Embrace the strong man's slender waist (Rebirth)
Author: Sizang
Chapter 1 Prologue
My fiancé, the leader of the alliance, came to call off the wedding two weeks before it was to take place.
I died the night he broke off the engagement, crashing into a cliff not far from his house.
At that time, I still carried the purse I hadn't given him yet, with his name, Ruan Bicheng, neatly embroidered on it, along with two butterflies.
Such a scene of a woman abandoning her husband and dying for love... is really too obvious. If I said my death was purely accidental, would you believe me?
Looking back on my life before I died, I think it can be summarized in one sentence: I lived a stifled life and died a pathetic one.
My mother was a concubine, and she only struggled for two things in her life: to give birth to a son and to overthrow the first wife.
Unfortunately, all attempts failed.
She was depressed, feeling that I was not as intelligent as her aunt's daughter and not as good-looking as her aunt's son, and she was extremely frustrated. But I still had my merits, which was that I was upright.
She is of dignified appearance, dignified martial arts skills, and dignified character. I have lived uprightly for the past nineteen years, and have never even touched a man's hand, which perfectly suits my identity as the eldest daughter of the Lu family, a martial arts clan.
The most extraordinary thing I can think of that ever happened was that Ruan Bicheng personally chose me...
Even as I die, I still can't understand why he chose me. He was so good-looking, from such a wealthy family, and a top-notch leader of the Young Alliance. Even if he didn't choose the aunt's daughter, the chances of him choosing the aunt's son would have been higher than choosing me.
But he chose me. At the time, I was shocked, horrified, and completely baffled. In the end, I could only accept the conclusion circulating among the people in the martial arts world—the leader had just lost his father and was so devastated that he made a mistake in judgment and went blind.
For the next three years, I lived in fear and trembling under the title of the Alliance Leader's fiancée. I survived assassination attempts by the Demonic Cult and ambushes by the Alliance Leader's loyal female warrior. I finally made it through his mourning period and thought I could finally get married, but the Alliance Leader suddenly and decisively broke off the engagement.
The reason was that his mother suddenly remembered that he had a younger cousin with whom he was betrothed since childhood.
A few days ago, this little cousin suffered a terrible calamity. Her entire family was wiped out by the evil cult. Her parents died, her brother was kidnapped, and she managed to escape. With no one to rely on, she had no choice but to travel thousands of miles to seek refuge with her cousin, the leader of the cult...
Such a horrific reason, such a shameless and evil cult, makes one sigh with regret.
So when my father asked for my opinion, I timidly asked, "Why weren't they silenced?"
I saw my father's twitching eyes and the surprise, astonishment, and a hint of disdain in the leader's gaze, so I quickly added, "It's truly a blessing from heaven!"
My father's face darkened completely. The leader of the alliance frowned slightly as he stared at me. I felt it was inappropriate for me to speak again, so I whispered, "I will follow Father's arrangements."
And then, that very night, I died by an astonishing coincidence.
I lay in a pool of blood, clutching my purse, feeling a sense of resentment... I hadn't even touched a man's hand, and I was dying like this? How could I accept this?! How could I!
Chapter 2 One
My resentment was so strong that it moved Heaven, and I miraculously survived.
When I came back to life, my feelings were very complicated. It was a dark and windy night, with light gauze curtains and soft curtains. I was on the bed, naked and feeling chilly.
A strange, faint fragrance wafted through the small room. My mind was twitching and I couldn't organize my thoughts. Just as I was about to move, the tip of a sword was thrust in from outside the gauze curtain, its cold light flashing menacingly at my throat.
I choked back the air I was about to exhale, instinctively holding my breath and pretending to be dead. My heart was filled with despair. Was God playing a trick on me? Or was He just playing a trick on me?
"Dead?" A dusty figure stood outside the gauze curtain, a thin profile with a pointed chin, seemingly a very handsome man. His tone was light and cheerful, "Finished so quickly?"
"My lord, please forgive me. I didn't even have time to ask before..." There was another person kneeling beside him, also a man, whose eyes were lowered and whose features were not clearly visible.
The man with the sword let out a seductive "oh," and then the sword dangled at my throat before landing on my naked chest.
My body hair stood on end for a moment, then tightened again as I squinted at my chest. I was a little startled; my chest seemed... a little different from before... subtly larger.
Could it be that I was unconscious for a long time? And grew up again? But this quiet growth is a bit too... exaggerated.
"Weren't you full of life just now?" the man said with a smile. "Didn't I say I'd leave you alive..."
"It wasn't me who did it!" the man kneeling by the bed hurriedly explained. "I only wanted to get her drunk so I could interrogate her, but she fainted after just one cup of wine."
"liquor?"
The sword tip was pulled back from my chest, and in that instant I truly felt what it meant to be a blade that cuts through a hair and draws blood. What a fine sword! A casual retraction caused me to bleed profusely.
I was in so much pain that I was sweating profusely and dared not breathe. I squinted and saw the thin figure sway to the table, pick up a wine cup, sniff it, and then chuckle, "There are really a lot of people who want her dead."
"Does Your Excellency mean... someone poisoned him?"
He Man laughed and said, "Little Su Xie is cautious in everything he does, he probably never expected that he would die from a packet of aphrodisiac powder."
Su Xie? Who is that? It sounds familiar... but I don't quite understand.
The kneeling person exclaimed in surprise, "Aphrodisiac? That's not poison..."
It's an aphrodisiac, I know that!
I heard the sound of the incense burner being overturned with a clang, and immediately a strong fragrance filled the air, making me dizzy and lightheaded.
"With the aphrodisiac powder and the salsa incense, it's no wonder she died." The man pointed at the incense burner with the tip of his sword, quite intrigued. "Not many people know this method, and even fewer can replace her incense... Who exactly is this person?"
"My lord..." the kneeling man looked up and asked, "What should we do now?"
"Sigh." The man sighed softly, "How boring." His voice was mournful at the end. Under the soft moonlight, I only saw his shadow flicker, a flash of cold light, and then blood splattered on the bed curtains in front of me.
I was so shocked that I held my breath and closed my eyes. After that, there was nothing but a dull thud and faint footsteps. I don't know how much time passed, but there was complete silence, not even the sound of breathing. Only then did I dare to slowly pull the blanket over myself and reach out to lift the curtain.
The dark figure leaning against the bed curtains suddenly fell down, and something r
