Capítulo 90

What are you doing here?

Blackjack snorted, seemingly unwelcoming to Modi's arrival.

"I've come to invite you to do something truly momentous." Modi leaned against the doorframe, curiously surveying the farm run by Black Jack.

This place looks vibrant, but for some reason, every animal raised here seems to be in poor spirits, as if you can see the completely irresponsible attitude of the owner behind this farm.

"I'm fine here." When Blackjack heard the big news, his body trembled almost reflexively.

He lowered his head, not daring to look at the other person again, as if his inner thoughts would be exposed if he looked at them even once.

"Really?" Modi glanced at Blackjack with some regret. Instead of continuing to persuade him as Blackjack had expected, he simply turned away and gave up lightly. "Alright, I respect your choice."

"Wait!" Unexpectedly, after Modi turned to leave, Black Jack suddenly called out to him.

This made Modi sneer inwardly, but his face remained calm, oh, and there was a hint of bewildered surprise:

"What's wrong? Didn't you say you weren't going? Did you suddenly change your mind?"

“You…” Blackjack was embarrassed. He didn’t even understand why he had stopped Modi. He should have let the man go. “Why didn’t you ask me why?”

"Reason?" Modi smiled, his eyes sweeping over the farm out of the corner of his eye. "You must really enjoy this carefree, peaceful life of being with the fields every day."

These perfectly normal words, when spoken by Modi, made Blackjack very uncomfortable. He felt that Modi was implying something about him, or being sarcastic.

“I’m just scared.” Blackjack thought for a moment, looked at Modi, and finally spoke the truth he had kept hidden in his heart.

"Afraid of death?" Modi's carefree smile vanished. He walked up to Blackjack, stared into his eyes, and solemnly asked, "Or are you afraid of the truth?"

the truth.

This word is like an invisible dagger; if you're not careful, it can take their lives.

“This is insane.” Blackjack seemed to understand Modi’s meaning, and he shuddered. “Aren’t you afraid of dying?”

"I'm afraid, but I'm even more afraid of dying in this daze." Modi said, touching his neck, which had just been stabbed quite painfully.

“You see,” Blackjack noticed his movement, “even here, you can’t speak freely. As for bigger things, we’re powerless to help.”

“I’m just a messenger,” Modi said, bowing. “If you’re willing to participate, you can come find me anytime.”

Before he left, a note "accidentally" fell off his person.

Blackjack saw it, of course, but he didn't bend down to pick it up immediately. Instead, he waited several hours before pretending to notice it by chance.

The address left above belongs to Lu Shi's bakery.

"It was him." The image of the young and handsome bakery owner immediately flashed into Blackjack's mind.

He looked like a law-abiding citizen, but Blackjack never expected that he would be the instigator of this incident.

...

Lu Shi and Ye Bugui's wedding arrived as scheduled, and almost all of their friends came.

Azi stood in the crowd, her eyes red and swollen, looking like a mother who couldn't bear to marry off her daughter.

At this moment, her boyfriend glanced at Ah Zi's appearance and couldn't help but say:

"He and his partner are both good people, so you don't need to worry. Besides, in our Dream Come True Group, it's impossible for anyone to betray their loved one."

“That’s true.” Azi immediately smiled: “This place is so nice, I never want to leave the company.”

“A normal person would think that way.” The boyfriend smiled. “The outside world is a wilderness overrun by monsters. Going out would be a dead end. I don’t think anyone with a sound mind would go out.”

Not far away, Modi and Black Jack were sitting together. They happened to overhear Azi and her boyfriend's conversation.

"Do you think what she said makes sense?" Modi suddenly asked.

Blackjack, who was lost in thought, let out a soft "Huh?" before answering the question:

"There's some truth to that. Sometimes I wish I could live like that."

“Yes,” Modi smiled. “Everyone has their own way of living. It seems neither of us are that kind of person.”

After the wedding, Ye Bugui and Lu Shi got together, but their expressions didn't resemble those of a couple deeply in love who had just ended their marriage.

"Have they arrived?" Lu Shi asked in a low voice, though he was actually a little scared.

"Yes, we've arrived." Ye Bugui whispered in Lu Shi's ear, then picked Lu Shi up in his arms in front of everyone and carried him home.

To the guests, it seemed like the two of them couldn't wait to begin their married life.

However, only they themselves knew that what they were about to do was actually a very dangerous thing.

And it was at the risk of being torn to pieces by the chairman.

After seeing Ye Bugui carry Lu Shi away, Modi immediately stood up and said softly, "Let's go."

Blackjack then placed his hand on his chest and began to pray.

However, Modi found his behavior ridiculous, because there was only one god in the Dream Come True Group: the chairman.

And for them to pray to the chairman now is practically no different from suicide.

The bakery was immediately filled with four people, who looked at each other, their emotions shifting between excitement and fear.

“Are we really not being watched now?” Blackjack asked anxiously.

"Yes, I've tested it." Ye Bugui said, "With so many people in our group, even if the chairman is incredibly powerful, he can't possibly monitor everyone all the time."

"What it really wants to see are those dangerous people. People like us who have just gotten married are considered stable people in the chairman's eyes."

"I have a feeling I've heard that before," Modi scoffed. "So, single people like me must be considered dangerous?"

“Logically, yes,” Ye Bugui said, “but if you follow us now, you’ll probably be overlooked. So we need to be quick; we don’t have much time.”

Blackjack bit his lip: "So what should I do?"

“We’re going to your farm now,” Lu Shi said, and after seeing Black Jack’s confused expression, he explained, “We believe there’s a passageway on your farm that leads to the outside.”

"Wilderness?" Blackjack gasped after hearing them say the plan aloud. "Okay, that's really insane. I don't even think the chairman would stop us if he heard our plan, because we're committing suicide!"

"So, do you want to participate?" Ye Bugui asked again, as he didn't need a burden.

“Of course.” Blackjack looked relieved, stretched, and continued, “At my age, it seems difficult to do anything crazier than this.”

Just then, a strange sound suddenly reached the ears of the four of them:

"Main quest updated."

"Escape from the Dream Come True Group".

"Players, please be careful not to attract the chairman's attention."

The four of them exchanged a strange look, then they all simultaneously covered their heads as all the memories suddenly came flooding back.

When Lu Shi regained his memories, the first thing he wanted to do was die.

Especially after he discovered that he and Ye Bugui were wearing the exact same wedding suits.

He didn't even dare to turn around and look at Ye Bugui's expression.

He just has amnesia, that's why he did such a stupid thing!

Otherwise, he wouldn't have married Ye Bugui!

Modi, on the other hand, took a step back, very warily distancing himself from the other three people.

As the leader of a major guild, his intelligence network is quite sophisticated.

He knew these three players inside and out.

Leaving aside Lu Shi and Ye Bugui, they are now the two most eye-catching newcomers.

This blackjack was no pushover either.

His guild is called [Falcon].

Just like these birds of prey, the members of this guild are not to be trifled with; they are a group of highly aggressive and dangerous individuals.

Rumor has it that the members of this guild are all criminals in real life.

Blackjack is also a key member of the team in Falcon, and is also a player in the top 100 of the leaderboard.

"Gentlemen, let's continue according to the previous arrangements." Modi smiled, his words suddenly carrying the composure of a superior: "Here, we remain friends who have gone through thick and thin together."

He glanced at Ye Bugui, only to find that the man's eyes were unfocused, as if he were lost in thought.

Indeed, Ye Bugui, like Lu Shi, was worried about the impact of his actions on Lu Shi.

This wasn't the first time Ye Bugui had completely lost his memory in a dungeon. But he never imagined he would actually marry Lu Shi!

This development is absolutely outrageous!

How can he still be on friendly terms with Lu Shi after this?

By the way, Lu Shi is the Demon Lord! Doesn't that mean he's become the Demon Lord's wife?

"let's go."

Lu Shi abandoned his smile as a baker, his cold eyes looking down on everyone as he walked to the front of the crowd.

Now he has become that unapproachable demon lord again.

Blackjack chuckled, revealing a black false tooth: "There are still five players in this instance, right? Should we go and wake them up?"

“Don’t meddle,” Modi immediately stopped him. “We’ll attract the chairman’s attention if we do this. The fact that they don’t want to wake up only means they like life here.”

The four men, each with their own ulterior motives, headed to Blackjack's farm.

On the top floor of the group's building, a black heart filled the room, pounding wildly.

Its vines grew from the top floor and climbed down to cover every corner of the complex.

☪ Dream Come True Group 12

"Why a farm?"

Blackjack hated the Riddler, and he finally couldn't help but ask the question that had been bothering him for so long.

“Because…” Lu Shi glanced back at Ye Bugui, and only after Ye Bugui responded with his eyes did he continue, “We once found a secret passage beneath the wine cellar. So I guess that perhaps there is a passage out here underground.”
