Kapitel 81

"I can do it myself..." Jiang Jianhuan didn't even have time to stop him. Su Mo was washing the mop and said without looking up when she heard this.

"You've been working too hard lately, take a good rest."

""

"It really is just a small thing." Su Mo finished washing the mop and put it back in its place, then dried her hands.

"I'm going back."

"Okay, be careful on the road." She walked over to see him off. Su Mo picked up her coat from the back of the chair, walked to the door, and looked up at Jiang Jianhuan, who was watching her leave.

"Aren't you going to say goodbye?"

"What?"

Jiang Jianhuan didn't react, but Su Mo answered with her actions.

He lowered his head, pressed his palm against the back of her head, and pushed her forward, giving her a deep kiss on her soft lips.

"Consider it payment."

After Su Mo left, Jiang Jianhuan finished washing up and sat on the bed, anxiously searching for news about him on his phone.

Aside from the most popular big-name accounts at the top, almost all the posts were confessions from fans. Jiang Jianhuan selected today as the date and scrolled through the posts with bated breath, fearing that she might see the two of them appear on the page.

Fortunately, everything seemed calm. She breathed a slight sigh of relief and was about to exit when she suddenly saw a post.

[Aaaaaaahhhhh!!! I think I saw Su Mo at the concert today! There was a girl next to him who was definitely his girlfriend! She was sleeping on his shoulder. Su Mo is so damn gentle, I didn't dare to take a picture.]

P.S., although he said he wasn't, with my ten years of experience as a fan, I absolutely cannot be mistaken! Wishing my brother happiness!!! [Sob!]

Jiang Jianhuan's heart skipped a beat. Fortunately, there were no reposts or comments below, as if no one was paying attention.

The post was published three hours ago. I clicked into her profile and found that she only had a dozen or so followers. She was probably just a small netizen who couldn't contain her excitement and vented her frustrations.

Jiang Jianhuan stopped thinking about it, turned off her phone, and prepared to go to sleep.

The garment production went smoothly; once the fabric issue was resolved, there were no major difficulties.

She has a total of five outfits.

A light green jacket paired with dark blue high-waisted wide-leg jeans, a dark pink jacket with a khaki corduroy suspender skirt, a pale yellow top with a flowing white skirt, and a purple two-piece pantsuit.

Finally, a colorful dress with a slightly exaggerated and unrestrained cut made its grand finale appearance, highlighting the theme.

New life. Spring.

This is her design concept for this project: simple, direct, and visually impactful.

The rest of the design team were full of praise, because the final product had a brighter, more realistic color, making it look even more beautiful. Several outfits placed side by side created a truly stunning effect.

The grand finale will be held in a city adjacent to Jiangcheng, about a two-hour drive away. Judges will be present on the day to watch the contestants' finished garments showcased through a fashion show.

Taking the high-speed rail is more convenient, taking only about half an hour, and the tickets and accommodation are provided by the organizer.

After arriving, Jiang Jianhuan found the hotel based on the check-in information received on her mobile phone.

The organizers were not stingy; although the hotel wasn't five-star, it was a well-known domestic chain, and each person had their own room.

Jiang Jianhuan arrived in the afternoon and didn't see anyone else. The finals were tomorrow morning, giving all the contestants half a day to rest, as the locations varied and some people needed most of the day to get there.

Jiang Jianhuan was relatively lucky, as he happened to live nearby.

After settling into her hotel and resting for a while, she went out for a stroll. This city is quite famous in the country, with many well-known tourist attractions. Jiang Jianhuan was exhausted after visiting several and decided to return early to rest.

I had dinner at a local restaurant near the hotel, then went back to my room, took a shower, and went to bed early. I was probably too tired, and I fell into a deep sleep very quickly.

When I was awakened by the knocking on the door, the room was pitch black, with only a sliver of light filtering in from the window. I had no idea what time it was.

Jiang Jianhuan groggily turned on the light. There were still loud noises coming from the door, accompanied by the man's impatient shouts. Probably because she didn't respond for a while, the knocking and shouting intensified.

"Police are conducting a room check, please cooperate!"

Jiang Jianhuan came to her senses, suppressed her panic, picked up her phone from the bedside table and glanced at it; it was one in the morning.

"It's so late, is something the matter?"

"Room check! We've received information that a criminal is currently hiding in this hotel. Please show your ID!" someone outside shouted. Jiang Jianhuan hesitated, then called out.

"Wait a moment."

After she finished speaking, she walked over very quietly and looked out through the peephole.

Two men stood by the door, dressed in police uniforms, with buzz cuts, waiting impatiently, glancing up at the peephole every now and then. Although she knew they couldn't see from the outside, Jiang Jianhuan still panicked a moment when their eyes met.

There seemed to be nothing unusual, and most people would probably cooperate. However, Jiang Jianhuan had encountered too many illegal incidents during her time abroad, so she couldn't help but be more vigilant.

She thought for a moment, then immediately went back to her bedside and used the landline to call the hotel front desk.

No one answered the phone for a long time until the call ended automatically with a beep.

The knocking at the door started again, each knock louder than the last, like a death knell. Apparently impatient from waiting, the person outside urged her sternly, almost as if they were about to break down the door. A wave of panic washed over her, and all sorts of guesses rushed through her mind.

People outside were already threatening her for obstructing official business. Jiang Jianhuan tried calling the front desk again, but no one answered. She gritted her teeth and dialed the police.

After an anxious beeping, the call finally connected. Amidst the loud knocking, the person on the other end patiently listened to her questions, carefully inquired about her location, and finally solemnly told her the answer.

"Madam, we have not verified any notification. Please lock your doors and windows and it is best not to leave your room. We will contact the relevant hotel staff for you."
