Heaven is the shore of mortal dust - Chapter 3

Chapter 3

A pair of snow-white, round breasts trembled and sprang out, completely disregarding their owner's feelings, standing proudly and shamelessly, with two tender red nipples dutifully flaunting themselves, posing a deadly temptation.

The boy stared blankly, forgetting to turn his head. It felt as if flames were raging inside him. He licked his dry lips, and his heart was beating faster and faster.

When she came to her senses, she hurriedly closed her eyes, reached out, and groped to pull the collar over to cover herself.

Unexpectedly, his hand touched that elastic object, and the warm, smooth touch made him almost dizzy.

She jumped up, turned and ran, but after a few steps she came back, looked at the clueless person, and cursed with trembling lips: "You...you stinking man...woman."

I don't know how I helped that person remove the arrow, nor do I remember how I healed her wounds. Everything happened in a daze.

I thought that once the wounds were healed, I wouldn't need to worry about it anymore, and the person would wake up on their own. But now...

Looking at the tattered clothes, he sighed resignedly and picked up the unconscious person.

Is this a dream? If it is, I hope I never wake up.

For the first time in so long, since my parents passed away, I have been able to feel them so clearly.

Wei Zijun reached out, eagerly trying to grab them. She caught them, finally caught them.

"Dad, Mom, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." Wei Zijun burst into tears.

"Be a good girl." Mom smiled and patted her head, while Dad just smiled at her without saying a word.

"Don't go! Mommy, don't go! Don't go! Daddy! Daddy!"

The figure faded into the void, leaving only the words that drifted to my ears.

"Be a good boy/girl!"

"Girl! Girl! Are you awake?"

"Hmm..." Wei Zijun groaned, opening her eyes, tears still glistening in the corners.

What came into view was a pair of bright, clear eyes and an enlarged face.

The big-faced man quickly left when he saw that she had woken up.

"Master, that girl has woken up!" the departing face shouted.

A girl? Is she a girl now?

Everything happened so suddenly; she hadn't even had time to consider her gender. Looking down at the blanket covering her chest, the rough white shirt peeking out from her shoulders meant she was no longer wearing armor. So? It was a dream? He called her "girl"! That means she was still herself!

To prove it further, he frantically reached under the covers and touched his abdomen. When his hand touched the tightly wrapped wound and felt a slight sting, his heart turned cold again.

But the soldiers on the battlefield are all men, so is she some kind of all-female army?

Her hand continued to move upwards, touching a soft spot on her chest. Her heart, which had been pounding wildly, finally calmed down.

I wonder if I could accept being a man? Maybe I'd marry eight or ten wives!

"Haha, the young lady is awake." An old man lifted the curtain and entered.

With white hair and a beard, and a voice as loud as a bell, he looked to be in his sixties or seventies, yet his deep red face was without a single wrinkle, making him seem like a celestial being.

"I am Wei Zijun, and I thank you for saving me, sir." Wei Zijun struggled to sit up.

"Don't get up, lie down quickly. Take good care of your injury now, and you'll be able to get out of bed in less than three days. If you aggravate the wound, you'll have to stay in bed for ten days to half a month."

"Yes, thank you, sir." Not knowing how to say it in ancient Chinese, he could only keep thanking him.

Just as she was wondering whether to sit up or lie down, the face next to her supported her and placed a soft cushion behind her back.

"Haha, my disciple is indeed meticulous. It wasn't this old man who treated the young lady's injuries, but my disciple."

"Zijun thanks you for saving her, young master."

The face next to him instantly turned bright red.

"Dieyun, go get the medicine," the old man instructed.

"Yes, Master." The red-faced boy named Dieyun responded and went out.

"Master, may I ask where this place is?" Wei Zijun also called the young man "Master," which was both convenient and casual.

"This is Deer Ridge Valley, and above it is Deer Ridge Mountain! I heard from Dieyun that you fell from the mountain. It's truly a miracle that you didn't die. That cliff is dozens of feet high; falling from it would surely mean certain death! Fortunately, Dieyun caught you from below."

"I owe my life to my master. I have no way to repay him now, but I will repay him in the future when I have achieved something."

"Hahaha, that day is not far off, I can look forward to it soon."

"What do you mean by that, Master?"

"Miss Zijun has an extraordinary appearance; she must be an outstanding person."

"Not bad? Is it beautiful or ugly?"

“How can such a wonderful girl be considered vulgar? What does beauty or ugliness matter? Beauty and ugliness are both vulgar things. Your appearance and charm are beyond beauty and ugliness, so they cannot be judged by beauty or ugliness.”

Seeing Wei Zijun's increasingly confused expression, the old man smiled again but ignored her.
