Lin Zhi was startled and suddenly realized that this person had gone mad.
By posting it online, she was essentially informing the public that Jiang Lai was a lesbian. While homosexuality is not illegal, she caused a negative impact. Even if it wasn't Jiang Lai's own fault, she was still a party involved. She won't be able to find any good jobs in mainland China in the short term, and her company may eventually have to sideline her.
Lin Xi disregarded Yu Yang's reaction, whether he would be angry, and the fact that it was her own mistake. She ignored public opinion and insisted on going to hell with Jiang Lai.
Lin Zhi's eyes turned cold; she would never allow such a situation to occur.

Chapter 75
Jiang Lai has been very busy for the past four months. She not only has to film dramas but also rush to record programs. So filming all day is a good thing for her, at least she can get a good night's sleep after the filming ends. If she is recording a program, she often only gets three or four hours of sleep before going to the set to get her makeup done.
On the plane, because she hadn't seen Lin Zhi for so long, she greedily talked for a while longer. So as soon as she got in the car and the music started, she fell asleep without realizing it. When Lin Zhi woke her up, she was still dazed.
Jiang Lai rubbed her sleepy eyes and yawned: "Are we home?"
"yes."
Jiang Lai was still half asleep. After getting out of the car, she stood for a long time before going to the trunk to get her luggage.
Lin Zhi smiled and waved her hand, telling her to stand aside while she went to move her luggage. She strained so hard that she could barely move one suitcase.
Lin Zhi gasped for breath: "What did you stuff in there?!"
Jiang Lai shrugged, walked over and took the second box, then easily dragged the two boxes ahead: "Clothes, cosmetics, skincare products, and the like."
Lin Zhi complained, "Didn't they assign you a makeup artist?"
"Yes, I did receive it, but I always do my own makeup when I go out. It's more comfortable to do it myself."
"You really do have the life of a princess but not the princess syndrome."
Jiang Lai chuckled: "Thank you for the compliment, sister."
Lin Zhi rolled her eyes at her: "Whatever makes you happy."
The elevator stopped on the tenth floor. It was a one-apartment-per-floor layout. Lin Zhi chose this place because of Jiang Lai's status as an artist. It wasn't far from the company or the airport.
Lin Zhi entered the password to open the door, and Jiang Lai glanced at it; it was her birthday.
This was Jiang Lai's first time here. Lin Zhi had moved all of Jiang Lai's belongings from her apartment over, so it was now an empty place.
There was a master bedroom and a secondary bedroom. Even so, Jiang Lai's clothes and everything else were placed in the master bedroom, together with Lin Zhi's.
Jiang Lai was very satisfied with the new house. The first thing she did upon entering the room was not to tour it, but to open her suitcase and pack her things.
Lin Zhi then saw what was in her suitcase. Just as she had said, it was mostly clothes, some of which hadn't appeared in the airport photos.
Seeing her scattered belongings, Lin Zhi suddenly remembered something, opened the cabinet door, and took out two identical bags.
"Jiang Lai, guess which one I bought for you?"
Jiang Lai looked up, her expression freezing instantly. Two identical bags were placed in front of her, and she really couldn't tell which one Jiang Wanqiu had bought and which one Lin Zhi had bought.
She had no recollection of this incident when she asked Lin Zhi to go to her apartment to pack her things.
Jiang Lai lowered her head guiltily, pretending to pack her things, but actually she just took out the folded clothes and folded them again.
"Jiang Lai," Lin Zhi called out to her seriously.
"I was wrong, sob sob. I didn't say anything because I was afraid it would embarrass you."
Kids are easily frightened; a little bit of sternness and they'll spill everything.
"Aren't you afraid of embarrassing me now? You might as well have told me earlier, then I wouldn't have bought it."
Lin Zhi thought about how she had to scrimp and save to buy luxury goods for Jiang Lai during her most difficult time, and she felt ridiculous. Jiang Lai was a rich girl, and this bag might only be her monthly allowance.
Jiang Lai seemed to hear Lin Zhi's thoughts and comforted her, "Actually, my parents didn't give me much living expenses in the past, but they made sure I had enough to eat and wear. And I didn't spend their money. This bag was bought for me by my aunt when I graduated. It's a pity it was too expensive, so I never dared to carry it. But now it's okay, I don't have to pretend anymore. I'll carry yours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and my aunt's on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I won't carry the bag on Sundays, how about that?"
Lin Zhi snorted and put the two bags back in the closet: "Come on, you can't carry these bags anymore, I'll buy you something else."
Just like its name suggests, things are getting better and better. Lin Zhi's bank account balance is gradually increasing, and buying a bag every month is no big deal.
Jiang Lai continued packing her luggage in the bedroom, separating the dirty clothes from the clean ones, and placing her beloved Pupu doll on the bedside table. She looked at the bedroom with satisfaction and put the clean clothes into the wardrobe one by one.
Jiang Lai accidentally dropped a pair of pants and picked them up, pondering for a long time.
I think she bought these pants after the college entrance exam. I don't know where she put them later. I searched for a long time but couldn't find them, and I was quite heartbroken. I didn't expect Lin Zhi to find them.
She took off her shorts, put on these pants, and walked out of the bedroom. Seeing Lin Zhi busy in the kitchen, she went over and asked, "Sister, where did you find these pants?"
Lin Zhi turned around and thought for a long time after seeing the pants on Jiang Lai's legs: "I think they were under your bed, but I don't remember. They were quite nice, but it's a pity they're out of style."
Those in the entertainment industry are required to keep up with trends. These pants would have been great a few years ago, but unfortunately they're not fashionable this year.
"Outdated?" Jiang Lai ran to the full-length mirror and looked at herself. "I don't think it's outdated. When I wear it out someday, I'll definitely make it a new trend."
Lin Zhi said helplessly, "How trendy can a pair of ordinary black sweatpants be?"
Jiang Lai retorted, "That depends on who's wearing it, doesn't it? With a model's figure like mine, wherever I go becomes a fashion show."
Lin Zhi was amused by her shamelessness and retorted, "Model figure? Then you're still a bit short. International fashion requires models to be 178cm tall."
"Pshaw, some people even said I could be a model!"
"Who's so blind?"
Jiang Lai choked, not knowing why she had blurted out that someone thought she could be a model, but she did remember someone saying that, though she selectively forgot.
"I don't remember, maybe it was a talent scout."
Lin Zhi: "Oh..."
That night, the two of them, smelling sweet after a bath, lay on the soft bed. Jiang Lai, however, was restless and fidgeted like a little puppy.
Perhaps feeling that the foreplay had been too long and she hadn't yet experienced the feeling she remembered, Lin Zhi looked up at Jiang Lai and was so angry that she couldn't speak after seeing who it was.
She kicked him, knocking him off the bed.
Jiang Lai woke up with a start, feeling like her tailbone was about to break: "Why did you kick me!"
Lin Zhi glared at her: "You're asleep!"
"Huh? I fell asleep?"
Jiang Lai had no recollection of falling asleep; her memory was still stuck between Lin Zhi's legs.
Jiang Lai climbed back into bed and said ingratiatingly, "Sister, I was wrong. Shall we continue?"
"Get out! Go to sleep!"
Are you angry?
"I'm not angry."
You're angry!
"I'm not angry. You should go to sleep. You have an event tomorrow." Lin Zhi turned her back to her, pulled up her pants, and frowned as if she were sulking.
There was no sound behind her. Lin Zhi turned around and found the person asleep on the bed.
Lin Zhi chuckled, covered her with the blanket, and gently stroked her like she was coaxing a child: "Go to sleep, you've had a hard time these past few months."
Jiang Lai hummed in response, half-asleep.
Jiang Lai kept her word. She caught up with Qi Chuan's achievements in just one year. She was younger than Qi Chuan and entered the industry later than him, but her future was definitely brighter.
After the person next to her calmed down, Lin Zhi withdrew her hand, but couldn't fall asleep with her eyes open. Her brain was like a computer, operating at high speed.
She was thinking about Lin Xi.
This person cannot be allowed to live; she is a ticking time bomb. As long as she remains active in society, she could drag Jiang Lai down with her at any moment.
Her love bordered on the perverse, treating Jiang Lai as an object or... a pet. Even though she was married, she still couldn't let go of Jiang Lai. She had always loved Jiang Lai, but she needed fame and fortune, and she had desires, all of which Yu Yang could give her. After weighing the pros and cons, she chose to temporarily put Jiang Lai aside, believing that after marrying Yu Yang, Jiang Lai should still be by her side, at her beck and call.
Perhaps in Lin Xi's eyes, she and Jiang Lai had never broken up.
How can we make her no longer a threat to Jiang Lai? This is a difficult problem. We can't just lock her up in prison.
What a joke, she didn't break the law.
Is there anywhere in this world where people can be locked up without breaking the law?
Lin Zhi suddenly had a flash of inspiration. She thought of a solution, but... she turned to look at Jiang Lai, a hint of melancholy in her eyes.
Yu Family —
Yu Yang sat on the sofa in his pajamas, his expression serious, his eyebrows sharp and cold, the low atmosphere around him making the maid beside him shiver.
Lin Xi sensed something was wrong as soon as she entered the door, and put on her standard wifely smile: "Don't you have any social engagements today?"
Yu Yang loosened his tie and waved. Lin Xi's smile froze upon seeing this, and she reluctantly walked over: "Yu..."
"Smack!"
A loud slap startled everyone present, causing them to back away.
Lin Xi covered her slapped face, tears welling in her eyes, and knelt down before Yu Yang: "What did I do wrong?"
Yu Yang squatted down, pinched her face, and said without a trace of pity, "Didn't I tell you that you must take someone with you when you go out? Who allowed you to go out alone!"
"I...I was wrong."
Yu Yang grabbed her, threw her forcefully onto the sofa, pressed himself against her, and unbuckled his belt.
The maids stood by, not daring to move. The master had this habit of needing someone to watch him while he was doing this. They didn't understand, but they could only do as he said, not daring to back down an inch, until the master had vented his anger. Only then did they clean up the scene and take the lady to take a bath.
Lin Xi watched Yu Yang's retreating figure with a happy smile on her face.
This life is so wonderful, all that's missing is Jiang Lai...
Lin Xi muttered, "Lai Lai, my Lai Lai, you must come back to me. I... I love you so much. I can give you anything you want. Lin Zhi is my substitute, right? You'll come back when you're done playing... It's okay, pets always need to go out and play."
The maid serving Lin Xi frowned. After the lady and her husband slept together, the lady would always talk to herself and laugh at something. She suspected that the lady had mental problems.
