Chapter 1 Yang Feng
"Yang Feng! Stand up!"
The beautiful teacher on the podium slammed her compulsory Chinese textbook heavily on the desk, picked up the blackboard eraser, and threw it at the boy with delicate features, hitting him on the head with a thud.
Yang Feng frowned almost imperceptibly, slowly raising his head from the table and rubbing his aching head.
"Ha ha----"
When the students saw the boy's somewhat dazed expression, they laughed even louder, exchanging mocking glances.
Hearing the loud laughter of the students below, Mo Shan became even more furious. She was a graduate of Beijing Normal University and aspired to be a good teacher who loved her students, but this student simply made her lose all patience.
"Yang Feng, look at yourself! You're sleeping in class all day long. You stand at the back and listen to the lesson!"
The one who spoke was Yang Feng's Chinese teacher, who was also his homeroom teacher. She pointed her long, slender, fair fingers toward the blackboard behind her, a hint of regret and remorse flashing in her beautiful eyes.
In his first year of high school, he was always first in the grade in exams, even leaving the second-place student more than 20 points behind. He was incredibly talented. But now, for some reason, his grades have plummeted.
Yang Feng glanced at the beautiful teacher on the podium, his expression unchanged, and slowly walked to the back of the classroom, tiptoeing slightly, his back appearing somewhat hunched.
"Yang Feng, you're here again. You've already come four or five times this semester. You've become a regular customer of mine. I didn't expect you to come before the first class. Looks like you'll be standing all morning. Poor thing."
The student sitting in the last row was named Chen Xu. He had a somewhat thuggish look on his face and glanced at Yang Feng with a mocking tone.
Yang Feng glanced at him, ignored him, and instead looked out the window at the scenery.
This student usually had average grades and was considered tall and slender in the class, so he was assigned to the last table.
"Oh, so our talented Yang is ignoring me now?"
Chen raised an eyebrow, a grin spreading across his face, and leaned against the table, speaking jokingly.
Yang Feng ignored him, silently gazing out the window, a hint of sadness flashing in his eyes, and sighing inwardly.
The reason he did this was because his father passed away at the end of his first year of high school. This was a huge blow to him. After his father's death, the pillar of the family was gone, so he had to work part-time in other places to make up for the expensive tuition and living expenses. His living conditions were very difficult.
Their mother didn't live with them; she lived in Cangnan Town, Zhejiang City, making bags every day to ease the financial burden. However, her monthly salary wasn't enough for the two siblings to go to school, so Yang Feng took a job outside, earning only 1,500 yuan a month, which was still considered decent.
Seeing that Yang Feng's expression didn't change, Chen Xu didn't want to make a fool of himself, so he started listening attentively to the beautiful teacher on the podium.
"Ring ring ring————"
The morning passed with the ringing of the bell, and everyone stood up and slowly walked out of the classroom.
Just as Yang Feng was about to leave the classroom, a beautiful figure appeared, with flowing, smooth hair, wearing a white school uniform, and exuding a pure and innocent charm.
"Yang Feng, is there something wrong with your health? Are you sick? Why are you sleeping in class
