcastically, "Haha, I didn't expect the world-renowned Mr. Leshui to be so cowardly. He cries his heart out just because a few little ghosts died. How touching!" As he spoke, the two brothers laughed at each other.
"Whoever sheds blood with me today, he is my brother," the old man Le Shui suddenly uttered, stopping his sobbing. The two witch brothers were bewildered, staring at the old man, waiting to see what else he would say. Unfortunately, the old man disappointed them. He said nothing, but grabbed the Qi-Changing Staff beside him and charged forward like the wind. The two witch brothers, unaware of what was happening, each had a red mark on their face. Though they were ruthless, the old man Le Shui still had compassion. He didn't use the Qi-Changing Staff's ability to kill the living against them. If they knew the secret of the Qi-Changing Staff, perhaps they would repent.
By the time the two Wu brothers reacted, large red blisters had already appeared on their faces. The junior brother, Tai Jingke, shouted, "You old bastard, you're asking for it!" With that, the two brothers ran to meet him. Although the old man Le Shui was blind, he wielded his staff with remarkable skill. In no time, the two Wu brothers were sprawled on the ground, their bodies covered in bruises, while the old man Le Shui showed no sign of fatigue.
Suddenly, the sound of shattering glass echoed from inside the room. Old Man Leshui turned around and saw three ghosts bursting out of the window. The evil ghost Chenglong was biting Bayang's back forcefully, while the evil ghost Old Man Leshui kept was being tightly gripped by Bayang's fingers. Don't underestimate Bayang's two fingers; they were like a giant clamp, tightly gripping the evil ghost's throat. Seeing the evil ghost's struggles gradually weaken, Old Man Leshui knew it was about to give up. He could only blame his own shallow cultivation; the time he had given the two evil ghosts to "strengthen their yin" had come to an end. At this moment, the two evil ghosts returned to their previous predicament.
Whether to save him or not was no longer the question, because all the successors of the Qi Yi Sect possessed kind hearts. Old Man Le Shui, disregarding the two Wu Sect brothers beside him who were nearly beaten to death, rushed to Ba Yang's side in a few steps and raised the Qi Yi Staff to strike. Ba Yang had personally experienced the power of the Qi Yi Staff, so he dared not be careless in the slightest. As Old Man Le Shui had predicted, Ba Yang released the evil spirit and hurriedly withdrew his arm.
Taking advantage of the moment, Sha Gui Cheng Long picked up the weakened Sha Gui and jumped two meters away. The old man Le Shui's Qi Yi Staff stopped in front of Ba Yang's chest. The old man chuckled and then struck Ba Yang in the chest with the staff. The blow, seemingly weak, was actually incredibly powerful, sending Ba Yang flying back into the house. The old man Le Shui braced himself with the Qi Yi Staff and jumped into the house, fearing Ba Yang would escape. This was a golden opportunity for revenge; if Ba Yang got away, the old man Le Shui would feel guilty for the rest of his life. Ba Yang stumbled to his feet. Looking down, he saw that besides a little white smoke rising from his chest, disgusting rotting flesh was visible. The old man Le Shui was slowly walking towards him. He didn't know how to fight back. With his current power, let alone the Qi Yi Staff, even the hundred-family robe the old man Le Shui was wearing could potentially kill him.
Suddenly, he glanced at the hole in the floor of the main hall. It seemed he had no choice but to try. If the crumpled paper really contained the Yin Demon, perhaps he would be saved. With that thought, he pounced and scrambled over. Only then did Old Man Leshui notice Ba Yang's scheming plot and quickly chased after him. Just as he raised his Qi-Yi Staff, Ba Yang suddenly turned around and kicked Old Man Leshui squarely in the stomach with his right foot. This was a slip-up for Old Man Leshui, who floated in an arc through the air and landed on the bedding at the head of the bed, narrowly escaping death. However, Ba Yang's kick wasn't in vain; Old Man Leshui felt a warm current surge up in his lower abdomen.
He cried out in his heart, "Please don't die, please don't die. I haven't seen my disciple return yet, I haven't avenged my master." Thinking this, the old man Le Shui trembled as he pulled a Qi-Changing Diagram from his robes, unbuttoned his clothes, and pressed it to his chest, temporarily suppressing the bleeding from his abdomen. He took a few deep breaths; his body temperature was gradually returning.
Old Man Leshui's impulsive actions had aroused Ba Yang's suspicion. For such a clever old man to become so flustered, there must be something fishy going on. It seemed the paper ball must contain the Yin Chong Demon. So Ba Yang put down the half-dead Old Man Leshui and quickly crawled towards the earthen hole. Just as Ba Yang suspected, the paper ball did indeed contain the Yin Chong Demon, one of the Chaotic Demons. However, Old Man Leshui knew nothing about how the Yin Chong Demon was sealed or how to break the seal. This was understandable; Master Kuxing had passed away before seeing his disciple grow up, only instructing him to protect the *Qi Yi Jing*, guard the house, and that a Chaotic Demon was sealed there, its location unknown, and that he would return in a few days. Sadly, Master Kuxing never returned, leaving poor Leshui and Lexi, these two unfortunate children, in a difficult situation.
The two brothers from the Wu faction outside were quite tough; despite being beaten black and blue, they still had the strength to stand up. Tai Jingke peeked into the house with his remaining eye, then smacked his lips, which looked like two sausages, and said, "Senior brother, that old man is lying there, almost dead. Let's strike first and kill Le Shui." Shi Wei, in no better shape than his junior brother, nodded, his face swollen. The two had only taken two steps forward when two human heads floated down from the sky and stopped in front of them, staring at them with shrill laughter.
A alluring figure appeared atop the wall. The owner of this figure was none other than Qian Qiuyue. With a smile that suggested she was the mantis stalking the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind, Qian Qiuyue said, "You two old bastards, daring to cause trouble at Grandpa Leshui's house! Today I'll kill you both!" ====================================================================================== Chapter Sixteen: Fleeing in Disarray - Yi Ge's Spirit - Collected and organized by
Shi Wei stared at the two grinning heads before him, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. He muttered to Tai Jingke beside him, "Junior brother, be careful. This young woman knows such vicious black magic." Qian Qiuyue snapped her fingers, and the two heads, their mouths wide open, flew towards the Wupai brothers. Before Shi Wei could say anything, he grabbed Tai Jingke by the back of the head and slammed it down. The two heads grazed past the two Wupai brothers' heads, and Tai Jingke secretly cried out in relief. Turning to look at Shi Wei, he saw that one of the heads had bitten off a tuft of hair from the middle of his already thinning scalp, leaving him with a receding hairline. Shi Wei also felt a cool sensation on his head. Touching it, he discovered that the middle of his head was bald. Enraged, he shouted at Qian Qiuyue on the wall, "Get down here!"
Qian Qiuyue made a face and laughed, "I'm not coming down. Let's see what you two old men do! Come on up, come on up! Mediterranean!" Then Qian Qiuyue snapped her fingers. The Wu Sect disciples knew that Qian Qiuyue must have ordered the two heads to attack them, and they reflexively squatted down. After a long time without seeing anything fly over their heads, Shi Wei curiously raised his head and was almost scared to death. He saw a head floating on his left shoulder, silently grinning at him, with a tuft of gray hair in its mouth.
Qian Qiuyue gave Shi Wei no chance to retaliate, ordering, "Bite him!" Her voice was faster than her actions, a fact clearly demonstrated by Shi Wei's behavior. At that moment, one of Shi Wei's ears had already been bitten off by a head. Enraged, Shi Wei removed the jade tablet from his neck and shone it at the head. The head dodged left and right but couldn't escape the jade's light. The instant the tablet touched the head, it emitted a cloud of green smoke, and within three seconds, the head fell to the ground, a truly lifeless head. Shi Wei let out a strange laugh, turning to see another head still hovering above Tai Jingke's head. Taking advantage of Shi Wei's raised hand, Qian Qiuyue gritted her teeth. Seeing the situation, she knew that heads alone wouldn't be enough to deal with these two mysterious old men. With that thought, she threw out an earthen talisman, which landed squarely on the head's face.
This self-destruction might seem like a surrender, but it wasn't. With a loud "bang," the head covered in earthen talismans exploded. Green, sticky blood splattered all over the courtyard, and the two members of the witch sect weren't spared either. How could green blood ooze from a dead head? Suspicion arose in Shi Wei and Tai Jingke's hearts, and they couldn't help but look at Qian Qiuyue on the wall. Qian Qiuyue confidently said, "You've been poisoned by corpse poison! You're doomed." The witch sect and the sorcery sect were somewhat related, so Shi Wei knew a little about sorcery. Qian Qiuyue's reminder made him realize that the sorcery sect had this method of self-destruction to trap poison. He could only blame himself for not having traveled the mainland for decades. Thinking this, Shi Wei turned and glanced into the room again, only to see many blade-like objects swirling around Hunshi Mobayang. It seemed he couldn't rely on Hunshi Mobayang.
Tai Jingke quickly said, "Senior brother, let's run! As long as we're alive, we can always fight again." He grabbed Shi Wei and rushed out the door. Qian Qiuyue was torn between chasing and not chasing. She had only brought back two remaining heads from Nanyang, and her other magical artifacts were already damaged. If she chased after them now, she feared she wouldn't be a match for the two mysterious old men. If she didn't chase, then once the two mysterious old men recovered their strength, they would return to seek revenge on the Qi Yi Sect, and if they injured Xie Qifeng... That's it! Xie Qifeng! The name Xie Qifeng seemed to spur Qian Qiuyue on like an endless driving force. This force prompted her to jump off the wall and chase after them bare-handed. Even if it meant death, she would protect the 'husband' who had cried in her dreams while holding her.
Tai Jingke and Shi Wei, severely injured and less agile than usual, stumbled to the taxi they had come from, opened the door, and threw the dead driver's body to the ground. Just as they sat down, Qian Qiuyue rushed over. Shi Wei cursed, "That damned girl, she dared to chase after us! If outsiders find out, where will we put our faces?!" He then opened the car window, and Qian Qiuyue kicked the door open. Shi Wei shouted from inside, "You little brat, just die!" He then clenched his fist and scattered a handful of yellow powder, which drifted around Qian Qiuyue.
Qian Qiuyue had a bad feeling. Based on her experience in the martial arts world, she knew that the yellow powder was definitely poison. She quickly held her breath. By then, Tai Jingke and Shi Wei had already driven away. Suddenly, Qian Qiuyue felt a sharp pain in her eyes, and then everything went black. She groped around until she touched a large tree, realizing she was blind. She was unwilling to accept this, not because Shi Wei had betrayed her, but because she felt she was no longer worthy of Xie Qifeng. Xie Qifeng, oh Xie Qifeng, where are you?! Thinking this, Qian Qiuyue burst into tears. A few minutes later, the crying stopped abruptly, and Qian Qiuyue was found unconscious, leaning against the tree.
Where was Xie Qifeng? He and Zhou Qiang were in a taxi, on their way back to Hebei. Suddenly, another taxi sped past. Xie Qifeng frowned and said to Zhou Qiang beside him, "Senior brother, that taxi that just drove by looks familiar. I feel like I've seen it somewhere before, and not long ago." Zhou Qiang's mind was full of thoughts of Old Man Le Shui, and he didn't care about anything else. He scolded impatiently, "What time is it? You still have the mind to think about other things! The Mischievous Demon has already arrived in Hebei, and he might have already started fighting with Master." As he spoke, he leaned forward and said to the driver, "Master, could you please hurry up?" Seeing that Zhou Qiang was very angry earlier, the driver didn't dare to provoke him, so he nodded and sped up the taxi.
Now, let's talk about Old Man Leshui again. The Mischievous Demon crawled to the paper ball in the pit and reached for it. Old Man Leshui, having recovered his senses, struggled to sit up and shouted, "Don't touch it!" The Mischievous Demon, Ba Yang, paid no heed, turning back to give Old Man Leshui a smug smile before picking up the paper ball. Ba Yang used his teeth to peel the layers of paper off the bottle in the middle. In no time, the ground was covered with over ninety pieces of paper, each with different words drawn on it.
Ba Yang chuckled to himself, lying on the ground. Only one sheet of paper remained; he would soon see his beloved Yin Chongmo. With that thought, he carefully tore off the last sheet of the Qi Yi Diagram with his teeth. Suddenly, a piercing shriek echoed from the sky. Ba Yang screamed and dropped the small bottle. It wasn't that he didn't want to keep the bottle, but the scorching heat emanating from it was unbearable.
Ba Yang rolled on the ground, clutching his charred hands. Just then, Old Man Le Shui, leaning on his Qi-Changing staff, slowly approached him. Ba Yang gritted his teeth, stood up, and said to Old Man Le Shui, "You old bastard, what did you do to the bottle? I should kill you!" Old Man Le Shui seemed not to hear him, continuing to walk slowly forward. Ba Yang took a step forward, unaware that the ninety-odd Qi-Changing diagrams behind him suddenly flew up. The Qi-Changing diagrams wrapped in the bottle were completely different from those Zhou Qiang usually used; they weren't made of yellow paper but of shimmering silver tin foil. Tin foil is used in folk tradition to separate the living from the dead. From a distance, the shimmering silver Qi-Changing diagrams looked like sharp blades. ================================================================================== Chapter Seventeen: Le Shui's Martyrdom - The Spirit of Brother Yi - Collected and organized by
The mischievous demon Ba Yang took only one step forward before letting out a bloodcurdling scream. Blade-like Qi Yi diagrams flew everywhere, repeatedly slicing through every inch of Ba Yang's skin, giving him no chance to breathe. Old Man Le Shui, leaning on his Qi Yi staff, sighed, "Alas, Ba Yang. My master, Master Ku Xing, could have killed you. The reason he didn't was that he hoped you could repent, resolve your resentment, and become a good ghost again. But..." At this point, Old Man Le Shui shook his head helplessly. "But you not only killed my master, but also slaughtered so many people. For both reason and morality, I will not let you go."
At this moment, the ninety-odd chapters of the soaring Qi Yi Diagram had slashed the body of the Mischievous Demon Ba Yang until it was a bloody mess, leaving not a single patch of intact skin. Ba Yang's eyes dimmed, and he said, "Could I really have been wrong?" Suddenly, he raised his head sharply, enduring the pain, and sneered, "Impossible, what you're saying must be false. Ascetic's little skill can't kill me at all." As soon as he finished speaking, the ninety-odd chapters of the Qi Yi Diagram instantly stiffened and pierced into his body with lightning speed, immobilizing Ba Yang. Old Man Le Shui picked up the Qi Yi Staff and said as he walked, "You still won't admit your mistake. Today I will avenge my dead master and Junior Brother Zhang." After saying that, Old Man Le Shui's pace quickened, gradually changing from walking to running. With a sudden movement, Old Man Le Shui swung the Qi Yi Staff and pierced through Ba Yang's body.
Ba Yang, powerless to struggle, drooped his head. The immense Yin energy vanished instantly, proving Ba Yang's life was over. Old Man Le Shui slumped to the ground with a thud, letting out a sigh of relief. Like a child, he looked up at the sky and said, "Master, did you see? I avenged you." Although Ba Yang's ghost was dead, the village chief's corpse remained. Old Man Le Shui glanced at the corpse, wondering what to do. Before he could figure it out, more trouble struck. Suddenly, black smoke began to rise from the mouth of the small bottle in the pit. Old Man Le Shui cried out in alarm; perhaps the Yin Demon was about to emerge. He quickly took off his Hundred-Family Robe and wrapped it around the small bottle. He hoped it could hold on a little longer, until his disciple returned. Lost in thought, Old Man Le Shui also fainted. His body slowly grew cold, like a corpse, or rather, he had already become a corpse. At the advanced age of eighty, having to endure such a perilous fight was beyond repair, even if Old Man Leshui wanted to persevere, his frail and aged body was powerless to do so. The two evil spirits slowly floated down from the roof and knelt beside Old Man Leshui in silent mourning.
As dusk fell, two taxis drove into Yinfeng Village together. Zhou Qiang and his companion paid and got out of one taxi, while Zhang Xiaolong jumped out of the other. Zhang Xiaolong had originally intended to go to Tibet with Zhou Qiang and his companion, but since this was the only remaining bloodline of the Maoshan Sect, Zhou Qiang was extremely worried about Zhang Xiaolong's safety. Despite Zhang Xiaolong's strong reluctance, he took him to his home to recuperate. Now that they had returned from Tibet, Zhou Qiang called Zhang Xiaolong before they returned to Yinfeng Village. Suddenly, Zhou Qiang noticed two people lying under a tree ahead, a man and a woman. The man appeared to have been dead for a long time. Because the woman's hair was too long, obscuring her face, none of the three could clearly see her features.
However, Xie Qifeng felt a pang of heartache looking at the woman. Suddenly, he opened his eyes wide and cried out, "It's Qian Qiuyue!" This call of love actually woke the unconscious Qian Qiuyue. Qian Qiuyue stood up, leaning against a large tree, and asked, "Xie Qifeng, is that you?" Xie Qifeng ran over and saw that although Qian Qiuyue's eyes were tightly closed, a little blood was flowing from them. He couldn't help but hug her tightly, saying with heartache, "Why are you back? What happened to your eyes?" Qian Qiuyue suddenly perked up, grabbing Xie Qifeng's arm and saying, "Don't worry about me, go see Grandpa Leshui! Grandpa Leshui, he..." Then she fainted again. Xie Qifeng picked Qian Qiuyue up in his arms.
Upon hearing this, Zhou Qiang and Xie Qifeng ran straight home, with Zhang Xiaolong close behind. Zhou Qiang activated his Heavenly Eye and kicked open the door. He saw Old Man Le Shui lying in the main hall, two evil spirits kneeling on either side of him, and a corpse impaled on a stick standing nearby. Zhou Qiang couldn't believe his eyes. Suddenly, he felt dizzy and disoriented. He slowly walked towards Old Man Le Shui, tears and snot streaming down his face. Xie Qifeng carefully placed Qian Qiuyue on the ground and knelt beside the peaceful Old Man Le Shui. Zhou Qiang squatted down, took Old Man Le Shui's cold hand and placed it on his face, saying blankly, "Master, wake up. Oh, you're tired. Let me carry you to bed." He then tried to pick up Old Man Le Shui. Xie Qifeng, unable to bear it any longer, pushed Zhou Qiang to the ground and shouted, "What are you doing! Uncle-Master Le Shui is dead. Zhou Qiang, wake up! You need to face reality!"
Zhou Qiang finally couldn't suppress his grief and cried out in anguish. He slowly crawled to Old Man Le Shui's side, sobbing, "Master, didn't you say you'd wait for me to come back? You broke your promise! What am I supposed to do?!" He kept slapping himself, "It's all my fault, I shouldn't have left you. It's all my fault!" A few 'slaps' later, Zhou Qiang's scalp swelled up. Zhang Xiaolong stood to the side, unsure how to interject. Seeing Zhou Qiang slapping himself, he quickly stepped forward to stop him.
Zhou Qiang then noticed the Qi Yi Diagram affixed to Old Man Le Shui's chest, and curiously peeled it off. This Qi Yi Diagram had sealed Old Man Le Shui's soul, allowing him to persevere until he killed the Demon Lord Ba Yang through sheer willpower. Now that Zhou Qiang had removed the Qi Yi Diagram, Old Man Le Shui's soul was released. His soul floated into the air, his body glowing with a golden light, and peacefully said, "Ji Ye Ji Yan. Your master is taking his leave now. Having killed the Demon Lord Ba Yang, I have the face to meet the ancestors of the Qi Yi Sect."
Zhou Qiang looked up at the spirit of Old Man Leshui and cried out, "Master, where are you going? Please stay! Your disciple can't live without you!" He then began to kowtow violently. Xie Qifeng, seeing this, imitated Zhou Qiang and kowtowed as well. Old Man Leshui's spirit laughed and said, "Ji Ye, you little bastard, if you cause any more trouble, I'll beat you!" He then made a gesture of raising his cane. This was a gesture Zhou Qiang usually dreaded, but now Zhou Qiang shamelessly pleaded, "Please, Master, hit me. Hit me hard!"
A hint of reluctance flashed across Old Man Leshui's face as he said, "Jiye, don't be willful. My heart will always be with you." In the distance, the spirit of Lexi Po waved to Old Man Leshui, who smiled gently and said, "I'm on vacation now. The rest is up to you. The heavy responsibility of passing on the Qi Yi Sect rests on your shoulders." Old Man Leshui turned to the evil spirit he had raised and said, "You should also take a vacation. Go and live your own life. Thank you for accompanying me through so many years of life and death." With that, Old Man Leshui and the spirit of Lexi Po vanished.
Seeing its master dead, the evil spirit raised by Old Man Le Shui had no attachment to the place and turned into a wisp of black smoke, drifting away. Xie Qifeng and Zhou Qiang carefully carried Old Man Le Shui's body to the bed. Zhou Qiang took a deep breath and turned to the evil spirit Cheng Long, asking fiercely, "Cheng Long! Where's the Mischievous Demon?" Cheng Long was startled by Zhou Qiang's expression and explained, "The Mischievous Demon Ba Yang was killed by Mr. Le Shui, but the other one is here." As he spoke, the evil spirit Cheng Long pointed to the small bottle wrapped in the Hundred Family Clothes. =================================================================================== Chapter 18 Yin Heavy Demon - Yi Ge's Spirit - Collected and organized by
Zhou Qiang glanced at the small bottle wrapped in the Hundred Families Robe, snorted, clenched his fist, and said, "There's another one?! I'll destroy it today!" He then turned to walk forward. The Demon King Cheng Long spread his arms, blocking Zhou Qiang's path. Zhou Qiang was furious at this moment, glaring at Cheng Long and roaring, "Cheng Long, what are you doing! Why are you stopping me?" Cheng Long boldly retorted, "The Chaos Demon here has already been sealed, why are you releasing it?!" Zhou Qiang's clenched fists cracked as he said, "What's the use of sealing the Chaos Demon? In the end, it'll just be released by bad people to harm others!" He then glanced at Zhang Xiaolong, "Master Zhang and my master are examples! I'm going to kill the Chaos Demon today to prevent future troubles. If I don't kill it, I swear I'm not human." The determination for revenge was deeply rooted in Zhou Qiang's heart; stopping him now was futile.
Xie Qifeng straightened the clothes of the deceased old man Le Shui, stood up, and said to the evil ghost Cheng Long, "Cheng Long, just let us go. I know you're worried about our safety. But if we don't go to hell, who will?" He stepped forward and patted Zhou Qiang's shoulder, "Brother, I'll go with you. If we're brothers, we'll go all the way. I'll be with you even in death. But," Xie Qifeng's eyes dimmed, glancing at the unconscious Qian Qiuyue lying on the ground outside the window, and said to Zhang Xiaolong beside him, "Xiaolong, take care of Qian Qiuyue. Leave this to us."
"I'm not a coward either!" Zhang Xiaolong said, taking the peach wood sword from behind him, biting his index finger, and smearing his blood on the sword to enhance its power. The evil spirit Cheng Long wisely sidestepped, his mind already hardened. Zhou Qiang charged forward, throwing his rags aside and grabbing the small, burning bottle. Was this the Demon of Chaos sealed inside? Zhou Qiang examined the bottle, then suddenly slammed it to the ground, shouting, "Go to hell!" Although Zhou Qiang had little formal education, he never swore. Judging from the foul language he uttered, one could imagine the devastating impact of Old Man Le Shui's death on him.
The small bottle shattered on the ground with a 'clatter.' Thick black smoke billowed from it, causing the group to cough repeatedly. As the smoke gradually dissipated, a female ghost dressed in red suddenly appeared. This ghost had disheveled hair and a deathly pale face. Unlike the other demons, her eyes were black, or rather, devoid of whites. A red mark, characteristic of Japanese women, was imprinted on the center of her lips. She gave off a chilling aura. Xie Qifeng and Zhang Xiaolong both shuddered; they hadn't expected the Yin Chong Demon to be a female ghost.
Only Zhou Qiang remained unsurprised, for the concept of surprise had vanished from his mind; only one word remained: kill! Zhou Qiang stepped forward and kicked Yin Chongmo in the stomach. Yin Chongmo let out a strange cry and fell into the courtyard. It wasn't difficult for anyone to understand the reason behind this. If someone imprisoned you and then rescued you, you would be 100% grateful to that person, and Yin Chongmo felt the same way. Caught completely off guard, being kicked away by Zhou Qiang was understandable. Yin Chongmo lay prostrate on the ground, looking at Zhou Qiang curiously, and asked in a shrill voice, "Who are you? Why did you save me, and why did you hit me?"
Zhou Qiang cracked his knuckles and said casually, "Guess!" He then drew his Soul-Destroying Thorn from his back and charged towards Yin Chongmo. This time, Yin Chongmo wasn't careless; he pushed off with his hind legs and leaped into the air. Zhou Qiang, focused solely on killing, completely forgot the basic techniques of the Qi Yi School. He rushed forward, vaulting over Yin Chongmo's crotch, but missed completely. Yin Chongmo chuckled evilly, saying, "Heh heh, you little brat, you think you can easily hurt me?" Zhang Xiaolong and his companion also rushed out of the house. Zhang Xiaolong grabbed the peach wood sword and roared, "Demon! Take this!" He then thrust the peach wood sword at Yin Chongmo with a gust of wind. Yin Chongmo sneered and swung his right hand, knocking the peach wood sword to the ground. Zhang Xiaolong secretly thought how powerful this devil was; he could effortlessly knock away a peach wood sword stained with a boy's blood. Clearly, the devil's reputation was well-deserved. Yin Chongmo placed his right hand behind his back and said disdainfully, "So you're just a kid from Maoshan. Do you think you can hurt me with such a small trick?" A little white smoke rose from Yin Chongmo's right hand hidden behind his back, because no one would notice it. Unfortunately, he forgot about Zhou Qiang behind him.
Xie Qifeng tossed aside the three incense sticks in his hand, rushed to the Yin Chongmo in a few steps, and leaped up, grabbing the Yin Chongmo's foot. The Yin Chongmo exclaimed, "Such a powerful Yin energy palm!" With that, it kicked Xie Qifeng to the ground with its other foot. Only then did the Yin Chongmo examine Xie Qifeng. Suddenly, its eyes lit up, and it licked its lips, saying, "So it's the Heavenly Yin Star. Eating you will definitely greatly increase my Yin energy. Haha." It then tried to grab Xie Qifeng, but the Yin Chongmo realized it was trapped; its entire body was fixed in place by a demonic spirit. Xie Qifeng got up from the ground, smiling smugly, and said, "The plan succeeded!" The Yin Chongmo glared at the demonic spirit behind it and roared, "What's going on here?"
It turns out that Xie Qifeng used the Qi Gathering Yin Technique with three incense sticks. His purpose was not to capture the floating Yin Heavy Demon, but to use the huge Yin energy gathered by the technique to cover up the Yin energy on the evil ghost's body so that the Yin Heavy Demon would not be able to detect the existence of the evil ghost Cheng Long. In this way, Cheng Long would have an opportunity to capture the Yin Heavy Demon.
The evil ghost Jackie Chan leaned close to Yin Chongmo and whispered, "Go to the underworld and ask King Yama what's going on." Suddenly, Jackie Chan's eyes widened, and he seemed to be holding his breath as he roared, "Thousand-pound pressure!" With a 'plop,' both Jackie Chan and Yin Chongmo landed on the ground, their four ghostly feet sinking deep into the soil.
The well-known phenomenon of sleep paralysis is a trick used by rudimentary ghosts. The ghost increases the weight of its yin energy to press down on the person's body, causing a feeling of suffocation. More advanced ghosts using sleep paralysis can cause death by suffocation or myocardial infarction. Even more powerful ghosts, such as malevolent spirits, can gather even stronger yin energy to use a powerful pressure technique. This type of ghostly manipulation is generally used to harm people, but the malevolent spirit Cheng Long used it on a malevolent demon.
Trapped and helpless, the Yin Demon twisted its head 180 degrees and bit down on the shoulder of the evil spirit Cheng Long with its sharp fangs. "Ah!" Cheng Long roared in pain. Seeing Zhou Qiang's worried expression, Cheng Long endured the pain and shouted, "Don't worry about me, kill it! I can't hold on much longer!" First, there was the death of Old Man Le Shui, and then his good brother Cheng Long was injured. Zhou Qiang was still just a child, and he really couldn't bear such a blow. With a loud roar, the purple energy seeping from every pore of his body gradually gathered together, presenting an unprecedentedly powerful purple aura.
The scent of purple aura was like carbon monoxide to humans, and Yin Chongmo was no exception. Yin Chongmo loosened its teeth, about to turn its head, when the evil ghost Cheng Long quickly used its right hand to press down on Yin Chongmo's head, preventing it from turning. Since Yin Chongmo's head was unusable, it instinctively used its freed right hand to defend itself. Zhang Xiaolong picked up the peach wood sword and slashed down fiercely, but his skill was still shallow, and the peach wood sword broke, leaving only a scratch on Yin Chongmo's wrist. Zhou Qiang shouted from the side, "Let me handle this!"
After speaking, Zhou Qiang picked up the Soul-Destroying Thorn and swung it. The Soul-Destroying Thorn itself wasn't particularly impressive, but the purple aura emanating from Zhou Qiang was truly powerful. The purple aura instantly enveloped the descending Soul-Destroying Thorn, severing it along with Yin Chongmo's arm. Yin Chongmo roared in agony. The three of them couldn't bear the ear-piercing sound and had to crouch down, covering their ears. ====================================================================================== Chapter Nineteen: Believe in Miracles - Yi Ge's Spirit - Collected and Organized by
Of the Four Demons of Chaos, only Qi Yi Demon was truly obedient, followed by Ba Yang, then Yin Zhong, with Ximen Guiying being the weakest in terms of magical power. Yin Zhong Demon, as his name suggests, was named for his powerful and abundant Yin energy. As his arm was severed, it let out a sawing roar, forcing the others to cover their ears. Just as the three were at a loss, they heard Sha Gui Chenglong shout, "Hurry up! I can't hold on much longer!"
Zhou Qiang, enduring the piercing sound, grabbed the Soul-Destroying Dagger and charged forward. Suddenly, Yin Chongmo took a step forward, dragging the half-dead demon Cheng Long behind him. Seeing Zhou Qiang also running over, Cheng Long tightly embraced Yin Chongmo, immobilizing him. Yin Chongmo glared fiercely at Cheng Long and said, "I never expected to have a lackey like you by our side. You're a disgrace to us." With that, it repeatedly struck Cheng Long's abdomen with its elbow. After several blows, Cheng Long spat out demonic blood and a shiny black bead.
It seemed that the demonic Jackie Chan had given up on life, spitting out the ghost relic to avoid becoming a burden to Zhou Qiang. The purple aura around Zhou Qiang enveloped him once more, and as he charged forward, a continuous streak of purple light trailed behind him, a truly beautiful sight. Yin Chongmo's eyes lit up, and he jumped aside. Xie Qifeng and Zhang Xiaolong, seeing this, also rushed forward unarmed. Zhou Qiang scooped up the collapsing Jackie Chan, gently placing him on the ground, and softly said, "Jackie Chan, it's all my fault." He then picked up the ghost relic and placed it in Jackie Chan's mouth, saying, "This ghost relic is our promise; even if I die, I will accompany you. How could you leave me so easily? Rest well." The demonic Jackie Chan, with his eyes half-open and half-closed, smiled and then closed them again.
Zhang Xiaolong pulled out a talisman and lunged forward, intending to stick it on the Yin Chong Demon to dissipate its Yin energy. However, his skills were mediocre, and he was kicked back just as he reached the demon's face. Xie Qifeng caught Zhang Xiaolong, who had been kicked back by the Yin Chong Demon, and the two nodded to each other, staring at the demon. Xie Qifeng took off his coat, revealing his demon-repelling armor, and gritted his teeth, cursing, "Damn it, I don't believe I can't hurt you!" He then casually threw his clothes on the ground and charged forward again with Zhang Xiaolong. The Yin Chong Demon looked at the heavily Yin-energetic Xie Qifeng, licked its lips, and seemed to see delicious food.
At this moment, the color drained from Xie Qifeng's body, making him almost indistinguishable from a living dead. Even Zhang Xiaolong beside him could feel the menacing yin energy emanating from Xie Qifeng. Yin Chongmo stretched out a foot, intending to kick Xie Qifeng away, but the kick landed squarely on Xie Qifeng's stomach. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Xie Qifeng grabbed Yin Chongmo's foot, took two steps back, and laughed, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, saying, "Hehe, caught you now." Yin Chongmo was shocked; it turned out this kid had come to fight him to the death. Xie Qifeng had trapped him as a human shield, giving Zhang Xiaolong a chance to apply the talisman.
Yin Chongmo desperately tried to pull back his right leg, but failed each time. Xie Qifeng, a former soldier, would have been useless if he hadn't learned some skills. Zhang Xiaolong seized the opportunity and stuck a talisman on Yin Chongmo's thigh. He grabbed Xie Qifeng's arm and urged, "Get out of the way!" Xie Qifeng grinned wickedly and said, "Get out of the way?" In the blink of an eye, Xie Qifeng raised his hammer-like right hand and punched Yin Chongmo's shin. With a 'crack', Yin Chongmo's shin was broken by Xie Qifeng. White smoke rose from the thigh where Zhang Xiaolong had stuck the talisman, and Yin Chongmo knew that his yin energy had been drained. It was like a water bottle with a hole poked in the bottom; water would keep flowing out.
Xie Qifeng, barely suppressing the Yin Chongmo's agonizing roars, lowered its leg and reached out to grab its neck. The Yin Chongmo took two steps back, dodging Xie Qifeng's attack. Zhang Xiaolong then threw a talisman like a dart, which the Yin Chongmo dodged each time. The Yin Chongmo sneered, but before it could speak, Zhou Qiang suddenly leaped into the air from behind, gripping the Soul-Destroying Thorn with both hands, shouting, "Die!" With that, Zhou Qiang plunged the Soul-Destroying Thorn deep into the Yin Chongmo's skull. The Yin Chongmo shook itself, forcefully throwing Zhou Qiang away. Enraged, the Yin Chongmo swiftly knocked down Xie Qifeng and Zhang Xiaolong, then limped slowly towards the fallen Zhou Qiang.
Yin Chongmo tilted his head and slowly pulled out the Soul-Destroying Thorn with his left hand, then threw it on the ground. "Your Qi Yi Sect is nothing special, isn't it? No one but ascetics can kill me!" Yin Chongmo's expression began to turn ferocious, even Zhou Qiang was a little scared. Suddenly, Xie Qifeng rushed out from behind and hugged Yin Chongmo, shouting to Zhou Qiang, "Senior brother, run! Wait until you've mastered the magic to avenge us!" At this moment, Zhang Xiaolong also hugged Yin Chongmo's legs and shouted, "Yes, you should run, Zhou Qiang!" Zhou Qiang sprang to his feet and laughed, "You want to see my master, right? I'll grant your wish!" After saying that, Zhou Qiang took out a Qi Yi diagram. In addition to the usual Qi Yi strokes, Zhou Qiang added three more characters—sixty-three. The 63rd generation disciple of the Qi Yi Sect was none other than Master Ku Xing himself. Zhou Qiang looked up to the sky and shouted, "The 65th generation successor of the Qi Yi Sect acts on behalf of Heaven, hoping that the Ancestral Master will grant me magical power." After saying this, he tried to swallow the Qi Yi Diagram. Yin Chongmo secretly cried out that something terrible was about to happen. If Master Ku Xing was summoned, he would be doomed. It was Master Ku Xing who had sealed him away back then, and Yin Chongmo still harbored a shadow over that memory.
Yin Chongmo's arms and legs were currently bound by these two seemingly indestructible flies. In desperation, he blew out a gust of evil wind, which, with considerable force, sent the Qi Yi Diagram flying from Zhou Qiang's hand. The wind blew directly into the bedroom. Yin Chongmo's body jolted violently, throwing Zhang Xiaolong and Xie Qifeng aside. Zhang Xiaolong's head hit the steps of the main room, and he lost consciousness. Xie Qifeng was also thrown against the wall; although his eyes were open, he was too weak to stand.
Now only Zhou Qiang remained, utterly alone, alongside the enraged Yin Chongmo. Time seemed to stand still. Zhou Qiang hesitated. Was releasing Yin Chongmo a mistake? He could have killed everyone here and then gone free to wreak havoc on humanity. No! As the 65th generation successor of the Qi Yi Sect, I have a duty to kill Yin Chongmo. Although we are currently outnumbered, I believe in miracles. With that thought, Zhou Qiang closed his eyes, a smile playing on his lips.
Yin Chongmo, curious, said, "Little brat, what are you laughing at!" Zhou Qiang, facing imminent disaster, showed no fear on his face. Instead, he closed his eyes and continued to laugh, saying, "The righteous energy of heaven and earth, only I can fathom it." This left Yin Chongmo completely bewildered. Enraged, Yin Chongmo shouted, "Little brat, you're courting death!" He then extended his sharp claws, aiming for Zhou Qiang's heart. At this moment, the purple aura surrounding Zhou Qiang vanished, failing to appear to protect him. Xie Qifeng let out a long, loud cry: "No!"
Zhou Qiang, still wearing an innocent smile, closed his eyes and silently murmured, "A miracle, a miracle will happen." Although he didn't know how the miracle would happen, he firmly believed it. Suddenly, a voice of praise came from inside the house: "What a fine line, 'The righteous spirit of heaven and earth, only I can fathom it!' Even in the face of great calamity, you remain unfazed; truly worthy of being the sixty-fifth generation leader of our sect." ===================================================================================== Chapter Twenty: Heaven and Earth Return Together - Yi Ge's Spirit - Collected and Organized by
Yin Chongmo and his fellow disciples Zhou Qiang all turned their heads towards the house. There, Old Man Leshui emerged, a smile of approval on his face. Beside him followed a Yin-Yang snake, its body arched, its tongue flicking at Yin Chongmo. Master? No, that voice definitely wasn't Master's. It sounded even more powerful and resonant. What was going on? Zhou Qiang's mind was filled with questions. Only the soul of the Qi Yi Sect successor possessing Old Man Leshui could provide the answers.
Yin Chongmo stopped attacking Zhou Qiang, stared wide-eyed at Old Man Leshui, and stammered, "Who are you?" His tone wasn't one of questioning Old Man Leshui, but rather of someone who had seen him before. Old Man Leshui, with a smile like that of an old friend meeting, said, "Yin Chong, don't you even remember my voice?" Yin Chongmo took two steps back, even forgetting to attack Zhou Qiang who was standing shoulder to shoulder with him. Yin Chongmo thought to himself, "As expected," but he wasn't giving up, still asking with a sliver of hope, "You wouldn't happen to be the Ascetic Master, would you?!"
"Looks like you finally recognize me." Old Man Leshui chuckled as he took a step forward. Yin Chongmo's heart shattered completely. He hurriedly cried out, "Don't come any closer! I broke that brat's spell! How did you get out?!" The question Yin Chongmo asked was also what Zhou Qiang and Xie Qifeng wanted to know, but unfortunately, they would never find out. Old Man Leshui glanced at the Yin-Yang snake at his feet, smiling without saying a word.
Remember how Qin Shuang, in a fit of anger, threw the Yin-Yang Snake at Zhou Qiang and stormed off back to Yunnan? This Yin-Yang Snake, having traveled with Qin Shuang daily, was like a reflection of her; seeing it reminded Zhou Qiang of Qin Shuang, filling him with guilt. Zhou Qiang and Xie Qifeng then embarked on a long journey to Tibet. Zhou Qiang still carried the Yin-Yang Snake with him, but worried that seeing it would remind him of Qin Shuang, he kept it in his satchel. He didn't even take it out to aid him during the battle against Ximen Ghost Infant. Or perhaps the young Yin-Yang Snake itself was afraid of 'demons,' but this couldn't be entirely blamed on the snake, as it was still a juvenile. It's like a child being afraid of a large wolfhound; however, as the child grows into an adult, the fear naturally dissipates.
Afterwards, Zhou Qiang and his group returned to their hometown in Hebei. The Yin-Yang Snake, just as it was about to emerge to catch its breath, heard Zhou Qiang's thunderous cries and was immediately too frightened to show itself. Only when Zhou Qiang and his group began fighting the Yin Heavy Demon did the Yin-Yang Snake cautiously emerge from Zhou Qiang's bag. The Yin Heavy Demon's powerful Yin energy prevented the Yin-Yang Snake from attacking rashly, and it could only watch as Zhou Qiang and his group fought the Yin Heavy Demon. It wasn't until Zhou Qiang invoked the spirits and the Qi Yi Diagram in his hand was knocked away by the Yin Heavy Demon that the Yin-Yang Snake became anxious. Just as it was about to rush forward to help, it saw the Qi Yi Diagram float down into the bedroom.
The Yin-Yang Serpent had witnessed Zhou Qiang's attempt to swallow the Qi Yi Diagram. It reasoned that the diagram's power only took effect when consumed. So, the Yin-Yang Serpent swiftly picked up the diagram, glanced around, and leaped onto the bedside. Looking at Old Man Le Shui's cold corpse, the Yin-Yang Serpent had no choice but to take a gamble. It forcefully pried open Old Man Le Shui's stiff mouth and placed the Qi Yi Diagram inside. The diagram, seemingly made of glutinous rice paper, rapidly melted in Old Man Le Shui's mouth, slowly flowing down his throat.
The miracle Zhou Qiang had been waiting for finally happened! Suddenly, Old Man Leshui emitted a blinding yellow light, and even the Yin-Yang Snake covered its eyes with its tail. By the time the Yin-Yang Snake lowered its tail, Old Man Leshui had already gotten off the bed and walked outside. The Yin-Yang Snake, without a second thought, followed him. That's how the scene just now unfolded.
Yin Chongmo finally reacted, grabbing Zhou Qiang and choking him, saying, "Ku Xing, don't come any closer, or I'll kill him." Zhou Qiang's neck already bore five bloody welts from Yin Chongmo's grip. He said in a weak voice, "Grandmaster, don't worry about me, kill it! Don't let it harm the world." Seeing Zhou Qiang's resolute tone and the determined expression on Old Man Le Shui's face, Yin Chongmo immediately changed his attitude, saying, "Master Ku Xing, spare me. I'll let your grand-disciple go, okay? I'm a woman, please, have mercy on me." Although he said this, Yin Chongmo's grip on Zhou Qiang's neck didn't loosen at all.
"My grand-disciple released you with the intention of eliminating you," said the old man Le Shui, reaching into his pocket. Fortunately, he still had two Qi Yi diagrams inside. "How about this, I'll give you two choices." Seeing that things had indeed taken a turn for the better, Yin Chongmo quickly smiled obsequiously and said, "So, Master Kuxing really intends to let me go? Thank you." Possessed by Master Kuxing, the old man Le Shui didn't even glance at Yin Chongmo. He bit his finger, drew ink from the two Qi Yi diagrams, and said, "First, I kill you. Second, this Yin-Yang snake kills you. Choose one."
The Yin Chong Demon Dog, driven to desperation, turned its laughter into rage and said viciously, "You mean you won't let me go!" It tightened its grip on Zhou Qiang's neck, and although Zhou Qiang's face grew even more pale, he didn't utter a sound of pain. Le Shui, under the influence of the ascetic practice, nodded inwardly. "Truly a man," he thought, "no wonder he's the head of the Qi Yi Sect. Le Shui has good judgment." Thinking this, the old man Le Shui called out, "Come!" This was directed at the Yin-Yang Snake, which, understanding human nature, immediately jumped onto the old man's palm. The old man Le Shui then affixed a Qi Yi diagram to the snake's back, saying, "You two grand-disciples, watch carefully. This is called the Qi Yi Supporting Animal Technique. It allows animals with human-like abilities to grow rapidly in a short time, increasing their strength." Before he finished speaking, the Yin-Yang Snake had already grown to over three meters long and as thick as a wrist.
Before Elder Le Shui could speak, the Yin-Yang Serpent pounced like lightning. It was so fast that Yin Chongmo didn't even have time to react before his chin was bitten off. Yin Chongmo instinctively released Zhou Qiang, clutching his mouth and hissing, "My chin! Where's my chin?" Zhou Qiang seized the opportunity to kick Yin Chongmo, then rolled on the ground to Xie Qifeng's side.
The Yin-Yang Serpent swallowed the Yin-Yang Demon's chin and continued its lightning-fast attack. The serpent thrashed about, whipping the demon's head with its leathery tail, nearly stunning it. Old Man Le Shui glanced at the slowly rising sun, thinking that time was running out and it seemed he had no choice but to resort to that method. Ghosts are extremely rare during the day, unless in damp environments. Otherwise, the yin energy on a ghost will evaporate under the sun's rays, until it vanishes into nothingness. Alternatively, one can use the flesh of a dead person combined with a sunshade to walk during the day. The Mischievous Demon Ba Yang is an example, except he used a raincoat to block the sunlight instead of a sunshade.
Old Man Le Shui took a deep breath and said kindly to his two Qi Yi disciples lying on the ground in the courtyard, "Disciples, watch carefully. This move is called 'Heaven and Earth Return Together.' It's a suicidal attack from the forbidden Qi Yi techniques. Remember, don't use it unless absolutely necessary. I am a soul, so using this technique won't affect me. Watch closely!" He then stuck another Qi Yi diagram to his chest and chanted, "Yin and Yang, Five Elements, all living things, forbidden Qi Yi techniques, Heaven and Earth Return Together!" Old Man Le Shui suddenly opened his blind eyes, and the sight was truly frightening. Seeing that Le Shui, possessed by the ascetic, had used magic, the Yin-Yang Snake crawled back to Zhou Qiang's side to protect them.
Old Man Leshui spread his arms, and a faint "Yang" character appeared on his stomach, while a "Yin" character emerged from the murky Yin Demon in the distance. As the saying goes, Yin and Yang attract each other; even though the Yin Demon was unwilling, his steps were involuntarily drawn towards Old Man Leshui. ========================================================================================= Chapter Twenty-One: Unbreakable Bond - Yi Ge's Spirit - Collected and Organized by
The phrase "Heaven and Earth Return Together" can be understood from the name of this forbidden Qi-changing technique. "Heaven and Earth" refers to you and me, and "Return Together" means mutual destruction. Throughout the long history of the Qi-changing sect, very few have been able to use this technique. Just then, when Yin Chongmo was still half a meter away from Old Man Leshui, two withered, yellow arms suddenly emerged from Old Man Leshui's abdomen and tightly gripped Yin Chongmo. The left middle finger of one of the arms bore the number '63,' which Zhou Qiang and Xie Qifeng clearly saw. Without a doubt, these were the hands of the Ascetic Master.
