Capítulo 23

"Oh dear. I found it!"

“It’s the ‘King’ and his people.”

"Huh? Oh, that group?"

"Hmph, beast!" someone snorted.

"So, do you know about that woman's situation?"

"Well... I'm not sure."

“That’s a teacher,” someone said.

How did you know?

"You can tell at a glance. The way he dresses, the way he speaks, and the commanding tone."

Are you sure? Or are you just guessing?

“Of course I’m sure!” the man said. “Because I used to be a teacher, so I know.” But hearing him say that, I couldn’t see any trace of his former charisma.

"—What do you think?"

“Well…” Yuriko said, putting her hand to her lips, “So you’re… Mrs. Anton!”

"Huh? But why—"

"If Anton killed Junko Mizuguchi, and his wife found out... she might do something to protect her husband..."

Yuriko sat down in the chair. —Was it done by Anto? Or was it done by Anto Kiko, who was jealous of Mizuguchi Junko? Regardless of which one it was, there was no doubt that Anto was Mizuguchi Junko's lover.

“Big sister…” Yuriko muttered.

"What's wrong, Miss Ayako?"

"Big sister, she's become obsessed with Professor Anton."

"What did you say?"

"My older sister didn't go to work, and I don't know where she is now."

"You mean Miss Ayako? She just called."

Yuriko looked at Kunitomo in surprise, "Why?"

"She said she was going to a place to meet someone, but she got lost."

Do you know where she went?

"Yes. But more than thirty minutes have already passed."

"Maybe we still have time! Hurry!" Urged by Yuriko, Kuniyoshi rushed out of the guard's office.

"Hey, officer!" the guard shouted frantically from behind, "This gang—officer!" But Kuniyoshi and Yuriko had already disappeared into the crowd.

"—This is it." Ayako stood in front of the coffee shop, feeling like she couldn't go any further. The shop was right in front of her, but she could hardly believe her eyes. It wasn't the life-saving water in the desert, but she worried that if she went in, she might find it was a mistake, and then all that good feeling would be gone.

It's already 2:25.

Ayako entered the shop and quietly glanced around. —No one was there. Had they already gone home angrily? Ayako felt tears welling up in her eyes. —There's no one who would have such an idiot as a lover.

Just as Ayako was sobbing and about to cry, someone put a hand on her shoulder. Ayako turned around as if she were about to jump up, and there was Anton's smiling face in front of her.

"teacher!"

“You’re finally here.” Anton pulled his hand away from Ayako’s shoulder. “I went to make a phone call. Ah, have a seat. —I thought you weren’t coming.”

"I'm sorry. I thought you must be angry, so I went back..."

"What happened?"

"I have no sense of direction."

Anton laughed. "Then, let's meet somewhere you're very familiar with next time. —How about today?"

"Um."

Where are the younger sisters?

"Because I left early this morning, Yuriko is still sleeping."

"Really? So that means no one will bother us."

Ayako lowered her head, her cheeks flushed. Anton held Ayako's hand tightly. Ayako gave a somewhat stiff smile.

"Shall we go?"

"Um."

The two got up and left the store.

The shop assistant complained, "Two people only want one cup of coffee. What a cheapskate!"

Chapter Fourteen: Love in the Dark

"This is your room. Please enjoy your time." The lights came on, and the door closed.

“This place is great,” Anton said.

Slowly raising her head, Ayako looked around uneasily. Of course, Ayako had stayed in ordinary hotels before. Love hotels, however, were only seen in weekly magazines, but she hadn't expected one to be so dazzling and magnificent. Large mirrors, gold bedspreads, luxurious chandeliers…

The lights... made it feel like being under neon lights, intoxicating.

"Oh, don't you want to relax a bit? How about some beer or something?"

"No, I won't—"

"It's better to be a little tipsy. Hey, have a seat."

Ayako felt strangely uncomfortable, even while sitting on the sofa. She had just sat down shyly when there was a knock at the door; someone had brought over beer.

Anton handed Ayako a full glass of wine. "Cheers." Reluctantly, Ayako gulped down a mouthful, the bitter taste making her eyes water. She felt her face flush, her heart race, and she felt slightly dizzy. In short, Ayako was completely averse to alcohol. "—Put it here," Anton said, shifting his position on the sofa and sitting beside Ayako. He pulled her close and began to kiss her. Was it the alcohol? From the very beginning, his passion was intense, and Ayako felt herself being deeply drawn in… Today's embrace was different from usual; it wasn't just strong, but also both gentle and wild. Ayako was completely lost.

"—Don't you regret it?" Anton whispered in Ayako's ear.

"Yes..." Ayako replied. But she couldn't quite make out what she actually said. In any case, now that she was here, there was no turning back.

Anton suddenly moved away from her and said, "Go take a shower first."

"Um……"

“This way.” Anton took Ayako’s hand and opened the door. It was a very large bathroom. “It’s for two people to use together,” Anton said. “Want to shower together?”

“This…” Ayako lowered her head and remained silent.

"I understand. Well then, have a comfortable shower. Get into bed first after you come out, and then I'll come in."

Ayako nodded vigorously. Alone in the bathroom, Ayako nearly tripped and fell, quickly grabbing the wall for support. "I have to be strong..." she resolved. She was mentally prepared!

Ayako took off her clothes in front of the laundry basket, stood in the bathtub, locked the door, and hot water gushed out. She hurriedly took a few steps back, picked up the shower head, and let the hot water flow over her whole body.

The water temperature was just right. —Ayako suddenly turned her head to the side and was taken aback. A large mirror covered the entire wall, reflecting her slightly plump body. It didn't look like her at all; it looked more like she was peeping at someone else's naked body, which made Ayako feel very embarrassed.

But... is this the right thing to do? To become a part of Professor Anton, is that alright? There's no point in hesitating now. Just leave everything to the professor... Ayako closed her eyes in the shower.

Anton sat on the sofa, drinking beer and admiring Ayako's naked body. The mirror on the wall was a semi-transparent reflector. It wasn't visible when the curtains were drawn, but when they were opened, the interior of the bathroom was clearly visible. Anton smiled as he admired Ayako's naked body. Seeing that Ayako had turned off the shower and started drying herself with a towel, he got up and drew the curtains. A moment later, the bathroom door opened, and Ayako, wrapped in a towel, stepped out.

"You're so beautiful." Anton hugged Ayako and kissed her repeatedly. The towel seemed about to slip off, and Ayako quickly grabbed it. "I'm going to take a shower too. You go to bed and wait for me."

"yes."

As soon as Anton entered the bathroom, Ayako took a deep breath and cautiously approached the bed. It was a large bed that could comfortably accommodate three or four people. Then, as if remembering something, she hurriedly walked towards the guest room door. The room lights went out, with only a faint glow coming from below the door, after which everything was plunged into darkness. Ayako slowly groped her way towards the bed and sat down. —The sound of a shower came from the bathroom. Ayako stood up, her towel slipping to her feet, and slid into the bed.

Anton emerged from the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. The room was pitch black, which left him somewhat bewildered.

"What, did you turn off all the lights?" Anton said with a smile.

"I'm just shy..." came a soft voice from the other side of the bed.

"Is that so? -- Okay, then I'll keep it locked up for now. But later, you have to let me slowly appreciate your body."

"Um……"

Anton closed the bathroom door, leaving the room pitch black. "In that case, I don't even know where the bed is..." Anton said with a wry smile. "I'm coming over now." Tossing aside the towel, Anton walked to the bed by feel, reaching out to touch the rounded blanket. "Are you trembling? It's okay. It's nothing scary." Anton slid into the bed, shifting his body closer. His hand touched smooth skin. "It's okay. —Relax, just relax." Anton hugged the soft body tightly, hearing only slightly trembling breaths. Suddenly, the body twisted and slipped from Anton's grasp. "Hey, what's wrong?" Anton said. There was a noise on the floor. "What's wrong? Are you scared? —It's okay. Come back." Anton sat up, looking around the room. —Here he saw a very faint, blurry white figure moving. "Where are you? Hey, I'm coming."

"No..." came the faint reply.

"What are you talking about? Didn't you already make up your mind?" Anton's voice turned stern. "Hey!" Suddenly, the white figure vanished. "Where did it go?" Anton reached for the bedside table; there was a lamp there. If he could just turn it on... He reached for the switch. He turned the switch, but the lamp didn't light up. Was it malfunctioning? You beast! He repeatedly turned the switch, but the lamp still didn't light up. "Damn it!" With a flick of his wrist, the lamp fell to the ground. "Hey! Are you planning to hide forever? You're not a child. Why are you only getting scared now?" Anton silently revealed a malicious smile. "Fine. —Since that's the case, I'll come and catch you. Just you wait." With that, he leaped out of bed.

Anton stared motionless into the silent darkness. A noise came from behind. "Found it!" Anton walked towards the sound, bumping into the front of a chair. He tossed the chair over. "—You beast! Where are you?" Anton roared as soon as he got out of bed. —Right, the light switch! Only a sliver of light from the hallway shone through the space under the door. Anton quickly approached, feeling his way along the wall. The switch…the switch… "Got it. —Hey, where were you hiding? Now I've found you." He clicked the switch. —None of the lights turned on. What happened? What on earth was going on?

Just then, a loud clatter came from the table on the right side inside, as if something was moving. There it was. Anton rushed over, but his foot seemed to be caught off guard, and he fell forward unprepared. Something hard hit his head, and he couldn't help but cry out. "Ouch...it hurts, you beast!—Hey! Enough already!" Anton stood up, his voice trembling. "You think I'd just sit back and let a little girl like you play the fool? If I find out, I'll hang you up and beat you until you're crying and begging for mercy. Understand?" Anton stood motionless, panting heavily, slowly scanning the darkness. "Don't test my patience...what are you trying to do? I don't understand." A "crack" sound came from somewhere. "Where? Hey!" Suddenly something flew over and hit his knee. Anton cried out and clutched his knee, crouching down.

"You bastard! Come out here!" Anton's face was contorted with rage. "I'm going to kill you! I mean it! I even killed that woman! If you don't want to be killed by me, you'd better come out and beg for mercy on your knees! I hate guys who boss me around or resist me! Hey, come out here!"

Anton roared incessantly. — Suddenly, a beam of white light shot out from the darkness.

Anton's eyes widened. —The one standing there completely naked wasn't Ayako, but Yuriko.

"It's you..."

"You killed Junko Mizuguchi, didn't you?" Yuriko's voice was very soft.

"You... you lied to me!" Anton lunged at Yuriko. —Thud! With a sharp sound, Anton collapsed as if his body had fallen apart. It was as if a wide white net separated Yuriko from him.

The room lights came on. Yuriko emerged from the bathroom, wearing a bathrobe. Anton lay slumped in front of the broken, semi-transparent mirror. Kuniyoshi rose from the shadows of the sofa, leaned closer to Anton, and looked him over. "—He just fainted. He's alright. Are you alright?" Yuriko nodded.

Ayako poked her head out from under the bed, "Yuriko..."

"Big sister, everything's alright now."

"It was that person... who killed someone, wasn't it?"

"He was a man with a dual personality. He was very gentle when women were obedient to him; but when they defied him, he became violent and agitated."

"Big sister, are you alright?"

"Um..." Ayako sobbed, "I...I'm such a fool..."

"Don't be like this. You're the eldest sister. Be strong."

"Without Yuriko, someone like me couldn't do anything."

"Stop saying that, get out from under the bed."
