"..." Chen Canyu's voice suddenly lowered, as if he were whispering to Liu Fang.

"How did you know?" Liu Fang asked in surprise, her voice suddenly rising.

"Shh! Don't panic. Do you want everyone to know about your past?" Chen Canyu laughed smugly.

"......"

"So? When are we going to set a wedding date? Actually, this is great! The female lead and the director fell in love during filming and got married quickly. It might bring a lot of box office success to the film!" Chen Canyu's smug voice came from the second floor.

"No!" After a long while, Liu Fang's resolute voice rang out.

"Oh! Very well then, I will announce to the world that the renowned opera master, Mr. Liu Fang, had a child when he was a minor, and that child is now being adopted by a couple..."

"Shut up!" Liu Fang shouted angrily.

"I'm giving you a week. If you still can't make a decision, then next week your daughter's school will be plastered with stories about her biological mother! Her biological mother, for her own fame and fortune, didn't hesitate to abandon her own daughter, and this daughter doesn't even have a father, because even her mother doesn't know who her father is, hahaha..."

"You!" Liu Fang's voice trembled.

Chen Canyu's voice was nauseating: "Not bad, this story could be made into a movie! The master was raped in her early years, abandoned her child after giving birth, and after many years of struggle, finally became a famous opera singer... Hmm, that's really interesting. Looks like I have a draft for my next script, haha..."

After hearing the above conversation, I was almost too shocked to breathe. Was what Chen Canyu said true? Did Liu Fang really give birth to an illegitimate child after being raped?

After what seemed like an eternity, Liu Fang's hoarse voice rang out softly, "Give me a few days to think about it..."

"Remember, one week! Just one week! So tonight, you're not going back..." Chen Canyu's cheerful voice rang out.

Liu Fang seemed to be dragged into the room by Chen Canyu, followed by the sound of the door being bolted.

My body felt weak, and like a blind person, I groped my way back to my room, pulled the covers over my head, and kept crying. I couldn't fall asleep all night.

"Is that so? I think it's no longer appropriate for you to keep Uncle Liufang's inheritance all to yourself!" I laughed coldly.

Chen Canyu's face turned ashen: "What do you mean?"

"I want half!" That was all I could say.

"Hahaha...you must be dreaming!" Chen Canyu stared at me for a long time before bursting into laughter.

"Fine! Then I can go to your film studio and tell them that you used your power to choose roles to deceive my body, and that I'm not even twenty years old yet!" I said coldly.

"Do you think anyone would believe you, you little brat? I can also say that you're seducing me just to get the lead role!" Chen Canyu wasn't afraid of my threat at all. I was stunned and speechless.

"Hahaha... Little girl, you can't even walk properly, yet you want to try and rob people on the street! I'm giving you a chance now. If you stay silent, I'll let you keep this role. But... when I'm lonely, you still have to come and keep me company... Hahaha..." This bastard laughed and left, leaving me, the fool, crying on the spot.

However, I am not one to be forgotten, and I have come up with a way to retaliate.

A few days later, it seemed that Liu Fang still hadn't agreed to Chen Canyu's request. This was evident from Chen Canyu's frequent outbursts of anger during filming; he hadn't yet achieved his goal.

So, at that moment, I cowardly approached Chen Canyu, pleading and begging him to give me that chance, promising to agree to his conditions.

Chen Canyu didn't think much of it, assuming I was just an ignorant and silly girl, so he lowered his guard against me. Of course, he didn't let go of this opportunity to torment me.

But what he didn't expect was that I had placed a borrowed camera there and used the automatic device to take pictures of the two of us together!

Two days later, when he saw the stack of crystal-clear photos I had just developed, his face turned ashen, alternating between red and white, and cold sweat streamed down his forehead.

"Don't be nervous! I'll only sell you half of the inheritance for the negatives of these photos, it's not that bad!" I smiled and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

"You bitch! Don't touch me!" He shoved me away like an angry leopard, his eyes bloodshot.

I laughed and said, "You can think about it yourself! But time waits for no one! I'm looking forward to drinking your wedding wine! Hehehe!" With that, I walked out of the room.

As she said this, Lin Qian's eyes were filled with smugness and a desire for revenge.

Ningxia felt as if she had swallowed a live fly, feeling nauseous and wanting to vomit.

Lin Qian continued, "I just wanted to get revenge on him and let him experience what it's like to be blackmailed. But I didn't expect my little plan to disrupt his plans. Chen Canyu probably wanted to get the film back from me as soon as possible, and he kept blackmailing Liu Fang. So, during one day of filming, Liu Fang was driven to distraction by Chen Canyu's insatiable greed, and an accident happened!"

Ningxia was shocked; Liu Fang's death was actually due to this reason!

"That night, the crew was filming the scene where the female lead was about to commit suicide but was stopped. In the script, the female lead had been tortured to the point of mental breakdown and wanted to kill herself by hitting her head against the wall, but she was pulled back by a servant. She only hit her forehead on the mirror in front of the dressing table, shattering the mirror, but saving her life. Originally, I, who was playing a servant, and another male actor were supposed to stop Liu Fang from hitting the wall, but Liu Fang, in her frenzied state, struggled and slammed her head against the table. As a result, we couldn't stop her, and her forehead was smashed into a big hole by the corner of the table, and blood splattered all over the floor, staining my and the other male actor's clothes red, and also staining the bronze mirror on the table."

Lin Qian shook her head: "I've never seen so much blood gushing from someone's head before. I was so scared I was stunned for a long time. When I came to my senses, Liu Fang, who was lying on the ground, had already died amidst everyone's terrified screams! The entire floor of the room was covered in bright red blood; it was like a sea of blood from hell."

Ningxia couldn't help but choke up.

Lin Qian glanced at her and continued, "Chen Canyu pretended to be extremely grief-stricken, even bursting into tears. I knew he was heartbroken over the large sum of money he was about to receive but hadn't yet. Later, after the police investigation concluded it was an accident, Chen Canyu resumed filming, of course, I became the female lead. But at this time, the entire crew was in a state of panic because they had all begun to hear the terrifying rumors circulating in town about the 'Qilin Pavilion' from the past. They all felt that Liu Fang's death was too suspicious and bizarre, and that the innocent spirits of those who died in that mansion were surely seeking revenge. The gates of hell were opened by Liu Fang's blood!"

Ningxia was stunned!

The Gates of Hell!

Lin Qian glanced at her coldly and said quietly, "In the entire crew, only Chen Canyu and I knew the real reason for Liu Fang's death. She didn't die in an accident, nor was she killed by a vengeful spirit. She committed suicide when she was extremely depressed due to Chen Canyu's harassment and blackmail. We all thought the rumors were just rumors and would disappear with time. However, what happened next made us all believe that Liu Fang's death was just the beginning. The spirits from hell have begun to reach out their dark hands to our crew!"

"What happened...?" Ningxia suddenly felt a chill run through her body.

"Because, during later filming, more people died without cause!"

"What?"

"That male actor who played a servant with me, after failing to stop the grief-stricken Liu Fang that day, which led to her accidental death, became depressed and always blamed himself for her death. Finally, one evening, he climbed alone to the highest beam of the 'Qilin Pavilion' and jumped off. The entire courtyard was stained with his blood like a red carpet!"

Seeing the immense fear in Ningxia's eyes, Lin Qian coldly said, "Everyone in the crew is terrified. Two actors have died inexplicably in the past two weeks. Could there really be spirits in this 'Qilin Pavilion'?" Panic gripped the crew. The town's police and mayor tried to persuade them to choose another filming location, but the stubborn Chen Canyu wouldn't listen to anyone and insisted on finishing the film. The rest of the crew had no choice but to continue working cautiously and tremblingly, trying their best to prevent a recurrence of the tragedy.

But what was destined to happen still happened: the second lead actress, who played the princess, went mad overnight! She told us incoherently that that night, she saw Liu Fang, covered in blood, come to claim her life, and that Liu Fang had even crawled out of the blood-stained bronze mirror. She would repeatedly cry out, "Liu Fang is here! Liu Fang is here!" Her eyes would wander to every corner of the room, as if Liu Fang's spirit were truly all around her.

Upon hearing this, my legs went weak and I couldn't walk anymore, so I stopped filming that very day.

But Chen Canyu seemed to be deliberately going against everyone, immediately replacing the actor and restarting filming. His crazy move immediately met with opposition from the angry and fearful crew members, and everyone began packing their bags, preparing to leave this gloomy and terrifying place.

"Anyone who dares to leave? I'll kill them!" Chen Canyu suddenly appeared in front of everyone, holding a huge steel knife. His eyes were bloodshot, and his expression was furious and crazed, as if he really wanted to take someone down with him.

Everyone was terrified by his madman-like state. Although they were unsure whether Chen Canyu would kill someone, no one wanted to take the risk. They hurriedly put down their luggage and resumed filming.

Once seated in front of the camera, Chen Canyu seemed to return to normal, and he began directing everyone to get to work quickly.

As for me, I was fed up with everything in the crew, and I especially hated Chen Canyu's unreasonable attitude. Because I still had a great fear of Liu Fang's death, and the terrifying rumors about this house were so similar to our filming script, I made a decision! "At this point, a sinister smile appeared on Lin Qian's face.

"During the previous month or so of filming, I accidentally discovered a basement in 'Qilin Pavilion,' a basement that no one else in the entire crew had ever seen except me. So, after becoming weary and terrified of everything, I made a decision! A decision that could liberate myself and everyone else! That is, to kill Chen Canyu!"

Ningxia shuddered.

Lin Qian smiled smugly: "So, I chose a sweltering night and secretly invited Chen Canyu out. I led Chen Canyu around aimlessly until he was dizzy and disoriented. After I made sure no one had noticed us, I took him to the basement hidden behind the shrine."

Chen Canyu suddenly became impatient and stopped in her tracks: "What are you doing? Where are you taking me? I want to go back and rest!"

I gave him a deliberately gentle smile: "Alright! We're almost there. I have something to show you!"

"What is that?"

"Do you know what's down there?" I asked, pointing to the shrine.

"What? An antique?" Chen Canyu's attention was drawn to the shrine, but unexpectedly I pushed her hard, and she fell into the basement.

"You bastard! Why did you push me?" Chen Canyu cursed as she stumbled and fell down into the basement.

While he was still unconscious, I immediately grabbed a piece of wood that I had prepared beforehand and hit him on the head. He didn't make a sound and just collapsed softly.

I tied the unconscious Chen Canyu to a pillar in the basement room, lit a candle, and waited for her to wake up.

Chen Canyu took a long time to wake up. As soon as he opened his eyes and found himself tied up, he immediately started cursing. I just smiled and waited for him to shut up.

Sure enough, five minutes later he stopped. He knew it was futile, and could only glare at me resentfully, saying, "What exactly do you want?"

I toyed with a sharp steel knife in my hand, smiling as I looked at him. I stole that knife from the props department; it was a Tibetan knife that Old Wang, who managed the props, bought from Tibet—definitely not a fake.

Chen Canyu looked at my expression, his face turning pale with fright. Cold sweat broke out again on his almost bald forehead. He stammered, trying to gauge my tone: "Are you... joking with me?"

I didn't answer him. I reached out and the sharp Tibetan knife immediately left a bright red cut on Chen Canyu's cheek.

"Ouch!" Chen Canyu immediately screamed like a pig being slaughtered.

I suddenly realized that his cries might cause unnecessary trouble in the dead of night, so I immediately used a rag on the ground to gag him.

Chen Canyu's expression became ridiculous. Her eyes were much wider than usual, and she kept shaking her head at me, mumbling incoherently as if she was trying to say something.

"You want to beg me to let you go?" I sneered.

His comically bald head immediately began to nod wildly.

"I don't want to let you go. Do you know how disgusting and repulsive you are?" I completely ignored him.

Chen Canyu nodded vigorously again, as if he also knew how bad his usual behavior was.

I suddenly placed the blade against his neck, and he immediately froze, his eyes filled with extreme terror.

I suddenly found this kind of fun and was about to continue torturing him like this when suddenly, I heard a sound! It was a woman's sigh!

Chen Canyu and I both seemed to hear the sound at the same time and immediately fell silent. I listened intently for a while, but heard nothing more. Just when I thought I had misheard, the soft sigh suddenly rang out again.

I jumped up suddenly, my heart pounding. The basement was already a bit chilly, and even though it was summer, I could still feel the bone-chilling cold seeping into every capillary in my body!

Chen Canyu's expression seemed even more terrified than before. She made "uh-huh" sounds through her covered mouth and struggled desperately to break free of the ropes.

Sighs echoed intermittently throughout the basement. Filled with immense fear, I carefully examined this basement, which was less than ten square meters in size. The entire room was carved directly from the stones on the ground. There were no windows, only a narrow staircase leading to the ground. The entire basement was dark and damp, probably a cellar used by the previous owner to store items.

"Sigh..." A very clear sigh suddenly rang out beside me, as if the woman who made the sound was standing right in front of me.

I screamed in terror, a fear I'd never felt before driving me almost insane. My heart felt like it was about to burst out of my chest, my blood seemed to freeze, my legs went weak, and I collapsed to the ground. I was so scared because the sound was coming from the mirror!

I don't know how I escaped from that basement. I only remember that after I got back to the surface, I nailed the entrance on the ground floor shut with several large wooden planks, and then I ran back to the dormitory almost like a madman.

After spending that night in extreme panic, I remembered that I had left Chen Canyu in the basement with that ghostly mirror.

The entire crew was searching for Chen Canyu. I was filled with anxiety, partly because I was afraid someone would find the basement, and partly because the scene that night was so bizarre and terrifying that I didn't want to think about it at all.

The crew members didn't seem to be putting much effort into finding Chen Canyu. Instead, they were unusually happy because they could finally escape this gloomy and terrifying place. As a result, no one discovered the secret of the basement.

After two days of half-hearted searching, the assistant director decided to disband the operation, and everyone fled the haunted house as if their lives depended on it. I did the same, immediately running away from Black Town and returning home.

Because of what happened that night, I was in a state of extreme panic. Less than ten days after returning home, I seemed to constantly hear that eerie sighing sound in various mirrors, as if that sound had become my shadow, relentlessly pursuing me. My family sent me to a mental hospital, but the sound still followed me, as if dragging me from this world to that boundless hell. I finally realized that I was being punished; I had left the still-living Chen Canyu alone in that basement! I escaped from the mental hospital five years later, but I decided to go back to "Qilin Pavilion" to take a look.

When Xiaowei, still a middle school student, accompanied me back to "Qilin Pavilion," it had been sealed off by the local town government. Perhaps after the incident with the film crew, the government had stopped allowing anyone to enter or leave "Qilin Pavilion." Xiaowei and I quietly climbed over the wall. Everything was the same as before—a scene of devastation and chaos. I led Xiaowei to the entrance to the basement; the large wooden planks were still in their original positions, and no one had been there.

Xiao Wei found some tools and pried open the wooden planks. From his eyes, I could tell he could hardly imagine my madness at the time. We went downstairs with flashlights. A pungent stench wafted from the basement—the smell of rotting flesh. I knew it was the smell of Chen Canyu's corpse. Xiao Wei suppressed his nausea, holding the flashlight, and stood at the entrance of the stairwell, too afraid to go in. I slowly walked alone towards the pile of bound and gagged things. Chen Canyu had become a pile of stinking bones. Because of the sealed basement, his bones hadn't completely decomposed even after five years, still emitting a suffocating odor.

The mirror on the corner table, the one that had haunted my fear for the past five years, still stood facing the entire basement, like a giant eye staring at me, seemingly mocking my terror. Suddenly, I made a decision that even Xiaowei found terrifying. I had Xiaowei find a large box, placed Chen Canyu's remains inside, and along with it, the mirror that had constantly terrified me! Ignoring Xiaowei's strong objections, I secretly transported the large box containing Chen Canyu's remains and the mirror from 'Qilin Pavilion' to our Lin family's ancestral home. Having done these bizarre things that most people couldn't understand, to atone for my guilt towards Xiaowei, I began a completely new life.

Lin Qian glanced at Ning Xia, a deep, indescribable panic flashing in her eyes:

"Yes! That mirror!"

Since I brought the mirror and Chen Canyu's remains back to the ancestral home, I haven't heard that sound again! But what happened next plunged me into even greater terror. After handing the club over to Xiaowei, I spent almost all my time in the room with the remains and the mirror. It seemed as if those two things possessed a powerful magic, locking me firmly in that room. One day, when I woke up next to Chen Canyu, I suddenly discovered something on my wrist!

Upon hearing this, Ningxia was suddenly startled and exclaimed, "A butterfly?"

"Yes! It's a butterfly!" Lin Qian glanced at Ning Xia and said coldly, "Xiao Wei told me you picked it up?"
