Han Xiao didn't dare move and stood there frozen for a while. Then she heard someone groaning and cursing loudly down the slope. Han Xiao listened and thought the voice sounded like Shi Er's. She shouted, "Who's down there? Is it Brother Shi?"

A moment later, Shi Er replied, "It's me. You didn't die from the fall?" Han Xiao didn't know how to answer. She had already spoken, so of course she hadn't died.
