Chapter 1
"Pianpian, Pianpian...slow down!"
Lu Pianpian leaped onto the sword, and a small booklet hidden in her bosom fell to the ground due to the jolting motion.
The booklet used its telepathic ability to shout loudly in his mind's eye, "I told you to slow down, and look what happened, you dropped me on the ground again..."
The child standing on the ground quickly picked up the booklet, wiped it clean on his clothes, and handed it to the ethereal young man standing on the flying sword with both hands, saying with a look of longing, "Great Immortal, your immortal book!"
"Thank you, but I'm not some great immortal, I'm just a junior disciple." Lu Pianpian smiled as she took the booklet from the other person and put it back into her clothes.
He then bowed to the villagers who were seeing the child off and said, "The demon has been eliminated. My fellow villagers can now rest easy. I, Lu Shaoyan, bid you farewell!"
As soon as he finished speaking, the sword beneath his feet flew into the sky like a streak of light, disappearing from the villagers' sight along with his figure.
"Little Book, I'm so sorry about earlier." Lu Pianpian said while flying on her sword, using telepathy to communicate with the booklet in her arms. "This is the first time I've been away from the sect for so long. I was very worried about my master, senior sister, and junior brother."
In the past, Lu Pianpian would not stay in office for more than seven days after accepting a mission from the sect. However, this time the place where the accident happened was too far away from the sect. Counting the journey, today is the fourteenth day since he left the sect.
He was worried that the three people might cause trouble since he had been away for too long.
Xiao Shu understood his concerns. "Pianpian, you have indeed been gone for too long this time. I just calculated the time, and today... it's exactly the tenth year."
"What?" Lu Pianpian's face changed upon hearing this, and she almost fell headfirst off the sword.
Ten years ago, Lu Pianpian accidentally found a book while gathering herbs in the back mountain. She brought it back to the sect and opened it, only to find that it contained a very strange story.
His master, Qu Fuyi, is an otherworldly immortal lord in the book. He has two disciples, a male and a female. The female disciple is named Qu Surou, and the male disciple is named Huan Juntian.
These two disciples were raised by Qu Fuyi from a young age and had a deep bond with each other. Qu Fuyi taught them everything he knew and treated them as his own flesh and blood.
However, her good fortune did not last long. After traveling, Qu Surou was heartbroken by a faithless man. Her ruthless Dao heart, which she had cultivated for several years, collapsed overnight. After returning to her sect, she accidentally went into a state of demonic possession during cultivation and massacred the entire sect.
Facing his beloved disciple, Qu Fuyi was unable to kill Qu Surou. Instead, he was seriously injured by his disciple and nearly died.
Fortunately, his other disciple, Huan Juntian, arrived in time and helped Qu Fuyi escape the blood-soaked sect and find a secluded cave to recuperate.
Qu Fuyi, who was hurt by a beloved disciple, was fortunate to have another beloved disciple to heal him. Just as Qu Fuyi was moved by Huan Juntian's filial piety, the plot took a sharp turn - something even more outrageous was about to happen.
Faced with his aloof and noble master, Huan Juntian had already harbored wicked thoughts. In the past, due to his master's cultivation and status, Huan Juntian dared not reveal his true feelings.
With his sect destroyed and his master severely injured, his cultivation level now inferior to his own, and being in his cave at this moment, Huan Juntian no longer needed to hide his desires that he had concealed for many years, and launched a fierce offensive against Qu Fuyi.
Poor Qu Fuyi treated him as her own son. After learning that Huan Juntian coveted her, she was so angry that she vomited blood and refused to comply even at the cost of her life.
However, his resistance did not make Huan Juntian realize that this was his master, whom he regarded as his father. Instead, it fueled Huan Juntian's obsession, leading him to give up entirely. He decided that if he couldn't win his master's heart, he would at least win his master's body. He imprisoned Qu Fuyi in his cave, never to see the light of day again...
The rest of the story... let's not go into details, but in short, none of these three people ended up with a good fate.
Lu Pianpian was only seven years old when she finished reading the book, and it brought a tremendous shock to her young mind that almost shook her very bones.
But as shocking as he was, he wasn't so naive as to take the things in the book as factual, even though he was young at the time.
Even though his master is named Qu Fuyi and his senior sister is named Qu Surou, he is not named Huan Juntian. He respects his master as an elder and is not as bad as that kid in the book who locked up his injured master and kept him out of the light.
So he immediately put the book away and never took it out again.
A year later, their master brought a beautifully sculpted child to them and said, "Su Rou, Pian Pian, he will be your junior brother from now on."
The junior brother, like a pink dumpling sculpted from ice, with a chubby face, greeted them with a mature bow, "Hello, senior sister, hello, senior brother. My surname is Huan, and my given name is Juntian. You can call me Tiantian."
"What, what sky?" Lu Pianpian thought she had misheard.
The junior brother patiently repeated, "Huan Juntian, you can call me Tiantian."
Seven-year-old Lu Pianpian nearly died on the spot due to a fractured bone.
He quickly pulled the strange book out from under the box, wanting to confirm again whether he had remembered Huan Juntian's name wrong, but there wasn't a single word left in the book, and that night he had nightmares.
The story described in that book became a real scene. Whether it was the senior sister's massacre of the sect, the junior brother's unrequited love, or even the master's pain before death, Lu Pianpian truly experienced it all in her dream. The heart-wrenching emotions woke her up from the nightmare.
And that strange book, nestled perfectly in his arms, spoke to him in a telepathic voice: "Now you should believe me."
What you see is their eventual fate.
Lu Pianpian was taken in by Qu Fuyi when she was very young. Whether it was her master or her senior sister Qu Surou, they were the people closest to Lu Pianpian. Since it concerned their future, Lu Pianpian dared not take any chances.
As for that newly initiated junior brother, he currently appears to be just a harmless child. If possible, Lu Pianpian would not want him to follow the path of no return described in the book.
The little book said, "Only you can change their fate."
At that time, Lu Pianpian was just a child. When she encountered such a big thing, her first reaction was to take the little book and go to her master.
He told the story to his master, who was very displeased after hearing it. He summoned his senior sister and scolded her, "It's one thing for you, as the senior sister, not to learn good things, but how could you take Pianpian to read those obscene novel
