Kapitel 120

As soon as the door opened a crack, the man's hand, like a skeletal claw, dragged her into the room.

Zhao Xiyin refused to yield, clinging to the doorknob. Zhou Qishen lifted her up from behind and snapped the doorknob handle in two. He then wrapped one arm around Zhao Xiyin's waist and tossed her onto the bed.

Zhao Xiyin was so shocked that she felt dizzy and glared at him angrily, "Zhou Qishen, you bastard!"

"So what if I'm a bastard?" Zhou Qishen loosened his tie again, pinning her hand above her head. "I'll teach you a lesson you won't forget today!"

Zhao Xiyin struggled fiercely, punching and kicking, "You old man, ugly man, dead man, you're uglier than a ghost!"

The two of them were panting heavily and finally ran out of energy.

A brief silence fell as their eyes met. One harbored resentment, the other bitterness. Their gaze was like the gentle flow of hot spring water after the tide had receded.

Unable to hold back, they both laughed.

Zhao Xiyin's angry scolding turned into a mocking laugh, "Zhou Qishen, how childish are you?"

Zhou Qishen gritted his teeth, pressed down on the man, and said hatefully, "You're just pretending to be ignorant when you know the truth."

Zhao Xiyin's brows furrowed. "What do I understand?"

Zhou Qishen suddenly lowered his head and took a deep breath on her neck, his voice filled with both hatred and resentment: "...Knowing I'm jealous, you still treat me like this."

Like a feather tickling her heart, Zhao Xiyin's fingers trembled, and she unconsciously softened her tone, "So what do you want?"

"Hold me." Zhou Qishen whispered, "He'll hug you a few times, and he'll pay you back double, not a single time less."

The faint scent of perfume from his collar seeped into her lungs, clogging her breathing, sending shivers through her limbs, and finally striking her heart. Zhao Xiyin's eyes burned, her resistance vanished, and she gently placed her soft hand on his shoulder, her voice muffled as she demanded, "Then watch a horror movie with me."

Zhou Qi responded in a deep voice: "See, I'll watch any movie with you. Even if there were a ghost holding a gun to my head right now, I would never run away."

After he finished speaking, with a "click," all the incandescent bulbs lit up.

The bedroom lights were so bright that it was hard to open one's eyes.

Zhou Qishen instinctively reached out and covered Zhao Xiyin's eyes to shield her from the light. Before he could even adjust, he received a heavy knock on the head.

Zhao Wenchun, carrying fruit, broke off a banana and tapped his head repeatedly. "Watching movies? What kind of movies do you want to watch? You're so weak that you have to go to the toilet three times every five minutes and you still want to watch movies? You can't tolerate tonics, and your yang energy is leaking out. Don't you understand such a simple principle?"

Teacher Zhao said with great distress, "Qishen, you have disappointed me so much!!"

Zhou Qishen had suffered a mild concussion a few days prior and couldn't withstand this beating. With the final blow, the banana in Teacher Zhao's hand snapped with a "crack." Zhou Qishen was covered in banana, and Zhao west was so badly injured he couldn't straighten up.

Zhao Wenchun was stunned. The kind-hearted old man felt guilty and was about to apologize when a female ghost screamed, "Ah!!" which startled him so much that he jumped up on the spot.

The projector was still on, and the horror movie was still playing.

The female ghost's gaping maw was aimed directly at the screen. Zhao Wenchun shifted back, covered his eyes, and roared, "Zhao Xiyin!!"

Zhao Xiyin quickly turned off the projector and bowed deeply in apology, "I'm so sorry, Teacher Zhao."

Zhou Qishen raised an eyebrow and said in a low voice behind her, "You're always so domineering towards me."

Zhao Xiyin turned around and glared at him, "I'm just bullying you."

Zhou Qishen frowned, feeling a sweet taste, as if he had drunk spring water.

Zhao Wenchun patted his chest to catch his breath, and said weakly, "You, you guys want to watch this movie?"

Zhao Xiyin nodded, looking rather aggrieved. "Although my hobby is a bit niche, at least it's still serious stuff, unlike some people whose computers are full of random downloaded stuff."

Zhao Wenchun blinked. "What what?"

Zhao Xiyin pointed to the right and poked at him playfully with her slender finger, "Ask him."

Concerned about his junior's health, Zhao Wenchun immediately began a serious interrogation: "What did you download on your computer?"

Sweat dripped down Zhou Qishen's back, and he remained silent.

"You, you, you, sit here." Teacher Zhao pulled out a chair, as if to have a long talk by candlelight.

Zhao Xiyin, with the demeanor of a well-behaved girl, left the room with great poise. As she closed the door, she gave Zhou Qishen a smug wink, her mind full of mischief.

Zhou Qishen's phoenix eyes narrowed, lowering and sinking, the heat in his eyes burning intensely.

For half an hour, one could occasionally hear Teacher Zhao's earnest teachings from inside the room: "The kidneys are the foundation of innate essence... Before this body existed, there were two kidneys... What did I say in the last five sentences? Repeat it to me..."

Zhao Xiyin chuckled to herself outside the door, in high spirits. She bent over, palm on the ground, and executed a beautiful and nimble side somersault. In the end, Zhou Qishen left respectfully, repeatedly saying "Goodbye, Uncle Zhao," almost bowing to him.

Sure enough, less than a quarter of an hour later, Zhou Qishen's message popped up: "Zhao Xiaoniu, you're pretty arrogant today."

Zhao Xiyin raised an eyebrow and sent a cool emoji of someone wearing sunglasses and smoking.

Zhou: "Aren't you going to ask me about the outcome of my late-night conversation with Teacher Zhao?"

Zhao: "Can you recite 'The kidneys are the foundation of innate constitution' from memory?"

There was no response for a long time; he was probably choking on his words and almost died.

A little while later, Zhao Wenchun called her from inside the house, "Xi'er, come help me see why I can't download anything on this phone."

As Zhao Xiyin walked over, she asked, "What do you want to download in the middle of the night?"

Teacher Zhao sat in a rocking chair, wearing reading glasses, holding her phone far away, squinting her eyes with difficulty. "He said he would send me some videos, the really good kind."
