Capítulo 123

Superpower: Bloodthirsty Evolution...

Bloodthirsty Evolution!! It's Bloodthirsty Evolution?!

"You mean, if you let the owl drink the blood of a superhuman, it can evolve?" Chen Xiao frowned.

Monica snorted, her eyes fixed on the restless "owls" around her, her voice full of disdain: "Them? Wasting precious blood of superhumans on these low-level bio-beasts? I'm not that stupid!"

Her voice began to tremble with excitement!

“Owl Bear! It’s an owl bear!” Monica couldn’t help but lick her lips lightly. “You probably don’t know what an owl bear is, right? But don’t worry, you’ll find out soon enough! When an owl bear’s teeth pierce your body and suck your blood, you’ll completely understand this amazing animal!”

Although Chen Xiao's expression remained calm, he was carefully observing Monica.

He tried to probe Monica with his detector... but Chen Xiao's detector did not react at all when facing Monica!

It's obvious... Monica must have some kind of detector on her, and it probably even has detection shielding capabilities. It seems... the counterfeit equipment they have is far more advanced than mine.

At that moment, Monica let out a soft whistle...

A moment later, a roar suddenly came from deep within the woods!

"roar

The sound came from afar, and immediately the owls that had been baring their teeth and lying around all around, upon hearing the sound, all of them lowered their heads and lay down, trembling all over, as if filled with fear!

From within the woods came several cracking sounds, as if trees were breaking! As one tree after another snapped in the distance, a dark shadow slowly, step by step, crawled out from the depths of the forest!

Chen Xiao turned his head to look into the depths of the woods, and at the same time, a sharp "beep beep beep beep" sound came from the detector in his ear!

Chen Xiao knew that this was a warning sound from the detector!

Each detector is backed up with the holder's data at the initial setup. When encountering an enemy, the detector automatically analyzes the enemy's data and compares it to the holder's own. If the enemy's ability level is far superior to the holder's, the system will determine it as extremely dangerous!

At this moment, the detector's frantic beeping was a warning to Chen Xiao... that the guy in the woods was much stronger than him! Much stronger!!

"Owl Bear. Advanced bio-beast!"

Ability Level: A-Rank! Special Ability: Advanced Bloodthirsty Evolution!!

System assessment: Hostile!! Extremely dangerous!

Repeat, extremely dangerous!!

Chapter 85 [Devouring]

Beside the woods, owls lay restlessly on the ground, as if sensing the presence of a powerful creature. These low-level bio-beasts frantically scratched at the ground with their claws, and some, in extreme fear, even buried their heads deep in the soil, just like ostriches.

Finally, the powerful creature from the forest revealed itself!

In terms of size, it looks like an enlarged version of an owl, but there are some differences, because it walks upright on its hind legs! Compared to lower-level owls, this creature's hind legs are thicker and more powerful!

Moreover, its entire body wasn't covered in soft, long feathers, but rather in snow-white down. It had no wings… its wings seemed to have atrophied, no, or rather, evolved! Ordinary owls have claw-like forelimbs at the ends of their wings, but this creature's wings were barely recognizable; its thick forelimbs resembled human arms… or perhaps more like some kind of mammal…

Bear?!

On the inside of its two arms, there were still some thin membranes that looked like they were left after the evolution of its wings. The membranes were brown... This was the only dark spot on its entire body.

When it stands upright, it is nearly two meters tall. In terms of physique, it is more like a bear, robust and full of power—this can be seen from the muscles bulging under its fur.

Its head is still triangular, but the shape is less pronounced and the edges are slightly rounded—perhaps a sign of more advanced evolution.

Most importantly... this monster has two sharp bone spurs protruding from its elbows! Those bone spurs are nearly a meter long, thin and sharp! It's as if two natural bone knives are extending from its elbows!

So this is what an owl-bear looks like?!

It strode out of the woods, its eyes gleaming with ferocity, and fiercely surveyed its surroundings. When it saw its inferior kind trembling on the ground, the owl-bear roared as if in a show of defiance! As it roared, its upper limbs pounded its chest with all its might, and the resonance of its chest walls made the roar even louder.

It approached step by step, and the owls on either side seemed extremely fearful, trembling and lowering their heads, not daring to even look at it—like humble servants welcoming their king. Then, they retreated little by little, making way for it.

But the owl bear seemed unsatisfied; in addition to its ferocity, a hint of greed even shone in its eyes!

This was genuine greed! Chen Xiao was initially puzzled, but quickly, he confirmed that he hadn't misread it! It was indeed greed… those eyes actually revealed an emotion that only highly intelligent beings could possess!

Finally, the owl-bear strode up to an owl, whose head was pounding on the ground, howling in agony. The owl-bear suddenly straightened its massive body, then raised a giant paw and slammed it down hard on the owl's head!

With a loud crack, the poor owl's head was smashed open like a rotten watermelon! Brain matter and flesh splattered, and it died instantly! The owl-bear roared, pounced, and bit down hard with its massive jaws!

It devoured the owl frantically, first biting off half of its head in one bite, the bones and flesh making a chilling "crunching" sound in its mouth!

It seemed to revel in the flesh and blood. Almost greedily, it pressed its mouth against the wound on the owl's corpse, its bright red tongue darting out to lick the flowing blood!

The other owls seemed stunned, yet even so, they showed no intention of resisting. They merely tried to move their bodies away as little as possible, as if afraid to get close to this enormous creature, but they still trembled. They simply buried their heads even deeper into the ground!

Chen Xiao and the others were stunned. The scene nearly made Bai Cai faint. Even Xiao Qing, being a girl, paled at the sight of such a bloody scene.

Chen Xiao kept his eyes fixed on the owl bear, because the detector's alarm had been flashing red ever since it left the woods!

"Warning! Extreme danger! Entering an extremely dangerous area!"

Chen Xiao had already narrowed his eyes, and then he suddenly did something unexpected: he raised his hand and gently pressed on the headset to turn off the detector!

"What's wrong? Can't stand it anymore?" Monica crossed her arms and gave a soft, cold laugh. This posture, however, caused her already enormous breasts, which seemed about to burst out of her clothes, to struggle protruding from beneath her arms…

"Why don't they resist?" Chen Xiao seemed to chuckle softly.

“Rebel?” Monica’s tone was somewhat profound: “This is a fate determined by great genes! These poor creatures dare not rebel.”

Chen Xiao stared intently at the owl-bear that was feeding—it seemed only interested in the blood, not much in gnawing on the flesh of the owl carcass. Chen Xiao realized that it was deliberately using its sharp fangs to pierce the carcass, allowing as much blood as possible to flow from the wound.
