Chapitre 10

Fearing that the fool might give up halfway or fall, Qin Chu followed behind Zhao Yuan the whole way, only overtaking him at the very end and climbing onto the balcony.

Qin Chu intended to help Zhao Yuan, but he greatly underestimated the fool's ability to court death.

Zhao Yuan had already stepped onto the balcony when he suddenly slipped and fell forward. Qin Chu instinctively reached out to catch him, but the balcony was too narrow, and there was still a puddle of water on the tiles.

With a thud, the two of them fell heavily to the ground.

Unfortunately, Qin Chu's mouth hit Zhao Yuan's chin, and he tasted blood.

Before Qin Chu could even remove Zhao Yuan's clothes from his body, he heard footsteps inside the dormitory, followed by Tian Li's loud shout: "Who? Who the hell dares to sneak into my dorm..."

The roar abruptly stopped.

The balcony suddenly became extremely quiet, with only the breathing of a few people remaining.

Thinking he had been robbed, Tian Li rushed out and found the two top students in the dormitory piled up on top of each other.

Yes, the person below is covering their mouth.

Tian Li stared blankly at the mop in his hand, a look of utter disbelief on his face, as if he'd just stumbled upon a completely new world: "You guys are just too much..."

That's fucking intense!

Zhao Yuan was stunned because he didn't expect Qin Chu to hit his mouth. Before he could react, Qin Chu kicked him down.

Even after being thrown to the ground, Zhao Yuan wasn't angry.

Instead of getting up, he sat on the ground and rummaged through his schoolbag.

A moment later, Zhao Yuan pulled out a bunch of keys, tilted his head back and looked at Qin Chu: "Classmate, I have the keys, why are we climbing onto the balcony?"

"..." General Qin wiped his mouth, feeling more humiliated than ever before. "Why didn't you say so sooner?"

Zhao Yuan looked aggrieved: "You wouldn't let me talk, but you dragged me here."

Qin Chu's face was almost cracked from the cold as he walked back to his dormitory.

Behind him, Tian Li saw the key excitedly circling around Zhao Yuan: "Holy crap, the dorm key? Bro, where did you get it? Lend it to me if you need it..."

I didn't fall asleep until midnight that night.

The next morning, before Qin Chu even opened his eyes, he felt something hot pressed against his cheek. Before it could touch him, Qin Chu reached out and pinched it.

Before he could even use his strength, he heard Zhao Yuan's voice: "Don't use your strength, don't use your strength, if you crush it we'll all be in trouble."

What the hell is this...?

Qin Chu opened his eyes and was surprised to see that he was holding a cup of soy milk in his hand. Zhao Yuan stood by his bedside, holding the railing with one hand and pressing the cup against his face with the other.

The boy is tall and has long legs, so even passing things up to the upper bunk is easy for him.

However, Zhao Yuan was right. Fortunately, Qin Chu did not sense any malice and did not exert force. Otherwise, if the soy milk had spilled, both Qin Chu's bed and Zhao Yuan's face would have been affected.

Qin Chu sat up, looking at Zhao Yuan with annoyance: "I said no..."

Zhao Yuan chimed in, "This isn't behind us, is it?"

"..."

Qin Chu ignored him, climbed off the bed, grabbed her school uniform, and headed to the bathroom.

Halfway there, he glanced at the time and asked Zhao Yuan with some surprise, "Why haven't you left yet today?"

Zhao Yuan was leaning against the table, not wearing his school uniform jacket. The boy's slender frame was faintly visible through the thin inner layer in the misty morning light.

Hearing this, he raised the glass in his hand: "Today when I walked to the cafeteria, I suddenly became afraid that the group of people from yesterday would come to the school to cause trouble, so..."

His timid tone completely washed away any trace of his flamboyant youthful spirit.

Qin Chu was speechless for a moment, then looked at Zhao Yuan: "Then why aren't you afraid that these people will come into your dormitory and block you?"

These words were meant as a sarcastic remark, but they seemed to remind Zhao Yuan of something. The man clapped his hands and looked over in alarm: "That's right, then hurry up, deskmate, let's run!"

Qin Chu: "..."

He found that his temper was getting worse and worse, and he felt like hitting someone first thing in the morning.

After washing up, Qin Chu picked up the books she had gone to get the night before, took the breakfast Zhao Yuan had given her, and headed to the classroom.

As if genuinely afraid of being caught up, Zhao Yuan didn't fall behind today, but instead walked quickly alongside Qin Chu.

"Hey, is this all you ate for breakfast?"

"Hey deskmate, is that stack of books heavy? Let me help you carry it."

"My deskmate..."

Qin Chu suddenly stopped and turned to look at Zhao Yuan.

Seeing that Zhao Yuan had finally fallen silent under his gaze, Qin Chu pointed to the small pond next to him and said, "If you make any more noise, you'd better go in and soak."

Qin Chu thought Noah was very useless.

The information he provided about Zhao Yuan revealed a very obvious personality trait: he was withdrawn.

But now it seems, if this is called being withdrawn, then Qin Chu is just autistic. What withdrawn guy could talk on and on like that the whole way?

Upon hearing this, the young man wasn't scared at all; instead, he gave him a helpless look.

Qin Chu didn't care whether he was helpless or not; as long as he kept quiet, that was a good thing.

But less than two minutes later, Qin Chu heard this guy sigh softly behind him again: "Classmate, you can't be so fierce..."

"..."

Qin Chu turned around and grabbed Zhao Yuan by the collar. "I can be even fiercer. Do you want to try?"

Before Zhao Yuan could react, Qin Chu heard a thud from a classroom behind him.

Turning around, I saw a boy who had been peering out the window shrink back as if he'd seen a ghost, accidentally kicking over a chair in the process. Then, a suppressed, surprised voice came from inside the classroom: "Tian Li was right after all!"

Tian Li...

Mentioning Tian Liqin Chu's face turned as stiff as a coffin.

Just then, the person he was holding in his hand moved closer, stared at his lips for a long time, and exclaimed, "Ah!" "Classmate, you have scabs on your lips."

Qin Chu: "..."

He was so tough, he couldn't bring himself to hit him, but he was also unwilling to give up. He could only suffer a heart attack from holding it in.

After finally arriving at the classroom and sitting down, Qin Chu heard his classmates talking about gossip instead of reading.

"Have you heard? Someone climbed over the wall in the middle of the night last night and even alerted Old Man Liu."

"I know, Old Liu reported it to the Academic Affairs Office this morning, and they're investigating. Apparently, Old Liu heard one of the names, so they should be able to find out soon, right?"

Hearing this, Noah started screaming: "Waaaaah, please don't let them find out!"

Qin Chu's head was throbbing from the noise, and he was racking his brains for a solution when he felt a poke in the waist. Turning around, he saw Zhao Yuan leaning on the table, mouthing to him, "What do we do?"

Qin Chu covered his face with a book: "Go read your book!"

This incident caused quite a stir at the school. Students from every grade knew that two brave souls had climbed over the wall in the middle of the night and even gave Old Liu a beating.

Qin Chu didn't think anything of it, but Noah was extremely worried.

"Oh no, what should I do?"

"What if I get caught? Won't that ruin my public image?"

"What if the mainframe finds out? Waaaaah, I don't want to contribute my database..."

This guy was crying so sincerely that Qin Chu was speechless. He said, "You have a problem understanding the term 'top student.' It's just climbing a wall, isn't it?"

Besides, he and Zhao Yuan were also involved in the appointment of the homeroom teacher. Although they had a fight in the middle, what could it possibly do to exchange statements with Zhao Yuan?

It wasn't until after two classes that things finally started to look promising.

During the long break, we were supposed to do eye exercises, but none of the students did them properly. Instead, they were gesturing wildly with their fingers on their faces while muttering to themselves:

"The person who climbed the wall yesterday has been found! But only one."

Upon hearing this, a bunch of people craned their necks and asked, "Holy crap, who is it? What grade is it? How did they even find it?"

The gossipmonger said smugly, "Originally, we couldn't find them, but Old Liu's hearing is still good, and he heard one of their names."

Qin Chu began to reflect on whether he had called Zhao Yuan's name when he was so angry with Zhao Yuan yesterday.

Even Zhao Yuan turned slightly to listen to what was being said behind him.

Just then, the guy said again, "Hey, those two were careless. Old Liu said he heard one of them shouting from far away, and it was more than once."

Qin Chu had a vague feeling that something was wrong.

The gossip-loving crowd grew impatient, and a girl reached out and patted the guy on the back: "Stop keeping us in suspense, who is it?"

"That's exactly what I was talking about. I overheard it myself while I was in the office. Old Liu said that yesterday, one of the two ran fast and the other ran slow. The one who ran slow seemed afraid of being left behind, so he shouted the name of the person in front of him at the top of his lungs, something like Tong Zhuo, Tong Zhuo!"

Qin Chu: "..."

Zhao Yuan: "..."

Chapter 11, First Story (9)

Unable to bear it any longer, Qin Chu kicked Zhao Yuan in the leg.

Zhao Yuan was extremely weak, so he immediately lay down on the table and pretended to be dead.

Upon hearing that it wasn't someone from their class, most of the gossip enthusiasts immediately lost interest, leaving only a few still asking in hushed tones, "Has that person been found?"

"How could we not find her? We found her last class." The gossipmonger, seeing so many girls lose interest, stopped doing his exercises and started gesturing wildly. "We pulled up the student information, and our school really does have someone named Tong Zhuo, a freshman."

Hearing this, Qin Chu became somewhat concerned, worried that he might have wronged someone.

He was about to turn around and ask when he heard the guy behind him say, "Although the person was called, Old Liu shook his head when he saw him. Old Liu also said it definitely wasn't this kid, because with this kid's height, even if he were squatting on the wall, he wouldn't be able to see him!"

Unexpectedly, this was the result, and the group couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Noah finally breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.

Qin Chu thought he was making a mountain out of a molehill. After thinking about what he had done in the past few days, he said, "I think your understanding of top students is somewhat skewed."

He's been fighting, his ranking has dropped, and he's even climbed a wall these past few days, but he hasn't really ruined his public image.
